We randomly chose Fidel Gastro because we were staying at a nearby hotel and we couldn’t be happier with the choice! The interior is very welcoming and the restaurant staff very attentive. The food was delicious with large portions. Shown are the cheese, nuts and honey appetizer, mixed salad with pumpkin, beet and goat cheese, fettuccine with olive oil and garlic, tataki tuna, and a chocolate and cherry dessert that was divine. The Crni Pinot wine recommended by the waitress was also delicious. We left very full and happy, definitely recommend :)

We had a fantastic dinner! Food was amazing, wine that personell proposed was great as well! We didn’t know it, but there was also a very nice and relaxing live music during dinnertime when we visited

Fidel Gastro provided a fantastic dining experience in Zagreb. The host and manager were incredibly friendly and welcoming, setting a warm tone for the evening. The food was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Highlights included the steak tartare and the scallop risotto, which paired wonderfully with the local wines. The Malvazija was a perfect match for the meal, and the staff’s recommendations were spot on. The ambiance was cozy yet refined, making it an ideal spot for a special meal. A great place to enjoy Croatian cuisine and hospitality—highly recommended!

Great place. I celebrated my birthday there. Food was so delicious and creative. Staff professional and customer oriented. It could have been more people for Friday evening but nice and cossy... without wine prices are more appropriate...

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the toilet facilities are clean and the ladies room has hair spray, hand lotion and tampons for emergencies which is always greatly appreciated. Pricewise, there are cheaper dishes and more expensive ones but it's possible to have a pleasant evening without breaking the bank. The service was excellent on all accounts, the server took the time and effort to explain every meal. All in all, a very pleasant experience and it's definitely worth visiting.

Amazing place, with a lot of spirit, interestingly decorated. Combination of foods and spices is very ingenious and above all very very tasty and delicious, my admiration for the chef. Staff is highly professional and very friendly.
