On the Grid : Terroir Natural Wine Bar and Merchant

"Don’t expect to find Napa Cabs or Sonoma Chardonnays here. Lesser-known natural wines are Terroir’s raison d'être. Committed to providing an unadulterated taste of a place, the owners and self-proclaimed “wine geeks,” Luc Ertoran and Dagan Ministero, only pour wines produced without pesticides, herbicides, commercial yeast, or any of the other chemicals commonly used in modern wineries. Rendezvous with your boo or settle in with friends and explore the daily selection of wines scrawled on the chalkboard behind the bar. French wines from the Jura and Loire Valley dominate the list, along with selections from Italy and California." - Airbnb

I’ve been coming here on Sundays for about a month and a half now, and honestly—it’s become one of my favorite rituals in the city. 🍷 The wine selection is always on point, the appetizers hit just right, and the people-watching is next level. There’s just this effortless vibe here—laid-back but buzzing with energy—that makes you want to linger a little longer every time. Whether I’m sipping a glass solo or catching up with friends, it always feels like the perfect way to spend a Sunday. Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant has definitely earned a permanent spot in my weekend rotation.

Marissa McNeil

Google
Overall a pleasant experience. I was in from out of town and took the ferry from Oakland. Closes early on the weekends (7pm) and in my opinion was overpriced. Ordered the cheese tray and it was nothing to write home about. Service was lovely and a good vibe for sitting at the bar and enjoying a glass of wine before catching the ferry however I likely wouldn’t go back.

Google
Our host Sam was quite friendly. A well-stocked place with delicious tapas to accompany the majestic drinks you can enjoy there. Ghost Town Pilsner and La fin du monde, two spectacular beers that leave you wanting more... To bring home we chose a 2021 Penya Rouge Cotes Catalanes, aromatic and robust (we should have brought more). If you are walking around the Embarcadero area, you have to make a mandatory stop there!

Google
The Ferry Building boasts numerous captivating spots, but this one holds a special place in my heart. It’s a place where you can simply stroll in, hop onto the spacious bar, order a glass, bottle, or even a flight of exquisite wines, and immerse yourself in the vibrant people-watching scene. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional knowledge and friendly demeanor of its staff. They are all passionate about wines and are always eager to share their expertise with visitors.

Google
The bar has a super nice trash can. The table is located inside the ferry terminal, along the central aisle. Good home. The amount of glass wine is impressive and the quality is very high. You can eat 1 plate of cold meat or cheese (1 local number!). They also serve beer. Frankly, the super lunch break. On the other hand, it is expensive but considering the place and quality...

Robert Cortez

Google
Very pleasant experience. Excelente service and excellent wine with a vew of the inner ferry terminal plaza. I really enjoyed the bread and soft triple cream cow's milk cheese, wow! Delicious.

Google
Trust The owners selections. Debbie Z. is the real deal👍💯😎✌️

Google
Couple of beers and an amazing selection of Cheese with a baguette. This place is a lovely stop after a busy day. Beers and wines from around the region and the world if required, the cheese was out of this world, in particular the goats cheese. The cheese we chose was the Special Cheese Combo with marinated olives and mushrooms and a fig chutney. Chris served us and offered excellent service.

Yelp
This a THE spot pre and post ferry ride. I've even skipped the ferry and opted for another glass of wine before boarding to cross the Bay. Michelle will take good care of you and the other customers that frequent there are a pleasure to chat with.

Yelp
Great spot while waiting for the ferry. Quick service. Good prices. Wine was perfect and decided to add some hummus and pita chips. They were so fresh and delicious I could have taken a later ferry to sit with another glass and savor those snacks. Highly recommend to spend some time here!

Yelp
We've been stopping by FPWM for many years now, even frequenting their recently closed location in Mission Bay. They have an excellent selection of wines and while the retail prices certainly won't be the lowest you can find online, they are (IMHO) definitely not unreasonable. Although they have a lovely selection of BTG wines, what we love the most and is just sitting down to enjoy a bottle in the shop, which you can do for a $15 corkage fee, while watching the comings and goings of locals and tourists alike. We stopped in on Sunday and enjoyed a nice bottle of Burgundy. Once the bartender opened and poured our first two glasses, he was nowhere to be found. Nobody stopped by to check on us, offer us water, refill our wine glasses, etc. I think it would go a long way to make an effort to come out from the bar every once in a while to check up on your other guests to see if they need anything. After all, we're paying corkage + tip for a reason. We also stopped in on Monday to enjoy some Champagne and caviar. This time, we sat at the bar counter. Glasses were refilled, water offered - it was like night and day vs. sitting at one of the tables away from the bar. But should it really be this way? Long story short, excellent wine selection and a good place to have a glass (or a bottle), but if you'd like better service, sit at the bar counter.
google avatar

Sheila P.

Yelp
I joined their wine club and I get free corkage for any wine purchased and consumed at the bar. What a great deal! Their wines are reasonably priced and they offer a good selection for my taste. The service is exemplary, however I wish they had a slightly more elevated food selection.

Yelp
I showed up to this place in 2018 omg such a long absence. Until the this holiday season. Came off the ferry had time to kill, decided to have a glass! The rose is amazing, they also have other wonderful things, prices are not too bad considering the quality and diversity. They have appetizers, smooth music and wonderful service! . If you are a TOURIST! and don't have time for a sneak away to NAPA! This is your place to come have some wine! If you are a LOCAL and haven't decided on which Napa , Livermore valley or other winery to become a member, this place has a wine club, something to consider! Definitely recommend it !!!!!

Yelp
After having lunch yesterday at Hog Island Oyster Company, the Mrs. and I took a stroll through the Ferry Building and ended up at the wine bar in the Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant. We looked over the tasting menu but ultimately decided to purchase a bottle to drink. I perused the store and landed on the Occidental 2021 Pinot Noir. It was a great choice. The guys behind the bar were really friendly. Jason was great. So if you want people watch while enjoying great wince, check out the wine bar at the Ferry Building Wine Merchant.

Yelp
They take a lot of pride in their wine and food selections, and it shows. Their customer service is also top notch, which, unfortunately, some customers seem to take advantage of. Their prices are super fair. Please refrain from bringing your own food, and especially in Tupperware containers. Rather, buy a dish or two and support these wonderful businesses so they can continue to be there for us all to enjoy. An extra special thanks to everyone there who made our visits wonderful, including but not limited to Jason, Michelle, Ben, Joseph, Mimi, and Christine.

Yelp
We came in two days in a row to do wine tastings and purchases. This wine bar is one of the shops that closes a bit late than other shops at ferry building market place. So if you want to hang out longer this is the place to be. We had wine tastings on both days, hubby also bought some reserved wines to take to dinners. The selections were great and prices were reasonable. They serve caviar and other finger foods, the Mediterranean mezze was tasty with our wines. Service was very friendly and attentive. I really liked the relaxing vibes. If you are a wine lover you should definitely come in to try some wines and hang out for an hour or two!

Yelp
The customer service is above and beyond any wine place I have been too Sat at the bar as well and had an amazing selection Food is great also

Yelp
It's a nice place to relax after some afternoon shopping at the Ferry Building and indulge in a glass of wine. We didn't have time to stay, so we came in quickly just to pick up a bottle to go. They had a good selection of retail wine to choose from. We opted for a Chardonnay, and it was very delicious. Smooth with some subtle hints of sweet fruit, it paired very nicely with our dinner that evening.

Yelp
This is a review for 2 visits during our time in SF. The Ferry Building is beautifully restored and the Wine Merchant is a pleasant surprise. Prices are reasonable (remember, this building can be wall to wall people at times) and the staff excellent. On our first visit we chose a carafe of Roagna Dolcetto and it was excellent. On our second visit we chose a carafe of Las Jara Glou Glou Red Blend along with some Manchego cheese, bread and olives. Terrific. This place is a "must stop" for anyone who likes wine and enjoys people watching.

Yelp
I couldn't think of a better place to hang out, while waiting for the next ferry out of San Francisco. The Ferry Building Wine Merchant, while having an extensive retail floor, has a cozy bar area with the perfect people watching view. The sommelier introduced me to a 5oz pour of an already opened Sonoma Pinot. Just one sip and the days stresses just withered away. I ordered a side of burrata, which was more than enough for 2, so I boxed the other half as a take away. If I have time before my ferry trip home, I will make is a point to pull up a chair here and enjoy a nice glass of wine.

Yelp
I purchased a $60 bottle of champagne from this shop for a special occasion. While I was being rung up, the cashier asked if I wanted the price sticker removed. I said sure. When I got home and took out the bottle I was shocked at the mess left on the bottle from "trying" to remove the price sticker that this shop applies to the bottles. My suggestions to the store: 1. Have an actual way of removing the stickers from the bottles 2. Do not use this type of sticker that cannot be removed on your bottles 3. Do not ask customers if they'd like the sticker removed if you have no real way of doing it successfully 4. If you try to remove the sticker but cannot, let the customer know 5. Have another sticker of some kind on hand to apply to bottles if, despite all of the above, there is still a mess left on the bottle and needs to be covered up I would probably not consider this shop again for similar future purchases. What if I was heading straight to a gathering or immediately giving it as a gift? Totally cheapens the Grand Cru I purchased and completely unacceptable experience.

Yelp
Cute stop in the ferry building. Got a charcuterie plate and a bottle of wine on a warm Saturday afternoon. Definitely was more crowded and was only 1-2 spots left. We were able to sit inside away from the walkway. Service was friendly and attentive. Note: he seats are mainly hightop with not much back support. Ambiance: 4/5 Food and drink: 4/5 Service: 3.5/5 Overall: 4/5

Yelp
I love coming to the Ferry Building before an event at the Chance Center, and always end up at the Wine Merchant for a pregame/preshow bottle of Fondo Antico and a Mediterranean platter. Every time I've been here the staff was super nice and friendly. Pro tip, dont leave without trying the epi baguette.

Yelp
Discovered FPWM back in 2017 on my first birthday trip with my bestie! We sat at the bar and the friendly bartender cracked open a bottle of champagne for us. Imagine our sadness when the bar wasn't open... He: Not to worry, you can visit us outside on our patio bar...look for the umbrellas! What a great place to people watch! We ordered a bottle of champagne and a mezze board...er...paper boats...yeah let's say that...and it was all delicious! What a great way to spend a leisurely afternoon!

Yelp
LOVE this place. Been here for many girl dates for some high quality weekday wine or Saturday champagne. The small and large places are actually a great deal: the large plates come with two entire blocks of cheese that you'll likely not finish. Don't feel bad if you wanna hide left overs in your purse. The baguette is wonderful as well and well paired w the fig preserve. Ambiance of great too -- so if you're new to the area, visiting or a regular ferry building stroller- take a seat that the square bar, people watch a little and sample some great wine(s). The serves are always friendly and happy to engage in some good conversations.

Yelp
Ordered a hard to find liquor from their website. Shipping was fast. Prices were fair. I did. It get a conformation on the tracking only because they typed my email wrong. That's was about it. They are still. It bad at all.

Yelp
Baguette and goat cheese at the Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant! Recommended by the bartender. It was delicious!!! Highly recommended.
google avatar

Sean M.

Yelp
They do not stand behind the wines they recommend. Husband brought home a couple of bottles recommended to him $70 from staff member there and they were awful! We had our roommate also try them and we all agreed both were undrinkable. One had that slightly brown color that can happen when a bottle turns. Not a big deal sometimes bottles go bad. We are all big wine drinkers and understand sometimes these things happen. What I never expected or experienced before was a wine shop that would not refund our money. Both bottles were returned full but according to them the wine is fine and so sorry no refund. What a bunch of crooks! We've lived in San Francisco for decades and have bought from this wine store many times but NEVER again. Stick with local neighborhood wine merchants who actually stand behind their wines and recommendations.

Yelp
What a guilty pleasure to wander in here. They got good flight options and a nice bar area to hang after work.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
They have a great selection of wines that are both local to California and international! The staff is also super friendly and have great suggestions as well though we prefer to usually just browse their shelves which are based on countries. They also put out their member club wine selection separately as well and it's all very reasonably priced $15-30 range

Yelp
I was surprised to see this hidden gem in this part of the city. Wines from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and other west European countries along with famous California wines. Definitely try this place out, if you are in Ferry Building.

Cassandra F.

Yelp
Super cute. The look is like half wine, beer, and alcohol storage and half wine and beer tasting room. There's a fantastic selection of wines, and I would assume beers too but I went there for the wine (and don't like most beers) so I didn't pay attention to the beers. I didn't love the look of the charcuterie board (everything was on one regular white paper plate) but it may be due to post-pandemic changes. I would return to see if the food options are better now, especially considering the price. Service was decent. I visited when it was fairly busy and didn't get much attention but I reckon that's understandable given how busy this spot was. The spot is great for a date or even a group of friends, definitely a nice lazy afternoon event.

Dana H.

Yelp
I did not have a great experience. I went in for a nice glass of wine. My first impression was not pleasant the customer service was horrible I sat for almost 45 minutes. People who came in 20 mins after were taken care of before I was. I will never be going back
google avatar

Audrey F.

Yelp
Giving this place two stars for several reasons. Although the food and the wine is spectacular, the service is not. From beginning to end, my group and I felt extremely rushed the from the staff to leave considering it was not busy at all. We also noticed that the people around us were not being rushed like we were. The exact second we finished our charcuterie and wine, the waitress brought the card reader over and gave subtle hints for us to leave. Which we did, as maybe she was just having a bad day. Will come back eventually hoping that I have a different experience.

Corben B.

Yelp
Cool spot & very casual! Located in the new Ferry Plaza Market and sells very selective and impressive wine selection especially for all the local wineries in the northern CA region. Same goes for their selection of the craft beers. If your a wine or beer enthusiast I would recommend stopping by, it would fit your vibe well.
google avatar

Luis S.

Yelp
**** Review 96 **** Delicious local wine, and some beers. If you're looking for a nice place for a quick stop and "Hydration" this is a place to try. For the locals, they offer a wine club, for the tourist they sell wine travel bags. Make sure this is one of your stops during your visit to the Ferry Building Market.
google avatar

Yelp
I sat down at the bar seating and waited 20+ minutes with plenty of empty seats. The bar man waited on three separate men (who came after me) while I waited and attempted to make eye contact with him. The bartender even had the time to make a full charcuterie board in front of me for someone who sat down after me without ever acknowledging me. The place has such poor service I disappointedly walked out after waiting without ever being recognized by the staff. There are PLENTY of other places near by to choose from to spend your money.
google avatar

Yelp
The wine is okay here. It kinda grows on ya. We got the Carro tinto (Spain) & the Quinta do pinto 'Estate collection " with a Burrata and meat board. What bothered me most is the service. A nice woman came to the bar to order and was ignored by 3 employees who were standing in the bar pit. Then when they finally decided to acknowledge her, she was super annoyed and rightfully so. My wife and I decided to joke around with her to lighten her mood and let her know we saw what was going on. She turned her mood around and felt better about the continued lack of service. It got to the point where I spoke up for her trying to get the server to ring her up. It didn't help he said "I know" and kept drying a wine glass. The lady had her Amex on the counter. She took her card back annoyed all over again and put down a 20 just so she could leave. She shared how annoying her experience was chugged her wine and left. Then about ten minutes later a guy walked in and he was greeted and asked what he wanted without pause from the staff. This is bullshit. He didn't even get to look at the menu before being waited on. After seeing this I started paying more attention and noticed the pattern of men getting better service/acknowledgment from the staff which is predominantly male. Now let's be clear I'm the last one to throw these thoughts around but here I'm calling a spade a spade. Do better guys super unacceptable. Aside from the the ambiance is nice and we were excited to go elsewhere.

Yelp
Great selection of wine that comes from around the world. Especially since Covid-19 has put everyone into their cozy homes, good wine is a "necessity". The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. The layout of the store is also social-distancing approved. Great place for some good wine. Another plus is that they are open everyday!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute wine and cheese bar in the ferry building. Very reasonable prices for bottles or glasses and a decent selection of different t cheese plates. Great place to sit and people watch. Surrounded by other little shops and restaurants. Great little stop while exploring the Embarcadero. We wakes from our hotel St Francis Westin Union Square.

Yelp
I might have had a little too much fun drinking wine, chowing on olives and writing emails at the bar of The Wine Merchant in the Ferry Building this past Sunday. Full discretion: I've been thinking about those olives since. This was my second visit to this wine market and bar located in the middle section of the ferry building. I have to say, I was super impressed by the Sunday afternoon energy you'll find throughout the entire market. It appears that everyone in San Fran loves to drink and eat ice cream on Sunday afternoons. I can get on board with that. I was nervous about lugging my laptop on the bar and wanted to make certain I was "earning my time and spot." I ordered a full glass of a Californian wine (5 oz. pour/loved it/forgetting the name but remembering the price of $13.75), followed by the green olives ($7- generous serving and so damn good) and a white wine sample. I know, my wine prowess is sounding super elementary right now so do me a favor and focus on the fact that I loved the energy, what I sampled and the atmosphere. Note that this is part bar and part shop so you can pick up chilled bottles or join their rose club while you're there as well. The bar space is on the cozy (aka small) size but it does the job. I'll certainly return during my next work trip.
google avatar

Sema T.

Yelp
The Wine merchant was your normal casual market wine tasting space, though on the pricier end. Space is limited, and the layout isn't very conducive to moving about or standing, but you can eye it up before heading in just in case. There are two TVs oddly placed, but whet you can catch a game if you need to while your wandering the pier area. They do have a $10-12 wine bottle section. The bartenders weren't particularly friendly or welcoming, but they were very busy at the time we went. We did enjoy a bottle of wine for the three of us once we were able to negotiate our spot and get settled. I'd recommend this if you didn't plan ahead and want to stop for CA wine before leaving the San Fran area.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Might be a generous 5 stars, but we only had 20 minutes for a glass of wine before the ferry. Friendly, quick service for our two glasses of wine. I enjoyed the 2018 Tinel Blondelet Pouilly Fume and my lovely partner the 2015 Balleto Brut Rose. Both were excellent and worth the price considering the tourist trap location.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife is pretty happy with this wine and bar place. I don't drink and my quota of cheese has been maxed for the day. We ordered the oxbow cheese flight for July wine club wine and Pino and she loved it. There was bread and 4 kinds of cheese. I enjoyed the bread. It was same as the one in hog island.
google avatar

Yelp
We love to drop into this place for wine before getting on the ferry. They have a great selection on the menu for a glass, carafe or bottle. You can also get a bottle off the shelf from their extensive world wide selections. Beer is also available and I did notice some spirits are for sale but can not drink them on site. The munchies are delicious also for those that want a little something solid consisting of olives, mushrooms, cheese and/or meat boards with bread. Everyone is quite knowledgeable about wine and offer samples too try before you choose. It gets pretty busy but we always can find a seat and have never waited more than a few minutes. Service is efficient, the wines are awesome and the ambiance is laid back. Perfect!!
google avatar

Sheryl M.

Yelp
They have Hoopes by the glass! A luscious Napa Valley Cab worth splurging for. In addition to Hoopes, they have many other choices but I opted for this as I am a fan! If you don't see something on the by the glass menu, pick a bottle from their great selection and have them open it for a small fee. Cheers~

Yelp
You can't kill time. You just can't. But were you to give it a go, to stab it with your steely knives, here would be maybe one of the best nearby places to have at it. I have different spots to frequent with my different friends. This is my spot for Davey reunions. We sail from our respective cities, him from Dragonstone and me from Braavos for our regular visit except during Lent when we still visit but it is anything but regular for me. The bar mistress let me sniff his beer before he arrived yesterday and we didn't let on so he did not know that some of the fragrance was missing. The Ferry Building has faults that folks that like to find fault with everything would find but so what. Few things are perfect and there's much to be thankful for so why not do that instead. To sit at one of the stools facing out or one of the tables by the main FB walking area and sip and catch up is pretty much one of the most pleasant times one can have irrespective the sum or the setting. It's just chill, is all. A wide variety of reasonably priced vintages, beer that they've chosen because they think we'll like it not because it's what everybody else pushes, cheese and meats and the Acme torpedo baguettes if you're peckish. The staff knows their stuff, are attentive but not in your business, quick with a smile or advice or an answer to a question. Yesterday the flaxen-haired maiden was almost elvish in her green and we smiled a secret smile as I stuck my nose in Davey's beer. If you've not gone please make a point. Go. This is a simple thing in life. Give it a try. Cheers.

Yelp
I just love it here, my favorite way to get to the ferry building is by taking the ferry, we usually come from Larkspar and on a beautiful day it just doesn't get better than that! And the first place we go is to the wine merchant, you can order any number of wines and champagnes (we always get a Bottle!) and you can just sit there and people watch from the tables, they always have something delicious to snack on and my bestie and I we always order some French champagne and the last couple of times we've been there we got the same guy Jason a real sweetie pie and we love having a good chat with him about champagne travel and all the wonderful things to do and eat nearby, we love us some Jason he even remembered us from our last visit aww The ferry building has so many wonderful places to eat drink and shop yay all my absolute favorite things to do! Cheers SYOY

Yelp
My mom and I took Bart in to do a Ferry building crawl because why not, and found out that Acme Bread sells their starter, but we had to keep it cold. We went to Wine Merchant in hopes that we could find a wine bag that was insulated, and Mimi kindly suggested one of the small refrigerated bags used for caviar purchases. She put some ice in there for us, and sold us the bag for a few dollars. We bought something as well, since she went out of her way, but I worked retail for 10 years, and I rarely see the quality of customer service I provided. I'm very impressed, and will recommend this establishment to my friends out of town.

Yelp
I had been here for drinks before, but not food so I owed it a review. Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant is located in, you guessed it, the Ferry Plaza building in SF. In addition to wines, WM also offers local beers, meat from Boccalone, cheese from Cowgirl, and bread from Acme: What a great way to enjoy all four vendors at one location! We ordered the Boccalone salumi and Cowgirl cheese ($29.95). The charcuterie also came w/ Acme bread, olives, and peach chutney. First of all, the salumi was outstanding! The flavor of Chris Constantino's craft salumi shined: 5 Stars. In addition, the creaminess of the cheese contrasted nicely against the salumi: 5 Stars. Acme didn't disappoint either, and the bread was crusty on the outside, and chewy on the inside: 5 Stars. Lastly, the olives and chutney were also very good. The only downside was the plate needed more mustard, and I asked for no chutney, and replace w/ nuts: 4 Stars. To drink, she had a grenache from France ($10), while I had a schiava from Italy ($8.25). The grenache is a little heavier and it was exactly what she was looking for. The schiava is a lighter wine from a thin skinned, larger grape. It was perfect for me on a hot day: Both 4 Stars. The ambiance is very nice. In addition to the retail store, there are a few seats at both sides of the bar, some high seats facing outward, and a few high seats along the main part of the Ferry building. The only downside was there wasn't a smaller charcuterie plate: It was a lot of food for two people: 4 Stars. Regarding the service, there was room for improvement. The bartender was friendly, but he took a while to acknowledge us. In addition, our food came out after another couple that arrived well after us. Lastly, the bartender didn't give her a place setting: 3 Stars for the bartender, 2 Stars for the kitchen. I would have rated this place a 4, other than the fact that I met a Korean girl here. We had met the night before (Valentine's Day), and promised each other that if we showed up here the next day, we would exchange numbers. Well we both showed, and I couldn't have had a better time. So some times, the rating is not all about the food, ambiance or service. Whom you have a meal and glass of wine with is just as important - LMAO!!!

Yelp
Hard not to love the Ferry Building generally, but this wine shop/wine bar adds a lot to the small business community housed there. Staff is friendly and helpful and they have a good selection of wine from around the world for purchase. I've also been in a few times for to sit down at their wine bar to sample their wines and nibble on their various snacks. Their menu has a number of food items from other Ferry Building shops (Cowgirl Creamery, Acme Bread, etc), which is really cool. My only complaint is that the space feels a little boxed in since there is no natural light (windows, etc). Still after a glass of wine and some delicious cheese you don't really notice.

Yelp
I've always loved this little wine bar, and I'm not sure why I've never reviewed it. I love the flights: what better way to try several wines, in a setting where you can ask questions and learn a little. And, if you find something you like, you can wander over and try it for yourself. I came in the other day after my whale watching adventure. I found a great little spot, posted up, asked a few questions, and ended up with a wonderful Gruner Vetliner. I loved my wine, and I was able to purchase a bottle to take to a dinner party I was attending. I also often meet people at this bar. People came to the Ferry Building to be connected to others, so you often end up striking up a conversation with folks while you're here. Last year a very nice man invited me to go to Sausilto with him. He assured me it was just a friendly invite, but as a married woman I had to decline, just in case. But if you're looking to meet people, this seems like a good place to do this.

Yelp
Excellent Barbera from Piemonte, Italy - I would definitely order it again. It was smooth and paired very nicely with the goat cheese that we ordered and the French charcuterie plate. The fig and ginger chutney was also an amazing addition to the light meal after work. I will most definitely come back!

Yelp
Situated inside the Ferry Building, this is a nice wine bar in a fun location if you enjoy people watching. I rarely come to the Ferry Building, so it was a treat to enjoy a glass of wine with Acme bread and Cowgirl Creamery cheese (Mt. Tam). The seating here is first come first serve. We came on a Saturday during Farmers Market so we were lucky to find a table for three. I had tried the Sauternes during a previous visit, but was unable to find it on their menu. The waiter told me the menu changes from time to time, but he was able to recommend something similar (2009 Domaine de l'Ancienne Cure Monbazillac), which was just as good. Overall, it was a great way to spend an early afternoon enjoying great wine and food with friends, and people-watching.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!!! If I could give it more stars I would. Chris Ciolino was absolutely amazing. He was so knowledgeable. He was so kind. He was super quick. And he had so many amazing suggestions and recommendations. He even recommended the wine club membership which I think will be a great holiday gift for my family!

Yelp
Even though my husband had pointed on the menu to the 2-ounce glass, we were charged for two supposedly five-ounce glasses of wine. However, we felt that what had been served to us was NOT five ounces of wine. It had not been measured out in front of us or probably even at all. Needless to say, we do not want to go back to this place because of this. We had been here before with different servers and had no problem, but after today's experience, we will not return.
