Field House Tavern

Field House Tavern is definitely one of my new favorite places. The atmosphere inside and out is really chill, the food is amazing, and the staff are all super friendly. It'll definitely be a regular stop for me going forward.

I’d leave a good review if it was good, but it just wasn’t. The food was awful and incredibly overpriced. For the price, I was expecting more than a processed hamburger patty. The bun and cheese were cold. Overall, I expected more for $18. Two stars because the beer was good. Was really looking forward to this restaurant because I love the location and had frequented the previous restaurant/dog park. If the food improves, I’ll come back and change my review. Edit: due to the response from the owner, I will not be returning.

Field house tavern was awesome. Stopped in to grab a bite and watch college football and it was awesome. We got spinach artichoke dip, wings, and egg rolls. All we’re hot and tasty and there were enough TVs for everyone to have a good view. Beer was also cold and $5 for a draft!

This is sooo disgusting!! Just got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was sopping in I don’t even know what?? Whole table of us didn’t eat our food and it’s so overpriced. Such a shame because it’s a really good location. If you go, don’t touch the food!

We had been wanting to check this place out for a few months and finally stopped in for NFL Sunday. The bar was just crowded enough, but not too much. Nice atmosphere. The outdoor area looked nice for warmer months. Solid bar food. We had the southwest egg rolls, chili, and wings. It was a good amount of food for the money. We will be back for more games in the future

DELICIOUS food, cool vibes and huge dog-friendly patio outdoors. Staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Definitely get one of the sandwiches or pork wings (honey hot)! Saw a previous post today about the AC not working, but we thought it felt absolutely amazing on this hot 100° day. Happy to support this local neighborhood bar and hope they stick around for years to come!

I’m so glad this place opened. We need something like this in the nations. It wasn’t 100% perfect, but definitely a really great spot with loads of potential. The food prices are just way too expensive. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was good but $17.50 is just way too high. I also agree with another reviewer that you need descriptions on the sandwiches. I was not expecting a Nashville hot chicken sandwich to be grilled. It was good and the bread was perfectly toasted so I would order again, but a description would be nice so there are no surprises. Blue cheese crumbles as an add on option wild just set this sandwich off. The service was really good. The bartenders were friendly. The drink prices are excellent. The only real complaint I have was an obnoxious guy sitting at the bar verging on drunk and inappropriate with the bartenders. One last thing that I’d like to mention, the replies to some of the negative reviews almost made me not want to even give you guys a shot. I’m glad I did, but in my opinion I would soften the replies. I understand the passion but would soften my approach (just my opinion). I wished you guys would turn one of the smaller rooms into darts or pool. That would be awesome and would make us come back more often. Overall, the place has tons of potential and we most definitely will be back.

Ordered the Carnegie Hall with the fries add on. Menu reads “lots of corned beef and cheddar.” When I received my sandwich it was composed of barely toasted bread, far from melty cheese, and 2 pieces of thin sliced corned beef. I am not typically one to complain but for $14 this was one time I had to send the food back. They happily remade my food, but once I received the remade sandwich, it was in the exact same state with not 2, but 3 thin slices of corned beef and the fries were so undercooked they were slimy! What an upgrade! $16 before tax down the drain. As someone who has cooked professionally for 10+ years I have to say it is day one of working in a kitchen that you are trained to not make these mistakes. Completely unacceptable. I will not be returning due to this and I regret that due to how great the bartender who served me was. I can’t imagine how often her tips suffer due to this horrible kitchen. Shocking how little pride is shown in the food from this kitchen.

Great place to watch football. Visited around noon on a Saturday and they had the TV's going. Bar was solid. No one in my group ordered food, but the food around me looked good!

I live in the neighborhood and was excited to check this place out. I went during a Tennessee football game to get a burger and a beer, but when I got there at 8 PM on a Saturday night, they said they were completely out of food. I left and went somewhere else. I went back a few weeks later at lunchtime because I was craving a burger. They have a very limited menu and basically only serve burgers and a few sandwiches and apps. The burger was mediocre and the fries were not cooked all the way through and chewy. I ordered a margarita, and it tasted weird and had way too much soda water in it. Pretty disappointing, considering that's the main focus of their menu. Service was inattentive even though it was incredibly slow. I don't think I'll be going back.

I was not welcome here. Walked up to the inside bar on a not very busy Saturday night. Stood at that bar about 10 minutes while the two bartenders chatted the three or four people sitting there. A young guy, early 20s, walks up, and immediately gets an order. I'm a little older but not by much. And I'm like.... Wtf? I didn't say that, but I walked out immediately. I was not at all welcome here and the two bartenders made it very known. This place is nothing more than barely mediocre anyway. Blue moon and some other two or three trash beers is all they had on the taps. Hard pass. It is not a place I would go back to even if I had stayed. I'm actually glad I didn't get served. I am writing this enjoying great food and friendly service from another nearby establishment.

Terrible food, we got hamburgers and couldn't eat them because the meat tasted rancid. We couldn't even complain because nobody even checked in on us to ask. We will never go back.

The food was inedible, and I am not a picky eater. Weird vibes and a rude guy working in the kitchen who got mad when I didn't want fries on my sandwich. I will not go back. I was really hoping this place would be a good addition to the neighborhood and am so disappointed.

Good luck ordering anything here. Came in on a Tuesday night, didn't look particularly busy. Sat down at the bar, there were 4 other people already sat. Waited a full 10 minutes and didn't see one single bartender. One finally emerged from an abyss somewhere behind us and said she would be right with us. Waited another 10 minutes where we didn't see her again and just decided to leave. If Osama Bin Laden himself was crouched down next to this bartender, he would be alive to this day because no one would have ever found him. I just wanted a beer.

Visited for the first time last week and even though there were only a few people there, it took awhile to be able to order a drink from the bar. The food was widely overpriced and it was extremely greasy. Disappointed and have no plans to return

TVs are a good size for watching NFL games if they don't turn the sound off halfway through the game and then tell you the "sound isn't working" while playing their own music in the background. Food is overly greasy. So much squandered potential

This place could be so much better if they hired a well trained cook. The food was really poorly prepared despite quality ingredients. I get the vibe this is some Pittsburgh transplant who thinks he knows how to cook. The fries on the sandwich especially under cooked ones really does not work for most people. I hope they read these reviews and make changes because it could be so much better.

Started off great but has severely gone down hill. When they first opened I didn't mind paying the higher price for a good wrap and some hand cut fries, and they were very good. Past 1-2 months that has not been the case. Food is almost inedible. Good beers and lots of TVs but would not recommend the food currently until they change things up. Service is inconsistent, some nights great, some nights good luck getting an order in.

Food was crazy expensive. Kind of a weird spot. Bartender seemed a little drunk to be honest.

Didn't have the best experience here.. We had great service and it's a nice outdoor spot, but the food was seriously lacking. The Nashville hot sandwich had no seasoning on it, it was lacking in flavor and portion size. Good for drinks but wouldn't totally recommend the food

I recently left a review regarding an over charge on my tab. Well, I would like to take that back because the owner, Mike took care of it. There was a mix up with my tab where they over charged me 30 bucks for a tab that wasn't mine. I went in today and Mike cleared it up, no questions asked. He was very apologetic and didn't have to do that but he did! He clearly values great customer service and it shows. They are a true example of a friendly neighborhood establishment. Plus I ordered a to go Garlic Parmesan grilled cheese and some fries. They were really good!
