The young lady who helped us today made this place feel so at home. The food was good and the service was beyond excellent! We were in the area and just found the place with a Google search but will definitely be back and send others your way! Enjoyed the outdoor seating area.

Wonderful place that deserves more hype!! Menu prices were very good and affordable and they have great food specials. Place feels very homey and everyone that works there is so kind. Overall, a great 10/10 experience! Free parking

The welcoming atmosphere of the staff very inviting and wholesome great tasting breakfast the omelette with the feta and spinach with the home fries and side of rye is worth a 30 mile drive just to experience that old school cooking and taste that you can’t find everywhere the OG in the kitchen I bet he has been slinging hash browns way before google was a thing over all of your looking for the clean eating at an amazing price come hungry it’s good eating

Update - Mothers Day 5/14/24 Very attentive and welcoming staff! I’ve been paying with Apple Pay - there is no pesky tip request popping up before any service is rendered. I discovered an option on the signing slip so my tip today was more generous! Update, Earth Day 2023. Thanks to the staff who made a fresh pot of coffee even on a busy Saturday morning. Late morning coffee - ideal location midway between the village hall and Readers Hardware. Friendly and very accommodating to people with disabilities/ brought me my order to the table! Thank you!!

I love the food here. The staff are great, too. Very friendly and always serving with a smile. I mostly eat breakfast here, although I have tried the burgers. Quite tasty. There is meter parking on the street and a municipal lot less than a block away.

Great food, great staff, cozy atmosphere, cute decor. Loved the penne a la vodka, pancakes were fluffy, and bacon was really crispy 😋

So this is a place I literally found because it's near a laundromat that I use for the purpose of washing my big blankets. To be clear I visited this place once a week for 5 weeks straight. Their are 2 cooks. One cook the older Spanish man with a head full of gray hair is extremely rude. One of those 5 times I came there to eat in i had a breakfast special and decided to add a muffin to my order. Well after eating and requesting the rest of my order to go I requested the muffin to be packed as well. The young lady behind the counter forgot to pack the muffin with my leftover platter. I did not realiz this until way later on as I was scheduled to go to work shortly after. I never called the establishment to quote on quote tell them about the muffin, because it's just a muffin I truly did not think I needed to call and report a missing muffin.... Well let's keep in mind that this missing muffin is not something that happened the last time I eat at Ferryman it happened one of the previous times before. So today I happen to be going to the laundromat next door and I decided to go to the ferryman cafe to order the same exact thing that I have always ordered. 2 eggs over easy with bacon homefires and tost. I told the woman behind the counter about my missing muffin because it was not the younger woman behind the counter today it was the older one so I just mentioned it so that she can mabe coach the younger server. I never said I wanted the muffin to be replaced. But before I could finish my sentence the older spanish cook with the gray hair literally started arguing with me he tried to call me a liar saying and I quote "I don't no why you saying that because i packed your muffin the last time you came hear. What is so interesting to me is that The last time I was there i NEVER ordered a muffin because they didn't have the one I wanted. the cook kept on saying things as if I was making this up. First off I am a respiratory therapist who owns 2 homes in dobbs ferry and I am hospital employee who makes almost $139,000 a year. The absolute nerve of this man. When I pointed out that I only told the lady behind the counter about the muffin so that she can coach the younger server and I was not looking for a replacement muffin nor the 3 or 4 dollars back he then stop accusing me of trying to finesse them out of a muffin. This man also is very disgusting I witnessesed him sneeze in the kitchen without trying to cover his mouth after he got himself a free cup of coffee. I truly will not be spending my money in that establishment ever again and believe me I will be spreading the word around my 2 jobs and around dobbs ferry. This was by far a horrible experience. I felt as if he discriminated against me because I am not all dressed up in a professional outfit. Any women reading this understands that understands that we do not need to put on make up nor a lab coat to go to the laundromat. It's straight sweats and a shirt and a jacket. But hey this is the worls we live in today where a spanish or Mexican man can go around acting like he has the wherewithal to discriminate.

Got order to go all I can say it's a local Cafe that is just ok nothing special, food was ok again nothing special about it.

Basically the only breakfast spot in town open around 9am on a Saturday and boy did I appreciate that. I arrived in Dobbs Ferry for a 10am reserved bike ride. I had to waste time for an hour and was starving. Thankfully the Ferryman Cafe was open! What I really liked about this place is not only did they serve breakfast dishes/sandwiches BUT they also served Mexican breakfast. The Huevos Rancheros was super filling. It has hearty portions of eggs, beans, and potato with soft taco bread. Not only that but the staff here offers free salsa and hot sauce with your meal. The restaurant is also nice. They have seating inside and outside if your in the mode for either. There are plenty of tables but it doesn't seem like a crowded place. Overall really enjoyed coming here and having a great meal.

I missed my Ferryman food! Food is always fresh and great authentic flavors. Staff is friendly and very accommodating.

If I can give zero I would . The food is not good no taste flavor. I ordered a sandwich with mozzarella cheese they give me the wrong cheese. I asked for another to be delivered after I picked up my order and they say no because I already have the sandwich. Also they refuse to Give back the Credit. Buyer beware don't waste your time or money

Since my visit to NY and Jersey, I've found no one who can make an Iced Caramel Macchiato like The Ferryman Cafè!! It's a cup of LOVE and worth every sip!!! THANK YOU!!!!

I like this place. I don't know why, nothing crazy going on, let see if I can land on specifics. Lady who runs the counter is A1, so that's a good start. The people who are always in there, also cool, yesterday I was really close to sitting down to have a beer with some guys I never met. Food is fairly priced, I don't think I've ever said that before so that's big. And overall the flow of the cafe is nice, you come in, it's chill, drinks are on the far side. Good vibes all around.

Food is solid and good. Definitely get the pancakes. BUT there are no free coffee refills which surprised us. Also just a warning, they have these specials that "come with small coffees", but they are not free with the specials during the weekends. Communication was not good, these things took us by surprise. Vibe was good though, turning down the TV would be better. Staff was friendly.

Visited the ferryman recently with my husband of 5 years and two young kids (Berit 6, Bryson 4). Was blown away by the fantastic service and delectable food. I was greeted and helped by a late teens, early twenties cashier who had short blond hair and helped make the right food choice for my son, who is vegan. We ordered 3 chocolate ice creams, and were pleased to find it was the best in town! Our cashier had it ready in a jiffy! Would highly recommend, 10/10 experience

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews but they seem to be old so maybe things were different once. I'm always pretty happy with my food here. It's not like, the tastiest food I've ever eaten, but it's my favorite spot for a local -relatively affordable lunch. Sandwiches are always good. Never had issues with ordering whether over the phone or in person. They pretty much have anything you could want for a quick bite to eat from soup to breakfast sandwiches to a variety of wraps and bigger sandwiches. I will also say their Tacos are so worth it! So make sure to try those. I think it's the best item on the menu

Very rude when answering the phone. Very extremely sarcastic. I've decided to work with them even after I got tuna fish sandwich full with hair. Order at your own risk. Send me a dirty menu.

No masks on. Not the person servicing the food, nor the chef in the back. It's gross. Give your employees masks and make them wear them.

I love coming to eat at the cafe great food. Love the gyros and the buffalo tenders. The specials are great I always get something different and never disappointed

It's WAAAYYY better than Dobbs Diner. Hands down!Note even sure how DD is still in biz. Food is decent, with some things better others. If you keep it simple here, you surly will not be disappointed.

Great prices. Solid food. This is my go-to breakfast restaurant in the area. They make great pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. Their cappuccinos are fantastic!

I use to order from here almost EVERYDAY. Even after their prices went up I ordered consistently and even convinced my co workers to order with me as well. Despite the many times I continued to confirm I wanted onions in my eggs, they continued to get the order wrong and would have to send me a new order. Today was no different, the order was wrong AGAIN!! I called to have them send the correct order and once the delivery man came they tried to charge me for the correct order. How do you charge for an order that YOU made wrong????? I will NEVER order from them again. Order at your own risk!!!

Don't bother. Ordered at 10:30am and it is 12noon. Food never came. Manager is the one delivering and didn't even call to apologize. I cancelled order and asked that they try again Tomorrow at breakfast time and for a refund. Manager said "aaah" most unprofessional manager. If it is not honored i might have to file a real complaint.

I got the penne alla vodka and it was delicious! It comes with fresh bread as well. Just a heads up that the vodka sauce contains bacon! Delivery was quick and the food was piping hot. I will definitely be ordering from Ferryman Cafe in the future.

If you love sitting outside with your pup on a sunny day, it's worth stopping by! This place has reasonably priced brunch/lunch that is fresh and tasty. You can also run in and take food to go. When we don't feel like cooking but don't feel like spending a lot of money, this is our default spot.

This place first off is so clean! Was very pleased. The girls working there are friendly and sweet and the food was homemade. Best bacon egg and cheeses in Dobbs! Very cool food spot

Food got me sick everything was old I'm a chef myself. It's very strange how this restaurant has great ratings, when I actually ordered food from there the first time and it was the most disgusting food I've ever experienced in my entire life and I am 37.. definitely do not ever order a hamburger from there or their tacos the food was spoiled the hamburger was a hockey puck and I asked for medium rare can you believe that? Everything was disgusting and then when he said that he was going to refund my money and I'm definitely not a cheap man,, otherwise I do not need a refund whatsoever so when I said what are you going to do about the food that was gross he said nothing I cannot give you a refund we do not do that here.. as a business owner myself I know that is completely untrue he lied to me so I showed up there in person and then he refunded only half my money.. but at first he said that he was going to do it over the phone which as a business owner I know that is possible so a week went by still no refund so I actually had to show up there in person disgusting.... by the way I paid for everything on credit card but they want I showed up there in person he gave me only half in cash with all that soaking in do not ever eat at this place I promise you it will make you sick and then business owner is disgusting....

Cream of broccoli was overloaded with pepper. It was painful to eat. The prices are good. The smoothie was made well. I'll rate again when I order in the future.

We ordered $80 worth of food for delivery from this place. Soups, Burger, Tacos, Gyro, Grilled cheese, fries, chicken wings, salad, etc. Everything was horrendous. The burger was over cooked, the fries were soggy, the taco meat was old (I couldn't eat it and had to throw it out for fear of food poisoning), the cilantro was brown and the grilled cheese was not even melted. They even forgot to include the sauces for the tacos and wings! When we tried to contact the manager, he was rude and refused to offer any refund. I have only had a few experiences like this with restaurants in my life and every time, the business owner has been respectful, apologetic, and accommodating. This man, however, was rude, defensive and unapologetic. He tried to say his business does not refund and would only offer a 50% credit! After a bit of persistence, he finally offered a 50% refund. After a week of waiting for the refund to appear on my card and calling to ask (to which he never "was there" and didn't return my messages), I finally resorted to showing up in person. He was still unbelievably rude, but because he didn't want a "scene" in front of customers, gave me the cash with the excuse that he was "waiting for me to come in". DON'T EAT HERE.

Solid sandwich bar and diner type food. Good for breakfast sandwiches. Midday I left to get souvlaki, gyro, or falafel. Lots of people like the hot food bar, not so appealing to me. You can definitely be full for under $10

Nice lunch spot, great selection and friendly service. Got the chicken gyro---tasty, grilled pita which is essential. Good coleslaw. Only gripe--no feta sad face

Most of the food is great here. I like getting the Chicken Caesar wraps, as well as the falafel. I got a burger here the other day, honestly the worst burger deluxe I ever tasted in my 23 years of living. Definitely frozen patty and the deluxe ( tomatoes, lettuce, onion) was all on the side. After constructing the burger I had one bite, wouldn't feed this to my dog. never getting a burger here again.
