Fantastic setup - sustainable hedonism is such a great motto - wonderful wines to go with the wonderful menu - it would not be sustainable to come to Helsinki to eat here but worth it. Not sure why I was so lucky to get a table with such short notice. This restaurant should be booked out months in advance. Great service as well! Thank you. Vendace Roe with the blackened artichoke was so amazing and of course the Winter Fish. From beginning to end a wonderful experience

This place serves food that makes you happy. This is one of the best fine dining places in Helsinki but it has a relaxed and warm atmosphere. Customers go and wash their hands before entering the premises. If you are lucky you can get a table near the open kitchen and can watch the chefs working and even have a chat with them. We had some allergies and food restrictions which were handled with care and impressive creativity. Very often allergens a re just taken away from the dish which makes it "almost right". Ultima re-thinks the whole dish and it was sooooo good!!! That fantastic. Also wine pairing was surprising, interesting and matched the food just fantastic. Definitely recommend! They also take care of safety, distancing tables quite well, offering hand desinfectant, requiring hand wash, using masks. Appreciated!

I had the 4 course vegan menu at Ultima. Not only was it incredible that they had a vegan menu, but the food itself was beautiful and delicious. My only feedback would be that it would be nice to have more protein sources (helps to feel full) and less salt in the pasta. Other than that it was perfect! ❤️

A very pleasant and well cooked dinner, with nice drink pairing. Flavor profile was familiarly Finnish, with nice influence from Asia. The service was very kind. The concept is lovely, hopefully it really has an impact on a bigger scale in the coming years. It was nice to change a few words with Henkka and Tommi after the meal, I’ve looked up to them for years. You can clearly see that they care about what they put on your plate.

It was a disapointment We had the four course menu, one fully unmodified and one as pesco-ovo. The good: - The main fish course was very solid, yet not quite mindblowing. - The kitchen staff properly cleaned the kitchen after service, brings joy to see that the kitchen is properly maintained. - The bread - Limoncello drink The okay: - Pretty much all the other dishes The bad: - The pesco-ovo dishes lacked protein, and we were also informed after the appetizer that the pesco-ovo main course would not be fish after all, so the menu turned into a vegetarian one. - The whole set took over 3 hours for 4 courses, and we felt left unnoticed by the staff. - The table next to ours left an hour before us despite having the same 4 course dinner and arriving later to the restaurant, feels odd - We were not offered coffee with the desert while the other tables around us were, making us feel less important customers. - We didn't have good seats as the main doors brought cold air into where we were seated. Neighboring tables complained also about this. - The waitress commented that they still need to work on their special diet menus, shouldn't these be thought well ahead of time as we informed about the dietary restrictions over a month ahead of time. - The portions are quite small so All in all both the food and service could had been better. I'm not sure if we were just unlucky, but our experience was not that great.

Great dishes throughout the dinner and beautiful plating. We had the menu with 8 dishes. The flavors brought back memories from past summers, utilizing ingredients that are maybe not so common nowadays, but very traditional. Very nice wines, I especially enjoyed the dessert wine. The staff was great and the atmosphere was both cosy and modern. Sustainability is one of the main themes. We spent 4,5 hours here and left happy and satisfied. I wish I could get the recipe of their roasted/"burned" rye ice cream, best ice cream I've ever tasted.

Too many flavors in some of the dishes, some were just plain and simply good. Special food requirements were fully accommodating for. Gluten-free options available e.g. pasta and bread. View to the kitchen is nice touch. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Sommelier on service. Large grappa selection. Central location and reservations are recommended.

Really enjoyable dinner on stop over in Helsinki - nicely balanced 4 course tasting menu with wines. The kids had a mini version and ate everything greedily. Best dish was the red wine risotto, with the trout in fennel cream a close second.
