10 New Black-Owned Restaurants In Chicago - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Fifty-One 50 Fusion is a new soul food restaurant in Auburn Gresham. Their long menu has an eclectic mix of dishes like chicken with red velvet waffles, cilantro lime catfish, Cajun chicken pasta, and Italian beef egg rolls. They have a secluded dining room (it’s hidden behind a closed door that the owner will unlock for you) but we actually like this place for carryout. The egg rolls and chicken wings stay crispy all the way home, and we’re firm believers that they taste better if you eat them in sweatpants on your couch." - adrian kane, john ringor

I ordered the veggie burger which was amazing. I had to look it over to make sure it wasn't beef, it wasn't. I enjoyed my meal. I look forward to trying out more from there. The Zevia was from me. I also got cookies from there also and it wasn't just 2 or three. 😋 Those didn't make the photo.

This place is one of the reasons black owned businesses fail. 2 egg rolls for $10 and they barely have chicken in them. I only want to spend black but places like this make it hard. Fifty-one 50 you can do better. Please do Better.

Food is delicious fusion bowl buffalo egg rolls delicious. Chicken delicious but a bit pricey.. Customer service needs to be improved food is fresh but shouldn't take 1 hour. I asked for compensation with a drink and the owner never responded.. After finding out food was complete realized order was wrong and had to wait some more. But Overall food experience is nice but call 📞 ahead.

The food has great flavor. The staff was kind when I ordered at the location on 73rd and Ashland. However, I have ordered Uber Eats from them and EACH time they get my order wrong. It is very disappointing when a person cannot enjoy their meal because it was incorrectly prepared or because I was given the wrong item. - A Disappointed Customer 😞

I had the fried catfish. It was good. Just to much pepper on it. And it took to long to get. So if the food is made fresh that good but it was over seasoned an if fresh food should not take a hour to receive
