Where to Drink Guinness in Central Florida This Holiday Season | Eater

"This award-winning Irish pub has cemented itself as part of the Winter Park community with regular 5K races and a surprisingly competitive darts league. Even if you’re not big on bar athletics, Fiddler’s Green is the top spot in Winter Park for Irish comfort food, where the cool (by Orlando standards) weather invites big helpings of Irish-style potato pancakes and stew. Go in for happy hour and you can snag a Guinness for $5, with live bands starting shortly after Wednesday through Sunday." - Matthew Meltzer

Google
Great experience! This has to be the best Irish pub in all of Central Florida. The food was phenomenal, and the service makes you want to stay until closing. The place was full but not overwhelmingly crowded—everyone was clearly having a good time. I HIGHLY recommend stopping in for a Guinness and some food. I’ll 100% be returning.

Google
The closest I’ve tasted to true Irish food since I was last in Ireland. Both the Shepard’s pie and Irish stew were delicious and authentic. I only wish they had Irish soda bread and mushy peas. The atmosphere was traditional cozy pub, and we can’t wait to come back.

Google
I visit this restaurant every time I am in Orlando!! Hands down the best reuben I have ever had and we really enjoy when they have live music!! If you are I. Orlando I highly recommend checking them out! Last week we had a party of 18 and I sent them an email giving them a heads up that we’d be coming at 6:30 and they had the table ready and waiting for us. Great food and friendly service!

GO NOW!!! I honestly don’t know how there isn’t a line out the door to dine here. From the moment you walk in, it’s cave-dark with cozy little table lights giving off this warm, intimate vibe. Absolutely amazing atmosphere. My wife and I came with our 2-year-old and grabbed a booth near the front. The staff let us know it was trivia night and that things might get a little loud and rowdy—so we appreciated the heads-up and moved to a cute spot near some college students playing darts. Honestly, our toddler was entertained the entire time. Now the food—wow. We started with the fish dip, which was huge and perfect for sharing. I couldn’t decide between all the amazing burgers, but our waitress recommended the “32 Burger,” saying it’s like a best-of-everything combo—and she was 100% right. Cooked perfectly medium rare, juicy, and served on the lightest, fluffiest bun. It needs to be in the conversation for best burger in Orlando. My wife had the fish and chips, and it was classic, crispy, and delicious. This place is what I imagine a real Ireland pub looks, feels, and tastes like. Fiddler’s Green nailed it. We’ll absolutely be back.

Got the shepards pie and irish stew! I was expecting the shepherds pie and irish stew to taste the same but they were very unique and flavorful! The shepherds pie was more meaty and smokey while the itish stew was more peppery. The potato and leek soup was also sooo delish! The inside is so homey and comfortable i loveee the vibe here!

Google
I have to say, I'm glad The Porch had a 1 hour wait due to March madness. Having wanted, for a long time, to try the Irish Pub, I'm so happy we had the chance. I ordered the fish and chips, which were wonderfully crispy. The side ceasar salad was really large for a side dish. My friend's burger wasn't cooked to her liking. She ordered med-rare, but it came well done. I enjoyed my beer in a very cozy atmosphere. We'll be back!

Google
5/5 Stars Fiddler’s Green is a great spot with an even better vibe! I had the chicken tenders and fries, which were crispy, delicious, and paired perfectly with my Old Fashioned. My boyfriend and his friend played darts, and while they were just playing around, I might have gotten a little competitive when my boyfriend refused to share his darts (seriously, who does that?). Thankfully, his friend saved the day by asking the bar for another set. Heads up: there’s a small fee for the darts, but you get your deposit back when you return them. We stayed for trivia, which was so much fun! The place filled up quickly, but it just added to the lively energy. Great food, strong drinks, and plenty of entertainment—Fiddler’s Green is definitely worth a visit!

Google
Best Shepards pie I've had! Great food and cool looking restaurant. I had a server Lisa. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Hanging out here made me feel as if I was at a pub in Ireland. Authentic feel with wood booths, tables and bar. We weren't hungry for a meal although the dishes I saw coming out will definitely have me returning for more. Our server could not have been friendlier.
google avatar

Lawrence U.

Yelp
They have good selection of drinks, not enough Irish drinks. They have the basics. Great crowd, and friendly service.

Yelp
I have been here many times for late night shenanigans but never early enough for dinner. This night, my mom and I stopped in for dinner. We stood near the door way for about 5 minutes before a staff member told us we could seat ourselves. I wish there was a sign that said that. To drink, I ordered a hot whiskey/toddy. The server asked if I wanted it "neat," and I said no, it was a cocktail. Then he brings me out a glass of just hot water. I was very confused. Then he takes the glass back and brings out the hot toddy. At first glance, it looks right. However, there are no espresso beans in a hot toddy. It is supposed to be cloves. I was very confused. At this point, I wasn't going to send it back. I would have rather no cloves than trying to disguise the fact that there were no cloves. The potato leek soup was great, and my mom quite enjoyed the fish sandwich with fries.

Yelp
Amazing espresso martinis and super fun! Ive had the potato wedges and they are great. Would love to come back and try some of their main dishes. Kronenberg is also a great beer coming from a non-beer person.

Yelp
I've driven by here so many times and have never stopped in until yesterday I was actually pretty impressed by the food! The scotch eggs were pretty tasty - the crispy fried crust was great, sausage and egg were good, just wish it came with a sauce or something. The Shepards Pie was really good. The meat was well seasoned and the "champ" (mash) with the cheddar was really good. Burger looked great - didn't get to try it but it was a huge portion!
google avatar

Kerri C.

Yelp
Had a reservation for 10 people at 7 p.m. on a Friday night. Worked out great because we had ideal seating for the live music which started later in the evening. Our server was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The Scotch Egg appetizer was delicious. Excellent flavor! Their fries/wedges are also very tasty. My potato & leek soup was perfectly creamy and satisfying. Past a certain hour, the place turns into a packed college student hangout/club. My party had a lot of fun, but we definitely were ready to clear out once it got more crowded. I look forward to returning in the near future. There's a lot more on the menu that I want to try.
google avatar

Yelp
Fiddler's is a fun spot to catch up with friends. They frequently have live music and it can get pretty loud. The food is decent and the espresso martinis are HUGE. This is close to Rollins so there are usually a lot of college students during weekends.
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
I visited over St. Patrick's Day weekend and while the food was decent, I was a bit disappointed with the service. I understand it was a busy weekend, but the place wasn't that crowded--aside from the bar area, where I wasn't seated. Unfortunately, the slow service detracted from an otherwise enjoyable meal. I hope they can improve on this next time!
google avatar

Mark P.

Yelp
Easy solid four or more. I don't do them anywhere near as often as I used to but I haven't ever had an unenjoyable experience here. Everyone's always been very friendly and helpful and nice. Warm hospitality. And the food's always excellent. Can't miss with the fish and chips. Looking back, not even sure why I gave them a three previously. My scoring metrics must have changed. Anywho, cracking pub, this.
google avatar

Steph T.

Yelp
Last time I came here was probably about ten years ago. All I remember is that it was a wild time and loads of fun! This time was much more low key but great as well. We grabbed seats at the bar and ordered a Strongbow for myself and an Irish beer for my guy. THE LOADED POTATO WEDGES ARE EVERYTHING. Crispy af. Ooey gooey cheddar. And there's so much bacon!! Cannot recommend this place enough for the other Potato lovers out there!

Yelp
5 stars over our waitress kayla. What an amazing young lady bursting with every positive verb you can think of. She showed such an interest in our party of 8 and made an impression on each of us. Food was good and she went out of the way to make sure the vegetarian in the group had safe options. Kayla you will go places in this world. Keep shining girl.
google avatar

Vannessa W.

Yelp
What a lucky find! We happened to be driving by and decided to stop to check out Fiddler's...it was a good decision, that's for sure! The vibe was great -- chill, relaxed, fun -- and the service was great. The food was also quite good although I do wish they had more vegetarian-friendly options but it is what it is. Most importantly, though, they make a great amaretto sour!
google avatar

Sonia C.

Yelp
Very small pub, very noisy but it's a bar and it was trivia night. Good service. Sad there wasent enough seats to sit. But they do have an outside sitting area which we noticed after we left. Next time! Located near Rollins college
google avatar

Irene T.

Yelp
Service is really slow but the food is really good. Typical bar setting. Dart boards, full bar, but you can also order food. Their Irish stew actually has chunks of lamb, and their rolls that come with the stew are fluffy & delicious. My husband ordered the 32 burger or something. The Guinness bbq sauce that came with it was really good, and I typically HATE bbq sauce. The first 3 beers I tried to order were all out. Not sure if they were just really popular, or if they don't have that many rotating on tap/stocked regularly.
google avatar

Shelley H.

Yelp
Fun spot for college students! I had a cup of potato leek soup that was great but my friend's side of mashed potatoes tasty but stone cold. My friend enjoyed Hen In A Pot, a pot pie with really rich yummy gravy. Others in our party had salads and fish and chips which were both just average. We were there on very busy trivia night so the service wasn't the best but the servers were positive and friendly in spite of being super busy. The atmosphere is standard pub, dark wooden tables and chairs with booths filling up fast as the preferred seating option. They also have bar and outdoor seating available.

Yelp
delightful pub. live music, tasty food, friendly service. go early in mucus nights as it will be packed! So much fun!
google avatar

Warda Y.

Yelp
The Shepherd's Pie and Fish & Chips are always on point--comfort food at its best. We try to make it out on Wednesdays for their happy hour, which flows right into trivia night. It's a great time with great drinks and fun competition! The vibe and service here is always lively and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax or hang out with friends. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Yelp
I can't speak on the food as I haven't tried but the atmosphere is amazing and its worth a stop.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious fish and chips for under $20 bucks! Busy, noisy pub with a casual atmosphere. Good place to hangout with friends.

Yelp
Had a great time here. Went around the Holidays and the bar was decorated really nicely which I always think is a great touch that adds a lot of ambiance. The bartender was very accommodating, was able to make us great drinks and was very friendly. They have their own parking lot which is so convenient for this area. Decent prices as well. They have dart boards and an overall awesome atmosphere. Would definitely recommend coming in with some friends for a few drinks!
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
This was our first time here, so we didn't know what to expect. When we walked in, there was no one at the hostess stand so we stood there for a minute or so. Then the bartender yelled out to us that we could sit anywhere. A sign saying "seat yourselves" would have been nice. Then when we sat down, it took a few minutes for someone to help us. And the first thing he said was that their draft beers were unavailable since the storm knocked out their draft system. He said it's been down since Thursday and should be working tomorrow. So this meant no Guinness beer with lunch, and at an Irish pub! This was disappointing. Then we looked over the menu and it seemed like it took the waiter more than a few minutes to come back. The place didn't seem that crowded, but I don't know if he was clearing plates from other tables. I got the Shepard's pie, which was big and tasted very good. My wife got the fish and chips, which was also big and tasted very good. The potato wedges/ chips had a very good flavor also.

Yelp
Fiddlers Green Irish Pub offers impeccable service and an authentic Irish atmosphere. The Lamb Irish Stew is a standout, with tender lamb and flavorful vegetables, creating a true taste of Ireland. Highly recommended for a delightful Irish dining experience. We also had the Irish egg rolls served with a side of thousand Island dressing and my son had the beef tips with Mashed potatoes that were cooked perfectly.
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot for good food and atmosphere. Prices are fair and they sometimes have live music too! You can come for a casual drink or a date night.

Yelp
I've wanted to try this spot for a long time and finally did so recently. My boyfriend wanted some Irish food to cap off his birthday weekend when we returned back to Orlando from St. Pete. We came in for a late lunch. I love the atmosphere here, very cool and eclectic pub vibe. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I had to of course start with a Guinness which was perfectly poured and tasty. I ordered a cup of potato and leek soup and the corned beef sandwich with Swiss which came with potato wedges. My boyfriend ordered shepherd's pie. The potato and leek soup was delicious! I offered my boyfriend a taste and we ended up sharing it because he loved it also! The potato wedges are a huge serving and very well prepared, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. I enjoyed my corned beef sandwich. The meat had a great flavor and paired well with the Swiss; I think maybe toasting the bun or pressing the sandwich even would elevate it to a top tier level. My boyfriend enjoyed his shepherd's pie and I enjoyed the tastes I had as well. Overall, this is an awesome Irish spot with great, comforting meals and I'll definitely return!

Yelp
I was teleported to Ireland and had an authentic experience. The live music was amazing and it had that authentic feel and look. I got some drinks and while they are busy on weekends the staff is very helpful. Great visit. Best on a weeknight maybe unless you like a crowd.

Yelp
Growing up my favorite school lunch was Shepherd's Pie. My Mom never made it at home. I've sampled offerings all over the country during travels. The version here has always been good. I moved to Central Florida in 1992. I worked I'm Maitland and went to school in the evening at Rollins. I spent many an evening at the Irish establishment on this corner, but I haven't been back in at least 15 years of not more. It's still a bustling pub with a loud local neighborhood feel. I enjoyed a pint of Guinness and a Shepherd's Pie. I enjoyed them. Delicious. Friendly service. Quick service. Given to me as a child and hung on my closet door, this African American born in the '6p's had a tapestry with an old Irish blessing. May the road rise to meet you and the wind be always at your back. And may the Lord hold you in the hollow of His hand.

Kate M.

Yelp
Great food, great service, and amazing ambiance! I highly recommend the corned beef and cabbage!

Yelp
Saturday 12/21 6:00 PM. Very bad night to try for dinner. No host. Told to sit anywhere. Sat, and sat, and sat. No eye contact. No menu. Found someone clearing a nearby table. Not her job but offered to find someone. Sat, and sat, and finally gave up. Someone offered menus as we were leaving. Doubt we'll try again anytime soon.

Yelp
Five stars for what it is: a FABULOUS (down scale) Irish Pub!! Fabulous food beverage! Singing, fun, good times, good food! Definitely recommend the bangers and mash! I added a side of carrots bc my husband and I were sharing.
google avatar

Deshika B.

Yelp
Had such a great time at this Irish pub! The food was tasty and the portions were ENORMOUS. My bf and I shared everything. We ordered Irish egg rolls (made with cabbage and corned beef), chips and salsa, steak tips and potatoes, as well as fish and chips. Te chis we're potato wedges the size of your hand, and the fish was twice as big. My seasonal vegetables were so delicious, and the steak tips of fantastic. My Jack and coke was definitely made perfectly, with the exact balance of coke and liquor, & the water glasses never empty. Waitress was super attentive, and the noise level was loud, but you could still have a conversation. They also have live music most nights, and no one under 21 allowed on after 10pm. The decor was very era appropriate, and all the props were real. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I could write an entire essay about this place, but I'll leave it at this...pull into Pennsylvania Ave, then turn into the complex. Put your phone in do not disturb and just come in for a pint. I promise you won't be disappointed in the live band or the Irish pub mentality. It may not be in the middle of the heartland, but nobody in that place will judge you as long as you respect the establishment. Go on in, you'll come back

Roy C.

Yelp
2nd Thanksgiving here and a few stops in between. The entire night was perfect with family. Our sever was awesome and fun and the food was delicious. Thank you for hosting us this holiday.

Yelp
Best chicken fingers in the area. Friendly service and even trivia on Sundays! I've been coming here for years and will continue to do so.
google avatar

Chante' M.

Yelp
I read so many reviews over the years and finally decided to give the place a try. It's authentic but borderline dive bar feel. I sat on the right in an almost empty area. The seats were ripped and the table was wobbling and sticky. We had to ask for another wipe down before we started our order. I had the stew and egg roll appetizers. Both were good and really big portions. My date had the fish and chips and he wasn't impressed- he said it lacked any seasoning. The drinks were good and the live music was nice. I can say I went here but I won't be going back unless they re-vamp & re-model.
google avatar

Clint R.

Yelp
10/10 on everything here! My friends and I do an "Orlando Foodie Tour" where we all take turns selecting a restaurant and we all go and experience everything from specialty drinks, apps, entrees, and desserts. This was my choice as my heritage is Irish and German. What a special place right here in Orlando! I started with a Guinness as one does, followed by corned beef and cabbage egg rolls and potato pancakes during happy hour and they were delicious! Our server was quick to take our drink orders and food orders and really was on top of everything! After about an hour of drinks and appetizers, we ordered our entrees. The Shepard's Pie is delicious as is the fish and chips! I love the decor with the dark wood, memorabilia, and just the overall ambiance. I felt like I was back in a pub in Cork Ireland. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Being from the UK I regularly head to Fiddlers to get a sense of home from time to time! Pretty authentic setting and some good food options on the menu. Both indoor and outdoor seating, with plenty of staff available to ensure you are taken care of. Occasionally you might even catch a bit of live entertainment - check it out!

Yelp
Was in the area and needed to kill some time with friends before heading to dinner. We went on a Friday night and live music was playing. The place was packed. Didn't have any food but the beer options were great! They have a full liquor bar selection as well. I was a little put off by the amount of teens that night... I guess since Rollins is close they don't have anywhere else to go.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Our running errands and stopped in for a drink or two. It was a fun place to sit and the bar and take in the atmosphere.

Jacqueline R.

Yelp
My second time here. First time it was great and raved about it and decided to come here for father's day. It wasn't busy and we got seated right away. Waited 1.5 hours for our food. Chips were stale, coffee cold, beer warm, onion rotted , my burger tasted microwaved and both burgers missing cheese. Service was slow and felt we got completely forgotten about. We were told we ordered the longest cooking thing on the menu which was 2 burgers, chicken tender sandwich and steak tips. People seated after us were getting their food before us. The difference in the quality of good from first to last time was huge. Felt so low quality. It was so bad today that I can't run the risk of returning and it being that bad again. I usually give places another chance and we will not be returning based on this.

Victoria R.

Yelp
Authentic Pub. Great food. Awesome beer selection. Authentic Irish music. We have been going here for MANY years and when it comes to Irish food music and the true feeling of a pub in Ireland, this is it. We fell in love with it on our first date March 17 1997 and have been going ever since. Shepherd's Pie. Fish and Chips, boxty potatoes, salmon anything and everything is great no matter what you choose, including a burger. Just go.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is fun for music and drinks. The music is LIVE and authentic and they even take requests. And the service was lovely. Okay, but I am sorrry I had to knock off a couple of starts because of the FOOD. OH MY GOODNESS, where was the seasoning? No salt? No pepper? No herbs? No flavor. I ordered the fish and chips and there wasn't enough tator sauce nor enough ketchup to make up for the level of blandness bestoyed upon my tastebuds. So I drowned my tastebud sorrows in a glass of a Moscow mule, and that kind of helped me forget about it. Maybe this dish works for people who are hungry and drunk, or who are used to little to no flavor. I will visit again if I have to (for social events and such) but I'll skip the food and save my calories for another place.

Yelp
First time in an Irish pub but I had a good experience . The pub look like youbwould think the inside of a pub would look like. Old artifacts all around at the little booth we was in was surrounded with fun items and things. I ordered Irish egg rolls which is corn beef and cabbage in an egg roll. The were ok but not for me. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was light and crispy really good and the sauce paired with it was so good. I also was able to sample the steak tips and mashed potatoes. The steak tip were cooked medium which for me was perfect the meat had flavor all the way through and was tender not chewy the food was great they even had live music I had a great time will be back for the fish and chips for sure

Topsy W.

Yelp
We come every Sunday for a great time at trivia! We've started to come on Wednesdays for more trivia. This last week, we found that instead of the usual potato wedges, they had FANTASTIC crispy fries! They were world's better than the wedges. When we came today, we were broken-hearted to find out the wedges were back. Please bring back the good fries! :)
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
It was the worst service I ever experienced. Went the day before Saint Patrick's day the place was packed but found a seat. After waiting fifteen minutes was told we had to find our own seat. Then the waitress seemed annoyed at us once we found a table that yes was still dirty but was the only open table. She gave us a nasty look and then took another thirty minutes and still no waitress so we ended up leaving.
google avatar

Yelp
We checked out this cute Irish Pub last night. The service was great and the food delicious. At first I thought the hen in a crock looked small but I couldn't finish it! It was super filling and had a great taste. I didn't post a picture of the spinach and cheese dip. We've never had spinach dip with so much spinach. It was also delicious. The kids loved their meals. My son said the fries were life changing. At 13 years, maybe they are! I'm not guaranteeing they will change your life! It's the next day and he literally just asked to go back. So the kids give it a thumbs up as well. We will go back. Plenty of parking behind and easy to get to. The only negative was it did take a little bit for the food to come out but our server apologized and kept the drinks full. It happens and we had a delicious appetizer, so it was fine and didn't take away from the great food.

Yelp
I've been wanting to find a good Irish place and came to Fiddler's after driving past it a lot. I came on a Tuesday night so it was not as crowded as it would be on the weekend. I found parking easily and was able to get seated right away. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage dinner and asked for more potatoes and less cabbage. It was amazing! Just what I wanted. My friend ordered the fish and chips and loved the meal. We also ordered drinks off the happy hour menu and they were only $3.50-$5ish. The atmosphere felt authentic too and the staff was super nice. I am excited to go back and try more of the menu!

Yelp
Fiddler's gives you authentic Irish vibes the moment you walk in. From the music to the seating options, the decor and the menu.. you can tell (and hope) that your experience will be great! This was our first time and we sat in a small corner table by the TV in front of the bar. It was a cute cozy spot, almost made it feel like Im dining in a nice part of an old home lol. We were taken care of by the bartender, who was very friendly and attentive, and was also able to recommend a great beer to my husband who normally hates beer. I went for a jack and coke to keep it easy. We started with the potato pancakes with cheddar added. The potato pancakes were very good! Presentation wise though it was interesting to see just a melted slice of cheese on top. I went for the shepard's pie with cheddar, which was super delicious and a big portion, and came with a side of soft cooked carrots. My husband went with the hen in a pot, which was a puff pastry-like dough formed into what looks like a biscuit, atop a small pot of what was the most tasty chicken soup (definitely highlight of all of the food we ordered) and a side of creamy mashed potatoes. Overall we had a great experience here and were very excited to return and try different menu items!

Yelp
First time here. Waitress was great. Service was excellent. Time of day was off as was between lunch & dinner. The food was good but not exactly cooked to order and some dishes were not quite hot enough. Will give them a second chance
