This may be the worst place I have ever seen to have a wedding.
Firstly, the facility, there were weeds growing throughout all of the plants. There was also a random and very tacky Statute of Liberty (holding a light bulb and not a torch) near the gazebo. The ballroom had a musty smell and the carpets looked worn. The bathrooms were dark and dingy and smelled like a Steeler game just let out. The lighting was very dark and made taking pictures very difficult inside. It also was very hot in the ballroom and it seemed that it got hotter as the party was getting closer to the end (maybe they turned the air off).
Second, the gazebo, being that is was an outdoor wedding ceremony you would have thought that there would have been a sound system that had speakers outside of the gazebo. But not this place. The only "sound system" were the speakers in the ceiling of the gazebo. With Route 30 only a short distance away, being able to hear the ceremony was impossible. Also there were bees and all kind of other insects flying around. Thank God no one was stung.
Thirdly, the food, the appetizers were nothing special. They were basically frozen food that was either deep fried or just reheated. They were not very warm either. The dinner choices were Chicken Romano and Tilapia. I had the Chicken Romano. It was very dry. So dry that one person at my table asked for gravy, when the manager, Suzie Domasky, brought out a butter sauce the person said I hope this helps because this chicken is very dry. The manager's reply was I hope so. After the wedding, I was so hungry that we went to Wendy's for a chicken sandwich that was so much moister and had better taste. How sad is that?
Finally, the staff, at best they were not responsive to the guests needs. At the rehearsal no one from this place was there. The buildings were locked and no rest room facilities were available for use during the rehearsal. The manager, in her Mercedes, stopped by for a few minutes as the bridal party arrived, but did not stay or help out with anything. Being someone who worked over 5 years (through High School and College) working banquets/weddings I have an understanding of what the staff should be doing. The manager acted as if she was being bothered when asked any question. The minister asked if there is a lectern available, and the manager asked if he brought one. Guess he should keep one in his pocket. The one she brought out had no holder for the microphone and had "Lakeview" written on it. He did not use it. The waitresses were just rude. During the ceremony, the waitresses were putting water glasses at each table and spilled water on many of the seats and then had to recover each of the seats. I guess they didn't realize that you could move the glass away from the table when pouring the water. When clearing the dishes they just reached in and grabbed the dishes and never excused themselves nor asked if anyone was finished (not that the food was edible). After dinner they brought coffee around but when they walked around to see if anyone wanted another cup they just walked around holding the pot never stopping at the table to ask if anyone wanted more. When they were serving the cake (there was white and chocolate cakes) they never asked what you wanted, they just tossed it in front of you like you would throw food down in front of a stray dog. The Maid of Honor asked for coffee with her cake and was told that she could not have any now. The waitress attitude was let's get everything out so we can go home. In these times with high unemployment they should be grateful to have a job. The only staff that had any manners what so ever was the bartender. He was attentive and quick to help.
Needless to say, I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you are planning a wedding or any other event here good luck. This place is a joke.
