Google
Had an amazing experience eating at Ferraro’s with my family this past week. Such friendly servers and the owner was there to greet and chat with us! The food? Amazing ! Pizza was unbelievable and you cannot leave without trying the Marry Me Spaghetti. This has become my favorite restaurant by far. Can’t wait to come back. Could not recommend it more!

Google
Excellent thin crust pizza. I consider myself a pizza snob. I can't even find pizza in NY that I love. First time trying Ferraro's Pizza and I'm in love. Sauce is delicious! Great job guys!!

Google
Really enjoy eating here all the time. Everyone is extremely friendly especially the manager. She is welcoming even though it was busy last time we came. They made some changes and have new staff and a new setting. This past Saturday I got delivery for the first time and it was on time and delicious to add the driver was friendly.

Google
Pizza worthy of a very high rating were it to make it to the marvelously entertaining "pizza" channel, and also known for a darn fine kitchen when it comes to classic Italian dishes. They had us at 1 Pie, some 30 years ago, and that is my pizza gospel!

Just found this hidden gym! Great servers and great food! Had Lorena as my server and was the best. Will definitely be coming back.

Google
The pizza is pretty good, the crust is a bit hard for what I prefer but all around it was a pretty solid pizza. Also had some chicken tenders and fries. Both crispy and not overcooked. The indoor dining area looked pretty nice and I belive its byo. The girl at the front desk was also very pleasant. I would return to try some other dishes.

Google

Yelp
We've been getting take out from Ferraro's for over 20 years. We enjoy their pizza! Calamari and shrimp parmigiana. Their Sicilian pizza is awesome! We add extra cheese and pepperoni! So yummy! It's great comfort food that I usually pick up on my way home from work! Highly recommend! Also have dine in! Bring your own alcohol.

Yelp
Had a wonderful meal Mothers Day at Ferraro's. Everything was delicious we had Chicken Vodka Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala, and Chicken Martini. Large portions excellent sauces. The Chicken Martini was a little salty but still good. Pasta Fagioli soup also excellent. First time we have visited since the new owners took over. Inside has been updated and very nice. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
So disappointing this restaurant used to be my favorite spot for Italian food I've been eating here for 15 years however in the past 3 years the quality has gone down drastically I ordered food today to pick up they said it would take 25 minutes as soon as they called and said it was ready I sent my husband inside to get it when he got back to the car the food was ice cold like it had been sitting there for 20 minutes definitely wasn't fresh absolutely disappointed I unfortunately will not be ordering from here anymore

Nisha N.

Yelp
I've been coming here forever since I grew up walking distance from this restaurant. I only ever get the pizza but it is perfect. Also loved thier drink options in the fridge. Good location, friendly staff and delicious food!

Carol S.

Yelp
I ordered a penne vodka and added grilled chicken on it. Barely has any flavor. I wish it had more sauce or more flavor.

Mike E.

Yelp
Used to be the best pizza around. Something about the cheese blend was special. Now they have changed the style to "trendy" or cost saving pizza with round cheese pieces instead of the old-style with the cheese covering the whole pie. Makes a huge difference because you can no longer taste the cheese. Asked for a pie in the old way with the cheese covering the whole pie. Was asked what that was? I said with extra cheese. They charged me for the extra cheese and when I opened the box up, it was trendy pizza again with no extra cheese. Such a shame. So many good memories. The old owner used to sell at-cost full cheese covered pies to the local PTAs so kids could buy slices for $1 after school and that got most of us hooked. Around here, hit up oakwood pizza for their Buffalo Chicken pizza or Brooklyn Boys for their vodka (although you'll probably want to add some salt and parm).

Aubrey T.

Yelp
I love this place. There's not a lot of "mom and pop" places around anymore, and this is a great one. The food is delicious and the prices are pretty reasonable. The service is great too. This is a great place for families. Go in, say hi to Donna, and try a Donna pie! Lol their calamari and tri-colore salad are some of my favorites.

Erica S.

Yelp
I've had way better pasta. It is a full entree so it comes with the 2 that you see and a side salad - which I didn't know. It was for takeout, but no silverware or butter was included. Not worth the price. The staff were nice though.

Chris L.

Yelp
Well the pizza was very old looking and I said something..so I ordered a meal and it was good..as soon as I left the old pizza that was for sale was magically taken away..so I would just go somewhere else for a quick slice if I was ever in that area..

Michael D.

Yelp
People sometimes leave the strangest reviews. Giving 1 star because they dont like the pizza taste or because you didn't get utensils with a take out order lol. With that said, I stumbled upon for Ferraro's as I was picking food up at a restaurant next door. So the next day we decided to give Ferraro's a chance. We noticed on their website they had a family meal which included salad, pasta, chicken dish, bread and served 4. The person who answered the phone couldnt have been more friendly. My wife asked for the food to be ready at a specific time and when I went to pick it up I was again greated by a very friendly girl and the food was hot and ready. When I got home and opened everything I was surprised by the amount of food. The meal could have eaisly feed 5 or 6 people. We ordered penne vodka and chicken franchaise both were absolutely delicious and the cesar salad was nicely prepared and tasty. We are excited to go back and try other meals. If you are in the area I recommend stopping in.

Shenka S.

Yelp
Best pizza around!! When my relatives come to town they request that we order it from here

Yury T.

Yelp
Their pepperoni pizza is a thing of beauty. Great food and great service. Never been disappointed with any of the food items at this place

Vincent C.

Yelp
Nothing to go crazy over. Got a pie, Buffalo tater kegs (liked these s lot), and chicken vodka hero. Pizza wasn't great and hero was dry.

Pearce C.

Yelp
We visited some friends in Edison and they chose this place despite the many surrounding pizza places. Ferraro's was definitely a good choice. We kept it simple and ordered a plain pie and pepperoni pie. It was fantastic. The crust had a great crisp and it was chewy or doughy like other joints. The cheese to sauce ratio was on point. The sauce had good flavor. The pepperoni was crispy. It was a really good pizza pie.

Binita S.

Yelp
I didn't know this place existed and I live not even a minute away from it . Very homey feel and a great restaurant . Excellent service ! I ordered a personal cheese pizza with olives and jalapeños on it . I do have to say I paid way too much for extras on my pizza . It was about $1.00 per topping ! However, it was good pizza just not sure if I would pay so much for toppings . I ordered a glass of white whine and the waitress gave me red and kept telling me it's what I ordered . I stopped arguing after realizing she's a young girl who probably isn't even of drinking age. My wine was also very warm ! Wasn't a big fan but you can't go wrong with wine right ? Had to finish it - hot or cold ! Besides the wine mishap this place is great - the food is great - I will be coming back again. Especially since it's so convenient and close to home .

Lane B.

Yelp
Used to be a favorite. I drive past 5 or 6 other very similar restaurants to get their food. No more. Penne vodka is now $17. Everywhere else its $12/$13 and you cant finish it all. It comes with a side salad and bread like everywhere else. Now at Ferraros it $17 for smaller portion. Still tastes good. The kicker is this. The side salad only comes with house dressing. I asked for french when I ordered and was told no. Only house. When I got there to pick it up I asked again and with the owner right there, I was told no again. Just a stupid decision. I read on a google review that someone said similar things and that the owner turned the business over to daughter and thats when the prices were increased and the portions reduced.

Yelp
This place has always had the best pizza around. Sauce was great, cheese was delicious, crust was always crispy. I'm not really sure what happened to it as we haven't ordered from here in awhile, but we ordered a large pie "to go" with extra cheese and well done (as we always did in the past) and it doesn't look or taste like the same pizza!! We attempted to eat one slice and unfortunately, it went right into the garbage. Such a disappointment. Regarding the pics: the pizza was secured in a flat trunk on the way home (didn't move or fall). Opened the box and this is what we had ...

Aaron H.

Yelp
Wow. Are you kidding me? I never eat salad. Decided to try and eat healthier, so I went with the salad with their homemade strawberry dressing and subbed out the shrimp with grilled chicken. Absolutely outstanding. Best salad I ever had in my 26 1/2 years of existing on this planet. hands down. It has green apples sliced up and honey walnuts?? Or glazed walnuts in it also?? Either way it rocks my socks off. I'd drive out of my way just to get this salad. Ive been working in the parking lot and apartments near by so I pretty much went here and got this same thing each day. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is clean. Don't hesitate, just go and see for yourself.

Dave R.

Yelp
It had been about 6-7 years since I have gotten pizza from Ferraro's and the quality has not diminished one bit. Great pizza with a crispy crust and good flavor. One of the better pizza places in north Edison.

Mike B.

Yelp
Pizza is great but the wraps not so much. Ordered a grilled chicken caesar wrap but ended up getting a wrap stuffed with a bunch of lettuce instead.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Unfortunately we didn't like the pizza. Apparently it used to be THE place to go in the area.... But we were very disappointed. The thin crust was soggy - not sure if it was because the pizza was so greasy or if it was undercooked. The mushrooms tasted like they were canned.... They were chewy and had a really weird flavor (almost tasted like they were pickled???).... Definitely not fresh and we ended up removing them to eat. Overall we would not be in a rush to come back.

Jeff M.

Yelp
They have one of the best tasting pizza in NJ. The pepperoni curls up here which I love and for those pepperoni lovers u know what I'm talking about.

Denise M.

Yelp
The BEST Farfalle gambertti is filled to the top! Bread and salad ALWAYS comes with it! Only doing takeout & delivery And I asked if silverware was in the bag, but the staff told me they only Give it out when you ask for it.

MaryAnn B.

Yelp
Unusual layout/part dining room-part pizza place-pizza slice was very small compared to newer larger pieces usually offered at local pizza shops. Liquor license too- but bar hidden in back??? Not such a great place.

ruby s.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious!!!! It was thin, sauce was tasty and it had the perfect amount of cheese. The service was great too!!! Glad I stopped by to try it. I will be going there more often.

Sunil L.

Yelp
They are pricier than other Ferraro's at amboy ave. Amboy ave Ferraro's is easily better in taste and service but this location is convenient and they deliver as well. No complaints. Not the best but much better than most other places

Anne C.

Yelp
Pizza was burnt black burnt I like well done but this was black no reheating leftovers and we got zucchini sticks and no dip very disappointed

Arty D.

Yelp
I have yet to find another who enjoys anchovies on their pizza as much as I do. I freakin' luh dem. If I were to meet a girl who didn't limit these slivers of salty goodness to only my (better) half of the pie, I'd wife her in a minute. Anchovy pizza? I do. Jersey pies win pizza wars hands down in my opinion. It's in the tap water! (collective moan via nyc elites ensues) and a fairly decent steeping of fine Jersey-Italian tradition. Ferraro's serves a Jersey pie upgrade with quality ingredients; top tier, best in class slices at fair and reasonably sound prices. Thin yet billowy, the crust is crisp in all the right places. Their sauce is fresh with a hint of tang; a perfect companion to their bubbly mozzarella. The cheese is applied in chunks; an application that propels this pizza above the standard shredded cheese variety. I've tried anchovy slices across the country, and I must say that Ferraro's holds strongly in my fave five of fab pies. Their achilles is found via cooking method; standard deck pizza oven. I am a huge fan of brick/wood burning oven pizza, but Ferraro's seems to compensate by using high-quality ingredients and superb pie crafting techniques. MUST HAVES: -Anchovy pizza (hush now) PROS: -Fresh ingredients -Consistent quality -Not overly priced for top notch ingredients CONS: -No delivery The LD: Near-gourmet pizza at regular Jersey pie prices.

Yelp
Great food and even better service. Ordered the dinner for 4- very convenient-- and the staff was very nice. The food was done when I arrived and the girls at the counter were extremely nice. Hear it's under new management and everything is going smoothly! Had a great experience and will be coming back again soon.

Gaby T.

Yelp
food is amazing, always get the donnas thin and crispy. Best pizza and italian food in the area. The staff is so kind, and give you the best service. Definitely a great experience and will order to again!!

Denise H.

Yelp
Extremely rude staff. Ordered a pie told 20 minutes. Came to pick it until and was told it would be right out. Almost 30 minutes of standing at the counter and being ignored I started asking if it was almost ready. I kept on being told yes yes. When they knew I was getting angry instead of apologizing was basically yelled at that they had a problem with their computer. Nobody mentioned this once and there was no problem with the computer when I first walked in and they took my money. No apologies just attitude. Never will I go there again. Plenty of other better pizzerias around.

Rich S.

Yelp
Excellent pizza crispy crust. BYOB brought a six pack across the street. Very nice staff !

Wing C.

Yelp
great pizza and fried calamari! I came on a wednesday night and it was packed!

Stephen W.

Yelp
We don't go here that often, but when we do the food is always spot on. I usually order a large calzone (and when I say large, I mean huge) with buffalo chicken (call me crazy) because I can't seem to find it anywhere else. The quality of the food is always good and pizza is made perfect. Always call ahead because there are lines and the wait is pretty long. There is a small dining area that you should call ahead for because there are only a few tables and they fill up quick. If you want quality Italian food, go here, it's a great place!

Angela E.

Yelp
Ummmm yea. Great pizza. Excellent- but what do you expect when you are in Jersey. Soooo freaking good margarita pizza. Definitely coming back on my next visit.

George K.

Yelp
This is THE BEST Pizza I've had in a long time. Being from Brooklyn...its hard to compare pizza, but this is actually the best. Extremely friendly staff and owners. Will definitely be back for more and most likely cater as well...Decorated very nice and clean as well..

Julia D.

Yelp
Hmm, I feel like this place needs another food inspection... service was mediocre, pizza was OK, and just OK which doesn't live up to Jersey pizza standards and the wait is like waiting at the DMV.

Isabel S.

Yelp
Amazing! A few days ago I came in for dinner for the first time in a few years. I knew that they didn't accept paper gift certificates anymore, but after finding one deep in my junk drawer in the kitchen from 2008, I decided why not try! Knowing my chances were low, I asked one of the managers if they would accept my gift certificate. Without hesitation, she gladly allowed me to use it. It was a $100 gift certificate and I spent only about $50 of it, so they took the remaining balance and put it on a gift card! The place is just simply beautiful, the decor really fits the new name of Trattoria, truly a warm and comforting environment. When my husband and I came into Ferraro's that day, we were just expecting a nice meal, however it was so much more, it was a heartwarming experience.

One Love L.

Yelp
Horrible costumer service ! I walk in and They're slow, the girl at the counter doesn't know how to welcome guests into the restaurant. & most likely that's the owners daughter. Sad.

Junior M.

Yelp
The Place USED to have a very good Eggplant Parm Sandwich & Pizza. Last three times ordering we have gotten bad stomach pains and well you know what follows that. I have noticed different people working the kitchen so I will assume along with someone new cooking comes with a really bad taste. The quality of the food has really gone down hill.

Umang S.

Yelp
Best plain pizza slice in nj. They have mastered the crust : sauce : cheese ratio. I live in nyc and my fav there is Vezzo, which is brick oven thin crust style pizza. Ferraros has a friendly staff. It Gets crowded as it is very popular in n edison. Great dinner entrees & specials.

Eric L.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for about 15 years. Whenever I come back home from NYC I always make a point to stop by and grab a slice or some thing delicious. I have tasted almost everything on the menu as I have used this place to cater parties, have a casual lunch, nice, dinner, and order a pizza from. Ferraros does a couple things extremely well. 1. Make amazing sauce. This sauce is seriously good on anything. 2. Pizza crust is perfect. Great thin crust pizza with a nice crunch 3. The mozzarella sticks are fantastic and gooey on the inside. 4. Gambarini a'aglio (aka shrimp bread app) is amazing. The sauce soaks into the bread which is great to eat after the shrimp. 5. Chicken parm platter, Rigatoni Bolognese, and penne a la vodka. In my opionion, everything else on the menu is a solid 3 starts but the aforementioned are all 4-5 star quality

William Y.

Yelp
I've been eating here for about five years now and it's still the best pizza place in the area in my opinion. I always order the pepperoni pizza and the cheese melts in your mouth.

Michael F.

Yelp
NEW OWNERS! All the help needs to be trained. Be very careful if you are picking up an order that you get what you requested. Prices have been increased, and they do not have a web site yet. So if you look on the internet for prices, they will not be accurate. Other than that, I wish the new owners good luck.

Sonam S.

Yelp
I have been eating here for many years now, and it never fails to disappoint. Their pizza is my favorite in the area. I pickup every Friday and the wait isn't to long. Would recommend to anyone who likes Italian cuisine.

Tamara I.

Yelp
Pretty good food but awful customer service. We got takeout from there the other night and after picking up our order, we got home and realized they forgot all of our side salads (4 of them). We called the restaurant and they told us we could drive back and pick them up. We asked if they could be delivered bc at this point the food was getting cold and the restaurant said no. They also refused to give us a partial refund claiming they couldn't refund us anything because the salads were "complimentary." It was a very frustrating experience. We have been ordering there for 20 years and it was disheartening to see how little they cared about loyal customers. I doubt we will be returning.

Mario F.

Yelp
Pizza is ok but when you wait more than 40 min for a plain pie? Sorry there are places out there that can get you a plain pie in few minutes. No sorry won't come here any longer. This is my 2nd time here and issues w wait time both times. Pizza at best ok

K R.

Yelp
The best pizza in NJ, hands down. Thin crust, cubes of real mozzarella cheese and homemade sauce. The pizza's so good they don't have to deliver! Everything else is delicious too from pasta and seafood to subs. I really like the clams and antipasto appetizer. The baked ravioli and shrimp parmesan are also great. Everything here is top notch, real Italian food. In the winter they also have 3-4 soups to choose from too which is awesome. You can sit on the fancy side which is Elios or the casual side called Ferraros. Full bar on the fancier side, although you may be able to get beer or wine on the casual side too. Family-owned business for a long time and the place is a landmark. Highly recommended, you have to try it!! www.ferrarosfive.com

Tom L.

Yelp
I used to work down the street here for several years, but only made it here a couple of times. Cozy pizzeria, but never too crowded. Service is nice enough, but spotty (kept forgetting items to bring out) and the wait for the food can be unusually long (last time around half an hour for some sandwiches and salad). Food is generally ok, but my arugula salad with chicken which I got last time did not impress at all. Others seemed to enjoy their sandwiches and pizza which looked good but no one raved about it. Not a bad place to try, but plenty of similar pizza joints around the area.
