"This white house styled after a masseria in Puglia is sited within East Coast Park. The sprawling lawn, spectacular ocean views and sound of the waves all exude a soothing vibe. The Pugliese chef is keen to bring authentic cuisine from his homeland to Singapore, of which focaccina and pasta made from scratch are the highlights. Try his San Marzano tomato focaccina with mozzarella and fresh basil, bursting with intense flavours." - Michelin Inspector

Where chefs eat: Somma's Mirko Febbrile - SilverKris

"A casual Italian restaurant at East Coast Park that channels la dolce vita and drew instant acclaim after opening in 2023. It’s known for sumptuous focaccina (Italian flatbread), delicate handmade pasta and classic Puglian street food; popularity has inspired fevered queues so booking is still wise, though a side kiosk lets diners try the food without a reservation. The team also offers Rent‑A‑Picnic bundles complete with baskets and mats, making it ideal for a low‑key date by the coast." - Kissa Castañeda

We visited Fico for a family dinner (with a dog). It was a rainy day but the alfresco was cooling and fully sheltered. For a family of 6, we ordered a seafood platter, grilled octopus, burrata tomato salad, baked tomino, san marzano tomatoes, mafaldine pasta, beef costata for sharing. The seafood platter was fresh though portion a bit small for $98. We enjoyed the grilled octopus — the sauce was mixed with some kind of nuts which added a crunch. The burrata tomato salad was very refreshing and it went well with san marzano tomatoes. We also enjoyed the mafaldine which was seasoned very nicely. For the beef costata, it was just average, nothing special. We ended the night with desserts — tiramisu and lemon tart. Both dessert were nice but we really enjoyed the tiramisu. The service staff, Shabesan, was very nice and helpful. Our dog was making a fuss but Shabesan still attended to us patiently and made good recommendations to our food orders as well. Overall we had a great dining experience :)

We had family dinner to celebrate the new year (belated). 16 of us sat at a long table in the non-aircon section. Time was around 630pm. Fortunately the December weather was kind enough and the cool seabreeze made a difference. The food is very good, a mix of Italian, Spanish items. The octopus, various meats (beef, pork) were outstanding. We had the catch of the day which was a seabass. Had the largest tiramisu bowl...

Celebrated our anniversary at Fico and it was truly a wonderful experience. The food was very tasty, and to our pleasant surprise, everything came out really fast without compromising on quality. But what really left a deep impression on us was the service. Every staff member we met was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Special shoutout to RT, who took care of us throughout the evening. After our meal, she personally came by to ask for feedback. When we told her how impressed we were, she smiled and said, “We don’t focus on service — we focus on hospitality.” My wife and I were very moved by that. You can really feel the heart behind their work. Fico delivered not just a meal, but a memorable experience. Highly recommended.

Celebrated my birthday at Fico with my dad and furry babies. Would like to commend all staff and Mr. Sivan (outlet manager) for ensuring that our food and experience is good. We were impressed with how intimate the ambience was as well as how the staff took the initiative to check on us regularly throughout our 1.5 hours there. We ordered a tomahawk steak a lobster spaghetti along with tiramisu and couple of drinks; everything was great. All in all, I would like to thank Mr Sivan for the excellent job in managing the crowd and yet ensuring that customers were well taken care of.

Location could be out of the way but it’s worth travelling down to get a taste. Food and service was lovely, location and atmosphere was nice but can be a bit jarring as it’s close to the ecp cycling path. We had a couple of interruptions of kids crying and some shouting as it’s a public holiday so there were lots of people outside the restaurant. Best to call in for a reservation so you do not get disappointed on the weekends and public holidays. We were not expecting the restaurant to be so crowded and walked in for a table at 540pm. Most of the tables were already occupied and there were tables that had reservations and could not be reassigned. We were lucky to be seated but were requested to be done by 7pm so do make a reservation to be sure. Fine dining prices so don’t be surprised, we were driving so did not order alcohol but there were drinks we wanted to try. Would totally come back again to try other dishes on the menu.

Went to Fico to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had an excellent dinner there. The mafaldine was beautifully done with great texture, and the ravioli with parma ham & mortadella was packed with flavour. The cardoncelli mushrooms were a delightful surprise—simple yet perfectly cooked. For desserts, the tiramisu was smooth and balanced, while the burrata gelato was unique and refreshing. Service throughout the evening was warm, attentive, and made the meal even more enjoyable. We received a complimentary dessert and polaroid photo for my wife’s birthday. Special shoutout to Shelly, who patiently shared with us her recommendation and explained how it complemented to our main dishes. Because of her recommendation, we truly enjoyed our meal. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely come back again.

Definitely coming back to try other dishes again! My husband brought me here for date night. The moment we reached the restaurant, the ambience and service had lifted our mood. The staff were all friendly and gave good suggestions on what food to order. If you have any dietary restrictions, feel free to let them know and they would give you an alternative on what you might like to order. The night ended off on a sweet note with the dessert cart that was pushed to your table to give you the visuals before you decide which to order. Perfect date night I must say.

Food was below average for the price though the vibes were great. Both indoor and outdoor seating which was nice. Had the cacio e pepe which was decent but not cheesy enough and some parts of the pasta were hard. The charcoal grilled octopus had good texture but the sauce made it taste slightly bitter and sour Tried the San Marzano tomato pizza. The dough was crispy and great but the toppings kept sliding off so it ended up mostly the bread and sauce. Messy eat. The steak cooked medium was inconsistent and some parts were tough though seasoning was okay. The cannoli was hard instead of it being crispy which dampens the experience. The bigne had a nice pistachio flavour but did not stand out considering the whole meal. Service was mixed, some staff were friendly but others not as attentive. Made a reservation and waited to dine here, overall a disappointing experience and not worth the price and travel.

Yelp
One of the hottest places to open in Singapore, getting a reservation here on a weekend is very hard. Had planned a brunch here and had to book three weeks in advance so was looking forward to it. The atmosphere is great , nice views of the sea although with container ships. Outdoor tables have fans and a cooler so it's not too bad even in the Singapore heat. Food is interesting though I don't think all the flavor combinations work. The focaccia pizza was the best thing I ate. The terrin was way too cheesy and the pasta hardly had any flavor of the nduja sausage. Wines were good though. Service and staff were excellent though. For the prices they charge I feel the food could be much better, go for the atmosphere, drinks and service, food was about average and didn't live up to the hype.

Yelp
Fico is not good. 6/10. Silly expensive, un-seasoned food. Mediocre service. Lovely setting.
