One of the best meals (and most fun meal) I had while in Berlin. We ordered just about all the starters as well as something for the grill. I had the lamb and enjoyed every bite of it.

This place lives up to the high review rating. We ordered the set menu because we want to try various things. The mixed meat place has beef, lamb, chicken thigh and chicken breast. When the food came out, we felt a bit skeptical because the meat looks so lean (no fat at all) and bland (not marinated). But we were so impressed with the meat texture and flavor, so much that we order an extra serving of lamb. The chicken was so unexpected as well. It was tender and juicy. So yummy.

Everything was amazing, self preparing your own food during dinner is a great idea for celebrating the meal and do it in your own pace, no hurry, just enjoying the process

Amazing food and very friendly ssrvice. No wonder it is the best turkish restaurant in Berlin, according to Tripadvisor. It is truly a unique culinary experience.

Omg!!!! The qualify of meat is next level!! I think ordering all messe doesn’t make sense because many of them taste similar, yogurt base. The meat is the main course, it’s sooo juicy and tender and flavorful.

Went the other day for a dinner with my parents as they were visiting Berlin. Super delicious food, makes you feel good but not in an exaggerated way. The staff was super friendly and helpful on their recommendations. Atmosphere was unmatched. Would recommend 100%

Nice looking restaurant but the food is overpriced for what it is. Service ranges from passive-aggressive to plain rude, depending on how the server feels on that particular moment. The place is too popular for its own good. There are better options out there with more polite staff.

My business associates and I went here for dinner on Friday evening. We didn’t have a reservation, but they arranged for a table for 2 hours. I wanted to try this place after seeing the photos online, and we were not disappointed. We did the 500gr of meat (beef/lamb/chicken) and added lamb chops. We also had 6 mezes. The food was tasty and of high quality. The seasoning was to be added after the meat was cooked. It is necessary because the meat is cooked with no seasoning. The bread is fresh and was great with the hummus. I really enjoyed the picked peppers. We split a Turkish Crème Brûlée and tea. The staff was excellent and recommended foods for us to try. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Berlin.

4.5/5. wildly flavorful option in a city of bland food. very friendly service. bbq concept was good, we grilled our own lamb chops and chicken thighs, both very fresh and topped with a lovely seasoning blend. for mezze we tried börek w/ potato and leek, ground beef dumplings, and whipped feta, all washed down with a raki cocktail. highly recommend when in berlin.

Visited Fes on a Sunday with a large group of people (we called in advance). I've never been to Turkish BBQ before so I didn't know what to expect- but we ordered the set menu and were not disappointed. All of the side dishes were stellar and the meat was really good. I'm not a fan of cooking my own chicken so I stayed away from that but really enjoyed the lamb and beef. I tried Raki for the first time and thought it was ok but probably wouldn't order it again. Nice place for a high end date or taking family. They have English Turkish and German menues.

Best food we ate in Berlin! It's a bbq style Turkish restaurant! You have to make reservations! Location: It is located along Hasenheide. The interior is ok but we were seated outdoor which is much better so the smoke of the food does not go to us. Service: Amazing staff! It's only 2 of them but they manage to take care of us while we dine in. Food: we ordered the set menu for 2. It includes 3 mezze, salad, mixed plate of meats, dessert and drinks. 3 Mezze that we choose are HUMUS: for real the best humus ive tasted! It has sesame seeds on top and it just divine! ROKALI HAYDARI: Oh this one is so creamy! It has feta cheese, yogurt, arugula and red peppers! Perfect for the bread. PASTIRMALI MANTAR its my least favorite, reminds me of eggplant lasagna, it was okay. The meats that are included on the set menu are lamb, chicken, marinated chicken and beef. They are all good cause we make sure we grill them good! The salad and rice that comes with the set menu is very tasty as well, we finish everything. Lastly for dessert we chose IRMIK HELVASI: it was the best dessert, im not sure what it is but the sweet sandy texture with the vanilla ice cream was so good! I can eat the whole thing!! Btw there is a side condiment that is really really good, not sure whats on it but sprinkle it to the meat and it will taste magnificent! Price rating: 8/10 its on the pricey side but its worth it because everything was good! We will definitely come back here when we are in Berlin! Good food, nice staffs and amazing ambience!

We ordered 3 Mezze for 15€. Number 5 and 14 still really enjoyable. This time we tried 13 Köfte dumplings. Definetly skip. We also ordered marinated chicken leg for 13€ and it's a tasty soft chicken. Why 3 stars: Our grill was broken. They decided to grill our meat in the kitchen and it came back raw. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Great Turkish bbq spot. We ordered the set menu for 2 which came out to 75? Comes with 3 mezzes (enjoyed hummus, kofta, red dip?), Side of bread, 4 grilled meat (2 chicken, lamb and beef). We got lucky with our spot but you do need a reservation. They give you 3 hrs per meal which is plenty. The food was too much for 2 people! Would definitely recommend this place.

Delicious dinner. We ordered the set menu and were very happy. The messe were delicious and the meats were great as well. Additionally the set menu gave rice, salad and dessert. I thought the baklava was some of the best I've had. Make a RESERVATION

This was one of the restaurants we made reservations for ahead of time! (Highly recommended!!) We booked an early dinner here for 4 and we ordered the set for 4. It's nice that they have set menus so we didn't have to go through the entire menu to choose our items. It came with fixed items and the only thing we had to choose was our mezze (side dishes). The meat itself was actually really good. They provide kosher salt and seasoning on the side so you can season your meat. The chicken already came marinated, but the lamb chops and steak was actually REALLY good with seasoned correctly! The only thing we didn't really enjoy was the Yeni Raki. We heard that this was the 'truth serum' and it was an experience.. it reminded us of black licorice, which is something we are all not fans of. They dilute it with water and then pour ice over it as well. It wasn't our cup of tea. After having been to many bbq places, this one definitely stands out for sure because of its meats and side dishes. This was an experience for sure. We also noticed that not many parties left their table, as in people were really enjoying the experience here! When we left at 8pm, everyone was still seated at their tables since 5:45pm! This must say a lot! Overall, not a bad experience and it's something you should try if you don't know what else to eat in Berlin!

It's very booked up, that's why you have to reserve early. The food and service wars very good! Would recommend.

How fortunate we were that we were able to dine is this adorable and delicious restaurant! I would certainly recommend having a reservation as Fes is very cozy and they have limited seating. We did go on a Friday night, so maybe weekdays are a little more walk-in friendly. The meal is very interactive as there is a small grill in the middle of your table. We had a combination of meats - chicken, lamb, and beef. All were wonderfully seasoned so it was up to us to do our best with the grilling. We loved it! We would let the meat sizzle while we are on our appetizers. Order as many appetizers as you can because they are amazing. We LOVED our server Cem (pronounced Jam) and only wished we lived in the same city as him so we could see him again. He was very helpful and funny and sweet and it definitely made the experience that much more memorable and warm. If you have the opportunity to go this place - DO IT! You'll love it.

We made a booking for an early dinner and I was glad we did as it was totally full outside! Lovely huge terrace with shade from the bright sun. We ordered a large range of mezze, mostly vegetarian, plus meat skewers for the meat eaters. Everyone agreed that while the meat was good, the mezze was the real star. Service was friendly and quick, and there was a nice wine list. The only potential misstep was with a dish made up of braised chili peppers. The waiter asked if we were OK with spicy, and our German friend said it would be fine because nobody does really spicy in Berlin. One person ate one, and had tears streaming down their face, two more tried and were soon in pain. Two people said they couldn't taste anything after, so it was good they tried it towards the end of the meal. We suspected it was a case of somehow getting the wrong kind of peppers, since these seemed more like scotch bonnets than padron, but maybe that was the intention. I would avoid that dish, though. Everything else was totally delicious and I would definitely go again when we're in Berlin.

Out of 8 nights in Berlin, this was by far the best meal I had. My family ordered the mixed platter and 6 mezze, and every one was absolutely delicious! The atomosphere was almost as fun as the experience of getting to grill our own dinner too. The baklava and ice cream was the perfect way to end an amazing meal! I might have to stop back to Berlin just to eat here one more time

If you are down for something special - go and have dinner at FES. Quality of the meat is outstanding, same applies for drinks and the rest of the food. Service is very helpful and friendly and gives you recommendations that fit your needs. Especially recommendable during summer, when you can sit outside.

Very good meat an delicious mezze. Very large selection. The price is ok. Food was fast on place. And friendly guys. We didn't like the Raki. That was not the best. And they don't have Pils. But why I rated only 4 stars is that we were not allowed to order the meal for 3 Persons. Although three of us would like to have it and all others also select a main meal! That's a bit too bad.

We have dropped by several times in the past hoping to get a walk-in table unsuccessfully, so this time we booked a table for Sunday evening. The restaurant was full, as usual. A glance at the customer demographic was very revealing. By simply setting a grill into each table, they seem to have captured the imagination of a certain group. But does it work....? It's an expensive experience compared to other Turkish grill options and I think that a price indicator of €€€ would be more accurate than €€. Our bill for two included 6 mezes and 2 meat dishes washed down with five beers and came to €75. Down to the food. It can't be denied that the Meze are good, perhaps very good. But we agreed that the meat was unexceptional. You cook it yourself on an electric grill set in the table. It therefore lacks any of the flavour normally imparted by a traditional Turkish charcoal grill. All of the meat, which was not of the best quality, was heavily marinated in order to impart flavour and to my mind this concept did not work. In order for a Turkish Grill House to work, you need the skills of a seasoned grillmaster cooking on a good open grill. I really don't think I would return, although Turkish friends have spoken well of it.

As a person who doesn't eat any meat I still have to say that this restaurant is pretty amazing. I didn't try any of the grilled goods but the meat looked really good. Thick slices, nice marbling and as far as my friends stated: Great flavour. The concept is easy: Grill your own meat. It's up to you if you get a slice of beautiful medium rare steak or a dry piece of gum. With great meat comes great responsibilty. There are zero fish dishes on the menu so if you don't eat meat you have to pick something from the starters. But you what? That's fine because that stuff is all amazing as well. All dishes are prepared fresh and you clearly taste that. I had 4 starters in total with bread and rice and it was great. My favourite is their beetroot salad with walnuts but their hummus is dope as well. Definitely a new favourite!

We LOVED Fez, it was seriously so good. My husband isn't typically a fan of mezze, but this place converted him for sure. We chose three dishes - a yogurt/feta spread, smokey eggplant and grilled romaine salad. We also got the steak and the lamb, and I loved how fresh everything was. They actually run out of their meat selections because they only buy as much as they think they can sell each day, due to the fact that they refuse to serve any meat that has been frozen. Our waiter was a total gem and we were able to walk-in without a reservation on a Saturday night (we got very lucky plus were on the early side).

Great spot; everything from the ambience, the food, drinks, staff, and prices were great for a night out in Berlin. This place is a go to spot for meat lovers, and even vegetarians can enjoy delicious small plates to are filling and flavorful. Truly an experience, and great spot to shop in whether you're a tourist or a local.

This place is one of the best places I've been in a while in Berlin. The mezze were spectacular. The meat delicious. Nice atmosphere. Great attentive service with smiles and jokes. MAKE A RESERVATION.

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was PHENOMENAL. We had the special for two and were treated to delicious meats, a 20ml bottle of Raki, and three meze for a very fair price. Cooking the meat on our own was a luxury not enjoyed in most US food establishments. Our waiter was kind and efficient. The meze was insanely good. The Cacic was incredible with the delicious bread that comes with the meal. We also had a beet and walnut spread that was to die for. My girlfriend is a flight attendant and will recommend Fes to all her colleagues traveling to Berlin. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

Good atmosphere. Staff was friendly and kind, seemed happy to work there. Our sever was the owner of the restaurant. He looked happy to be able to share his culture, and spoke very good english. Food was excellent, service was fantastic

Amazing food and service!!! Been there 2 times in 6 months and both times I was fully satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food. It is a familial restaurant and the brothers waiters are really nice and funny. The sides dishes were heavenly good and the meat was extremely tasty, I would even dare to say that it is the best meat I had in Berlin! Price is a bit expensive for berlin but it reflects the high quality of the service and food in my opinion! I advise you to do a reservation beforehand as they are always pretty full!

This was by FAR the best meal I've had in Berlin on my week long vacation. CEM, our gracious host was easily one of the friendliest and best waiters I've ever had in my life. The Lamb was absolutely incredible. 10/10

I am from Istanbul and been living in Berlin since 4 years I gave never been to an awesome Turkish restaurant in Berlin before. The mezes are outstanding and the meat is extremely tasty. Not only the food but the service is one of a kind. You are missing a lot if you havent been here!

As a middle-eastern woman, I know good middle-eastern food, and this is about as good as it gets! I can't believe restaurants like this don't exist in other places, especially america! The marinades that they use for their meats are SO GOOD (im guessing they put some pomagrante or tamarind molasses in some of them). We tried lamb, beef, and chicken - all delicious. The sides were also SO GOOD. Who knew a spinach dish could be so delicious. They also do a feta mixed with yogurt, which is to die for. Their hummus is the best I've ever had. The whole concept here is great, ambience is beautiful, and the service couldn't be any better.

Terrible service! For a place that is expensive the level of service is terrifying! We were a company of 6 people sharing the most expensive set menu. The advertised menu consisted of 1.5 kg of meat. In real life we ​​were presented with 1kg of chicken and only 500g of veal and lamb. We had to ask about 4 times to get that beer finally brought to our table. Same for ice. The booking was 9pm and the grilling is on the table by us. By the time we finished our meal (10:50 pm) the stuff rushed to take our plates. We were still nibbling and in the absence of a few. Even the food with them on the grill had still meat on it. We decided not to make a big issue and stuck around enjoying our wine and conversation. At 10. 55 the stuff came to the present with the check. I explained in a nice way that we were not yet ready to pay. Non the less within 60seconds he came back with the card payment machine requesting payment. Prior to making a payment and leaving we had a fast food restaurant and we wish to enjoy our conversation and wine. Hey, it's almost 11 and we've had to go. We were shocked by the luck of manners and restaurant service. The stuff managed to turn into enjoyable and quite expensive night in an uncomfortable argument. This was our best meal in Berlin! The meats and all the mezzes were perfect and delicious. It's super fun to grill your meat. The place is not very big so I recommend making a reservation (we did it the day before). One of the best parts is also the amazing guys that work there - helpful, kind and funny. Must do if you want a fun experience and great spin on Turkish food.

My wife and I was in Berlin on holiday. We love Turkish Kebabs so when she found Fes online we decided to stop by and check out the food. When we arrived, upon entrance into the front door, the waitress was very rude and sat us in the middle of the restaurant. We felt uncomfortable and asked if we could move to another open area( which there were plenty open tables) and she immediately said no and walked off. We sat at the table for about 15 minutes before anyone came over. We actually had to stop a fellow who was walking around servicing other tables. The waiters sat around and was watching us but none walked over to us. We had decided that we were going to leave but just as soon as we were about to get up, another waiter walked by us and We stopped and asked if we could move to a specific table and he said yes. We moved to the table and sat for about 10 more minutes before anyone came over to take our order. When the food came out, we were unaware that we would have to cook our own meat. They brought out a cup of hot rice and cold cut up bread. By the time the meat was cooked the rice of course was cold. The food was mediocre and expensive and the waitress continued to be rude. They never came over to check on us, but we watched them go to the other 3 tables and check on them and service their needs. At the end when we paid the check, I mentioned that I felt we were being treated rudely because we were Black Americans, the waiter mentioned that that isn't so because "they have black person who work in the kitchen." The conversation was not worth going forward so we left the establishment. Needless to say, I will never recommend Fes! Food is bad and they are indeed racist!

Fes could not have been more accommodating from the reservation to the service. The manager called me personally and arranged extra seats for our party, very rare to get that level of service in Berlin! The quality of the meat and the mezze is also fantastic, without being overly pricey. Would highly recommend for any group looking for a night out in Kreuzberg or to catch up over grilled meat and raki.

Great food, excellent service, thoroughly satisfied. Would highly recommend to anyone in the city. Shared the dinner for two and it was more than enough food. Can't wait to go back!

absolutely delightful evening. full of good vibes and great food. the raki is fantastic. the meat platter was divine and all the sides were fantastic. I'd give this place 4 stars in another dimensions. but the tasty Jams coming out of the house stereo bring this one over the line for a full pelt pentagon. well done fez. you grill like no other.
