Just skip this place. Their online brunch menu says they have $3 mimosas but we never saw that in the restaurant. I got the Big Fig which was $13.50 on their menu on their website but it was $16.50 in person. The bacon and potatoes were supposed to be "cajun" but did not have ANY seasoning on them. My friend did not like the egg whites and the $6 side avocado is just pitiful. This is the type of place that brings you sauce in little cups and it's never enough... They say their system can't split bills by items, only in half. So we paid on one check. Then see there is a convenience fee of 3%. For what? Nothing about this is convenient?? And if it was because I paid with a card we were not told and there are not signs about it. Our waitress was okay. Forgot some things, could have come back to check sooner, didn't explain some things, whatever. And the suggested tips are 20, 22, and 24% 🤣

Experience was great! Food was solid and our server Zachary was very delightful. We will definitely be coming back.

Google
Enjoyable experience. Menu is diverse, from fried chicken to pierogis. The latter was tasty, but the chicken it came with was dry and unseasoned. My drink was also disappointing - watery and only half full. Service was great, our server was attentive and friendly. Warm atmosphere as well. Would recommend giving this place a try.

Google
Fig Charlottesville is the kind of place that makes you say “wow” before you even sit down. The vibe is cozy-cool, the staff treats you like an old friend, and the food? Utterly crave-worthy. Every dish tastes like the chef sprinkled a little magic on it. If you’re in Charlottesville and not eating at Fig, you’re seriously missing out. Go once and you’ll immediately start planning your next visit! We will see you in December.

Google
Brunch at Fig Bistro & Bar in Charlottesville isn’t complete without the Figmosa—their bold take on the classic mimosa. Blending sparkling wine, fig juice, and a splash of vodka, it’s a smooth, flavorful upgrade that pairs perfectly with dishes like chicken & waffles or bacon chocolate chip pancakes. Served weekends from 9:30 AM to 2 PM, Fig is a must-visit for a brunch that’s both comforting and elevated.

Google
Food was good l. Service was good. Restaurant is a bit on the small side with limited seating. Enjoyed my meal and service.

Google
Super cute brunch spot with a great vibe. Highly recommend making a reservation since there was a constant flow of people coming in waiting for tables and it’s a relatively small space. Food was great and well made, i only gave 4 stars since there wasn’t a huge variety of brunch cocktails and there weren’t any omelette dishes. The food they did have was pretty good, though! Plus the service was outstanding and that’s really what matters the most.

Google
Visited Fig for the first time. The hostess, Simona, went above and beyond to help us find the right table to cater to our puppy. Our server, Leyla, was so patient and sweet as our large group took forever to decide on orders. Josie was also a sweetheart and helped explain the items further. What a great group of waitresses/hostess- Will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
We visited for the first time on Sunday @ 9:30. We were the first ones there, but as we were leaving the place had filled up to half full. Service and food quality are excellent. Prices are on par for what you would expect. Breakfast for two + mimosas was 44 bucks + tax and tip. I would go back for sure. The staff were super friendly. It's kind of a hip area to visit.

Yelp
Got the veggie burger as a late night snack when arriving in Charlottesville. They use huge burger buns that have a slight buttery crisp. The veggie burger was good but I wish there was more of a black bean taste from it. The Cajun fries were the star of the show, they were so so so crispy with a melt in your mouth inside. The spicy aïoli that came with it paired perfectly. My server was Mel, she was really nice and attentive. All of the servers were friendly. I sat at a cute table next to the bar, the tvs were in good viewing distance.

Yelp
For $35/pp, we got the choice of an appetizer, entree, and dessert item during this year's restaurant week. Our server was very nice although she seemed a bit uniformed about the menu and drink options. I ordered homemade pierogis in a truffle cream sauce, salmon with mushroom, walnut, and spinach risotto, and the Nutella beignets. The pierogis were underwhelming, but the cream sauce was delicious. The salmon was very flavorful and the risotto was cooked well. The dessert was disappointing-it was one single beignet that was soggy and difficult to eat. My partner ordered the gumbo, jambalaya, and bourbon banana bread pudding. He thoroughly enjoyed the gumbo, thought the jambalaya was good but not amazing, and said that the bread pudding was tasty. Service was quick and the restaurant's atmosphere was very cozy. Overall a good meal!

Yelp
I came here today with some girlfriends and we had a good experience for how busy brunch was! We were able to be seated very quickly and order our food. Everything was great and the portions were huge! I loved my biscuits they were just a tad bit dry. My vegetarian egg plate was delicious and packed with veggies as well. I loved all the vegetarian friendly options so that's a huge plus!! Just be aware since it's right near UVA, Sunday brunch can get pretty crowded and be a bit loud with all the college age students. It was cute though, it was someone's birthday so they brought out some cake and played a birthday song for this girl and her group of friends.

Yelp
Horrible food. Scrambled eggs were not even warm and very salty. Biscuits so hard that they could not be cut with knife and fork. Gravy also over salted. Fried chicken was dry, almost burnt and fried in old grease. Weak coffee. Server was very sweet. She asked if there was a problem. She took our full plates back to kitchen to show manager. When she came back with bill of $47 for 2 breakfasts, I asked her what the manager said. She said she was sorry. Surprised the manager did not even come and talk to us.

Yelp
We've been going to Fig for years but only when UVa is on break. Parking can be tough! Decided to check it out during fall break and were not disappointed. I have an allergy and so asked for an adjustment to my order and the kitchen didn't blink but made a dish that was an adaptation to a menu item. WOW! Anna and crew continue to knock it out of the park here with wonderful food and service. Thanks to all!

Scott N.

Yelp
Wow, I stepped in here on a lark and was blown away by how great the service and food were. For a small space they have it set up in a way that doesn't feel too crowded. The servers treated all tables like friends. The waffles were amazing!

Yelp
I really, really wanted to love Fig but just couldn't. I've had one brunch here and one dinner, and been for drinks a few times. The drinks are great, they have a great deal on Thursdays and are always fast. For the food: first big note is that they do not split checks. This is fine, but if you're in a group plan to have one person charge and be reimbursed. For brunch the mimosas are a good deal, and you can even take some to go. The food was lackluster, rather dry and not much seasoning. The brunch was fine, but not worth the price tag. Dinner felt much the same way. The food menu for dinner is very small, which I usually take to be a sign that everything prepared is expertly done. However, no specific dish really shined. Overall, the food here is not bad and the drinks are great, but it's not a place that drives me to come back again and again.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for brunch. I did not like the online reservation system because reservations must be confirmed by the chef. But if you make reservations well in advance then you should be fine. However, reservations are definitely required because the restaurant gets pretty crowded on the weekends, and it's located on the corner.   We tried the Pint Mimosa, Eggs in Avocado, and Bacon Chocolate Chip Pancake. The Pint Mimosa was good for the price. It's not the best mimosa and you can tell that it's made with cheap champagne and not fresh orange juice. However, it still tastes good and for 3 dollars it's a fun way to start a weekend morning.   I liked the Eggs in Avocado. It was a fun and very millennial dish. The ingredients were fresh. I was not a fan of the salsa in the dish. I would have preferred a salsa with real tomatoes to provide an acidic component compliment the fattiness of the eggs and avocado. However, I didn't have that much of problem with it because I could easily take it off.   The bacon chocolate chip pancake was standard. It was a good pancake, but it wasn't amazing. Simple and tasty, but nothing impressive that you can't get similar to elsewhere.   Overall, Fig is a fun and cute brunch spot. It's not my favorite brunch spot in Charlottesville but I could see myself coming back here with friends.

Yelp
Brunch is pretty good. Dinner is very overpriced considering how bland the food is and how small the portion is. Service is very friendly though.

Yelp
I've only ever been here for brunch, but always hid a good experience. It's a nice in-between in terms of price point-- a nice meal but very reasonable. The food is, in fact, good. I would recommend the biscuit and gravy or the mediterranean omelet, but the french toast is also amazing if you like a sweet breakfast. Very cute restaurant with a fun, playful vibe.

Yelp
My family and I came in really hungry and at a busy Sunday brunch time. Timing was on our side though as they squeezed us in at a table almost right way and the place was packed and fun music was playing. It server was fantastic, got us a high chair, took our orders and had our drinks out pretty quickly. Especially, a quick side of bacon to keep our toddler chill. I was really impressed as it was so packed in there. The food quality was good, the mimosa was even better but I do wish the waffle was a bit crispier. We'll be back for sure and I'd love to try those cool seats in the alley!

Yelp
Fig is amazing. Great food, service and ambience. Reminded me of a quant New England Inn. Went for dinner and loved it so much, went back the next day for Brunch. Must have reservations on weekends.

Yelp
Ambiance was excellent. Cute hole in the wall on the curve. Came in for Sunday brunch. Very quaint. Just what I was looking for. Service was great. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed everyone I interacted with and the service was quick and my coffee cup kept warm. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. I would not recommend this entree at this restaurant. The biscuit was dense, maybe brown flour or something? Brown sausage gravy that was too salty. Bacon on top was chewy rather than crispy. Cheese on top only added to the saltiness. Then served with fried potatoes, which is completely unnecessary with biscuits and gravy. Other entrees looked great. To fix this entree they should use a white, fluffy sourdough biscuit, cut in half and served with sausage paddies and pouched eggs (Benedict style) but with white cream gravy with fresh ground black pepper instead of hollandaise. Then something light and sweet on the side like fresh blueberries and strawberries for color. Otherwise maybe try the chicken and waffles or something else.

Yelp
food is not good at all. the meat (burger and pork chop) is overseasoned and over done. the Mac and cheese on the burger was oddly sweet and the patty itself was not a smash burger (previously frozen for sure).

Yelp
The staff was so welcoming and full of energy ! The brunch was perfect - not too heavy with great flavors ! Had a fun youthful vibe ! Mason was a knowledgeable and attentive server !!!

Yelp
Fig can be found on the Corner right on the out-skirts of UVA's grounds, which means they are BUSY! The food was great, but was on the pricier side. The service was also very slow simply due to the number of people in the restaurant. I got the I Dare You Wrap which was made up of a eggs, mushrooms, jalapeños, Cajun potatoes, and cheddar cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla. I did need hot sauce however (for anyone like me who needs the spice). My only major complaint is that the kitchen doesn't take substitutions (only subtractions). As a vegetarian, I was able to take out the bacon from the I Dare You wrap, but wasn't able to substitute it for another vegetable. The best dish at Fig however is their fried oreos! They make for THE PERFECT dessert. Although a little pricey, I highly recommend at least a one-time try.

Yelp
I really wish I could've given Fig a higher rating because I've never heard anything but praise for this restaurant. Looking at their menu, everything seemed delicious. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it's sad to say but it was underwhelming. The chicken tasted a bit on the dryer side and lacked much flavor. The waffle was perfectly cooked but the same rings true regarding flavor. The egg was perfectly crispy with a good runny yolk. The most flavor from my meal came from the gravy, but for the main aspects such as the chicken and waffle themselves, I wanted more flavor than what they were offering. I may try this place again because their menu has many reasonably priced options with a perfect brunch aesthetic inside the restaurant, but for this experience, it was a let down.

Yelp
The big draw to this venue is the promise of cajun taste and it just wasnt there for me honestly. That is not to take away from the food. I got the Big Fig: the eggs were good, the potatoes were probably the best thing on my plate and bacon is BACON sooo lol My plate definitely could have been warmer bit my food came out fast. Of course there were $2 Mimosas which is always a plus. All in all for affordable food that tastes good... i would go again!

Yelp
It always appeared as a very happening place--a bustling vibe with a constant stream of patrons who have booked reservations. I managed to squeeze in a reservation the morning of my visit so by the time I showed up, my group was immediately seated. Service is quick and attentive. The atmosphere is pretty fun. The food, perhaps, is less up to par. I think avocado dishes for breakfast manage to be pretty light but satisfyingly filling enough, so I eagerly ordered Eggs in Avocado. It comes with avocados, scrambled eggs, a salad, and a dollop of salsa with an additional sauce (if I remember correctly). All elements individually were mediocre and standard, nothing wrong enough to complain about but also nothing particularly unique enough to make them stand out. The avocados were slightly firm and without zest or anything charming. The scrambled eggs were decent. Overall, the dish was missing something to unite all these flavors together into one holistic dish. It was more like an assemblage of breakfast items onto one plate, goal-less and without synchrony.

Yelp
We had our daughters 40th Birthday at Fig It was fabulous! Planning a surprise party from California was made simple with the guidance and assurance from Anja@Fig.. The food was fabulous, service, could not have been better.. We all had such an amazing experience! Thank you again to Anja and your entire staff, for making a memory of a life time!

Yelp
This is a hoppin' busy place! Lots of UVA students frequently go here since it's on the UVA corner. I wouldn't recommend it for groups, as they add 20% gratuity to groups of 6 or more, unless you're on one check- because they won't split the check. They ran out of food items such as Bloody Marys and biscuits. They even ran out of napkins. Our group made a reservation in advance but still faced a 25 minute wait. I ordered a Mediterranean Omelette & at first it was good. However, as I ate, it was runny throughout so it wasn't cooked through. The pancakes were good... others ordered those! Overall, I won't be returning. If you're in the mood for pancakes though, I would say you're okay to eat here... otherwise not much to write home about as far as Sunday brunch goes.
google avatar

Tenzin G.

Yelp
My friends and I went here on one of the busiest days during the UVA's tradition of Midsummer. And the service, Vibe, and food was still stellar! Quick overview: the service is very friendly, and accommodating. For the food, go with something more indulgent. Bloody Mary's are the only thing I would say just don't order here. GET THE MIMOSAS TO GO! (Mainly cause it's cute and fun) I got the eggs and avocado and it was so delicious, but honestly I wish I'd gotten one of their creative menus on your item, such as the bacon pancakes that my friend got and said that they were the best pancakes she's ever had!! The more creative menu option seem like the way to go. I loved my food but it wasn't super unique. It was a good plate of eggs and avocado! You can order mimosas to go and they were really good, and such a cute little innovation that I've never seen anywhere else. Also note The pitcher of mimosa I'm pretty sure it's most cost efficient to order the three dollar mimosas. Because my friend ordered a picture and we all got the smaller size and measured it out Despite the sweat and the heat of the sun and the extent of busyness, we had such a great time here and would definitely go again!!
google avatar

Yelp
It was a gal's brunch date with 4 of us. We made reservations for Saturday, but we probably didn't need them. I started with a figmosa- a mimosa with an added shot of vodka...the PERFECT way to get my meal started! The menu looked amazing, it was so hard for all of us to pick our dishes! Our waitress was a bit over-attentive and would ask if we were ready to order every 2 minutes when we repeatedly said we needed more time and just didn't want to rush since we were enjoying our morning of gossip. Though she came off a bit annoying, she did have great recommendations. I was really happy with the fried chicken and biscuit with chorizo gravy and fried egg. The portion was big, I'm surprised I ate it all! I also had a bite of the chocolate chip bacon pancakes which were equally amazing! But, back to our waitress, we were handed our check right after we were handed our food and were just starting to eat. I don't think that we needed to feel that rushed when it was not a busy time and we really wanted to order a pitcher of figmosa!

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week because I've heard so many people say great things about it. I will give them points for the atmosphere, and the food was fast even though the restaurant was full. Otherwise, I ended up pretty disappointed because my expectations were high. I do understand that restaurant week may introduce extra difficulties in terms of the unique dishes and more customers. However, I do think that we were forgotten about because we waited about 15 minutes after we sat and saw other later tables get water and even their orders taken before we were even given water. The server immediately threw the host under the bus which was a little funny but more uncomfortable. The restaurant was mostly full, but there appeared to be enough servers to handle it based on my own opinion as a server myself. The oysters were great, but my grits entree was disappointing because it wasn't very flavorful and the portion was pretty small. They're on the menu as "jalapeño cheese grits," but I didn't taste any spice whatsoever. Calling them cheese grits was the equivalent of calling La Croix fruit-flavored. I was also expecting multiple beignets, but it was just one that was a little too browned for my taste. My friends also weren't that impressed with the food, and the apple pie was unexpectedly served cold and didn't come with ice cream like the menu said it would. I also didn't expect to be charged for each fountain Pepsi I drank, so that was kind of whack. Not sure if that's a restaurant policy or just something our server did. Maybe we are all big eaters, but we ended our meal discussing where to get something else to eat because we were still hungry. TL;DR: the atmosphere was nice, and the food came out in a timely manner but was disappointing in flavor and quantity (except for the oysters). Service did not begin in a timely manner and was lackluster and minimal. I rarely go to restaurants and end up so disappointed. :(

Yelp
The Fig Bistro was our serendipitous brunch selection during our free morning before a wedding in Charlottesville. It was right next to the main campus on Main street. Even though it was busy, the staff were able to squeeze us in after only 10 short minutes. We were lucky to be seated on their adorable little outdoor area right off the main dining room. I got an iced coffee and a mimosa. I was shocked that a mimosa was only $3! That was such a great price for a mason jar of mimosa! I chose the biscuits and gravy as my entree. It was fire. I loved every single bite of that huge plate of food. The home fry potatoes were cajun style, a little spicy but very flavorful. The biscuit and gravy portion was very cheesy and peppery just like I love my Bs and Gs to be! Now the real star of this show, was the BACON. OH BOY. It was crispy as hell dude. I wish I had a plate of just that bacon. Absolutely amazing in every way. The second best part of Fig is that it was so well priced! It's seriously very affordable! Don't go big, go Fig!

Yelp
We went here for brunch and the staff was very sweet. The food was really good. I enjoyed the biscuit I got with my meal quite a bit, also they gave me a truck load of bacon.

Yelp
We can came to Fig for Friday Survivor, which was advertised as $2 soda-based doubles and $4 juice-based doubles. We got there a little early, so we ordered some pierogies as an appetizer, and confirmed the drink deal with our server. The pierogies were decent, but it was $12 for 4 small pierogies!! Honestly, given the quality and portions, it felt a little like highway robbery! After an few rounds of drinks, we asked for the bill, and were surprised to see that we were double charged for all of our drinks. We asked the waiter and he said the Friday deals were $4 soda-based doubles, but since we were given incorrect information earlier in the night he fixed our bill. I'm not sure if this restaurant is just trying to rip off drunk college kids, but the drinks were definitely advertised as $2. I was very disappointed with this experience, because I've generally enjoyed going to Fig in the past.

Yelp
A classic spot on Cville's corner, Fig has a great atmosphere and a great location, as well as a good variety between their brunch options and dinner options. After stopping by for a light meal and some drinks, I was very happy with their service and the quality of their food. I will say that some portion sizes are a little on the small side, but the food itself is pretty delicious!
google avatar

Caroline F.

Yelp
I've enjoyed Fig over the years, but I stopped by the other day for brunch with friends and decided it was time to give them the review they deserve. Everything was delicious on the Southern Fried plate- the fried chicken was crispy, the biscuit was flakey, and the scrambled eggs were perfectly done. I'll have to try an item off the sweet side of the menu next time I find myself in Charlottesville. Also, how can you say no to $2 mimosas?

Matt T.

Yelp
Meh. Average food for Restaurant Week, definitely nothing special. Should have had lower expectations, I initially didnt realized it was on the corner when we booked. Sign at front says no partial parties seated so I told them I would leave and come back once my date was there, which we did, only to see numerous partial parties trickle in while we were eating. Waitress was friendly but obviously very junior. Food was okay- overcooked lamb and bland trout but nothing overtly bad. Not sure why there was a 3.8% convenience fee (we had ordered a bottle of wine and went during restaurant week?) and the bill was formatted weirdly with no place to sign and conflicting info about what was the customer copy.
google avatar

Patrick H.

Yelp
Went for Mothers Day Brunch and they got us seated and served very quickly. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. My entree (the southern) was fantastic! One of the best breakfast entrees I've ordered anywhere in Cville. What made it especially good was the addition of their homemade hot sauce and strawberry jam for the biscuit. I will definitely be back. Other than being a little cramped seating out in the alley, it was fantastic and I would go and sit there to eat that meal again!

Yelp
I went with a few people for brunch last weekend, and despite having a reservation we had to wait a good half hour for our table. To add insult to injury, the food was just ok and a lot of it was cold! I ordered a side of cheesy potatoes that came out in a mini skillet (would imply a sizzling hot dish, right?) but the cheese was not even melted and it was cold to the touch. A few others got the potatoes as part of their main course and had the same temperature issues, so it seems safe to say that those are not made to order. I also tried the pain perdu (French toast) and the crab cake benny. The French toast was pretty tasty, but the crab benny was disappointing. There was not enough sauce or crab to make up for the overwhelming abundance of carbs (hearty portion of grits AND an entire biscuit). The Bloody Mary was also quite bland and had very little booze in it. Service was fine, though, and she did split our checks which was nice! I'll be skipping this place next time I'm in search of a brunch spot.

Yelp
Came for brunch with my husband. We watched so many amazing dishes be served and our meal was amazing. The atmosphere is cute and cozy. This is our new favorite brunch spot
google avatar

Vita W.

Yelp
This is a solid brunch spot in cville. Cheap but good mimosas and bloody mary's! Not a big dining room so I would recommend making a reservation. They had a variety of southern style options- chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, huevos rancheros, biscuits and gravy, etc. Would not get the cheesy grits again, but the Southern Fried hit the spot. We went for a friend's birthday and they blasted 50 Cent and the chef and/or owner personally came out with a slice of cake. The garage by Wertland and 14th is probably your best bet for parking. I've also been for dinner and was underwhelmed, but may have to go again and try a different dis

Yelp
Fig is far the best restaurant in town. We visited few times with friends and family for dinner and brunch, it was fabulous. There staff is very refreshing for charlottesville restaurant scene, young, smart very polite. We will be back.
google avatar

Casey S.

Yelp
What a beautiful place for brunch or happy hour. The interior is clean, modern, and decorated with string lights to give it a really comfortable and aesthetic ambiance. They have excellent savory and sweet options for brunch, and a varied dinner menu as well with underlying southern cuisine dishes and flavors. I really enjoyed the avocado egg bake for brunch and stuffed dates for a dinner appetizer. They also do a weekly survivor hour for $1-2 rail drinks and other drink deals. The service and ownership are incredible as well. I shared a picture of my brunch on Instagram and received a personal message from the owner thanking me for my post and offering me my next meal on the house. They engage well to make sure their customers leave satisfied and are clearly quite generous in ensuring a good experience!
google avatar

Riley C.

Yelp
I can only comment on brunch and on this day, it did not leave a favorable impression. It was so bad, it does not warrant a return to try the dinner service. The impression began with friends who love locally calling to see if there would be a table. There was a lot of discussion, because it is restaurant week and that was only available later. Though they were still not quick to be take the reservation, which we understood was later into their day, close to closing, but appeared to only be the beginning of the disappointment with Fig. The chicken with the special was over cooked, dry and flavorless. The peach pancake special smelled good and looked good, but that was it. The peaches were fresh and only slightly warmed, which was nice, but they were dry pancakes. Dry pancakes require syrup, the handle of the syrup was covered in syrup. The server did not ask how the check would be. They refused to separate the ticket, saying they do not do that, even though the couple we were with ate there previously and had two tickets. So clearly they do, this server did not.

Yelp
Perfect breakfast/brunch place, attentive and friendly staff and great menu options, including vegetarian/vegan. My one suggestion to improve would be fresh fruit options.

Yelp
I've been to Fig twice for brunch before, and both times, the food and service has been great! The first time I went, we ordered the Eggs in Avocado (avocado, lime zest tomatoes, basil, olive oil, poached eggs, house made remoulade) and one of their omelette specials. The omelette was my favorite, but unfortunately since it was a special, I wasn't able to order it the second time around. We ordered the Cajun Cheese Potatoes as well, which I recommend. I've also had their Oreo Pancakes, which were very filling but not as moist as I was hoping for. The portion was massive though, which was nice. Their coffee is also really good!

Yelp
Came here for dinner for the first time in Friday evening. We don't typically visit a Corner restaurant while school is in session, but we wanted to try FIG using our Hospice dining coupon before it expired. We arrived right before happy hour ended (4-6) and ordered 2 draft beers for $2 each. It was a great special as it included any of the beers on tap, not just Bud Light, Coors Light, etc. Margaritas were also $2 during Friday's happy hour. Service was not great, as we sat for about 10 minutes without anyone coming over. We had to flag someone down to place our drink order before 6:00. We ordered our food then as well. Our food came out extremely quick, about 2 minutes after our drinks arrived. My husband ordered the jambalaya and I had the pesto penne crab cake special. The special was just okay, something I could have easily fixed at home. My husband's jambalaya was very good. I'd return for a happy hour drink or if I had another coupon.

Yelp
Delicious food at Fig for restaurant week. Very tasty but the food came out a bit rushed, was handed chocolate cake while still eating lamb. The pierogies were the best part but wish there were more than just three

Yelp
Came here on sat for brunch, even with reservations we had a big wait time. The food was soooooo good, the atmosphere was perfect. I would def come here again. I felt a little rushed from the staff to get out. They were short on cups and took our empty alcohol ones but she also took our water cups that still have fluid in it. We barely got the Check at that point.

Yelp
Fig's decor is beautiful and that's about the only pleasant part of our dining experience with them. We went in tonight for restaurant week and got seated and waited for 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. We were sat square in the middle of the restaurant (it's one room so you can see the entire restaurant basically from anywhere you sit) and multiple servers passed us and not one stopped to even give us water. I flagged down a host finally and they assigned us a server. We each had a three course meal for restaurant week and the dishes were really small portions across the board and almost all the food was flavorless. The jalapeño cheese grits had neither cheese nor jalapeño, the only decent thing we ordered was the oysters. The margaritas were really inconsistent, the first was basically lemon juice and the second was closer to what we ordered. Our server barely touched the table and we consistently tried to flag her down to no avail. Our "beignets" was actually just 1 beignet and the apple pie came ice cold without ice cream, despite advertising it on the menu. The bill was expensive and we weren't impressed with the drinks the food or the service. For a restaurant that stands for "food is good" (fig) I was shocked at how poor our experience was tonight. Would not be back.

Yelp
Fig is always the spot for brunch on Saturday. We had the Big Fig and "Which came first" today. They usually do $2 mimosas on the weekends. The NOLA vibes are great. Everything is always super fresh, the plates have great presentation and the service is so accommodating. They also have such a fun survivor hour on Thursday nights, and they post different deals throughout the week on Instagram so you can be up to date!

Yelp
I went in with high hopes- the place looks nice and once inside it has a great vibe. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. The coffee and iced tea are great. All downhill from there for Sunday brunch. Ordered regular breakfast - bacon was cooked well but scrambled eggs and potatoes seemed to be scooped out of the cafeteria buffet warming trays. Biscuit was served cold with rock hard butter. Lots of employees but our waitress checked once during our meal while we waited for a napkin and refills on coffee and tea. We won't be back. High prices for a really mediocre food and service.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed with the food, which was aggressively mediocre. I felt like I could have cooked it at home and done a better job. The bruschetta baguette bread wasn't toasted and the kale salad was limp. The sauces on both of our entrees were thin and watery, with mine lacking any of the garlic and ginger flavor it was supposed to have. Also my entree was supposed to be a zucchini noodle dish but it was mostly mushrooms with maybe a few zucchini noodles thrown in there. The salmon was cooked well but the spice rub was way too thick and had too much chili powder in it. The peach cobbler beignet was extremely doughy and barely had any peach in it. Also we weren't offered an outdoor table so we didn't realize they even had outdoor seating until well into our meal, which we would have preferred. The server said wine bottles were 15% off, so we ordered one. We had already finished our appetizers when we were told that they had "just opened the last bottle" of the wine we ordered, so we couldn't get the bottle but we could get glasses (which of course weren't discounted and are more expensive to begin with). On the menu, that particular wine wasn't even offered by the glass so why the "last bottle" was opened at all I don't know; seemed like an excuse to just get more money out of us. We also felt really rushed as each course came out of the kitchen extremely fast and we were never even asked if we wanted a second drink. For a two-person meal over $100, I would expect much better food, service, and hostessing than we got. Rather than Fig (Food Is Good) this place should be called Fio (Food Is Ok).

Yelp
My friends and I went to Fig Bistro for a late brunch. We decided to take advantage of their cheap mimosas and started off with a round of those. They were surprisingly good! I decided to try the oreo pancakes and my friends ordered the "which came first" and the Southern fried. The food came quickly, which was a plus. However, the food was pretty mediocre. The oreo pancakes were cooked perfectly, but the batter didn't have much flavor and the oreos were a little too crispy. I tried a bite of the Southern fried too and that was just okay, as well. Fig is a great spot for an inexpensive, quick brunch, but it definitely isn't the best place for a top-notch brunch in Charlottesville.

Yelp
My husband and I visited this awesome place for brunch on 10th February! It was an early Valentine's Day brunch for us. The place was crowded at 10am on a Sunday. We waited for about 15 mins before being seated. The waitress did mention to us that you have to make reservations at least a day before. Something to take note of. We settled and I ordered an Orange Juice. The OJ was great and FRESH. My husband wanted the cinnamon pancakes and I wanted Oreo and we wanted to try the fried chicken with gravy and overeasy eggs. So we did ask if the pancake could be customized to instead of 3 of the same kind of pancakes to a variety. They agreed and gave us one Oreo pancake and one cinnamon pancake. Both were amazing by the way. The fried chicken is my fav. They did mess up my husband's order on the eggs by giving him scrambled but fixed it by giving another serving of over easy. All in all, it was a lovely brunch! Food and ambience was good. Parking though is an issue as with many restaurants at that stretch. But absolutely worth it. *thumbs up*
