Fieldwork Brewing Company | Napa

We enjoyed this brewery so much that we popped in twice! Located in the Oxbow Public Market district in downtown Napa, it’s a perfect spot to unwind. Surrounded by Napa’s iconic vineyards, we found hops and some of the most refreshing West Coast IPAs. The outdoor seating is fantastic, offering a laid-back atmosphere to enjoy the sunshine or hide in the shade. Ordering is a breeze with their QR code system, letting you relax and focus on great conversations with friends. If you’re a fan of great brews and a lively downtown vibe, this spot is a must-visit!

Welcoming location. Katlyn was AWESOME! Some members in our group are not big beer people and she was so patient explaining the different flavors and allowing us to taste a few before placing our orders. Lovely outdoor space as well.

Beers are great. But their staff leaves a lot to be desired, especially when compared with the Corta Madera location. It’s a shame honestly because on a breezy afternoon, the outdoor area is just so enjoyable

Nice location. I have 4 of the pilsners in a flight and in general they were underdeveloped and flabby without the crispness and hop bite of a proper Pilsner. Certainly made for the mass market palate and not craft beer aficionados.

I normally visit the location near where I live in San Mateo & couldn't help it but visit this one on a business trip to Napa. Absolutely killer sours as usual, staff were incredibly cool & gave great recommendations like every other location I've been to. I really dig the decor as it fit the scenery/style of the area. Napa may be universally known for it's wine, but Fieldwork is absolutely not out of place as far as quality, service, and ambience. P.S. Try their pizzas, you won't be disappointed

Clean and friendly, customers with pets. They allow you to bring your own food. The outdoor area is open and spacious. Beers are fresh and delicious!

A long-time fan of Fieldwork, I brought family here with our friends after dinner in Napa. We arrived at 8:30pm, knowing we were only 30 minutes from closing time, but were told we could only buy cans to-go. Others were in the place enjoying their pints, but it was otherwise not busy at all...very disappointing.

Wow, a great place! Casual and very welcoming. The beers are fantastic. If you want to sit and enjoy a great beer you need to come here. We, husband and I initially had a stout and an IPA, but loved them so much we decided to each enjoy a tasting flight. A dark and a hop heavy flight (we have very different tastes)I didn't have a disappointing beer. They have great beer. No food, but you can order from the market and eat here. Please do so!! Great four in a great relaxed atmosphere. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff were. They were very helpful. If you're in Napa and need a break from wine you need to come here. An oasis for the beer lover in wine country.

I've been to several Fieldwork locations now and they are all great! This location is located near the beautiful Oxbow Market in Napa. One thing I love about this spot is the large indoor and outdoor seating areas. The beer is of course great too! I love how many non alcoholic choices they have added. So many great options! My wife enjoyed her supertonic and I enjoyed my rice lager. You can get food delivered to this location but they don't serve their own food from what I could tell, but other reviews say differently? The service is either via the front counter or you can scan a QR code to order and they'll deliver to your table. Only thing I wish is that I had a Fieldwork closer to home!

Not a huge drinker, but I found there to be a great variety of beer here. I prefer darker beer and they had lots of options in that category, which was nice. Ordering from the QR code on the table was super easy and the beer arrived just a couple minutes later. Convenient! Not cheap, but what is in the Napa Valley? Another reviewer mentioned yummy-looking pizza. I would have loved to order that, but it seems like they do not do any food anymore. Parking lot was full but we found parking on the street easily. I have no complaints, and I'd definitely be back.

I'm a big IPA fan and for me Fieldwork is the best spot in Napa. There are other local spots that I enjoy but Fieldwork is my first choice for the beer, and the PIZZA! They make the best Detroit Style Pizza in Wine Country and they are consistent. One thing that I think is key to a good dining spot is consistency. Friendly staff and centrally located I probably visit too often. Next time you want to get a beer hit me up!

Fieldworks in Napa was great! Fieldworks offer a wide variety of delicious beers. Our favorite is the juicy IPAs, so we tried several in a flight! The Future is so Bright and Mo Pulp IPAs were our favorite. The Kale Yea and Delivery Pizzas were a perfect compliment to the beer flight! The Kale Yea melted in my mouth! We had a lovely afternoon on their back patio in the sunshine. I recommend stopping in!

Excellent beer and the flight pours were generous. They don't have food anymore so that was disappointing. We had the flights and they were all excellent. Parking lot by the place was full although the place was near empty on Saturday noon. We parked a bit down the street but easy walk over. They also have beer slushies!!! I haven't tried one before so I asked for a taste and was gladly handed a small tasting of it. It was not for me but I am sure others will enjoy it Ordering is easy (via Toasttab).

Service was quick, selection was quite a lot and the vibe was fine. I tried the Pickle Lager, which was very Dilly. My daughter has a flight and she enjoyed most except one of the IPAs, which was still drinkable. Overall nice a very nice experience and day

Decided to stop in for lunch on their outdoor patio while walking around the Oxbow Market. You order at the counter and grab your beer but they'll deliver the food to your table. I believe you can also order from a QR code at the table as well. The staff was very friendly and made some pizza recommendations for us. We decided to share two of them and they were both pretty good. For being deep dish Detroit style pizza, they weren't overly dense, which we liked. The beer list is pretty decent and we enjoyed our picks. The patio was full of dogs, which seems to be the norm here. They had bowls and treats available for the dogs and there was probably close to 9 dogs on the patio.

Located next to the marketplace, this is a casual tap room with plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. The employee was super friendly and fun to interact with, and knew a lot about their products and could make recommendations. Both the beers and the root beer we bought were great! We were happy to learn. There's also a tap room in Sacramento, which is closer to us. We will definitely be visiting for more Root beer and beer! The Aloha Vibes was my personal favorite, I'm a sucker for any kind of tropical fruit!

I love Field works Brewery! I still remember the days this location was inside the Oxbow Market. The newer location is right next to it with a huge outdoor patio. They have treats and water for our furry friends outside . This location is kid and dog friendly. They have clean restrooms and a water station for us humans lol . They also have food . So the way it works is you order inside and get a table number and the food gets delivered to you . Let's talk about the food ! They offer Detroit style pizzas . Let me say amazing!! So so good the food is a must try . My boys both shared a pepperoni pizza and they loved it. I ordered the Fireball pizza it comes in white sauce so delicious. All the pizzas are 4 slices but they are huge I got full off two slices. Overall love this location I feel like when in Napa I have to stop and grab a cold beer . I love the Sacramento location also their pizzas are delicious too. The beers , vibes, food and everything is 10/10 here so stop by !!!

This is My Favorite Northern CaliFornia Brewery... These guyz Are A Monumental Treasure To The Bay... Been coming Here since the original corner spot... in the Ox bow Market place in Downtown Napa... Now the Newer Location is Around The Corner with More Room To Hangout inside and outdoors... old space was A Wrap Around of all Barstools and A little Narrow Patio seating outside. Quality and selection is Major... you can even get A Growler and refill every trip! Besides the Different Fresh Taps I remember that you could buy Tall boy cans To go... Nice to see Some Familiar Faces still Working Here ... This is the Spot Before and After You Hit Hog island oysters... Yeee. Service is Always great and genuine ... Flavor's Are all different, depending by what you order some Floral/citrus... You get Some Hoppy beers... stout's and porters... i Advise you to Always get A Flight so you can sip And Savor! Staff and Beer is always on point and amazing! Citra PULP 6.9% IPA is always my go to. Great inside outside dine in. Beers to go. They have pizza pretzels or u can bring outside food ok. Firepit outside is great too

Quality/Quantity - My daughter's favorite brewery in San Leandro, CA. Decent selection here, not as large as the location in SL. Triumph & Tragedy - My favorite red with this brand. Morning Time - A hint of coffee, my guest loved this and wanted two glasses, but we ran out of time and had to leave for our winery appointment. Do you have food here? I saw a sign that also said that we can bring our own food? See picture. Atmosphere - Cool decor. Convenient location, plenty of street parking. Open 7 days a week. One unisex restroom, but more in the mall/market. Service - 5 stars, friendly team. Our guest drinks dark beers, and they offered to have him sample all 2-3 choices. Price - $16 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2014 with your 8 locations (soon to be 9) and growing. See you again soon.

So much fun!! I didn't think I liked beer until I tried their dark beers! My husband and nephew, and I came in and shared a six taster...What a fun little thing to do in Napa besides wine tasting! My nephew, loved it as well! Grant was awesome and so friendly and hospitable! We sat inside on a comfy leather couch, but next time, maybe we'll sit outside in their cute courtyard!

Even in the winter months they have a great selection of sours and one of the best goses I've ever had! Detroit style pizza is worthy of the designation and it's all brought together by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great place to gather around the fire pit and enjoy a pint or three.

In my opinion, if you go somewhere more than three times you should know everyone's name so we have Danial Brett Duncan Jolene Vivian, Natalie Kevin Grant. Hope I didn't leave anyone out. You guys are the best.

Came for an event. Staff was nice, drinks were great, patio was a great space. Chill vibes and great location. Would go back again.

We had the hoppy flights and it may just have been our tastes but we just didn't care for the warmth of the beer, and felt they were very flat and watery tasting. Will definitely stop by another time and try some different varieties.

Perfect chill place to grab a drink that has outdoor seating and is dog friendly. I'm already a fan of their beer, so it wasn't a hard sell to give it a try. Their location is m right by the Oxbow. They have plenty of seating, so I didn't have to worry about my dog getting stepped on. I will be back for sure.

First brewery I've been to that wasn't ok with offering a taster before committing to a beer. At first I thought I just got a grumpy bartender but it happened twice...

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Fieldworks! The atmosphere was great, the flights tasted well, and the food was delicious! We made two of our own flights with a little bit of everything and loved them, especially the larger than usual pours! We also got the Kale Yea! Detroit-Style Pizza and it was a great compliment as well. Sat outside and it was very roomy and comfortable. Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

This is in downtown Napa, and is an easy walk to some of the other businesses downtown. Plenty of street parking. The beer wasn't quite to my taste. However, the Detroit style pizza was good, which is saying something since I am a native to the Metro Detroit area and have tried Detroit style pizza recently in California that didn't quite meet the standards of that crispy crust.

Been to the one in Berkeley before so excited to check out this location. First time coming here on a Sunday evening and was surprised that it was packed, but wasn't surprised after tasting the beer again. Great flavors and a huge variety of options - loved everything we got and would have stayed for more if we didn't have to drive back to the city. REALLY loved the Rainbow Parfait sour ale - sweet, flavorful, and not too tart. Beautiful flight tastings and they allow you to bring in outside food provides you with a chill and hangout type of vibe. Great to just relax with friends or take a date to get to know them. Also think it's great they have some home-brewed sodas for those that are not beer drinkers to check out. Definitely check them out if you are in the area as it'll be one of my go-to spots for that part of Napa!

You know we had to come here on husband's birthday given it's his favorite craft brewery! It was a Sunday afternoon and it was quiet which was perfect when you waited hours to eat brunch at La Cheve and have a baby with you. The most magical thing happened in that they were playing J Dilla and other hip hop instrumentals. My husband thought I asked them to put it on for him to honor his bday and I almost wanted to take the credit but refrained. We could easily have stayed here for hours and done custom flights to taste each on tap but we have a baby now and have to practice restraint. You best believe we took some home. This time, the Abigail was my fave!

Came here for the first time on Saturday evening, cool family and pet friendly spot! The ambience is laid back, you order your beer of choice at the bar and seat yourself. They have a variety of table sizes indoors and outdoors, the decor is very earthy -- I especially loved all the hanging plants. They offer a variety of beer, I really enjoyed their sours! They only have one bathroom, which is quite inconvenient and it was a tad dirty. Overall, the service was friendly and beer was yummy I'd come back again!

Fieldwork is one of the best breweries around, this brewery is conveniently located right next to the Oxbow Market Place. Their beers are masterful, unique and full of flavor. The staff is friendly and give great recommendations. They offer a variety of foods like pizza, shishito peppers, salads and pretzels or you can even bring outside food in from surrounding restaurants! The patio is large with plenty of seating & has a large fire pit for when the nights get cool. The indoor area has a fun wooden forest pub feel. Whether you're grabbing a pint, a tasting flight or taking some beer home, fieldwork will surely become your favorite spot!

Nice and simple brewery! The workers were polite and the brews were good. The flight is HUGE! I was very happy to see how large the portions were. The ambiance was relaxed, with some music playing by The Cure. I'd definitely recommend this brewery to those that like simple beers and more of a chill setting. It was nice to not have wine for once lol

I love how you can customize your own flight ($3 taster) and they pour your a lot too! Staff were pretty friendly and it's a great place to chill and enjoy those ! I kinda wish they had more options for appetizers or snacks... It was quite limited...

The beer is very good here, especially if you like IPAs. I recommend the flights they offer, which have heavy pours. There are bits to eat you can order, also. It was awesome to see a solid brewery among so many wineries in Napa!

My husband and I decided once a week we wanted to try out a new brewery in our area. We found this one online, decided to try it out. We ordered two of there most popular flights of beer to try, ordered the DELIVERY BOY PIZZA- tomato sauce, pepperoni, castelvetrano olives, jalapeños, onion and a crispy cheese crust to share, it was really good, paired very well with all the beer. It's a small and cozy place, they have a nice size outdoor area. Service was good, staff were friendly.

Really cool and surprisingly quiet outdoor patio to help produce an awesome vibe. BYOF as well is great! Friendly staff too as they provided some plasticware for our food as the delivery didn't come with any. My wife and I both got flights. The flights are pretty hefty pours - not the typical 4 oz pours you might expect, think these were like 6 oz pours or something. So by the time I finished the tasters, I was done. But I was just so pleased to see a brewery that wasn't IPA after IPA. There were four or five belgian options, a pair of stouts, and some nice lagers too. Yes, they had those damn IPAs too, but I obviously avoided them. Would definitely return, thanks!

Horrible service! We ordered 2 pizzas and were told it would be 30 minutes. After 60 minutes I tried to ask a server who ignored me like I didn't exist. Talked to the manager who went into the kitchen and found out my order had, "been delivered." If we wanted to wait another HOUR he would be happy to reorder. What a clown show of a restaurant.....

I literally walked in for 15-minutes (from Lovies) to help finish a pour that my daughter could not finish. I'm glad I did! The Rainbow Parfait was rainbow delicious! To top it off, I got to meet these three fine friendly gentlemen at the bar while my daughter was saying goodbye. I'll definitely come back when I'm in town. The interior was nice, very clean, and well branded...a modern beer brewery tasting room.

We had one of their sour beers on a Friday night and had to come find the closest location to us. Fantastic beer, pretty darn good bar, snacks, and a great ambience. Great for dogs and people that like the taste of delicious beers!!

One of my favorite breweries! Happened to be in Napa and went to this location for the first time. There was plenty of seating inside as well as outside, and the outdoor seating had misters to keep people cool (it was hot today). Just like other locations I have been to, the staff are really nice. I got their Pulp IPA which is really refreshing and not really hoppy like other IPAs. It's more juicy and citrusy like the name implies. Definitely check out Fieldwork if you're ever near a location!

Forget that Napa is known for its wine for one day. Take a break from the never ending wine tasting and have a craft beer -- you know you want it. Great selection of beers and expert advice at Fieldwork. I had a Belgian style beer (Hannah, 8.6%) generously poured. If they had served Belgian fries with mayonnaise, I'd have to sell my house and move nearby.

Would you believe you can find some of the best pizza here. Coming from an amazing staff. I love hanging out here after work for a couple beers. They have a lot of NA options as well.

One of my favorite brewery! We came Saturday night about an hour to closing. It wasn't busy at that point. Beertender was nice to let us sample before we ordered pints. It was last call so we had to put in all our orders. The Sour cherry parfait fruited sour ale was really good. We liked the Hot Chocolate export milk stout. You can't go wrong with their hazies. I believe we had Juicy Mane and Imaginator or Pulp. They have outdoor and indoor seating.

The place is nice and busy beer is good but the service is bad they would it sell a flight to me but they would sell to next person, they really selective who they are selling what too. Just really bad experience would not recommend to anyone else.

We came on the wettest day of 2022! Lol but it was fun and they had some games and entertainment for the kiddos. We sat outside and enjoyed the rain while we tasted a number of beers. Becky the Duck was a hit. Hazy train, Mo Pulp, King Citra were so good too!! Watermelon sour was really good with the salt flavor. The only one I didn't like was Amazing dragons? papaya pineapple NO!!!! Hated it. Sofya the Belgian was ok Timing and Structure was nice for a Pilsner. We plan to be back. Thanks.

Finally Fieldworks Napa has Pizza now but super disappointed. Other Fieldworks pizza has a round pizza for $22. But this one 4 slices for $22! SMH! Love the beer but not to Food/Appetizers that they're serving!

Great beers- love their IPAs and sours. They have suggested flights or you can create your own. Nice space - indoors is not too big but nicely decorated. The outdoor space has some long picnic tables, some heat lamps, and a fire pit. They also have a good selection of cans to take away.

Good beer for the thirsty! If you are visiting Napa you are likely to end up visiting the Oxbow Public Market in Downtown Napa. Fieldwork's Napa Taproom is in the Oxbow Public Market. Their Napa Taproom offers an ever-changing tap list of beers that you may not see in too many other places. I am not a fan of sour beer, but they do have good options here. I personally enjoy their IPAs and Pilsners. Their light beer option is my favorite because I can enjoy two or three glasses on a warm day without getting too buzzed! Their IPAs, or at least the ones that I have tried, are great too! But man, they are potent! Make sure you are not driving if you have a few! They also offer beer "to go" in 16 oz cans and 32 oz Crowlers which is great if you find a flavor you love, because it may not be there the next time you visit! I suggest you grab some food at one of the Oxbow's Market establishments and down it with one of their delicious beers. On a nice day, sitting outside on the balcony is highly recommended!

This Fieldwork taproom is located in Oxbow Public Market. We tried the Faded Lanterns and Future Flagship. We couldn't taste that much of a difference between the two, but they were both very good! Service was good! Beer was good with a lot of options to choose from!

I went at noon on a Sunday. We were quickly seated outside (indoor seating restricted due to Covid) and were comfortably spaced away from others. We opted to do the flight as they had so many options. We were given a pad of papers to choose our flights and we asked not to have a menu so we could just look at it on our phones. The waiter and waitress were super nice and checked on us a good amount of times (not too little, not too much) despite us being seated so far from their entrance. I LOVE their funny names and ended up taking a can of "Destroyer of Galaxies" home. They unfortunately were out of cans of the Solsbury Pils that I wanted but the waitress was knowledgeable enough to make other suggestions of similar beers. The artwork on their cans is also beautiful and would make a great gift. We ordered different 4 cans to make it a 4 pack and get a better deal. We ordered flights of 6. The two couples I was with shared a flight each while I had my own flight. Know that they pour heavy for flights! Great value. My only qualm was that my beers started getting warm but that's the fault of me drinking too slow and outdoor dining with beautiful weather. They're in a great location at the end of Oxbow and had no problem with us bringing food from elsewhere while sipping their beers. Overall, would definitely return to try more!
