Fiesta Mexicana

Been going here for past few years food is good. I am biased because I used to live in the southwest but for CT it is good. Margaritas always loaded and good, salsa good, chips most time warm not stale, pozole is usually good. Service can be sparse at times but they try. My only complaint is they use regular corn store taco shells instead of frying their own on site, that's a snobby new Mexico thing. My usual is carne Asada soft tacos, and patron grande margaritas. Definitely will go back.

Delicious over priced Mexican food with meh flavor, but the service was amazing, very clean and festive. I do recommend the freshly made right before your eyes guacamole. The drinks are delicious as well. You get chips and salsa before your meals, very good.

I have a gluten allergy, and they can accommodate! Great place, labled menu with many options. WARNING: no dedicated fryer so you CANNOT HAVE THE TABLE CHIPS. I asked and everything. Had their tacos - just fantastic.

Atmosphere is the nicest part of the place. I've tried this place a few times, and I unfortunately left disappointed again today. The waitress had to be asked to take our order, then she never came back to see how our food was or offer water refills, let alone offer another alcoholic beverage. Also had to ask for our check and boxes. My food came with cheese, even though I requested to the server that I needed it without, since I have a dairy allergy- they did remake it, but it only took a couple of minutes which seemed suspicious... then I found there was still melted cheese on the plate, after I had eaten some; now I'll be having issues thanks to their neglect. Food was bland too.

Good vegetarian options. Portions are generous and food was pretty tasty. The House Margarita was very strong. Kids meals portions are good size for plenty of leftovers. Guacamole wasn’t anything particularly special, very bland and not spicy at all despite us asking for it to be on the spicier side. Huevos Rancheros were pretty good. Probably the best part of the meal was the habañero salsa, but you have to ask for that. The chocolate molten lava cake with ice cream was delicious. Service was pretty good.

Food was good but not outstanding. They do things different with the food. Carnitas come with a sauce on it. Has a very heavy citrus and maybe cinnamon flavor. Not bad just not what I expected. Chips are unlimited and the margaritas were good. My husband enjoyed his enchiladas. I would try it again.

Tried this place out with two other people. All of our food was super tasty and priced decently service was great untill we got our food. our waitress disappeared (would have liked more chips and drinks topped up). had to wait 10-15minutes after we had finished eating to get the check.overall good experience.

Went for a much-needed girl's night last night. The service was amazing! Our waiter was so attentive and friendly. Brought our drinks out so fast! Filled up our chip basket too. We never really had to ask for anything because he was so great. We started off with queso and table-side guacamole. Queso was good, but the guacamole was amazing. I got in the car and told my husband about it immediately. We are definitely coming back just for that. Drinks were good, but I think the bartender had a light hand. I had two and I didn't feel a buzz, which is unusual for me. I'm a lightweight lol. I ordered the 3 enchiladas, one beef, one cheese, one chicken. It was good, not great. But don't overlook this restaurant, come at least for the table-side guacamole! It will change your life.

Very basic Mexican fare I've sworn I've written a review for this place. Eh, all well. I use this place as a barometer for Mexican food. What you get here is the bare bones stock version of Mexican cuisine. Not bad, but usually with lots of cut corners and inferior quality dishes. It's not that they don't try. They do season their microwaved rice and doctor up their cans of refried beans to bring some flavor to the mix. Their chips are warmed and their salsa has some extra spice added in. It's the type of Mexican cuisine suitable for the older generation. Not offensive, basic flavors and comfortable. The price point reflects this, and it's relatively affordable for what you get. This isn't a place I go to expecting great food. This place I go to for that one step above a fast food taco place, and it meets those expectations. If you need a place to take a family to, or you have parents and want to get them something they can handle spice wise, then this place works.

I sat outside for lunch. The temperature was not too hot 73°. I found that their food wasn't properly seasoned. Everything needed salt and pepper. I do not usually have to season Mexican food. The soup was bland, as well as the black beans and spanish rice. I tried to keep eating, but I left much behind. The outdoor patio is very pretty though.

A few business associates suggested we stop here for a few beers, appetizers and dinner - the four of us found seating at the bar, we arrived just after 5:00 PM so the place was mostly empty, we were immediately greeted by the friendly bartender simultaneously a second server delivered two baskets of chips and salsa. I was eyeballing the draft beer selection and was happy to see they had both Amber and Lager Dos Equis so I ordered a grande 22 oz in a chilled mug of the Amber variety. We decided to order a few appetizers to start - lettuce wraps, stuffed jalapeños and chicken flautas (crispy fried roll tacos) all arrived quickly and hot from the kitchen they were just okay in my opinion but everyone seemed to be okay with them and the drinking continued. After a number of beers we decided to look at the menu again and order dinner - it looks like all of us wanted some type of burrito (these were recommended) - I ordered a carne asada burrito it came super wet filled with rice and beans and a minimum portion of steak, honest it was just okay I deconstructed it and picked out the steak, I wrote it off that I ordered badly. I will say the chips and salsa were very good, I would come back for beers and the chips and the excellent customer service...

In the beginning there was Tacorral on Broad st in Manchester CT. I grew up on their Tex Mex offerings and was a huge fan until they vanished many years ago. And ever since those days long ago I have searched for decent TEXMEX cuisine. Do you have a crunchy taco? Not just the floppy limp ones? Check. That's a good thing, cus theres a place in Glastonbury thats constantly packed and the only taco you can get is a limp shell that has salmon in it, or some pork belly or something. Noooo! Too fancy for me! But that's the way it works south of the border. A true Mexican will mock your crunchy Ortega taco shell and tell you to go back to New england with your blasphemy! Ok, I get it. I just seek simplicity, a decent green tomatillos sauce for my enchilada for example, maybe tortilla chips that aint stale with a spicy enough salsa to give em some zing. Not too much to ask, but I've found so many places that cant handle the basics of simple Tex-mex fair. Tomato's in my taco? Yes! Fiesta Mexicana can handle it. Plenty of booths to sit in, and has a bar section if you need to be closer to the booze while you listen to fiesta music. The food is good, it comes out fast on a really hot plate, and the crew is friendly and efficient. I'll go back and explore the menu further.

I've been here a few times. The food is pretty good overall. Nothing amazing over-the-top and nothing terrible. Not really somewhere I would drive out of the way for, but if you live in the neighborhood, definitely a decent Mexican restaurant. The biggest complaint I had was the two margaritas we bought. It literally tasted like water. There was no alcohol at all in it to the point where me and my wife were questioning it if this was a virgin margarita or not. I would've gave this restaurant a four had the drinks been decent? If I do go back here, I won't be ordering any alcoholic drinks unless it's beer.

My MIL was a Spanish teacher for many years and loves her Mexican food. We went to fiesta Mexicana for dinner on a Sunday. It was very busy for the time of day both in the dining room and the bar. The decor is very Mexican traditional. Lots of Talavera And Mexican decorations. I have a gluten allergy so I ordered enchiladas. My mother-in-law ordered shrimp enchiladas. Both were very good and we had enough to bring home leftovers. We ordered dessert, flan for both of us. The flan is gluten-free and was very tasty and creamy. Excellent. My mother-in-law ordered a strawberry margarita, not frozen. She said it was excellent. I ordered dinners to go for my kids. Carne Asada and chicken quesadillas. Both were good, but they forgot the tortillas on the Carne Asada so I have to take a star away for that. I do recommend fiesta Mexicana. Authentic Mexican food and drink. At reasonable prices.

It's been hit or miss. Some days great food. Others not so good. Wait staff in attentive unless you are buying lots of drinks. Used to be excellent. All seem to be fading in it's luster.

No complaints. Called in for a reservation of a party of 7, few days before, and my table was ready. They sat us before a few of our guests arrived which was nice because some places don't hold for you unless the whole party is there. Can't go wrong with the drinks the frozen Mexican margarita was perfect and the large house margarita for $10 is plenty. The food is your typical Mexican food with huge portions. I like the attention we received they made sure our waters were topped off and everything was going good without over doing it. The only slight issue I had was it was kinda cold in there and that's coming from someone who's house is at a solid 65 degrees, I don't know if it was an off day but it was unpleasantly cold.

Regular customer at this restaurant. Was very disappointed in the service along with food. We were seated and waited a bit for server to come over. We ordered drinks and them sat for a while longer. Drinks arrived and then we ordered food which was clearly not up to par. The chorizo along with the Taco Birria and the ground beef had no flavor at all. We asked for extra salsa for the chips and were told there would be an extra charge. In the 10 years we have been going there we have never had a bad experience. The portions were much smaller than normal as well. Looks like we will be giving this place a break for a bit.

Bright atmosphere. Great having an outdoor option for nice weather. Love the Seafood chimichanga. Service was fast and upbeat.

My husband and I decided to try this spot just because. We were promptly greeted and had a table right away. His place has great fast service and everyone was attentive of our needs. If you're looking for a place to feed a family, this is the spot for you. We ordered fajitas for 2 but honestly it can feed a family of 4. You do have the option of getting corn tortillas vs flour. We got both since I prefer corn verses flour. We ordered the live guacamole and it was delicious! So fresh and love the cilantro pieces I got. I have no complaints. It's good food reasonably priced.

Excellent fresh guacamole. The carne asada tacos were filled with meat, cilantro, and onion. It could have come with a lime and next time we will ask. Service was top notch. Quick with filling our bowls of chips and taking out orders. We will definitely come back. Our only complaint was that it was extremely hot in the restaurant.

It was good was scalding hot but very tasty. Their tortilla chips are just okay, no salt in them and even though they are supposedly "freshly made"-I felt they were a bit stale. The salsa with it has no real flavor, I like mine a bit chunky as well. Overall we would go back for other dishes for lunch or dinner.

Fiesta Mexicana is a great spot for dinner! I went on a Friday evening around 8 pm and there was a wait for my party of 2 but we were able to sit in the bar area. The service was great, all the food came really fast and we were checked in on often. Our drinks were great, my flavor margarita with mango was one of the best margaritas I've ever had. Our combo fajita was really good, it was a good portion of food for the two of us and we had a lot of leftovers. The free salsa and chips at the beginning are also good.

Quantity, not quality. Rice and beans mushy.... Dry and tasteless!!! Chicken fajit... loaded with cheese.... Very little chicken!!!!!

I've eaten at Fiesta Mexicana a bunch of times and genuinely enjoyed the experience each time. It has the feel of a classic, family owned local place: It's clean, brightly decorated, with friendly, efficient service and good food at reasonable prices. The staff are attentive, you can get fresh made guacamole right at your table, and their margaritas are pretty good too. I usually get the fajitas. My friends have had chicken mole, huevos rancheros and some combos, too. All good. There are booths but they can handle larger groups (6-10) easily by combining tables. I'll be back, for sure. It is close to the highway and the local rail trail.

This place is consistently good and offers tasty menu selections. I am a huge fan of the chicken quesadillas, guacamole, and fajitas. Ingredients are always fresh. This is, by far, the best Mexican establishment in the area.

Great Mexican food! A bit pricier than I imagined but I think it's worth it. I grew up having a good amount of authentic Mexican food so I think I might be a bit pickier than most, but I'd recommend this spot for its colorful, lively atmosphere and good service

Service was good and feels like regular mexican place! Queso was good and thick, Margs were only on the rocks but not an issue, and the food was so good! Waiters were nice and quick!

The food was amazing, the service was very friendly, and the vibe have Mexican culture spread all across the restaurant. This place is one of my favorite restaurants and a key memory for years of delicious food and a great experience. I would recommend this place!

So good! Craving Mexican food after work today, but wanted to try something new. I was in the area, and this place got good reviews so we stopped in. We were greeted and sat immediately, the waitress came over and had water chips and salsa ready for us. She was so kind, very friendly, very attentive, but not too much where we felt like she was hovering. We started with the chips and salsa as I said. The chips were fresh, crunchy, and had the right amount of salt on them. I wish the salsa was a little bit spicier because there's definitely wasn't any heat to it but it was still tasty. We ordered the stuffed jalapeño peppers, pretty sure they were frozen as the texture of the cream cheese left a little to be desired, but they were still good. Honestly, felt like it was something I could've bought from the frozen section in the store. The raspberry margarita I ordered was delicious , I ordered it on the rocks and with sugar on the rim, and it was just the right amount of sugar and the right amount of ice. I couldn't make up my mind on the enchiladas, so I went with the mix, the shredded beef with the Verde sauce was beyond what I was hoping for. It was absolutely delicious. The white chicken enchilada was really good but definitely cheesy. I wasn't a huge fan of the shredded beef and red sauce so I am going to give that to my husband. Really great. This is going to be our new spot!

When it first opened this place had great food and service. Not it's good service and very average food. Still a fine place for some cold beer and average food.

This is place is your average Mexican place to go out with families. They can seat a large group which is always great. We recently dined out and I really enjoyed the margaritas. I had the skinny coconut marg (large) and it was good! I've had better coconut margs but I was honestly surprised they had it on the menu. The other flavored frozen margs were just alright. I like how they do swirl though, and I'd try that next time. Now for the food, we started with table side guac. It was good. I wasn't a huge fan of their salsa, but the chips were hot. For a main, I had the enchiladas verde & they were good, just your classic enchiladas. My boyfriend got the taco salad and was not impressed. In fact he didn't want to finish it which is SO out of character. We had great service nonetheless! I've heard the fajitas are great, so in the future i would try that.

Service was nice. The ambiance was up beat. But the food was not good. Chimichanga was just a burrito with only mean in it... it wasn't fried. I would have just ordered a burrito if I knew. The food was also tasteless. But maybe it was just my meal ‍

Just moved to the area, and was really excited to find a place close by that had tasty and healthy offerings. We ordered three different sandwiches, and everyone was pleased. Mine was the roast beef chimichurri - little spicy and delicious! Will definitely be ordering from again.

We dined here for hubby's birthday with his parents. This was their first time dining here, although they've had take-out before. The vibe here is nice & it's fun for everyone! The bar has seating beyond the dining room. Their drinks are so good! Service is great always. Chips & salsa are brought to the table right after you are seated. They typically serve a medium salsa but you can request mild as we did. The medium is somewhat chunky while the mild is not but has a great tangy flavor. Both are good. The menu has plenty of options. We've tried several entrees and enjoyed every one of them. This time around I ordered the Tacos de Camaron (shrimp tacos) as did my MIL. The shrimp is similar to a Mexican shrimp scampi. We both enjoyed our entrees & couldn't finish everything. Seafood is fresh and the sauce served on the side is delicious. Hubby ordered his favorite seafood chimichanga smothered in a fantastic cheese sauce. And believe me, I'm a cheese sauce fanatic! My FIL ordered enchiladas Mexicanas and barely spoke while he ate. Hehehe Needless to say, he was very pleased! The rice & beans served here are very good. They make the best refried beans IMO. Service is very good here and the food is consistently good.

Firstly, one of the BEST Authentic Mexican food place in Hartford County! Outaide: Such a welcoming atmosphere and well maintained. Parking lot is as free of debris and easy to go in and out of. Inside: The hostess is friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was knowledgeable on the product information as always. We have the opportunity to be served by many of the waitresses here and have never had a bad experience! It is always amazing how much the waitresses can carry! Their all happy to be at work and it is evident in their character. Food is phenomenal! Good quality and portion for the price!

Excellent customer service. I have ordered here a few times and the food is always delicious. Love the chicken enchiladas! Could use a bit more spice though but I'm Puerto Rican so that could be why! Also love that they are Mexican owned!!

The place was recommended to us by a friend. The service was way too fast. We were in and out in about 60 minutes. The food was delivered before we even finished 1/3 of our pre-meal drink. The food was so so. I had the chick mole. The chick was pre-cooked tough and stringy. The mole sauce was an added after thought and very tasteless. I would put this one rung above Taco Bell only because they sell drinks!

We (party of 4) came in mid-afternoon. The restaurant was mostly empty, just a couple other tables were sat. It took an hour for our food to come out, and all the server could say was "we're busy and only have one cook." That would be understandable, if they were busy, and if they didn't have a semi-open kitchen which I could see into, and notice that the cook wasn't doing a whole lot. The food was OK. Not terrible (except the refried beans were disgusting. Taco bell has better beans) but nothing great either. I would eat the food again, if I didn't have to wait so long and deal with a rude server. But, considering the whole package, I will be dining elsewhere.

Finally after all the times coming here we didn't get burnt nachos. Food tasted better. Waiter was nice. But the female who brought the food out needs a lesson in not being abrupt. She put the food out of eating reach and said hot plate. Then threw extra napkins across the table.

The best way I can describe Fiesta Mexicana is if you compare it to Mexicali in Manchester, it's the equivalent of microwaving a frozen dinner. Pros: Service was prompt, wait time was short. The restaurant was packed and our table was ready in 3 minutes. Cons: Food was lukewarm but the plate was burning hot. The jalapeño poppers were delicious, but the quality and lack of flavor in the entrees was dissatisfying . The chimichangas looked like a lightly toasted burrito, rather than fried. The refried beans were overly liquified. The enchiladas were plated well, but lacked flavor. I ate half of my plate and the server took it off the table with no questions asked, which tells me it might be a regular occurrence.

As close to authentic Mexican food from New England. Guacamole made at the table is excellent. Never have had a bad meal...eat in or take out. A great addition to Vernon.

Staff is always friendly and the food is good. Even on a busy day we've never really waited to be sat. We will continue to come here!

Been there twice now with a few coworkers. 5 to be exact. The wait staff is awesome and the service Is great. We called ahead each time and we all order a lot of food. The order was correct each time and the food was phenomenal. We've had almost everything on the menu already. The queso fundido is yummy and perfectly cheesy. The guacamole is whipped up right at the table so it's very fresh and made the way you want. We wanted extra cilantro and they easily accommodated us. The only thing I didn't like was the tortilla soup it was a little salty. But the chimichanga, burritos, carne asada, jalapeño poppers, releno, chips and salsa, margharitas and enchiladas are all delicious. We'll be back for sure!

Based on a coworkers recommendation is how I came down to Fiesta Mexicana. Very spacious restaurant with plenty of seating, we got seated right away when we visited on a Saturday evening. Good choices of margaritas and my favorite is the Jalapeño margarita. The food was ok and nothing exceptional that excited me. Good and friendly staff too. I will definitely be back to enjoy some more good margaritas.

This is literally my favorite restaurant in vernon. Food is always great. The drinks are phenomenal (skinny coconut margaritas) and the waitress/bartender is super friendly and remembers me every time i go in. So sweet and talkative.

I heard such good things about this place. I was excited to try somewhere new. Atmosphere:. Clean, colorful but not tacky. Service:. The hostess were nice and went of their way to place us in a secluded table as requested. Our server however, well let's say she was not as friendly or attentive. She dropped off our water real fast and then it took her forever to ask for drinks and guacamole. No I know that covid has made every restaurant a little slower but my goodness. Since we're on the topic of guacamole, I paid a good amount of money to have it mixed in front of us and she did it in some corner. Disappointed. Later I asked a server what is the best chimichanga. She told me her favorite and her least favorite. Ok I decided to pick another chimichanga based on what my friend was having. The server failed to tell me that my custom chimichanga was $5 more. I would have opted for something else. I only noticed it when I got the bill. That came super fast. If you're going to charge somebody you should inform them so they can make the decision. That wasn't cool. Food & Beverages I did not like the chimichanga. Perhaps I'm not used to eating chimichangas with just meat inside. It was just meat wrapped up topped with a huge amount of sour cream, raw onions, and guacamole. There was a side of rice and beans that were tasty but I have had better. I was underwhelmed. Drinks:. Really tasty but really weak. I'm a lightweight and I didn't get a little bit of a buzz. Based on previous reviews everything tastes great at this restaurant. Perhaps that's why I was disappointed. I had really high hopes. I'm not sure if I would head back again. . If I do I'll put a new review.

The dessert dulce fiesta is the thing which I liked the most here. It had a flan, 1 scoop vanilla ice cream, 1 scoop chocolate ice cream and 3 piece of sopapilla. Carne asada taco was the biggest dissapointment. Meat was dry and the taco didn't have much flavors. Chimichanga was a good. Chicken lettuce wrap was just ok.
