This place has been a favorite for a long time and a must visit when I’m in Houston. The food is locally sourced whenever possible and the menu ever changing. The one constant is the great quality and service. The bar menu is extensive.

Google
Disappointing. Called ahead and was told we could be seated immediately. Arrived 7m later then got quoted 45m wait. Put our names down on a list to await a text. Stood out front waiting while trying to contain our children and baby while 1hr and 35m goes by and still no text. I call by phone to inquire just for them to tell me sorry-they don’t know what happened. Complete waste of our time. Ended up having to order takeout from elsewhere. This was our 2nd negative experience here so we will no longer be going back.

Google
Sat at the bar ..bartender, he was very slow to greet us. Seemed he was more focused on bar prepping and dining room drinks. Halfway through our dining experience we had a female Bartender apparently take over and our service was greatly improved. The food was excellent as were our beverage selections.. glass of wine and and an old fashion. We will be back for sure!

We have been to this location multiple times. We made an early reservation on a Saturday night. They were busy. Usually the food is consistently good. But on this night, our steak tasted like lighter fluid or burnt oil. Also, it had a lot of gristle and fat. The other dishes were fine. Our waitress seemed annoyed that we were seated at a 6-top and only had 3 plus a baby. We always order higher priced items so the bill must have been comparable to table next door ordering pizza. In any case, the steak is very expensive and as a steak place, they should not have a miss like that.

We went during happy hour. Everything was amazing. The steak was cook perfectly. The truffle fries are addictive. And leave room for dessert, the pumpkin cobbler was to die for.

Fieldings Local is a self-described "eco-friendly" restaurant and bar that locally sources sustainable foods and materials. The founder was previously associated with Hubbel & Hudson, and the menu and feel might remind you of The Kitchen or Black Walnut. I've eaten at Fieldings (non-local) before and had good experiences, so my expectations for brunch were high. My experience was putting frozen butter on burnt toast with a steak knife; everything was just a bit off, including the service. My wife had a better experience with her food, although the waiter forgot her drink until after we finished the meal. You can probably get a good meal here, and the environment, except the dirty women's restroom, is casual but upscale. Still, I must rate it on my experience; I often get a classic brunch, eggs, bacon, bread, and potatoes or grits. This meal is a good measure of a restaurant; something’s wrong if you can’t do that well. Sadly, the eggs and potatoes were cold, the bacon was over-salted, and the toast was burned. Surprisingly, the coffee is charged by the cup ($4.25ea) with no refills; I can't remember the last time I paid by the cup. On the bright side, the Lemon Pancake, croissant, and Spicy Avocado Scramble were good (or so my wife says). The service fits right in with the food -- it could be better. Our waiter was friendly enough but seemed distracted. You shouldn't have to ask for butter or jelly for your burned toast, coffee refills, or if a cocktail is coming. Again, I could go on, but you get the idea. The atmosphere is pleasant; it's a modern but casual environment with lots of light, concrete, wood, and fake flowers. It's inviting and comfortable. There's outdoor seating available overlooking the green, which I imagine gets busy on cool fall days. As with the food, you can tell a lot by a restaurant based on how they keep their bathroom. The men's bathroom was clean enough, but the women's bathroom needed to be cleaner, with paper towels everywhere, a stall out of order, and a dirty high chair in front of it. I was pretty disappointed in what should have been a fabulous brunch; I might have had a better experience somewhere far cheaper. Still, I'm inclined to chalk this up to an off day or something else going on and try it again, maybe...

Google
Loved the food and the woman assisting us was great. Great atmosphere, Its just not a place big enough to take your stroller when you have a tiny baby. I had to apologize to the patrons as we left because they had to stand up for us to pass. Otherwise give them a try you won't regret. I got the steak with avocado quesadilla and potatoes!! *chefs kiss*

Most amazing food! Everything was fresh. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. Seated immediately with a reservation. Food was perfect and the raspberry almond crisp was AMAZING!

Yelp
What a lovely surprise! Some real genius in the kitchen, and some of the most delicious food we've eaten in Houston. The holiday decor is really cute. Eclectic place. This place has such wonderful salads that it's worth coming here just for those. I had the Baby Kale with blueberries, goat feta and walnuts and it was excellent. Mr. Picky ordered the Harvest Chicken Cobb which had a mass of the usual Cobb ingredients, resulting in an absolutely magnificent taste experience!!! Mr. Picky likes ordering Arnold Palmer drinks and said their version with their lemonade was delicious; he even asked the waiter to bring TWO more and have them lined up and ready to go when he finished the current one :-) Mr. Picky said he really liked his Vegetable Masala. My lamb chops were perfect, really tasty with that herbed topping. I tasted his turmeric rice and thought it was so delicious that next time I think I'd order the lamb chops with that rice instead of the lentils, although I have to say everything was delicious. An honorable mention to the wonderful wilted spinach, possibly the best I've eaten in any restaurant, and maybe as good as my mother's. Next time my doctor says we need to eat more spinach, I'm going to use that as my excuse to come over here for lunch. Save room for dessert. I sacrificed eating all my lentils just so I could leave room for dessert because if it was half as good as the savory food, then we would leave very happy. Our waiter Chris recommended the bread pudding and the moment I saw that it was accompanied with my absolute favorite ice cream flavor, rum raisin, I ordered that. Mr. Picky ordered the Tiramisu, and we both preferred what we had ordered. In fact, both were wow wonderful!!! Can't wait to come back for more genius from the chef. This should be rated far higher. PS Snuck a look at the Saturday-Sunday menu which is served 10AM-3PM and it looks amazing.

Yelp
If you've read my other reviews then you know I big on service and this place doesn't disappoint, ever! From being greeted at the door and seated quickly, I felt a personalized touch. They have many good options for all palettes and diets so don't be afraid to try anything. I've had the butter chicken, the pappardelle and the pizza and Ive never been disappointed.

Yelp
The most amazing grilled octopus! Get this. Seriously so delectable. I plan to bring my sister when she visits. Exceptional service and hibby enjoyed the smoked old fashion drink.
google avatar

Kathryn G.

Yelp
Super sad to say but this is the second time i've been and the service was just awful! There also is a million teenagers that hang out around the green area and can be loud and almost dangerous as kids kick balls into the restaurant. The food also did make me extremely sick the last night i went which was very sad.

Yelp
I was deployed with the National Guard, and the first place I wanted to go to when I got home was Fieldings. They have not only a great ambiance and decor which changes with each holiday season, but they have great service, delicious food, and unique takes on classic cocktails that also changes every so often. My favorite drink there is the Smokey Old Fashioned while my wife loves the Fielding's French 75. For appetizers, my wife and I always split the Spanish Octopus. It is usually very tender and delicate. It is served over a mashed potato that is flavored with spices and appears a reddish-orange color that compliments the natural colors of the octopus. Fielding's is my go-to for a consistent and reliably delicious, well-prepared filet mignon. They come with fries, and I always upgrade to the truffle oil which also comes with parmesan. For dessert, you have to try their Bananas Foster. The presentation is worth the price and the dessert itself is perfection. If you like live music, they have it on Friday and Saturday nights. The music isn't too loud and it's always been tasteful and a really nice addition to the fun ambiance on a weekend night.

Yelp
Date night, girls night, Saturday night or maybe on a Friday night? Yep those are the nights to go. Live music, lively crowd and during the Christmas holiday the vibe was lively and classy. And I don't say this lightly because most places in the Woodlands even Perry's suddenly brings in a Applebees crowd. And by this I mean "family night". Nothing worse than sipping on a Martini and staring at five year old sitting at the next table! Ugh no thanks! But on this night thankfully the bar had a sepárate area and there were no kids in site. My GF and I came in for dinner to celebrate her birthday and since it was so crowded we dined at the bar. My dinner included scallops $49 they were delicious but waaay overpriced is there still a shortage? My vino rojo wine was devine. The service however was as slow as molasses. I still plan on coming back but not to ever eat at the bar. Music was perfection. Don't miss!

Yelp
I went here for a girl's lunch during the day on a Friday and thankfully it wasn't extremely busy because we were a very large group, just under 20 I believe. First off, I have to say that the staff was extremely helpful, the girl who took my order was really nice and accommodating for what I was trying to order since I kept asking for her recommendations, because I did not look at that menu beforehand (something I usually do). I started with a latte because it was still early, and wish they had sugar free options. The white chocolate latte was good and I feel guilty about it not being sugar free. But there you have it. For food, I ended up going with the Margherita with onions and artichokes, which was really yummy. I am glad I ended up going with that because it was a good size and I wanted to have something for leftovers. I also liked the ranch that I got on the side (I'm somewhat of a ranch snob). I heard that the brunch was good, so I think I need to come in and try that!

Yelp
I went here on a Saturday afternoon ~6pm. It was really busy! I ordered takeout, so I didn't get the full dining experience. The restaurant seemed nice and swanky, but was much louder and less intimate than I expected. Also - it's in a really busy shopping area, so there's a lot of people walking around & hanging out at the little park. The food was good but very expensive. I got the fried chicken sandwich & the croissant bread pudding. Both of these were really great but a little overpriced. I'd probably pay around $15 for the sandwich & $10 for the bread pudding. (Both were 20 + 13 respectively). The food tasted really good though! The sandwich was juicy & tender & perfectly spiced/seasoned. It was really flavorful. The fries were good (but a little cold - my fault because I got takeout). The bread pudding was really good as well. I might go here again, but probably only for a special occasion. I'd rather go somewhere else for the money.

Yelp
Met friends for brunch! Food was delicious and service was excellent! I had the brisket Benedict and hubby had chicken & waffles. Both very tasty. Bread basket and buffalo mac n cheese were nice additions.

Yelp
Wow! This place was nicely decorated and cozy with a modern feel. Parking wasn't to terrible. Just had to park across the way. It was quiet. The bread app definitely surprised me and it was delicious. The salmon I ordered was packed with flavor, absolutely amazing. I was to full to try dessert but I'll definitely be coming back. The service was always very nice and our waitress was very attentive.

Robert D.

Yelp
Mid at best. Food looks nothing like the pictures online, and isn't good enough to warrant the price points. Fast casual flavor and at high quality price points. That being said, the cocktails are sensational. Go to drink, eat somewhere else first.

Yelp
Christmas reservation at 3. What's the opposite of classy? Fielding's would be my answer. First thing we see is that they allowed a man in who was wearing a shirt that said "blowjob queen." Sat us on uneven table with stains all over it right by front door when there were numerous empty tables. Multiple people parking themselves right next to our table while waiting for there's to open. Dirty stains on table next to us as well, afterthought table and heard manager complaining next to us for 15 minutes. How does a manager or any worker not see a dirty table and not clean it up? Especially if you sit someone right next to that table. The unawareness was ridiculous and multiple workers doing nothing but talking to each other. Dirty menus and silverware. Didnt have the one drink item we wanted in stock. Bathroom smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in months and no paper towels to wipe off hands. Menu was ridiculously overpriced. $60 for two burgers and a beer that wasn't as good as going to Wendys for half the price. Awful experience and would have given no stars if it was an option. Don't waste your money.

Yelp
Fantastic food, nice energy and 5 stars experience. It was amazing. I went with a friend and we were both satisfied with the service. Definitely I'll be back.

Yelp
Let's just start off with the fact that this restaurant will charge a $50 no show fee if you happen to miss your reservation. I've dined at restaurants with similar policies, they're all upscale fine dining restaurants, THIS is not an upscale or a fine dining restaurant. It's a cute little spot but it's not upscale by any means, it's a lot more casual. Policies aside, the staff is very friendly, super attentive, and overall just very pleasant. Our waitress was Alyssa she was super sweet and very attentive. I don't remember the name of the guy that flambéed our bananas fosters but he was really nice and super knowledgeable. The restaurant was decorated super cute for Easter and their bathrooms were really clean. If you like cute vibes and bland food, I'd eat here. Everything is good except for the food. I ordered a brioche bacon egg and cheese sandwich and it was so bland I couldn't even get through half of it. I also ordered potatoes and they were just as bad. My friend ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken was only good dipped in the sauce that comes with the meal. The waffle was okay but only because it was covered in syrup. It wasn't very enjoyable to eat though since it's a Belgian waffle it's kind of hard and crunchy. It would've been a lot better if it were just a regular old fashioned waffle. It's the same way I felt about the banana foster waffle, the bananas were good but that dang Belgian waffle just ruined the dish. I honestly wouldn't come back, the food left a lot to be desired.

Yelp
Fieldings has been a favorite of ours since moving to Texas. It is a little higher end when it comes to a meal out, but they definitely cook better than we do! My older daughter almost always gets the kids pizza, and usually eats the whole thing! Today I tried the black truffle croque monster (not what it is actually called, but what I call them). I don't know that I would order it again, but that is just personal preference and not that the food was bad. My husband got the chilaquiles - and those are always amazing. Our youngest got a biscuit with butter and jam, and as usual- she also wanted everyone else's food too. It was a lovely dining experience as always. Unrelated - but we also had a great game of crucifixion going (instead of hangman since it is Easter weekend) - always need to have some sort of table game with little humans.
google avatar

Janet M.

Yelp
Pretentious, overpriced and mediocre. They serve tap water in a bottle to make it appear as if it's still water. The servers are less than efficient, yet their prices would make you believe you'll get the red carpet treatment. I won't be back. There are too many great selections around to settle for less than expected.
google avatar

Tito E.

Yelp
I've been a customer for years...the food is excellent as is the service ... Fieldings alway offers a good familiar atmosphrre...
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
First, the service here was impeccable. John was our waiter and super accommodating, along with the manager, whose name I cannot remember for the life of me. I'm sorry, because he was also amazing. We had a party of 5 with 2 kids. The food was delicious. We had steaks and the butter chicken and all were wonderful. I highly recommend Fieldings.
google avatar

Yelp
This was our first visit, but it will definitely not be our last. From apps to mains to dessert, every bite was delicious and the service was excellent!

Yelp
My wife and I are new to the area and visited Fielding's for a belated anniversary dinner that we missed while moving. Overall impressions -- quaint atmosphere, fresh, & tasty. I had a grilled Korean-style short ribs dish with an awesome side of farro pineapple fried rice, beech mushrooms, cashews, edamame, & kimchi aioli. The short ribs were a little spicy & fatty, but it's not a prime cut of meat & Fielding's did a great job making something tasty from a cut that many would avoid or discard. My wife had the pesto salmon & her plate was empty when we left. She also raved about her "Austin summer tea" cocktail. Great service from a young guy named Austin, too. IMO prices were a little high to garner a full 5 stars, but 4 stars is very respectable.

Dolores G.

Yelp
First time to the Kuykendahl Rd location. Have eaten at the other location. Loved the Ambiance and service. Didn't order a full entrée, nothing on menu sounded appealing. Had tomatoe soup, bit salty for my taste and a small bowel of spaghetti, it was a bit over powering by amount of cheeses. Ordered a chocolate martini, was advise they didn't have all the ingredients, but the bartender made a great effort in using ingredients on hand.
google avatar

Zach G.

Yelp
This place is definitely a hidden gym! I love everything from the ambiance, the service, and the food! My waitress Zarya took such good care of me. It was my first time here and she was so helpful with recommendations. She was so knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients as well. The mimosa flights where amazing. Sweet tasting but very strong. Such a steal for $25. The chicken chilaquiles was great. It tasted so fresh. I loved all the fresh ingredients. The bananas foster waffle was amazing. It's so nice that they prepare table side for you. Overall a great dine-in experience! For more reviews checkout @zach4gears on Instagram and TikTok

Yelp
The filet is butter tender. So good. Hazelnut broccoli or spinach are excellent!! Service is Impeccable!

Yelp
Ohhhhh the cinnamon bun and Darlene aka Starbucks will make u a espresso martini shot to die for

Yelp
Went to Fielding,s for restaurant week 2024. There were 4 of us and we tried different items on the menu. Everything was tasty and a little different than what you might expect. We all enjoyed our meals. Our server was Chris. He was outstanding, always willing to go check with the bartender or the chef in answering our questions. Great job!!!

Taylor S.

Yelp
Only come here if you want your drinks to be over 20 minutes late and then be told that if you ask management about the issue "he would laugh in your face." We understand there are bar delays but to be told your concerns of waiting over 20 minutes was "laughable" is something I don't understand. The main concern being that we waited 22 minutes before being told the item was out of stock. Once we were told the item was out of stock we then had to wait an additional amount of time and were almost finished eating. Delays are understandable but the blatant refusal to take customer concerns into consideration showcased values that do not align with a service first mentality. I also want to clarify this was at the woodlands location as we have never had similar problems at research.
google avatar

Marcos E.

Yelp
Great food and great service, enjoy eating the bar where everything is done right and it's close to the tv during sport games
google avatar

Yelp
Loved this place! Excellent environment where you can where a blazer or shorts and trucker cap. I got the filet. It was perfectly cooked but maybe a little over salted. The apps were great. The smoked old fashioned was perfect! Lastly, service was superb!! Will definitely go back.
google avatar

Alice G.

Yelp
Service was horrible our waitress was to busy talking instead of checking on us. I had to approach another waiter to help. I had to get up and take request my check. My waitress was TO BUSY talking to the host. Unfortunately, this was the first time coming in.
google avatar

Kimmy R.

Yelp
Everything I've had here has been amazing! They're sauces are out of this world and they have some very original things on their menu! It's a bit pricey but nice for survival occasions or if you want to treat yourself. I'm happy to have this location nearby as I'm a huge fan of their sister location in The Woodlands. I usually get some sort of steak with dashi veggies. The Asian short rib steak is super flavorful and a huge portion. They also have some creative cocktails and desserts. I've never been for brunch but people rave about it. I've dined in and also gotten to go and all the service has been excellent. There's live music which is great but it can get loud and crowded. There's no way I won't be back!

Yelp
There are many good to great eateries in this area and Fieldings is firmly in the great category. We 6 arrived on an early Saturday afternoon sans reservation. The host and servers quickly created a hightop configuration that could accommodate us. Take note there is a bank of tablets that the kiddos can use to keep them occupied while the adults peruse the craft cocktails and boozy flight offerings. I must say upfront that the service is wonderfully professional and accommodating with special requests. We asked for the little one's App and entrees to be brought as soon as possible and voila they appeared and they were kept occupied as we enjoyed our bloodies and boozy coffee flights. The giant cinnamon roll with pecan pie glaze arrived for the little ones and it was a sweet delight that we just had to taste. The Black & Blue Burger with creole seasoning, bacon, Roquefort blue cheese, pickles, and brioche fries were cooked perfectly. My Brisket scramble was a full meal. Unlike other brisket scrambles that I've had this one had an ample amount of brisket that was moist and not dry. The fried egg topper and subtle heat from the peppers were just delightful. Our hosts ordered the fish tacos and the french toast Monte Cristo. The tacos were spiced perfectly and the Monte Cristo was a huge portion that would keep you satisfied all day long. There is a full bar with ample craft cocktail offerings and a pretty good craft beer selection. We are already planning to return on our next visit. An easy peasy 5-star review!

Yelp
Fantastic brunch menu and veggie head options for me. The Arugula Ranch Salad was devine and ideal for sharing. But I'll be back for the hummus and those warm yummy socca.
google avatar

Yelp
Clean place and friendly staff. However, the quality did not justify the price in my experience.

Yelp
Nice please, good food, good service and the people that goes frecuently very nice! And walking distance from where I live

Yelp
The food was great!!! The old fashion is definitely the drink to get highly recommended!!! Definitely will be returning.

Yelp
Love their brunch! Always a million things on the menu that look great so we go and order several things and just split. Always love their rotating specials.

Yelp
I'm happily surprised by Fielding's Local Kitchen. We ordered the Truffled Spinach Artichoke Pizza and Salmon with Champagne sauce & Caviar, Ricotta Ravioli, Leek Fondue and chives. I also order a Smokey Old Fashion that came out in a Smokey globe, as it should. This place is in a great location and seems to be the centerpiece of the area with other restaurants around it. Honestly, I was a little hesitant to come here because the prices I seen online. However, after eating here, it's worth every single penny. Kudos to my server TJ. He was training a new person and setting the bar high. I can't wait to share this new found restaurant with fellow friends and co-workers. You impressed me Fielding's. Cheers!

Carolina S.

Yelp
We enjoy date nights at fielding's. Prices are a bit high which can be overlooked occasionally since the service is great and the flavors are special.
google avatar

Greg T.

Yelp
I really want this place to be good since it's within walking distance but it's just not. Expensive, lack of quality service and the food is just NOT GOOD. If you think it is, you're woefully without basic appreciation of proper cuisine. Go to Mastro's then return here and see if you've learned anything. BTW: yes, I am a foodie and attended CCA in SFO...so I do know food and wine. My 2 cents. Greg T.

Yelp
The weekend brunch menu offered a great selection of both savory and sweet options. The Steak Frites was delicious and cooked to perfection. The waffle was sweet and just the right size to add a side of bacon or an egg with. The bacon and Bleu cheese burger was fantastic with the truffle fries. The children's menu had several lunch options that include a scoop of gelato. The cocktail menu looked good, but unfortunately I did not try any on this occasion. I did enjoy my personal carafe of non-sweetened iced tea. One of my favorite parts of a restaurant is checking the restroom. It was clean, and both the men's and women's sides offered soap, a sugar hand scrub, and hand cream. It was a beautiful and great smelling touch.
google avatar

Yelp
100% one of the best brunch spots in the woodlands. Everything on the menu is very good, the service is quick and reservations are available. Recommend getting the chicken and waffle and banana foster French toast ( it's listed as dessert and is prepared table side.. 10/10 recommend ordering for breakfast). must try location!

Sylena F.

Yelp
My favorite local spot. Staff is friendly. Cocktails are on point and the menu is updated seasonally. Great vibes and atmosphere. Love!

Patrick H.

Yelp
Very disappointing dining experience. The salad looked and tasted like chopped up leftover lettuce. The spinach had no flavor. I used to like this place but I don't think I'll be back. Had better salad at Mc Donald's.

Joseph K.

Yelp
We order the fries and it was amazing when we asked for a drinks they brought it so fast the mood is amazing there are many flowers and American flags and Italian flags the bathroom is very nice and clean and moody the pizza looks amazing and Rasta amazing I'm a picky eater and this is good I recommend

Yelp
Great food and service. Charcuterie board wonderful for 4. Steaks and all the sides and sauces were delicious and cooked to order. Try the lemon pie, melts in your mouth. We will be back. Music was very enjoyable. Great place to celebrate our birthday with great friends!

Yelp
Wine list is awesome! Our server was a lot of fun and my pizza was really good! They have a great patio and good happy hour specials.

Yelp
Visited here twice. The first time I had a salad and the aviation cocktail, it was great. The second time not so much I had a burger it was ok and aviation not good at all then a gin & tonic which I had to send back to bartender. Perhaps it was a bad night.

Yelp
Favorite restaurant in Woodlands. Ambiance, food and service is always top notch. There is nothing bad on the menu!

Yelp
Lunch yesterday exceeded expectations. Full bar. started with Cast iron Bread with burr at a and pesto. We had really good, flavorful burgers. I had the Black and Blue, friend had wood Grilled Dry Aged burgers. Generous meat portion cooked just as requested.. unusual and tasty gelato selections. I had hazelnut, which I've never seen before. Quiet. Conversationion possible. Excellent attentive service. Never had to ask for refills. Really enjoyed the experience.
