Fig Tree Cafe Expanding to the East Village - Eater San Diego

"Engman founded Fig Tree Café in 2008 in Pacific Beach, eventually growing into another location in Liberty Station. The Hillcrest outpost of the California eatery, which closed last December, is slated to reopen as a Breakfast Republic next month. The new location in East Village will replace Double Standard Kitchenetta at the corner of G Street and Sixth Avenue." - Candice Woo

Just had the best salmon Benedict at Fig Tree Cafe! It was seriously delicious! The service was a bit hit or miss, but the food is so good I'd still go back in a heartbeat. If you're planning to go, def call ahead to reserve a table, it gets pretty crowded. Overall, worth a visit!

Google
This is a solid restaurant with good food and almost always a wait on the weekends. We showed up around 10am on a Sunday and had to wait about 20 minutes. The food is better than a fast-food diner but doesn't have the same level of authenticity and freshness that I was seeking. The fig jam French toast is delicious but too sweet, while the breakfast burrito was good but needed a little more to it. The service was good and it's a great place for large groups and the whole family!

We visited San Diego and the lady at our hotel suggested this place. Needless to say we ate breakfast twice while here. The food was fresh and delicious. The Mexican mocha was outstanding! Juan was our server twice and is awesome!

Google
A very fun (and delicious) brunch. My wife had the gluten free french toast which she loved, my one son had french toast and another had a kid’s pancake that came out as Mickey Mouse which was a very fun touch. We asked for an extra side of Bacon they call “Man Candy” which has a lot of potential but was ultimately soggy and missed the mark. Making candied spiced bacon (their attempt at it) isnt hard, they just need to work on it a little more. I had the steak and eggs which was solid. The atmosphere was fun and the service was great. It got extremely busy on a Sunday after 10, so try to get in a little earlier!

I definitely my husband and I were driving to the other location, but this location was great. Dog-friendly with dog specific food items available; chicken, bacon, eggs. Our dog had the chicken which was probably a whole cup of chunked chicken. He loved it. We had the sparkling and juice ($27) for 3 mimosas each. I had the vegan bennie and my husband had the American breakfast with “man candy” 😂. I’m not vegan, but primarily vegetarian. I was not a fan of the hollandaise as it tasted like straight mayo and there was so much. The chorizo didn’t taste like chorizo flavor, just plain veg crumbles. I did really like the cauliflower patties that were in place of the english muffins. My husband’s was delicious, and the man candy was SO good! It’s not crunchy, but very soft, coated with a brown sugar and paprika mixture. The atmosphere is wonderful. If you’re looking for brunch vibes this is the place.

Google
The place was nice they were a little busy when we arrived. The servers were a little slow coming to take our order once we were settled down but after that, they found their footing I was thinking about not going back but I will just to see if the next time is better than the first time.

Google
Really delicious FRESH FOOD! A must stop :) i had the spicy chicken sandwich with a house salad, and an espresso martini that tasted like fresh espresso. Will come here again when visiting.

Google
I loved everything about the Fig Tree Cafe. The covered outdoor seating area has such a vibe to it. There’s also more tables in the back. The service was exceptional and our food was delivered promptly and was delicious. I will definitely come back on my next trip to San Diego to try more of their menu!

Yelp
First time at Fig Tree and we had a great experience. Our waitress was Jackie and she was so pleasant and helpful. She gave great food and drink recommendations. We were not disappointed with our meal choices. I got the salmon benedict, which is better on an english muffin and he got the bananas foster french toast. We sat outside on the patio which had good covering from the sunlight. It happened to be a cold day and I was freezing! Jackie offered me some blankets. Super sweet girl!

Yelp
My husband and I met my niece here yesterday for Sunday Brunch. I had viewed the website as well as heard about the great food. I was so excited about trying it. It did not disappoint. My husband doesn't usually eat/order breakfast. This time he did and actually praised it all day until we went to bed last night. He named every place we frequent for breakfast while stating how much better the Fig Tree Cafe was. My dish was amazing also. I have only had a frittata about 2 times before yesterday. My niece and I decided we wanted to branch out and try something new. I tried the shrimp frittata and she tried the breakfast sushi. We both loved our choices. Then the potatoes with truffle oil, parmesan and arugula....OMG. I asked our waiter for a blanket and pillow because I had no intentions on leaving......LOL Speaking of which, Allan was our host. He provided excellent service but went a step further and made us feel so welcomed and made our visit an absolute treat. Needless to say, we agreed on once a month brunch at this very location. We are going to plan to sit in Allan's section just for the fun of it.

Yelp
We had a party of 4 hit Fig Tree Cafe around 9am on a Sunday. We were thinking it was probably going to be busy since it was a cafe but was pleasantly surprised when we walked up and were able to get a table for the 4 of us almost immediately. The staff was super nice and helpful, especially when trying to decide on all the yummy things on the menu. We all got different items and everyone was super happy about what they got. I ordered the House Cured Salmon Everything bagel with a side of scrambled eggs. It was absolutely delicious and I high recommend it if you are a fish person. I also got the honey lavender latte, dairy-free and was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing it was. The only thing I didn't like about the latte was the lavender that was sprinkled on top was a bit much and I ended up having to scoop it out. The place its self was super cute. I loved, loved, loved the surfboard strung up lights! 10/10 there for sure!

Yelp
I love this place! It's become tradition to come here for my birthday because they are cautious when serving me due to my nut allergy. I always order the vegan French toast and a side of house potatoes, and they always note my allergy for the kitchen staff. Yesterday was no different! Our waiter, Connor, made the day extra special when he brought me a cup of strawberries with whipped cream as my birthday treat! The typical birthday treat is a pecan coffee cake, which I could not have enjoyed due to my nut allergy. The attention to detail was so special to me, thank you Connor!

Yelp
This is a totally outdoor place on the plaza over at Liberty Station. It was a nice day, but I could see it getting quite cold in the cooler weather. The service was very good. The server was helpful in trying to help us make decisions. He was attentive and kept checking back to see if we needed anything. It is difficult to give a star rating. I liked what I had which was the shrimp frittata. Because I am very sensitive to spice, I had the sauce and peppers on the side. I was given a choice of butter or jam along with my toast. I would have liked to have both. The frittata was very good. It had a great number of shrimp and the cheese was nice. I was disappointed in the choice of herbal teas (only 1 kind). My husband did not enjoy his meal. He had the vegetarian omelette. The choice of vegetables was not great and they were to al dente which was hard to chew. The roasted red peppers were good, but overwhelmed the dish. The coffee wasn't great. It was not a good flavor of coffee. We will try it again on a warmer day and try different things.

Yelp
First time at this location! It's so cute! My best friend and I stopped by one morning on the way to the airport and had a great time! The vibe was so cute and loved all of the coffee and drink options. They have inside and outside seating as well as a lot of parking options. My friend got the grilled turkey sandwich and I got the house cured lox and bagel. Both were really good and decent size portions. Next time we want to try the meatloaf hash. The service was good. Our server was really nice and helpful.

Yelp
We came here on a weekend afternoon and stumbled upon Fig Tree Cafe. It was not too busy and was able to be seated right away. We ordered the French Toast and an Eggs Benedict and both were really great. The employees were super nice and very attentive. The only issue was we were seated in their patio area (which is no issue), but there was a bunch of flies flying around. It was getting onto the table and the drinks, etc. I know that is hard to combat but made it a little hard to eat when we were constantly trying to keep the flies away.
google avatar

Jay R.

Yelp
Not surprisingly, it was super busy for Sunday brunch. Quoted 30 min wait, we got seated 45 mins later...understandable that folks were taking their time and enjoying their brunch. Food came out fast and tasty, coffee refilled quickly, didn't feel rushed by staff to finish up. Definitely a great spot to celebrate brunch.

Yelp
We were in the area checking out the Liberty Station area and wanted a snack. We saw the Fig Tree Cafe and we were a huge fan. We've been to two other locations and loved it. We arrived and there were no one around. A gentleman said he had to wipe down a table and we can be seated. No worries. Another gentleman came and said, no. He had a large party. Ok. And then, he changed his mind, and we were seated at the original spot. Oyyyyy.... We sat down and were given water and menus. We ordered coffees, soups, and fries. The fries were nice and crispy and tasty. Our waiter was busy with other tables. We asked for more coffee, but he must have forgotten. So, bottomless coffee means one cup. The soup was like watered down enchilada sauce. Overall, we did not have a good experience at all. I hate writing bad reviews. I just could not let this one go. There's plenty of parking in this area. The place is kept up. I cannot say we will return at this location any time soon.

Yelp
This place has great great prices. I love their food. I've come here many times and have brought people here many times and they've all enjoyed it too. The service is always great and quick even when it's busy. The ambiance is great. I love the seating area and the location. I get takeout here a lot also and like to call in. I love that they have truffle fries too.
google avatar

Yelp
Lots of options to choose from, even picky eaters will find something! Service was a little slow but it was also prime time on a beautiful Sunday so weren't upset. I liked that they text you when your table is ready so you can walk around and enjoy liberty station. Food was very tasty and fresh! It doesn't taste like it's been sitting under a warmer. Thank you to our server who waited on us because she was very kind! (Sorry I forgot your name thou)

Yelp
Mid brunch with a long wait. Both my friend and I were highly disappointed by Fig tree cafe. Perhaps we ordered wrong? For a place with high reviews and a long wait time, we had high expectations. My friend got the breakfast sushi, and while the mancandy (bacon) was good, there was so little in comparison to the amount of rice in the meal. This dosh is more for the looks that taste. I got the salmon benedict with the upgraded potatoes. It was lacking in actual flavor and tasted too fishy for my liking. The only thing I wnjoyed was the upgraded potatoes. The flavor of truffle was good. Would not come back, there are better brunch spots with shorter wait times.
google avatar

Jennifer L ..

Yelp
The fig tree cafe is a cute brunch spot, this one is located in liberty station. There was basically no wait as soon as my group got there. The service was great we got our food super quick and the server came back often to give us more water or ask if we needed anything. I ordered the grilled turkey sandwich and truffle fries it was super good! I think the sandwich bread was perfectly toasted and the fries were delicious! My friend who ordered the huevos rancheros gives them a 3/5, she said the salsa needed more flavor. My friend who ordered the breakfast sushi gives it a 4/5, she says it's an interesting concept but is mostly rice and egg.

Yelp
This place absolutely incledible, from the moment you enter i was greeted by Melissa who did an amazing job on helping me through so many menu options she helped me to choose the best which is Shrimp Frittata. Whoever opened this plIt was served really fast and fresh, vibes of this place incledible too with great music playing on the background and amazing Surf boards all over the ceiling! I wish they had location in LA, we definitely need you there! Thanks a lot guys, would def be back whenever in San Diego!

Yelp
One of the OG SD establishments that I've been going to. Since moving out of SD, we've missed that CA Burrito that is properly done right only in So Cal. Their CA Breakfast Burrito is right up there. Those of you visiting SD, definitely must try. Meatloaf hash is good as well. I got extra crispy potatoes - goes so well with the pesto and meatloaf and that overeasy egg! Yogurt and granola was very good as well. Not too sweet and lots of berries. Great service to top it off.

Lindsey M.

Yelp
Once again, our server Joey knocked it out of the park! Immediately sat down at the bar and he was super attentive. The food was ahhhhmazing as always and the service was just as phenomenal as the last time. Will definitely be back again to hopefully be seated in Joey's section.
google avatar

Yelp
I am not a brunch gal but this 100% hit the spot. Meatloaf hash probably doesn't sound appetizing but it was SO good. Cooked perfectly, potatoes nice and crispy. Over easy eggs and the focaccia was a great addition. Butter and homemade jam too! They also had homemade hot sauce that I devoured, I love bloody Mary's and this spicy one was sooo tasty. Price is good. Great location at liberty station to stroll around after. Will be back and recommending!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the fig tree Café secondary to great menu options and how dog friendly it is! Ambiance is chill. Short Ribs Benedict is one of my favorite breakfasts. You can get the hollandaise sauce on the side and it is best with focaccia bread. The short ribs are very tender. Breakfast Sushi is overrated. There is too much rice in proportion to everything else! Man Candy Bacon is absolutely delicious The Shrimp Frittata is flavorful with good size shrimp included. Any of the French Toasts are fantastic! For drinks, love the Bloody Mary with man candy also the Michelada and the Espresso martini is very good! Service can be a little hit or miss because they are so busy. We didn't get our water until we asked for the second time when the food came out. Also, they forgot to bring our drinks until the end of breakfast.
google avatar

Alexis B.

Yelp
Delicious! Stopped here for breakfast after an early flight into San Diego. They have a nice outdoor patio that is covered and we got seated right away. The waitstaff were friendly and quick to refill low drinks. I had the Shrimp Frittata and iced coffee with sweet cream. The frittata had lots of shrimp and the combination with corn and cheese was great. I had never had anything like it before. It came with house potatoes and I was stuffed! The sweet cream coffee was strong and not too diluted with cream either. My partner had a gluten free Benedict with avocado. She said the avocado was a little hard but everything else was delicious. She was so excited about the gluten free options! Great spot for breakfast!

Yelp
A great spot near Liberty Station! Visited some friends down in San Diego and wanted to check out Liberty Station. I've never come there earlier in the day, so we figured we wanted brunch. Fig Tree was the only spot with a reasonable wait time, so we walked around before we were called. About an hour for a Saturday morning. We were seated inside, and ordered our dishes. I got a chorizo omelet and a coffee on the side. It came out pretty quick, and the coffee had the typical assortment of creamers and sugars. The omelet was great, very flavorful and not as greasy as other places. The potatoes were the star of the show, nice and crunchy, without being too salty. Service was excellent too, with constant refills of coffee and waters!

Yelp
We came here Christmas Day and ordered the lemon strawberry French toast and the short rib Benedict. The service was great, and the food tasted good but within an hour of leaving my boyfriend and I both got a terrible case of food poisioning. I was vomiting and in the bathroom for hours. He's still sick today. They need to work on their cleanliness and food safety..
google avatar

Callista F.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday morning for brunch. We were seated quickly and staff was friendly. Food came out super quick and their hibiscus lemonade was bomb!!!
google avatar

Danah H.

Yelp
Lovely cafe with an outside vibe Tent area to sit at tables. Friendly fast service and my coffee cup never got empty. I had the champagne flight because why not. You might want to wait until your breakfast arrives so you won't get to much of a buzz (I'm a light weight). I had the meatloaf scramble and it was okay but a bit bland even with hot sauce. Just didn't hit the yummy spot for me. There are plenty of choices and my family really enjoyed their selections.
google avatar

Yelp
Fun place with great food. I've been going to the Fig Tree for a long time in Pacific Beach, and surprised to find one in lovely Liberty Station. Great brunch place with friendly and staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Got the meatloaf hash and it was delicious on the hot skillet! Went here for Father's Day and the service was very quick and friendly. I liked that the restaurant was very open and able to accommodate a group as large as ours (10+ people)

Elaina B.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. The French toast flight was amazing! The vegetable scramble was so fresh.
google avatar

Selena R.

Yelp
This location has been my favorite go to breakfast spot a whole month straight, usually the wait time is not that long. The seating area is quite small, but once they were able to accommodate 7 people for my group. On another occasion a group of 4 the staff in this location is very attentive which is always appreciated. The house cured salmon Benedict is a treat you don't want to sleep on, my option of bread was the english muffin the hollandaise sauce was so exquisite the taste buds came back just typing up ! The fig jam & ricotta french toast is such a great combination you don't need more sweetness added!
google avatar

Jeff R.

Yelp
Wow. I love this place. My young son had his first mocha here. The staff was chill and helpful. Food was reasonable and great. Great vibe and experience. We will be back.

Yelp
One of my fave spots for breakfast. Haven't tried anything else because the last 3 times I've gone I've literally ordered the same thing, which is to die for !! Berry French toast combo, no eggs, with bacon and rosemary potatoes, orange juice mimosa on the side...chef's kiss the service is amazing, the vibe is always right, love that they have indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely recommend for a family breakfast/brunch, or even on a solo thing.
google avatar

Yelp
My mouth is still watering from eating here! We went to a food hall in San Diego and nothing was open for breakfast. We returned to Liberty Station (my new favorite place in San Diego). Free parking and whatnot really draws me to places. But I'd go back to this place regardless of the parking situation because that's how good it is. We arrived and were immediately able to get a table for 2. Although we were seated right away, there must have been only 1-2 servers for the whole restaurant as this place was crazy busy. Luckily every staff member was so attentive and helpful. I ordered the Eggs Benedict on focaccia bread. Never had that before so I had to try it. It came with breakfast potatoes, crispy, fluffy, perfectly toasted. Bf got the Sausage Breakfast Sandwich, also came with breakfast potatoes. And good thing too cause I was not sharing. I dub this the best breakfast/brunch meal I've had in a very long time. The vanilla latte was also delicious. Plus it was made with a coffee ice cube to avoid diluting the coffee. The ice cube itself was a bit bitter after melting, but it was just made with straight coffee so that makes a lot of sense. Try this place if you're ever in need of an amazing breakfast joint!

Yelp
Experience 3.5 Read the reviews and thought we would try out this place. Brought family visiting town. Our server was Lea. She was very sweet and kind. We all ordered hot Mexican mochas. Unfortunately they missed the mark and it tasted more like having hot chocolate. We ordered the following meals... TRADITIONAL Benedict choice of english muffin or focaccia, Canadian bacon. two poached eggs. hollandaise sauce. chives SHRIMP FRITTATA white shrimp, roasted yellow corn, fire roasted Anaheim peppers, mozzarella cheese, chipotle cream sauce, three eggs, served with house potatoes and choice of bread MEATLOAF HASH house-made meatloaf, smashed potatoes, spinach, basil pesto, three eggs any style, served with choice of bread BREAKFAST SAUSAGE SANDWICH brioche bun, maple sage sausage, roasted garlic aioli, two scrambled eggs, chives, cheddar cheese, baby arugula The food presentation was good, and I think they have a great chef. My Benedict was made perfectly. I feel though it would have been nice if my potatoes were fresh and not cold as if it was sitting out too long. Same reactions with the other food choices. Also another issue, it was difficult enjoying my meal because there was a lot of flies swarming around. I understand that it's semi outdoor but other restaurants ( I've been to plenty) don't seem to have an abundance of pesty flies that you have to continuously wave your hand while eating!! Not good! I couldn't consume my drink because a fly fell in it. Lol
google avatar

Caitlin B.

Yelp
Will I come back. Probably. Why because they have a large menu and drinks are affordable It's definitely a good place to come if you have a lot of time to wait and if you are here with someone not from the area. Liberty Station is a beautiful area IMO. The downfalls. The wait. We waited like 40 min because they don't take reservations. Annoying. Especially since I have a 2 year old toddler who just wanted to play in the water fountain which is right outside of the entrance. The food was good but it was underwhelming. I got the fig jam and ricotta French toast which was literally two slices of bread. It didn't come with anything else. I was still hungry after I ate that and I got a cocktail. my husband had the sausage sandwich which came with potatoes and he ate all of it. And my son got a side of scrambled eggs-2 he ate all of it. And the least satisfying of this he got a side of French fries talk about the most underwhelming portion of fries I swear it came with like 20 fries which was $5 (they weren't even good). So really you're coming here to hang out with friends. Oh also since it's outdoors they also have plants hanging above you and birds chill in the plants and one pooped on the chair. Not the main reason why I wouldn't come back but something to think about. I would come back maybe order something different. The mimosa flight looked good. And some of the other peoples food looked good. Maybe I'll bring my parents back. But I already know they would like the Great Maple more! I was so underwhelmed I didn't even take any photos ‍
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
Vegan French Toast was great, barely noticed the lemon flavor in case you're worried about that, but I would have enjoyed more lemon flavor.
google avatar

Amanda A.

Yelp
We showed up maybe 30 minutes after they opened and we're the first customers. Nobody greeted us so we sat down at a table after waiting a minute. A few more minutes passed before a young woman walked out from the back and saw that she had a table. Not off to a great start, but she apologized for the wait and took my coffee order. We ordered the Mexican mocha, apple fritter pancakes, lemon ricotta pancakes, house potatoes, and a side of bacon. The food tasted great, but three pieces of bacon for $6?? That's ridiculous. Mind you we are now one of two tables occupied but still only three customers total. The server didn't come back until our food was ready even though our waters were empty, and we could see her standing in the kitchen on her phone. Then again didn't come back until well after we were finished eating. My husband actually had to go find her to ask for the check. Needless to say we weren't too pleased with the service. Honestly don't think we will be back. There are better, more attentive places nearby.
google avatar

Diane S.

Yelp
Today breakfast came cold to my table unfortunately had to send it back. Do not understand a cook sending out cold home fries with a cold-ish eggs Benedict! Rain was affecting service inside and out. The patio was very wet but heaters out. The best part of the visit was the excellent service! The menu is varied and creative however! Parking easy and free. Will try again on another day. Eggs Benedict

Yelp
Yay, I finally tried this restaurant everyone raves about! This location at Liberty station has plenty of parking available and the restaurant is easy to find. Definitely make reservations on the weekend if you're brunchin it up! The restaurant itself is pretty small, but it's decorated so cute. It's perfect for warm weather! My cousin and I were seated right away. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Food review: -Breakfast sandwich with potatoes (8/10) -super flavorful eggs, but it lacked overall flavor for me. -Man Candy Bacon (10/10) -bomb, I could've had 2 plates of just the bacon. -Mimosa flight (7/10) -some of the flavors were weird. But I mean, they were strong and that's what we really care about right? Lol. Definitely will be back to try other items on the menu!

Yelp
Really great food and service, brunch here is easy! Plenty of options and everything is tasty

Yelp
A favorite of mine for different reasons. 1- plenty of parking 2- plenty of seating while you and your party wait for your table ( reservations are not available but wait time is decent. 30 min for a party of 5 in the middle of the week). 3- the food, both taste and presentation is always of best quality. 4- vegan and gluten-free options on the menu 5- the staff is always nice and I have never had a bad experience with any of their staff. Very attentive and food doesn't take too long to come out. 6- laid back ambiance. I love that I can come dressed down or up and you can never go wrong with this place whether it's brunch with friends or breakfast with your little ones. There are only 2 (individual) bathrooms and there's usually a wait time to use them but other than that it's all pros.

Yelp
On my hunt for good brunch places. We ate at Fig Tree Cafe on liberty station. We were seated right away as a party of 2. It's a small place, not a lot of seats but they ran food pretty fast so people moved fast. We got the pancake sampler plus the added eggs and bacon, a benny plate and 2 regular coffees. The food was good but no wow factor. The pancakes had good sweetness if your a sweet tooth. The bennys were good, nothing special. I did want to try other plates that intrigued me so we will be back to give it another chance. The staff were attentive and nice. Total bill was $65. Food:*** Service:***** Ambiance:****

Yelp
Second visit to this place!! So delicious and very attentive to gluten allergies! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
First time here and I loved it! Nice ambiance, friendly staff. We went on a Sunday at 12, so their place was packed, wait time was 45 min, not bad compared to other near by locations. I will definitely be returning soon.

Yelp
We were staying in the area and decided to check this place out given it has so many good reviews. We did not have a good experience. We waited about 30min for a table for 4 which was fine with us, since it was a holiday. Food was ok only. Everyone had raved about the Benedict and we do love our Benedicts but the one here was not good. The hollandaise tasted odd. One of our dishes also came without the aioli and it took us awhile to get a server to help us with that. Another of our dish had egg shells in it. We will not be returning. Maybe it was just an off day for them.

Yelp
This spot is a cute and open place to eat lunch. The cafe is in liberty station on the side facing the bay. The food was pretty good and we got the American and the vegan lemon strawberry French toast. The potatoes in the American and the jam was really good. The table has ketchup and hot sauce but the ketchup bottle gets messy after pouring ketchup out. The service was okay since the staff was very friendly but the wait for things was long. We came on a weekend and had to wait about 30-40 min to get seated. Also since they were busy, it could be hard to get the servers attention.
google avatar

Kiersten B.

Yelp
Food was amazing. We got the veggie omelette, the sausage breakfast sandwich, and the kids got Mickey Mouse pancakes. Omelette was fluffy. Breakfast sandwich melted in your mouth. The sausage could send you to heaven with a smile. The kids pancakes could do well with a small side of fruit but that's neither here nor there. Juan was an excellent and attentive server.

Yelp
We had a work brunch. The server was great and she checked in regularly. The food was really good. The grits and pork belly had good flavor. There is a really nice patio with tons of heaters for cool days.

This is a small breakfast place in liberty station! It is an enclosed patio with heaters so it is nice and cozy. I loved how they had gluten free options and different coffee sizes! I ordered the gluten free French toast with some eggs and bacon and a salted caramel latte. The gluten free French toast was a little crumbly but tasted good. The eggs and bacon were really good. The waiter was attentive and was able to split the bill for us by item no problem. I highly recommend this place during a week day because I think it would rise a while to be seated on a weekend.

Yelp
Food Allergy Friendly! I just want to thank Melissa for waiting on us today. She was truly a breath of fresh air for this allergy mama. Firstly, we asked to sit outside because we are still cautious about covid, and though the patio wasn't set up for it, she got us set up with no hesitation. There was no weirdness, just kindness. When we were sat, we told her our son had a nut allergy, and she reassured us they were big on allergy protocols and made a note of his allergy. It wasn't the typical experience where staff tell you there are no nuts in the food. She understood without further discussion the need for caution with cross contamination, and it was just very reassuring. The service was great, the food was good and the ambiance was great. She was definitely the thing that took our experience to the next level. Thank you Melissa for taking care of us and for understanding that food allergies are serious. You really helped us enjoy a meal as a Family without stress.

Yelp
We came in mid week around 1 PM. The restaurant was recommended to us by the front desk at our nearby hotel. Only 2 other diners were in the restaurant. We sat at the bar. The server was quick to greet us, attentive and friendly. The food was mediocre. The breakfast steak was overcooked, but probably because the piece of meat was so thin. The turkey sandwich had a single slice of turkey. They did have gluten free bread which was considerate. The side salad tasted very good but there was too much dressing. I should've asked for it on the side.
