"If you’d rather stay in downtown Cleveland and drive to and from the park, book at the recently opened Fidelity Hotel. The lodging offers 97 sleek rooms and suites across its 11 stories, plus a lounge, bar, and restaurant. It’s adjacent to one of Cleveland’s most impressive architectural marvels, The Arcade—one of the first indoor shopping malls in America." - Stephanie Vermillion Stephanie Vermillion Stephanie Vermillion is a travel journalist and photographer covering culture and adventure for Travel + Leisure Outside, and more. "As an example of the 2025 trend toward bold, rich design in new Keys, Fidelity Hotel Cleveland in Ohio illustrates the kind of distinctive, design-forward properties the guide is recognizing." - The MICHELIN Guide

"This downtown spot leans into American nostalgia with tactile design, sculptural lighting, deep hues, and Bellino linens; amenities like pour-over coffee, clawfoot tubs, and a classy restaurant and lounge give it the feel of an exclusive urban retreat." - The MICHELIN Guide

"Set in downtown Cleveland’s Euclid Avenue historic district inside the 11-story Baker Building (built for Fidelity Mortgage in 1919), this contemporary boutique hotel feels like a residential-style retreat that blends vintage inspiration with contemporary elegance. The 97-room property emphasizes local impact — it employs a Director of Impact and partners with organizations like the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, donating revenue and volunteer time — while designers Curioso and Looney & Associates weave century-old heritage into the interiors with antique mirrors, brass finishes, marble and hardwood floors, rich sage/rose/cyan/gold palettes, natural wood and organic textures, and a gallery wall of curated ephemera and work by more than three dozen local artists. I loved details such as hand-painted botanical murals in the dining space and Lari Jacobsen’s shimmering-gold mural peppered with Cleveland nods (a leg lamp, stoplight, Cowan Pottery). Guestrooms feel sumptuous and personal with jewel tones, floral wallpaper, custom furniture, Bellino Italian linens, velvet and wood accents, plush Parachute robes, Allegrini bath products, brass Waterworks fixtures, and rotary phones that add nostalgia; the overall atmosphere is inviting, vibrant, and serene. Practical amenities include locally sourced pour-over coffee, a 24-hour fitness center (Peloton bikes, Technogym equipment, CLMBR, FORME mirror), twice-daily housekeeping with nightly turndown and a treat, 24-hour concierge, and on-site dining and bar options that position the hotel as a downtown destination." - Jessica Mlinaric
