The Best Things We Ate This Month - Atlanta - The Infatuation
"“The last time I had a pita this good was, ummm… hell, I don’t recall. The Fertile Crescent at this West End pizzeria is unbelievable. It has grilled chicken, crunchy pickled carrots, leafy greens, raisins, mango, and a zesty sauce all stuffed into a woodfire oven-toasted pocket. The sandwich has so much flavor I’m already planning another on next week’s lunch schedule.” – DeMarco Williams, staff writer" - nina reeder, juli horsford, demarco williams, jacinta howard
I've been to the store no less than 10 times since I've moved to New York. I've had mostly good experiences but this one was off the charts inappropriate. I came in to get some amla and chebe hair oil and the shopkeeper stood literally a foot away from me and just stared me down. To the point where I turned and asked him if he needed to get by or something or if there was something he needed where I was. He replied, Yeah that, "no" stepped back about a half a foot and continued to just stare at me. Now they have mirrors in the store where they can observe anybody that's shopping here. I actually took a picture of the man in the white shirt that was staring me down in the mirror that he could have observed me if he was so concerned about theft or anything else while I was there. He chose not to do that. This was a situation in which I received the most bizarre undivided attention but no offer of help. Not that I needed it. This was the last time I will ever step foot in this store and I will never spend money here again!!!!!

I dig this shop and its great Merguez and food but the lady in the front selling Incense and soaps has to be the most obnoxious woman on Atlantic Avenue. She barks at people instead of speaking nicely. I'm a customer not your friend... Never buying from her again. And her prices are twice as much for incense as you can find in other shops around or a little deeper in Brooklyn.

Plenty of incense in dozens of fragrances, rows and rows of fragrant oils, shea butter, black soap, groceries, clothing, accessories, etc. the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I just wish they had a location in the Bronx.

Great quality essential oils and incense but I'm disappointed w the old Arab lady who overcharged .me for the 4 oz. Peppermint Oil.She said $5 but when I got home I realized she charge me $8.what a ripoff ? Be careful when you buy here to make sure you pay for a fair price.

Absolutely rude service from the two ladies who work here — the one at the front made a comment about “Bangladeshis being messy” because my mother would open things she would want to look at and not fold it, and the one on the second flr kept rushing us to look while she was praying even though we were fine looking ourselves, and kept asking us if we were done as if we were bothering her.
1/10 experience, a shame because the prayer mats that we bought were beautiful.
