I was recommended this spot by a good friend of mine who had a lot of good to say about it, so I was definitely interested. The big draw about this burger spot is that their burger patties are 50% beef & 50% bacon, hence the "fifty-fifty" name.
The restaurant is located in a shared space with another building, so make sure to go to the back to find it. Service was quick & easy, as I just picked up my food with no issues.
I made a DoorDash order for pickup and got the BOGO FREE (DoorDash deal) fifty fifty build-your-own $15.33, the Belgian bird $15.19, and the Old Bay fries $5.90.
- The FIFTY-FIFTY (BUILD YOUR OWN) was an underwhelming experience for me. I like how you can taste the 50% bacon portion of the patty, but besides that, the burger itself is passable, as alright. For some reason, my burger was soggy and wet, which was disappointing. I think it's a solid option for a fast food burger, but it's nothing impressive or noteworthy.
- The BELGIAN BIRD doesn't necessarily look very impressive in person, but I was surprised that it ended up exceeding my expectations and becoming my favorite item. The chicken patty isn't anything special, but the waffle & ingredients deliver sweet & hot flavors that pair nicely together. I don't know if the waffle was infused with syrup while also being sprinkled lightly with sugar, but it didn't even need syrup to be good, which is a great thing. This was decent, a 7.4/10 rating.
- The OLD BAY FRIES were slightly above average. They have some Old Bay seasoning on them, which is different, but the texture and taste of the fries weren't crispy or fresh to me.
- I had three of the sauces and ranked best to worst would be: fifty-fifty sauce, bourbon molasses, and BBQ sauce. Wasn't a fan of their BBQ sauce, but the other 2 were solid choices.
Overall, I'd grade it as a fast-food spot with a bit more expensive prices. I think it's solid for a quick bite, but it's nothing impressive to me or noteworthy for me to come back, but that's just me.
