Had a great first experience here on a Friday evening. Went specifically for the fish fry. It was really good! The breading was light and crispy and not greasy at all. The fish used in the all you can eat is tilapia. The serving was very generous, we couldnt even get a seco d order we were so full. They also have a regular fish dinner that is cod we are wanting to try. And the fries were AMAZING!! Service was great even with a busier restaurant. Will definitely be going back!

Absolutely love coming here! The people are always so great, the vibes are incredible as you would expect for a lil pub and the drinks/food are always 10/10!! Simple and excellent, you need to try this place!!

Google
Best Guinness pour I've had in a while. They have a great whiskey selection and the food was delicious! There were live musicians playing traditional Irish tunes and it really set the mood and atmosphere. They have some good daily specials too. I'll definitely be back and would recommend this spot for anyone who wants a great time!

Google
Was looking for a food option that was unique and not just a regular chain restaurant during our visit to the area - Fibber Magees did not disappoint! Drink options were broad and included a whiskey flight (good deal to try out 3!). Personally loved the pear cider! Food was delicious - poutine was a tasty choice! Can get quite loud even when not full and live music can add to that noise level. Overall, would highly recommend popping in!!

Google
Erika was an amazing bartender! One look at the menu was an amazing flashback to UK, or if you're U.S.-bound, think New England meets Canada (poutine). I ended up going with Sunday Poutine and the beef was so good. Monday was also $5 Jacks, so a double please and thank you! Will definitely come back!!

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR A NEW UPDATE!!!!! Ordered a salad that was supposed to come with bacon and avocado.(btw, it was called BLT salad!!) Neither came on the salad, and waitress said She will tell the cook. I was still charged full price and nothing was done! But yet charged us for tiny cup of ranch we ordered!!! smh. Have always had a hard time finding friendly staff there!!! UPDATE MARCH 15, 2025 WE DECIDED TO GIVE FIBBER MAGEES ANOTHER CHANCE SINCE WE LIVE IN CHANDLER. I MUST SAY IT WAS EXCELLENT AND OUR SERVER DENISE C. WAS SUCH A SWEETHEART! EXTREMELY GOOD WAITRESS AND THE FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL! CORNED BEEF AND CABBAGE WAS AMAZING!! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK LOTS MORE NOW!! NEAT NEAT PLACE! THANK YOU SO MUCH! (I didn't even see the BLT salad on the menu, perhaps new menu’s too)! Anyways we throughly enjoyed it and you will too!

Google
Wow, the Reuben sandwich here is spectacular! Thick slabs of pastrami, melty cheese, just the right amount of everything else, with fresh rye bread that stands up to all that but isn't too thick...it tastes even better than it looks! Crispy fries on the side.. SO good! Service was friendly and fast. Loved the St. Patrick's Day countdown clock on the wall, the casual vibe. In previous visits we've had the Shepherd's Pie, the Cubano sandwich, highly highly recommend both. And if the luck of the Irish is with you when you stop in, there'll be a live band playing!

Dixie Ziemba

Google
Visited Fibber Magees last night to see the band Blind Owlz, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The Irish bar had a nice atmosphere, but I found the service to be a bit slow, especially considering how packed the place was. It seemed like they could use more staff on busy nights to keep things running smoothly. Despite this, I enjoyed the music and company.

Yelp
Ya know what?!?! It's not too shabby! I only had their lemon cherry twist minus the grenadine and a side of the brussel sprouts, so I can't really truly rate their food items, but the brussel sprouts were solid! The lemon cherry twist was ok if you're into bubbly drinks, but let's just say I wasn't impressed with it. I was there for their Wednesday night music bingo, and the vibe was very lively. The DJ was highly energetic and did a great job spinning all the songs for bingo! There are 4 rounds of bingo and you get to win a little bit of money for each round if you get BINGO! First round: $5, second round:$10, 3rd round:$15, 4th round:$25 Really cool to see Fibber Magees coming up with this fun music bingo event to not only get customers in the door, but also try to give back to their customers as well! Bravo!

Yelp
Awful corned beef and cabbage. Like nothing I've ever seen before. Oh wait, I went there a few years ago on st patty's and had the same shite. Too bad my memory sucks. It was eye round which has zero fat and sliced paper thin. It was tough and zero tenderness. I think they go the cheap route and buy crappy meat. The following day bc I was still craving good CB, I went to Four Peaks and holy cow was I blown away. I will not be going back to FM.

Yelp
My partner and I love Irish pub food, so we're glad to find a spot near us that has it. Our whole table ordered one of each of the Irish inspired poutine, and they were all so delicious! Fries remained crisp despite being under gravy and sauces. Portions are huge and you're likely to bring home leftovers if you are not a big eater. Vibes are still like a pub even in the middle of the day on a weekday. Lighting inside is on the darker side and patrons can be rowdy and loud if there is a game on. Service was rather average and very to the point. As long as we can get our orders in and our food within a reasonable amount of time, we can't complain.

Yelp
I was invited by friends to Fibber Magees for their Tuesday trivia night. The vibe holds true to their Irish pub. Very casual dinning with a bar area and TVs displaying sport games. They have food specials for each day of the week, which is nice. Our server was friendly and the food came out relatively quickly. I went ahead and ordered their Fibber's chicken and upgraded the fries to their Parmesan garlic. Tasted great! It was a great place for trivia that night.

Yelp
Fibber Magees is a really solid local Chandler hang out. The atmosphere is truly Irish pub vibe-- cozy, warm, welcoming. I especially love the little library look in the back. The service is usually pretty good; no real complaints here! The food is also pretty good! The Caesar Salad is surprisingly awesome-- seems like they make the dressing fresh (tastes like real anchovy in there!) and the chicken is well-seasoned and delicious. The wings were quite good; I prefer the BBQ to their buffalo sauce. They have a killer happy hour 7 days a week and live music some nights which is sweet. Lots of draft beers and also tons of these beer "duos" like Guiness + cider-- that's pretty unique. Overall I quite like this place and think it deserves a better rating than it currently has! I live down the road and frequent here every so often and it's always quite good. It's worth checking out!

Yelp
I came here for taco Tuesday. I got one of each which was beef, shrimp and fish. They were fantastic. The Guinness is poured properly here. I highly recommend this Irish bar. It was packed for trivia night.

Yelp
Over the years, I've visited this location a handful of times both for St Paddy's Day and for a pint/grub. There has never been a bad experience and always love the selection of items for drinks, food, and even dessert! Love the ability to swap out for an Impossible Patty on their burger menus and I longingly await the addition of a vegetarian cottage pie one day as that would be splendid and make this the perfect pub. Hint hint nudge nudge. My most recent visits for both the watch party of the Euro Finals and the Copa America Finals. This location is spacious with lots of televisions and screens to watch. My friend and I enjoyed so much that we plan to start coming for more matches as this is her home pub. I live farther out, but the drive is worth it! When you have service as friendly as they are with a banging menu, it would be rude not to! Check out this amazing pub and maybe I'll see you at the next match watch party!

Yelp
OK, so I decided to go to an Irish pub for my anniversary 32 years, and I was pleasantly surprised with the corn beef and cabbage, the outstanding service, and the amazing bread pudding and washed it down with a nice Irish beer, plus live music so I give it five stars

Yelp
Was so excited for pub fish and chips. Turns out on Friday it's all you can eat. Sounds good, right? Be warned the regular fish and chips on the menu are made with Cod and delicious. All you can eat fish & chips are made with Tilapia...yuck! So disappointing!
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
A local told me this was a must go to Irish Pub. Was skeptical when saw in a strip mall, but it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, including the music, and excellent Irish Whiskey selection and Harp on tap. Fish and Chips were recommended by the bartender and was great! If you like Irish Pubs, this is a must stop.

Yelp
I go to Fibber's to listen to good bands (Shock Bombs, JC & Juke Rockers). Great service, too.
google avatar

Gary B.

Yelp
I have been going to Fibbers's for more than 20 years and it's the real deal great fish and chips terrific burgers, which they will actually cook anyway you want them and several other Irish dishes. My honeymoon was in Ireland so I know what I'm talking about and they have great food and when you walk in there, it's like walking into a large pub in Ireland and they also have a Session group that plays on Saturdays if you would like to hear Irish music
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Our server was amazing especially on St Patrick Day. Food was very tasty. Had live music and the entertainment was fabulous. Fun night.
google avatar

Yelp
Alana finally waited on us after the other waitress kept walking past us, dropping menus without asking for our drink order. Alana apologized for letting us sit there while the other one dropped off water. I said we didn't need the waters, and she sarcastically replies, "so sorry for bringing you waters." I told Alana I didn't want her waiting on us. Even Alana, though, was slow in bringing me another drink. We live in the neighborhood and have frequented Fibbers for many years, but have never been so disappointed in the service. The sandwiches were phenomenal, as usual!

Yelp
Attended "Third Period" Whisky School on Wednesday! Had a really fun time learning MORE about a spirit I enjoy! In coming here, it gives me the chance to see Nikki, Hannah, Stefan, Grant and all! Fantastic staff, and music! Thanks for all you do! P.S. One star for the Wi-Fi. It's not very good.

Yelp
The place is fine enough and I enjoy the atmosphere. However, today I had a very rude waitress which really soured my taste for this spot. I sat down and asked for a Joy Bus Wow beer -- kind of a local favorite in the valley, made by Four Peaks. They didn't have it. No big deal! I asked if maybe they had a Mexican lager and in a very rude and sarcastic tone, the waitress said "this is an Irish Pub." Lol. Which wasn't even the biggest deal, it's just shocking when a server working for tips acts condescending during our very first interaction. Then, later on, I took a hit of my vape -- okay, true I shouldn't have. But rather than politely telling me that vaping isn't allowed, she loudly tried to humiliate me in front of everyone in the bar. I cringed visibly and she continued yelling, emphasizing that it's been the law for a couple of years. And then she just stood there looking at me lol. Bizarre and frankly it felt abusive. Anyway, the best thing this place has going for it is the atmosphere. Food is mid, and that particular server was absolutely terrible. The messed up part is that I don't have the heart to not tip. She would've gotten a higher tip though if she just acted like a respectful person lmao. I'm not asking for groveling or anything like that. Just basic respect -- from someone working for tips lmao. Still baffled, as I never have negative altercations with servers. I was nothing but polite.

Yelp
Loved the music and ambience. I got the fish n chips and it was absolutely delicious and I shared with my gf...I got the bill and noticed I was charged for more tarter and ranch...I mean really?? I was looking for charges for the additional paper towels I needed. In all my years of fine dining and bar hopping, I have never been charged for condiments and that is just a dumb business decision to do this. Also noticed the men's bathroom did not have seat liners and sometimes that is a sign of a business that does not take time to add simple things to accommodate the customer. Although the bathroom was just cleaned by the staff before I used it. Anyhow, I would have given it a 5 star, but that charge was a bit silly!! Otherwise I will come back again but not going out of my way...

Yelp
I have been going to fibber Magees for the past 15 years. I loved them so much I had my 45 birthday there. They have gone through some hard times. I use to get their all you can eat fish fry. It was great, cod, fries and slaw. I went there today, they brought back their all you can eat fish. This was not available for some time. We were very happy! Well this was very disappointing. The fish on the menu was cod the all you can eat is tilapia. This is a bait and switch. I can not eat tilapia, it upsets my stomach. You also do not get slaw and it's served in a plastic basket. I looked for Matt the owner to chat with, but could not find him. So, now you get a yelp review. Bad form Fibber Magees!

Yelp
Friends and I decided to try out Fibber Magees for a Monday Trivia Night. As expected it had an Irish Pub vibe. We started with cocktails. (yum) The trivia was a lot of fun, but boy were some of the questions hard. Luckily we had one person who was a plethora of information. We also decided to have dinner. We tried the fish & chips that was outstanding. A couple had burgers and many had various apps that were all good. Only bad review was one of us had chicken fried steak. Would NOT recommend this as it was over-breaded, and over-cooked. My friend took two bites of it and left it. Which wasn't noticed by the server. :( However we still plan on heading back for another trivia night & apps in the near future!

Yelp
Nice pub and barman. Stopped in at lunchtime and enjoyed an Irish Fry Up. Large plateful with good British bacon, sausage and lots of black pudding. My hubby ordered Fish n Chips, he said it was tasty but the batter was a bit soggy. I will return to try some other of their Irish entrees.
google avatar

Dale H.

Yelp
Worth stopping in for the Deery Nitro Milk Stout and the bread pudding - both were excellent! Pass on the garlic fries - they are nothing more than fries with minced garlic sprinkled over the top. We have a small group that go every other Tuesday night for trivia, and that is pretty fun. I've also had the green chile burger and it is pretty good.

Yelp
I love Irish Pubs. I've been stopping by Fibber Magees for a pint since I moved to Chandler years back. There is always a fun atmosphere here with Irish tunes playing in the background and a great local crowd that comes regularly. Fibber Magees has been around twenty years and serves both traditional Irish and American classics. They have Irish favorites like Shepherd's Pie (with lamb), Corned Beef & Cabbage and Fish & Chips. Or you can grab a burger, sandwich or a salad if Irish cuisine isn't your thing. Just know you can't go into an Irish Pub without grabbing a pint of Guinness, Harps or a Black & Tan (you can get a Bud Light anywhere else). Check out the sign out front or their website for daily specials on drinks and shots. Fibber Magees has events almost every evening. There is anything from live music to open mic to quiz nights. It can get loud and rowdy on some nights just like an authentic Irish Pub. St. Patty's Day is the big party of the year. Fibber Magees fences off the parking lot and throws a big block party with live music and green beer. I personally like coming in the morning to grab a traditional Irish breakfast and Irish coffee to celebrate green day. Fibber Magees has something to offer for both young folks and for us older people. Sláinte

Colette D.

Yelp
I've been here many times with the family and it never disappoints! They have fun trivia nights, live music some nights, and the decor really makes you feel like you're in Ireland. Fun atmosphere! Haven't had a bad dish here. Always love the fish and chips!! The reuben is also really good. Always recommend it for a good Irish pub experience!
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Probably one of the better Irish pubs in the Phoenix area for food and drinks. It's not overly crowded and their food is better than the majority of pub food you will have in Phoenix, regardless of it being Irish themed food or not. The fish n chips is a good sized portion and I would say its about a 7/10 for authenticity to the stuff you would get across the pond in England or Ireland.
google avatar

Carla N.

Yelp
We tried this place tonight. It was okay. The cocktails were over priced for the size. I got the fish and chips. I wish they hadn't put the fish in top of the fries because it made most of the fries soggy. The breading fell off the fish. Hubby had the Rueben sandwich. He said it was okay, but not the best he's had. Two of my pet peeves are having the food delivered & no one coming by again. Then having to wait & wait for a check. Both of these things happened. She delivered the food & never came back until after we have waited & waited. No real reason for us to return.
google avatar

Yelp
This is great. We've been wanting to try it. Not your expected hole in the wall. This feels European. Wood everything. Book shelves. A round section of bar, capped as a whiskey barrel. Cute! Happy hour is from 3-7. $3 off apps and $1 off beer and some wines. The Chardonnay is Stone. My first try. But I really liked it. They have 3 choices of poutine. 1 with beef, 1 with lamb and 1 with pork. My hubs would probably prefer the lamb. But he was sharing with me, so beef it is. This is comfort food on steroids. It is also considered an appetizer. Even thought it was enough food for the both us to call dinner. So it was $3 off. Score. I would have liked more cheese curds per ratio and less salt. But again. I realize that I am not the average taste buds. The French fries were crispy hot and fresh either. Trivia Tuesdays. This should be fun. The Sheppard's pie looked amazing. That's next visit.
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
Oh my how I loved Fibber Magees! No more though. Fibber used to be my go to comfort place. I loved the atmosphere, good drink and music. Today though I changed my mind. Granted, today is the day after St. Patrick's and it must have been a rough go after yesterday's festivities. The whole experience was terrible. When we arrived around 6pm there were only 5 tables taken and a trivia game was to start at 7pm. We ordered drinks and out entrees, we were off to a good start. Drinks arrived promptly! The food did arrive after about 30 minutes. We ordered the chicken fingers and fish and chips.....everything goes into the fryer....shouldn't be a problem. The food arrived barely room temperature and we never saw the waitress again until we hailed her down for the check. I understand that she was busy, I could see her running back and forth taking orders and running food and drink, but that's no reason for our table to be forgotten. She did apologize and I feel like it's not completely her fault, it's the fault of management for not making sure there was enough staff on duty to keep the patrons happy. Honestly, if they would have at the very least comped our drinks I wouldn't be as annoyed as I am now. Bye-Bye Mr. Magees.
google avatar

Sam K.

Yelp
Love this place! Traditional Irish pub that feels authentic and cozy. Great selection of Irish beers and food -- the chicken tenders and potato skins are the best around. Service is exceptional too!

James S.

Yelp
Best Shepherd pie...ever!! Comes out hot. Great flavor.! All dishes are made in house. Even the breads. Yum!
google avatar

Paul P.

Yelp
Went for lunch today. Had their Ruben with garlic fries, like most restaurants today they've declined. Corned beef must have been left over from St. Paddies day, a few chewy chunks of meat with sauerkraut that was tasteless. There was some cheese on there though I didn't taste any. The bread wasn't rye, can't say what it was. Whole thing was assembled with as much care as a gas station offering, wasn't grilled, fell apart when picked up felt wet and floppy. Garlic fries used to be special here, now it's something like supermarket frozen fries with minced garlic spooned over em, dry and lukewarm. Service was prompt and friendly.

Joel C.

Yelp
My wife and I were in the mood for some good German food. Have not been to Fibbar MaGees in years and decided to give it another try. The pork schnitzel and the braised beef stew were great choices once again. Lively place with music and cold drinks. We plan to put this restaurant in our rotation. Hopefully in the future, they will add beef stroganoff to their menu.

Tom M.

Yelp
Good food, good music (Open Beta) and good service. First time visitors. We'll definately be back.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
I had high hopes with this Irish bar. I should have read the reviews beforehand. The bar itself loved the decor. Nothing spectacular about the drinks either. The food, the worst Reuben I've had ever! Corned beef, if that's what you want to call it, it was thick, rubbery, and smelled like roastbeef. Hardly any sauerkraut but after 2 bites in, I threw the towel in. My friend had the Cubano, which was also a thumbs down. Nothing was fresh. The 2 stars are for the awesome server we had, Erica. She was awesome. Her shift ended, and pretty much our service did. Never got to order a 2nd drink. Definitely won't be back.

Mike H.

Yelp
Great place for some Irish themed food and drinks, love music, good service. The staff are attentive and always happy to strike up friendly conversation. Some of the best Irish food around too!

Yelp
Great Irish vibe, loved the live music. Food was better than normal bar food and we will be back

John C.

Yelp
Got there early, maybe to early. Ordered the fish and chips and was very disappointed, mostly breading and my fries were hard and cold. My wife's fish was undercooked and her fries to were not good, almost like reheated. It was not crowded yet so not sure why it happened. Did not complain was just plain disappointed, the only bright spot was the service was fast and efficient and the place had a very good vibe. Most likely will not return.

Martha L.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! It's a charming, authentic Irish pub with a cozy vibe. They have an excellent selection of Irish beers and delicious food. The service is outstanding as well.

Linda B.

Yelp
Lived in the area for so long and just now getting to it, but have always wanted to stop by. Luckily, another place was busy (not that this place wasn't) but had some seats for us to sit down. Excellent service and pretty impressed by the food. If you like Irish pubs (which are my favorite) then this is a great one to try. My one recommendation (as with most of the pubs I try out) is pllllleeeeease consider adding a gluten free bun to the lineup. But I can't wait to go back and try something else out.
google avatar

Adam D.

Yelp
Excellent food! You must try it! I had the fried shrimp and the fish & chips; they're just glorious! I've been told to get into their burgers! That's next on my hit list!
google avatar

Charles C.

Yelp
Out of town for training and went here with my coworkers. All three of us loved it. From the interior decor to the lighting. Feels as close as you could get to an Irish Pub in Arizona. The food was also delicious, I had the shepherd's pie. Really nice balance of potatoes to filling. In the filling you could really taste the lamb and the vegetables gave it a nice balance. Our waitress was also great and provided excellent service. Overall it was a great experience and I'd be willing to come back!
google avatar

Ginger C.

Yelp
Omg! This is my new favorite place to eat. The shepherds pie and corned beef and cabbage were BOTH independently the best I've ever had! My mouth was exploding with joy with every bite. Highly recommend! Also, the vibes and service are on point. Such a fun Irish pub. Friendly and helpful staff and people in general!

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Food is always great! Feels like an Irish pub and food really is excellent! Could need a bit of an update inside
google avatar

Gareth R.

Yelp
Excellent food and generous portion. We had been looking for a Full English since our usual location closed. We swerved slightly to a Full Irish Breakfast but we were not disappointed.
google avatar

Harish G.

Yelp
Loved the Spurs theme. Good vegan options too. The CL experience was interrupted by a few Irish band players.
google avatar

Gary H.

Yelp
A fun little Irish pub with decent Irish food. We usually eat fish n chips or corned beef and cabbage. Some live music on the weekends is nice.
google avatar

Jenny B.

Yelp
Great local spot with a good menu and drink selection. I've never seen so many different kinds of poutine on a menu before! The hubs and I shared the Sunday Roast poutine - it's awesome! This is no longer "the" Seahawks bar (now it's Wicked Rain in Gilbert) but still a fun place to watch the game. Look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu! Oh and go hawks!
google avatar

Erin R.

Yelp
Been going to Fibber Magees for many years now, it is a go to spot for great Irish food and music!

Bill W.

Yelp
Not my first review here but I just had to comment on the Fish and Chips. The service and the coffee, and of course the beer, are all stellar here and worth the trip. The food is great but Irish Pubs generally have great food. So what am I going on about that might be new then? Today I had the Fish and chips and it was such a great lunch! Portion size - usually you get a couple of pieces of Cod in so much batter you can't find the Cod. Well this was a succulent piece of Cod nearly a foot long and battered just enough to make it tasty. Texture and taste - It flaked off in delicious pieces of fish that held together for the wonderful Tarter sauce. Honestly it was wonderful without any tarter sauce or Vinegar. Cole Slaw - I am not a big fan of Cole Slaw because most of the time I find it disgusting - but not this one. It was not swimming in mayo and it was not chopped into oblivion. It was tasty and I ate every bite and used a french fry to clean up the remains. French fries (chips) - a huge pile of them salted enough to be wonderful but not so much you could not finish them. They are not crispy but I really liked them. Just an unrelated note - FIFA Soccer is in full sway right now and this is a perfect place to watch the games.
