The Best Restaurants and Bars in The Woodlands

"Owner Cary Attar and Executive Chef Edelberto Goncalves keep the eclectic menu at this Creekside Park Village Green restaurant fresh and forward-leaning. Dig into diner favorites, including tangy butter chicken, dashi broccoli, and Korean-style grilled short ribs, and be sure to check out the restaurant’s busy calendar for specials like Taco Tuesdays, Irish Coffee Week, and Bootlegger’s Days, which feature Prohibition-style cocktails. The inviting bar area attracts groups of co-workers and friends for afternoon happy hour with its ever-changing list of seasonal craft cocktails, an accessible wine list, and extensive whiskey, scotch, and tequila offerings. Linger a little longer on the patio for dessert and after-dinner drinks while the kids play on the adjacent green space." - Laura L. Green, Brittany Britto Garley

On the Grid : Fielding’s Wood Grill

"Fielding's Wood Grill and Fielding's Local (also included in our must-see places in The Woodlands) are two distinct restaurants with a common mission—dining centered around artisan dishes created diligently with locally sourced ingredients. Fielding's Wood Grill focuses on burgers, steaks, and seafood. All their beef and chicken are raised without antibiotics or growth hormones on vegetarian feed. The burger meat is hand-cut and ground daily. Both locations offer a wide selection of craft beer and spirits. But do not leave Fielding's Wood Grill without ordering one of their magnificent milkshakes." - A Civil Fox

Google
Intimate cafe near the woodlands where you can go for a burger or sandwich. The prices were steep for side substitutes and something more fancy than a burger. My wife and I spent $50 for a simple burger and wrap with two sides…No drinks, apps or dessert. Maybe it’s just the way the world is nowadays.

This is one of my fav spots in The Woodlands to stop and eat at. The atmosphere is very welcoming and clean. Staff was nice and attentive. Our food was good. Our waffles was a little overcooked to be finished. The chicken & waffle was good -- waffle was a little over done but the chicken was good. The calamari has a nice Vietnamese fusion - jalapeños were not spicy but I could appreciate the pickled veggies. The cinnamon roll - it's big enough to be shared. The bathrooms has their line of sugar scrub, scenter, body butter and lotion. The body butter was a hit for our family. Parking is typical woodlands parking The old fashion decanter/infusion thing is def pretty cool. We ordered 1 old fashion which was plenty. It was probably the smoothest we've ever had it. The aromas were definitely loved in this process.

We were hungry for a good burger and chose to try Fielding’s. The service was amazing. They have a nice bar and also sell other items (scent products)which was surprising. The food was delicious and many products are produced in house. The only reason I gave 4 stars is actually a personal preference and has nothing to do with the quality of the food or the restaurant…I don’t like to see a view of a parking lot. Close off the windows so I will enjoy the beauty of the restaurant.

Google
A hidden gem of a find. The food was amazing. Do not pass up the Brussel sprouts. We also sampled each of their sauces. They were amazing. Hard to choose which is best. And the wait staff is super knowledgeable about each dish and how it is prepared.

Google
I got the Texas Blues burger. Fig jam and blue cheese don't go well together. The waitress asked if I wanted onion rings for an upcharge. I neglected to ask how much of an upcharge, $6 for 6 onion rings felt disingenuous. But I didn't think it would be that much. But I guess that's on me for not following up and asking. I asked for a large shake to go. It was good but felt more like a small than a large especially for $11. Overall felt like the place was a bit overpriced for what you got.

Google
I wish I had taken a picture of the salt scrub and lotion. It was so nice, and it smelled so good. When I got home, I looked up this place online to order some, but there wasn't an option. The service was great. Our waiter was wonderful. The food was ok.

Google
We have been coming here since they opened back in 2014 and have loved it every time. Their eggs Benedict is by far the most delicious I’ve ever had and their French toast keeps us coming back for more. My husband prefers the Power Bowl but their bacon is the real show stopper. I joke that if their recipes ever change I’ll cry but honestly everything on their menu is yummy. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu over the years and have yet to be disappointed. Our 5 yr old daughter loves their food but mostly loves the iPad table. She is always content playing games w the big kids and being independent. Our serves always keep an eye on the kids and make sure to take them food or beverages if we ask. You can dress it up and keep it casual and you are always welcome. The manager and staff have always welcomed us and chatted us up at the table each time. If you’re looking for brunch, burger or even a delicious salad you need to check this place out.

Google
So happy that we tried this place out! We went based off of Google maps and decided between this one and another, but we knew that we wanted a local kitchen feel. The burgers were highly recommended so we went with that choice and did not regret it at all. We also had a flight of beers, fun to try different beers! We had the bread, pudding and the tres leches cake, all was well worth it. Our server said he loves working for the company, the beef company they use is highly rated so we knew it would taste great, we will be back for brunch!

Annette T.

Yelp
Nice environment, small seating space and better for smaller groups. The half chicken was excellent! The Brussels sprouts were very savory, fries are good, ribs were ok, the banana Nutella shake made the overall visit totally worth it! My kids loved the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. We visited from out of town and would definitely go back.

Yelp
We have been going here over the years and this place is always solid. Typically our Sunday brunch place. Absolutely recommend the sriracha Bloody Mary. If you're brave, order it extra spicy! Soooo good! With that said, my new favorite thing is the chorizo breakfast tacos! Wow! So good. A little full, and maybe ask for an extra tortilla. Did mine with corn, and that is what I recommend! Chris took care of us on this visit, and was super cool and did a great job on recommendations and service. We will see the Fielding's team again soon I am sure! Cheers!

Yelp
A truly outstanding restaurant where every single dish is nearly perfect. Mature, experienced servers add to the professional ambiance, along with a perfectly designed interior. The Bloody Mary sampler and Eg,gs Benedict are worth visiting all on their own, but make sure you get something with their bacon on it. The only ding might be that it's usually very crowded at any kind of prime time, but that's just because it's so good.

Yelp
Fielding's always hits! delicious food. Lorenzo is a wonderful server. His conversation flowed and he made my mom's birthday very special by being attentive. He made wonderful suggestions. The hostess also changed the tv channel when I asked, no questions, which is awesome. Eating here is always a good time. Atmosphere is a pleasure. Food came out quick and seasoned to perfection. Dessert is the best part in my opinion. The White chocolate bread pudding is SPLENDID. I'm visiting on my birthday just to pick up dessert!

Yelp
This is still one of my favorite places to go to for brunch when im on the north side. While I enjoy the mimosas. Some of them leave me with a headache. The service is great and the place stays clean and of course I enjoy their bathroom amenities. This time I tried their breakfast sandwich with their chicken sausage and added the bacon. I don't think I cared for the sausage so I would try a different meat next time. But the soft croissant and eggs and potatoes were good.

Yelp
Yum! I enjoyed my Thai chicken salad. I do wish there was a little more chicken on the salad though. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. She also showed concern with my dairy allergy. My friend enjoyed her Alfredo just said the portion size was small for the price, I agreed. The drinks did not disappoint at all! The restaurant was clean. The bathrooms had hand cream and sugar scrub as well. I will definitely be back to try a burger!

Judy C.

Yelp
Even though we were seated in the bar we had a constant stream of groups with small loud children across from us I thought I was at TGI Fridays

Yelp
Happy I finally got in here for dinner last night. I sat at the bar area, Jake was a new bar tender in training and did a fantastic job. Happy hour prices were still good, I had the nice Lyeth Cabernet Sauvignon and an order of the meatballs which were plate licking good! Then I had the Redfish Ponchartrain and a side of spinach which also was great. This will be my go to place for dinner in the Woodlands once a month when I attend a meeting there.

Yelp
Love that they offer gourmet sliders!! This black & bleu slider is the perfect size. Also, you MUST try the onion rings!! They are crispy and juicy! Perfecto!!

Yelp
It was pretty good. The best thing I had was the green beans. My goodness they were sooo delicious. The brussel sprouts were bomb too. I enjoyed the burgers but I have had better. It's a very small spot but a very chill spot. I wouldn't recommend large parties. It's a good place for a quick weekend night out The service is kinda slow which didn't bother us because we were there socializing with family. The manager was really nice and continued to check on us and she even gave my son a birthday cocktail on the house. I would go back but with a smaller party.
google avatar

Avalon R.

Yelp
Honestly loved the place! It was hidden but very easy to find with GPS. All the food was very very please. The Mac and cheese is very basic but not bad. Service was good but took longer to bring stuff out or attend to us. The vibe was okay there very chill.
google avatar

Fiona L.

Yelp
Really glad we found this place! They have a lot of menus which means a lot to choose from! Lots of drink options which is awesome! Love the vibe here and the food was pretty good too!
google avatar

K S.

Yelp
The atmosphere is nice, but the space is small. Now, the food. The food was ok. The burger, although juicy, did not have any taste besides the mayo and cheese. It was real meat, so that is a plus. The fries were fresh but overcooked. I ended up removing some of the parmesan. The service was pretty good, the manager Sean, was an upstanding guy. I might give it one more try.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Service and food still top notch. We always bring our out of town friends here for brunch. Our only complaint is each time we come we consistently have an issue using one particular credit card of ours. Managers have tried to get to the bottom of the issue, but it remains a mystery despite the card being fine on our side. Keep an eye out on their specials and drink concoctions. They are always worthwhile.

Yelp
Met clients for lunch and we really enjoyed it. I got there early enjoyed a nice latte and glad I got there early because it's a busy lunch spot. One of my clients said it was the best burger he's ever had. The Thai Chicken and Rotisserie Chicken Cobb Salads were wonderful. Looks like a great place for happy hour as well.

Yelp
Brunch at Fielding's was fabulous! The portions are very generous so come hungry. Tip: Be sure to sample the Fielding's Hand Soap, Scrub and Lotion in the restrooms, yup I definitely bought some, they smell amazing.

Shoffies S.

Yelp
The food and service was excellent. We ordered steak and eggs, a salad, and a couple of cocktails for brunch. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our waitress was amazing. She was easy to talk to, knew her stuff, and helped us find the best dishes for our taste buds. The ambience was what would think of when you think of a busy Sunday brunch. A little loud, but nothing crazy. Comfortable setting.

E F.

Yelp
Took forever for the server to come to the table. Ordered a burger with a side of 10 dollar fries because nothing comes with a burger.. it arrived cold 30 minutes later with a soaked bun. I told the server we were unhappy with the burgers and literally squeezed the bun to show her how dripping wet the bottom bun was. We told her we would like to just go. There was one bite of the burger - she actually charged me for the ten dollar fries that we didn't even eat . They were very greasy and lacked flavor beyond grease. One of the worst burgers I've ever had and the service was pretty nonexistent- our server was even training someone smh . I do not recommend going, we only tried this place based on these reviews which after visiting I can't take seriously. Inside is average the speakers are not balanced for the space. The only good thing was the lighting, minus an odd big screen tv in the dining room.

Yelp
It was good food! We had a great time! Amazing service and cleanliness. We had the sirloin steak, fish tacos and an appetizer plate..

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Very creative, gr8 tasting recipes Really gr8 service, competitive pricing Quiet tables & atmosphere to enjoy adult food & beverages

Yelp
The burger is to die for. If you ever want a great burger please check them out. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Stopped by for brunch on a Saturday and was a tad overwhelmed by their menu options. They had 3 menus. One special for the week, one brunch and one lunch. We ordered lunch and brunch. Sweet potato fries - if I had to bet on these being freshly made in house or frozen, I'll go with frozen. The texture and taste was poor. There were some pieces that were so salty as well. The entree options (Smoke, Chilaquiles Verde, and Texas hash) were all very flavorful and good. The only downside was the carb fillers that was probably 85% of the dish. They filled it with either nacho chips or fries. For a party of two, we were quite stuffed with our order and didn't finish the carb fillers of the dishes. Also the coffee is bottomless.

Yelp
Well, what can I say....they have the food right, the staff was efficient, oh it's the pricing for eggs & bread that's a bit outrageous,...I guess it's in the Woodlands so what can you expect. Atmosphere, not totally hip or upscale, idk how to describe it honestly. There are some high table tops next to the bar, some booths on the other side of the bar & table with chairs on the other side. As you walk to the restroom you can see the kitchen through the glass, lots going on back there. The location is a bit small & they don't take phone call reservations so be prepared to wait for seating. The creme brulee french toast was delicious I'm not going to lie, however $13 for 2 slices of bread is completely outrageous. The hot chocolate (which is half of a regular coffee cup & water based) was a fail at $5 cup. The chicken sandwich was great, however again fail on the price. I believe it was $19, it did taste like grandma's fried chicken, juicy & tender & crispy, great seasoning. The waffle was hot, good taste, a bit over cooked. The rosemary lemonade was tart & sweet, refreshing, overpriced. The migas was served hot, eggs cooked nicely, I was Missing the cheese flavor expected, some black beans thrown in there, basically it was 4 scrambled eggs for $12. Again overpriced. I'm sorry all I can focus on after tip is the $120 bill for a few eggs, lemonade, hot chocolate & bread. I could have fed a family for a week off breakfast, that bugs me a bit, so..it was nice to try but I'll pass on throwing money away by eating here again. Enjoy.

Yelp
This restaurant is a hidden gem. From the outside you would never know this upscale casual restaurant with great ambience exists. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and then directed to a booth. We were served by Ollie. I relied on him for recommendations and tried everything he recommended. It was happy hour so my guest and I ordered cocktails. Ollie recommended the Navaja so that is what I ordered and it was delicious.. As an appetizer we ordered the Thai bacon bites. The bacon is cured in house and was delicious. The dish had a variety of contrasting flavors that complemented each other. The sweetness and spicy (although not spicy) of the Thai sauce with the savory ness and saltiness of the bacon. The julienned vegetables were amazing! I ordered fish tacos for my entree with truffle Parmesan fries.both were good but did have an underwhelming taste too them. I was able to finish both but would not order again. My experience overall was great. They have such a great drink and food menu. I will definitely be back and look forward to returning! Ollie was such a great server and I enjoyed everything he recommended and his honest feedback of menu selections!

Yelp
We tried half the menu for our wedding anniversary. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. Really enjoyed the entire experience.

Yelp
First of all - I love when I don't have to wait to be seated when there are open tables. Second - I often ask my server what their favorite items are on the menu. I got passionate input on their menu! I ordered the Texas Blue burger and it was outstanding - the fig jam I think really makes it - and I was able to get it without the bacon. I know, I'm a weirdo who doesn't like bacon. My husband got the blackened red fish with rice and beans and mushroom sauce. He ate the whole thing - so it must've been good. We also got onion rings and sweet potato fries to share. If I had to pick one over the other again I'd go for the onion rings, but both were very good. Keep in mind, Fielding is a bit $$$ but not outrageous. I would absolutely recommend an outing to this restaurant - if I'm going a little $$$ I need it to be a meal that is better than what I can make and this sure was! Bon appetit!

Dan B.

Yelp
Good food and nice atmosphere. Great drink speciality's. Staff is always bright and cheerful.

Yelp
This is the second time I've been here. After my fist time, I left a fair review about the quality of service, which hinged in making a reservation and it essentially not being honored and the lack of the waiter's ability to understand the drinks he was attempting to sell me. I thought overall the food was decent but was more displaced with the service at this location. So I'm return they contacted me and sent me $50 gift card to come back and give them another shot. So I did. Here we go again. My wife and I went tonight to get out of the house and just basically go on a date. We simply get a drink each and an appetizer to share, calamari. The food (calamari) is decent, not my style but not bad whatsoever, it was spicy, and I typically prefer more traditional. I would however get it again if I ever was forced to come back here. So, I'm asking for the check, I pay with the gift card, and then I'm told they don't honor the gift cards, for some technical reason dealing with the POS. My wife asks for the manager. He explains the same thing. My wife asks if he could look it up via the website, to which he replies no, and repeats the same POS system denying the ability to use gift cards. To be fair, I understand that you can't take our gift card and honor it later, as you don't necessarily know how much is on it, but at this point the manager lost his cool. I had already provided a credit card to just pay so we could leave as I was just annoyed at this point and getting irritated at his attitude. Now the manager snatched the bill off the table, looks at it, (it's only $37) rips the bill off the board and slings my credit card and gift card on the table and says, "fine don't worry about it, it's on me" and runs off like a 10 year old. Sorry, but I have zero tolerance for unprofessional and disrespectful people, particularly in the service industry. Twice I have attempted to enjoy this establishment and twice I have only been increasingly disappointed and never been treated that disgustingly disrespected in public and in front of the entire restaurant over a $37 bill that I had already placed a credit card down to pay. I highly suggest to find another restaurant to spend your money at, where they will appreciate you, as an actual customer. And yes, I still tipped the waiter as none of this was his fault.

Yelp
Lauren was excellent!!! Food was amazing! Happy hour was fun! Sat in bar area and Lauren was so friendly, kind and on it-excellent service!!! Thank you!!!

Randy W.

Yelp
The food and service is consistently good. It's one of our favorite places for brunch on Sunday. Lauren is an outstanding server. She is so good we ask for her when we visit. The french toast and waffle are outstanding. My wife loves their eggs Benedict. You can't go wrong with anything you order.
google avatar

Nick R.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem behind the trees. We absolutely loved the food. Excellent customer service sends this place over the top! Waitstaff and even the managers on both nights made sure everything was perfect. We had dinner here two nights in a row while in town for a concert. Everything exceeded our expectations even down to the soap in the bathrooms!!! You'll see. .
google avatar

Bubba T.

Yelp
The grilled shrimp fettuccine was really nice. The shrimp grilled perfectly not too over cooked or undercooked. Fettuccine pasta sauce was lite and just right and not too heavy on the cream. Parmesan was overly used over exaggerated on everything, pasta, bread, plate etc. kind of drowned the taste a little. Could use a little extra shrimp, 4 total overall but 6 would've been better. But overall 4/5!
google avatar

STEVE B.

Yelp
Had the Cowboy burger with pimento cheese and candied jalapeños - just the right amount of kick. Was surprised that it had to be ordered Medium-well or Well but when you see the slab of pork bacon hanging on display - maybe this is for the best. :))). Good happy hour specials of $6 per glass wines. Fun, energetic servers - great visit!

Yelp
Having worked here for years, I can say it's amazing quality and taste. Best in town! I need to revisit soon. Missing the burgers and HH

Yelp
Getting hangry while out shopping, a quick google search from my husband and we found this spot and, boy, was it a winner. Not only was the service great and the food fresh and delicious, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner and were delighted to get a sample of their Creme brûlée French toast and maple whip cream as well as their infused bourbon. Oh. My. Goodness. Hands down, a five star lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place, owned and operated by a French chef whom never hesitates to have an ample menu, offer new things for holidays and always ensures his food is amazing and consistent. His restaurant is always clean and his people always kind, professional, and very well versed in the menu. Food is never less that completely fresh and made when you order. Enjoy

Yelp
The brunch menu and happy hour menu here is great! Our service at this location was wonderful.
google avatar

Tammie G.

Yelp
Wow! I love this place! We recently moved from Florida and have been trying to find a good brunch place and this is it! The Crème Brûlée French Toast is to die for and I'm not a big fan of French toast normally. Cary the owner came over and introduced himself to us and gave us some history of this great place which was very nice; he's got a top notch place here. Don't get me started on how yummy the mimosas are. Shaan was a very attentive waiter and offered us some awesome recommendations. This will be our go to place because they knocked it our of the park.
google avatar

Kristin G.

Yelp
Wonderful service and great menu. Loved the GF and 0% alcohol options. Had the pork belly appetizer, wagyu burger, Angus burger and truffle fries. All delicious.
google avatar

Joanna G.

Yelp
Because I'm completely hooked on the salmon bowl and it's one place I can go to get some thing super healthy and yummy that last for two meals I've decided to update my review to five stars.

Gary M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, excellent service, and great food! Best meal of our vacation. Staff was great!
google avatar

Susan P.

Yelp
Needed to find the right place for a birthday celebration, low key, good food, good cocktails. Score! They have an extensive list of craft cocktails and we we enjoyed a few. Particularly liked the apple cider mule and the old fashioned. The pork belly appetizer is a must have. Cooked perfectly, tender and crisp. It's coated with a delightful sauce but could on its own. The house half chicken was great and the kung pao brussel sprouts made me want to eat my veggies! The Texas Blue burger has the perfect combo of figspread, bacon and pickled red onions to accompany blue cheese. Desserts too are worth saving space for. The mud pie jar...well just try it.
google avatar

Marie B.

Yelp
Quality over quantity here, in a very delicious & elegant way! Wonderful choice for a spot to enjoy brunch - great for couples, a girls day out, or cocktail lovers! The menu isn't lengthy, but they do every dish and every beverage exceptionally. Everything is sourced locally and made fresh. The servers all seem to know the menu & ingredients well. My personal favorites are the flights, which offer a delightful sample on popular drinks for a good bargain. I especially love the floral flavored St. Germain Mimosa and the smoky Bourbon Bloody Mary. For a hearty plate, I recommend the Texas Hash - a great combination of ingredients with a bit of a kick. For a lighter start, the Strawberries & Chantilly Cream is delightful. And, be sure to try some of the bacon - cured in house & sliced thick! Love this place... it's one of my go-to's.

Yelp
Visited today for the 1st time. Service was slow. Waited a while before greeted and drink order but drinks came quickly. Waited a little longer then our order was taken. Food came out hot and perfect. Taste was amazing. They marry many flavors together that I wouldn't expect but did very well. Food was excellent- zero complaints. Ambiance was warm, decor well done. Service needs improvement but I blame management. They clearly did not have enough help. Our server was great however he's one person and he had too many guests. He was running the entire time. Will definitely be back.

Angel C.

Yelp
Service and food was excellent!!! We will definitely be returning soon!! The atmosphere was fun the old fashion was the best!!

Yelp
The Brisket/Breakfast Hash and Waygu Burger are amazing. Never had a bad experience in my few times visiting.

Yelp
We were in town for my son's soccer game and we found this place. I absolutely loved their burgers! They are very fresh and their service is exceltional!

Yelp
Food was good, but they didn't not have the full menu at the time I was there. Service was very good our server was very efficient and friendly.

Yelp
The burgers were great but the prices are steep. A burger will cost you $17 without fries. I guess you pay for the location and atmosphere.
