Figo il Gelato Italiano

Have been coming here for YEARS and absolutely love it. Originally came in for the Dubai chocolate gelato, which is exceptional; but tried a few others as well. The Ferrero Rocher is also another good flavor. They also have monthly special flavors and they’re amazing. The customer service here is also great. I feel at home when I’m here. If you have been to Italy and love the hot chocolate, order it here. NO ONE makes it like they do here in nyc. Overall, ig I could give this place more stars I would. Thank you for bringing a taste of Italy to New York 🩷

Figo Il Gelato Italiano – Astoria Figo has the best ice cream in town. The gelato is incredibly delicious, and they always have interesting flavors that change with the seasons. You can really tell they put thought into creating new combinations. Honestly, every flavor you try, you’re going to love. It’s all just very, very, very tasty. You won’t regret stopping by – give it a try! 🍨✨

This place is absolutely awesome!! The best gelato in all of Queens!! Every month they come out w/new flavors and it never EVER fails. My go to is the pistachio affogato… everything is fantastic here. You will not ever leave disappointed.

Cute little corner store gelato shop. Delicious ice cream, variety of flavors, and the service is also impeccable. If you’re looking for a sweet treat or craving ice cream, this is a great spot. Very great gelato, and a new discovery! They have a very great hot chocolate, with also a variety having no sugar added. Here you can actually taste the premium dark chocolate used. Smooth, creamy and a texture experience like no other. Staff were very kind and helpful

If you’re looking for the real deal, Figo is it. This isn't just "ice cream", nor just hot chocolate—the texture here is incredibly dense, velvety, and smooth, exactly how you’d find it in a boutique gelateria in Rome. You can tell they use premium ingredients; the Pistachio is earthy and rich, not artificially sweet, and the Nocciola (hazelnut) tastes like it was just roasted. Decided to get some cold gelato on a cold day and it was a good choice. Tried the Figo flavor and was not disappointed. Great flavor and super smooth. Service was great too!

This was my first time visiting Figo II Gelato Italiano. My group was craving gelato, and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much. But one spoonful changed everything -- the flavor instantly took me back to Italy! The gelato here tastes just like the kind you find in small Italian gelaterias -- creamy, smooth, and bursting with authentic flavor. Every bite reminded me of warm summer days strolling through cobblestone streets with a cone in hand. The staff were warm and welcoming, adding to that true Italian hospitality, and the shop was spotless and inviting. Thank you, Figo II Gelato Italiano, for serving up such an authentic experience. Wow was this place impressive! I was having dinner at Astoria the other night and this gelato place caught some of my friend's eyes. It is a small little shop so it might be missed in the morning but luckily it was dark out so it was super night compared to the locations around it. Right after dinner, we decided to check out the place and see if we wanted something for dessert. Firstly, they give out free samples! You do not need to be stressed about ordering something that you might not like! I love places that do this because when it comes to gelato, especially anything pistachio, I am very hesitant to purchase it without trying it first. The staff were extremely sweet and were super patient with us while we were figuring out what we were craving. After trying a couple of flavors that popped up to us, I got a scoop of Pistachio gelato to share with my boyfriend and our friends got a scoop of Hazelnut gelato in a cup and a scoop of Hazelnut gelato in a cup (not depicted). The Pistachio gelato was light but still packed with pistachio flavor, nicely nutty and had the perfect balance of sweetness! My boyfriend really isn't a sweets person and he loved it as well! The portion size was perfect! They stack the cups nice and high! All of the gelato that we tried were super creamy making the final decision tough, but we will be back to try more flavors!

Had some time on a hot day and needed something to cool me down. You don't have to twist my arm on getting some gelato. I walked in and was instantly greeted and taken care of. I zero'd in on the Dubai Chocolate. I asked for a regular cup of the one flavor and then was asked an unexpected question, "do you want to mix it with another flavor?" I forgot what the flavor was called but we mixed it with one that was chocolatey and caramel with mixed berries. This was a great recommendation! The two were amazing Finally there is a very cute seating area where you can indulge it the best treat of the summer. What a great place to have in Astoria.

Gelato was so good! We had a sample or 2 to see which one we liked the best. My go to is always hazelnut. Everything was quick. Plenty of napkins to have and a lot of options to choose from. Very small place and there's seating outside.

This gelato place is very delicious! My cousin is allergic to eggs, nuts, and wheat but they have four vegan and dairy-free options! I only ordered a regular but their serving size was very generous. They also gave us our order very quickly and there were a lot of tables to choose from. They have a playful swing photo opp and the place was very light-hearted!

Loved both the flavors I got! I didn't take a picture of when I got "Luca" but it was such a nice refreshing cotton candy flavor that wasn't too sweet. I think the other flavor I got was really good too! I think it was a special of the month for July so I don't remember what it was called but it was a chocolate with some sort of berry crunch which was so good. I really like that they switch things up so often given the limited amount of flavors they offer regularly.

What a beautiful little Gelateria! A huge selection of gelato to choose from, a friend and I popped in this afternoon after eating lunch across the street. The place is beautiful, bright and clean. I really felt like I was in a Greek ice cream shop. We were greeted warmly and served promptly. Anything with the word Nutella in it is for me but it was tough for me choose. I opted for the Nutella muffin and it was a dream. My friend enjoyed her coffee and gelato. We sat in a small table on the sidewalk and it was great. Highly recommend!

It was my first time, though, and my best friend brought me because I had mentioned. I wanted some good ice cream. We walked in and there were two young kids behind the counter. The blonde girl was very impatient, you could tell in their demeanor and how they responded. My friend asked for samples, and I asked and loved it, but ultimately decided on the tricolore, Stracciatella, and rose and pistachio wafer one. The ice cream taste amazing, but the treatment let me not wanting to return also for the smaller cups. There are no lids available so it was either eat it there or risk is going in the car. We have two toddlers with us so taking it home in small with an option, we acted for the bigger cups. There was limited seating. I just wish we had a better experience.

I'm seriously considering the value of paying the toll - in both directions- to make this delicious gelato place a single destination venture into Queens. The fig and ricotta ice cream is a must, and while I typically always stick with mint chip, I'm excited to pair the other flavors with the fig. Friendly staff and the line moves quickly. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Yes, I'll pay the toll and be back.

I always get delivery and the gelato that's ready for delivery orders is stored at a lower temperature so it gets to you solid and not all melted. I personally love the mint flavor, but my favorite has to be the Figo. I do wish that they had covers if you opt to order at the store. If you order three scoop cup of ice cream, it's hard to eat to-go since there's a bit of overfill.

Their gelato is amazing. The flavors have depth and taste fresh and authentic. They have some of the best gelato that I've had outside of Italy. The service is usually pretty good too. It's a small spot, but they have decent seating outside.

This is a really cute shop with delightful displays of delicious gelato and lovely pastries and other delights. Staff were nice, friendly and dedicated to serve you quickly. They have tables outside for you to enjoy your treats. Will make this a favorite over the summer. So many tempting flavors to try! Yummmmy!

Absolutely worth the visit! I've been eyeing this gelato spot for a while and finally decided to go in person. So glad I did. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the gelato is next level. I tried the Figo and Dubai Chocolate... both were rich, flavorful, and seriously delicious. Tons of unique flavors to choose from, including vegan options. Don't sleep on this place!

Figo is delicious. I've been a few times, and I've tried the Lemon, Mango, Dubai Chocolate, Strachiatella, Luca (cotton candy), and tiramisu. I also got one of their brownies to go, last time, and it was amazing. It's some of the best gelato around. Last time we were there, Leena helped us, and she was kind and patient while answering all of our questions. There was very little space inside the actual store, but there was seating outside for those there. We'll definitely be back!

Saturday Night Yum! Yummy Gelato on a Saturday winter night. We popped in around 11pm.... there was a short line along with people sitting outside enjoying their orders. I went with a Tiramisu Cone which was full of flavor and yummy. My BF had a carrot cake which he said was moist and really good. I also took a pistachio cup and a hot chocolate to go. I LOVE gelato and the Tiramisu that I had was some of the best!

This place is a yes!! Just come here for an authentic gelato experience. Wide variety of flavors but not so overwhelming that you can't make a decision. Love the seasonal options too. Favorites here are the baba rhum when they have it; the vanilla and tiramisu. If you're a pistachio lover, then it really doesn't get better than theirs.

The staff is super sweet here. The gelato is nice and thick, but not too gummy. I'd recommend trying one of the staff's picks, we tried the Figo signature flavor and surprisingly loved it!

Gelato. EXCELLENT. Never having Gelato before I was AMAZED at how smooth and creamy this Frozen Treat was and how superior in taste it is compared to AMERICAN Ice Cream. While a bit pricey I feel you get more Bang For Your Buck purchasing a Frozen Treat from FIGO than what you would get from VAN LEEUWEN, AMPLE HILLS or another shop. RECOMMEND.

This is a legit Italian gelato shop with high quality gelato. They have excellent flavors and the ingredients used can differentiate from other not so authentic establishments. The line moves pretty quickly. Service is generally good here. I love that they have chairs outside now that you can enjoy your cup/cone and just chill. I love the Figo flavor - it has figs. I thought it was brilliant and yummy. My second love is the Sicilian pistachio. It tastes just like the ones I got in Sicily. I have to try other flavors but I am quite hooked on these two.

Excellent gelato. The place is small brightly lit with a modern decor. Long lines but the line moves fast. Polite and quick service. They are happy to let you sample the different flavors before you order. There is outdoor seating to enjoy the delicious creamy gelato. They also serve sorbet. I ordered two scoops one was pistachio flavored and the other hazelnut. You can taste the rich hazelnut and pistachio flavor. The gelato is the same as in Rome if not better. Definitely recommend this gelato gem in Astoria.

Best gelato I've had in a very long time. The line out the door proves it, too! The ferrero rocher was delightful, but I could have been happy with the pistachio, mint chocolate, or dark chocolate. The namesake, Figo, was a little too sweet for me. The line moves quickly. It's worth the wait (and price, I'd say). Lots of seating outside.

Just too good to pass up when in the area - or make the trip! Open late to satisfy that midnight crave. Staff always friendly and they give samples! Yogurt + almond + honey, Hazelnut, Figo, are must try.

THIS PLACE IS FIRE AND I WOULD EAT IT EVERY DAY IF I COULD the food: OK I GOT THE DARK CHOCOLATE FLAVOR (VEGAN- i am not vegan but a COOL note bc my friend is dairy-free!) It's an amazing addition to Queens. It's kinda away from other stuff but if you are in the area I highly recommend it. It's a small shop and the prices are fair. I really like how homey the shop feels and I love the variety of the sorbet and gelato. The food: Limone- Fresh lemon. It's so damn good. I thought the lemon was my fav, the flavors really pop and was so refreshing. Fragola- Fresh strawberry. This was really nice. I really love how much it tasted like strawberry. Mango- Fresh mango. This was nice, I did like mango flavor but I felt the consistency was a bit too thick.

The dark chocolate gelato is heaven in a cone. Take it from a chocoholic. The servers were lovely and sweet. The place itself is tiny, but cute covered seating outside.

Someone recommend this gelato shop to me, and I kept it in my list for a long time because it's a trek from me. Luckily, I was in the area one evening and decided to check them out. The shop is on the corner of 23rd Av and 29th St and was very well-lit. The space was clean and the counters were not sticky at all. The staff let me try a few flavors before I settled on a scoop of their caffè ($6.50) which was perfectly dark and creamy. The cuore matto (raspberry cheesecake) was a close second though, but a little too tangy and rich for my tastes. The texture of Figo's gelato is absolutely sublime-- it manages to balance the denseness of gelato with the fluffiness of cream. Definitely worth a revisit for me!

Finally got to try this place after the new owner took over. Pure organic Italian gelato. They have plenty of flavors to choose from. My daughter and I got regular size cups $6.50 each and I believe a large is $8. I got Stracciatella and tiramisu, she got pistachio and some sort of fig flavor. Both were pretty good. They also have a lot of outdoor seating which I liked because you can enjoy it in the nice weather and relax.

The gelato here is amazing, a little expensive but worth it! The staff is friendly and the little outdoor area is perfect to sit and enjoy.

Rebranded - new owners - not sure but damn it still has extraordinarily great gelato! I tried a 2 flavor cup : Figo Ricotta, caramelized figs, amaretti & Pistacchio They taste flowed beautifully. The owner even offered to switch to something else if I wasn't happy. Amazing ! I was extremely happy - such fresh quality, You choose flavors and size for just gelato. If you want to step-up your game, you can try it 3 other ways: PANINO GELATO Warm brioche bun filled with a scoop of gelato FRAPPE THE ITALIAN MILKSHAKE Your choice of gelato blended with fresh milk or spring water if you want to keep light! AFFOGATO When hot meets cold. Vanilla gelato (or your choice) drowned in espresso! I went for the simple 2 cup but will be back to try the Affogato.

The gelato is authentic and on par with what you'd find in good gelaterias in Italy. The service is quick, if there's not a long line. More seating would be nice for people to enjoy their treats, because as of now the style is more "grab and go."

Unfortunately, I liked the prior place more. I'm not a big fan of gelato to begin with but the flavors here didn't really stand out to me. The coffee flavor was the best in my opinion. The passionfruit sorbet is very tart if you like that and the chocolate/cherry flavor was decent as well.

I cannot get enough of Figo. Every time we're in Astoria we try to stop by. On this night we had hazelnut, figo, and ferrero rocher. Per usual the flavors did not disappoint. What I love most about their gelato is that it is not overly sweet yet is packed with flavor. The storefront itself is small, well lit, and extremely clean. With a few table outside, it's the perfect stop whether you're coming from Astoria park or anywhere really. Highly recommend!

Nice corner shop in Astoria with great gelato. They have a variety of flavors that they let you try. The servers are nice and quick. The store is pretty small and they usually have a line, but it usually goes by fast. The Pistacchio was my favorite. The waffle cone wasn't as sweet as I like, but my wife liked it. The price is standard. They also have a couple of tables outside.

So I've been on a gelato kick lately & found this gelato place on a whim! It's not too far from Astoria Park, on the corner of 29th St! It's a small place but there were plenty of flavors to choose from - the girls behind the counter were super sweet & let us sample a flavor or two! One flavor that I haven't seen at other places was ricotta & fig so my mom had to get it! It was pretty good! I stuck with my usual stracciatella & it was satisfying! The little spoons reminded me of Italy & overall my experience went well! I'll probably be back to try another flavor! They also have coffee and other pastries available but my heart was stuck on gelato!

This place is wonderful! The gelato is really phenomenal and flavorful and natural tasting. We tried a smorgasbord of things. Some faves: the Biscotto, Ferrero Rocher, and Ava Gigi gelatos, all were fantastic. We got the salted caramel soufle with them which was a perfect complement. The bomboloni was a bit heavy on the Nutella (maybe some people prefer it that way?) but it was nonetheless delicious. The eclairs looked good but we were too full to try them (eat them tomorrow). The 5 cookies for $3 were also pretty good. Would definitely recommend this place and to try many of their various gelatos and delectable deserts :)

Such a cute gelato spot. They have outdoor seating. So many flavors to choose from. Everything looked so delicious including the few pastries they had. I got dark chocolate and coconut in a cup and my sister got Ferraro rocher on a cone. Super friendly service. Will be coming back again and again for sure.

It's me again. I love this place. I take all my friends here. The pistachio is to die for. I LOVE this place. It's so cute and quaint. Their Manhattan location is also wonderful. I will say the staff is not very cheerful but I don't care because the ice cream is sooooo good you simply MUST try the pistachio I keep coming back here

After brunch we stopped at Figo for some Gelato and a walk through the park. Our first time and most certainly won't be our last. We all got a small cup (2 scoops at 6.50/ea). My scoops: Figo, which consists of Ricotta, caramelized figs, amaretti and the Amarena (dark cherry). Oh my God. A flavor explosion. Both solid flavors, creamy, absolutely delicious. Both flavors represent their exact ingredients. I couldn't have been happier with my choices. A+ My daughter got the Ferrero Rocher, which consisted of Chocolate Hazelnut gelato topped with Ferrero Rocher pieces. Her second choice was Cioccolato al Latte, which is milk chocolate Gelato. Very chocolaty. Deep chocolate flavor throughout. She was VERY happy. The hubs got Pistachio and Figo, as well. The pistachio flavor was pistachio to a T. The flavor absolutely represented everything pistachio encompasses. All very good. $21, which is kinda steep but absolutely well worth it and I don't mind spending that again whenever a craving calls. Highly recommend. Do NOT sleep on Figo. Run, not walk and get yourself some. Sadly - no photos.

I cannot say enough great things about this gelato shop! Firstly, Astoria needed a gem like this one. Their gelato is of the highest quality around and the staff are always helpful and willing to explain all of the flavors. The shop itself is beautiful and in a great location, it's hard to miss. All of the flavors are fantastic that it is hard to choose. I love that they have a variety of dairy free options as well!

Been to Italy and I think this gelato spot brings me back. It's delicious and I'm eager to go there everyday after dinner!! the texture is ridiculously smooth. I had Aramena amore mío and tiramisu. Both have alcohol. The aramena amore mío is amazing!! Perfectly tart but not overly sweet. In my opinion, the tiramisu had too much wine but regardless, I would recommend this gelato spot 10000%. There is outdoor seating but it's limited. We were the second group there to order and all the seatings were available. After we ordered, everyone has taken a seat and was completely packed within 5 minutes. Snag a seat while one person orders!! Anyway, I'll be back I cannot wait to try all of their flavors!

Found this lovely gelato shop just off the main strip in Astoria. They are very generous with their scoop. The pistachio was delicious as was their fig flavor. Seating available outside with heaters.

Amazing ice cream and pastry. Tiramisu and Ferrero Choc taste smooth and rich. Also ordered some pastry they all taste superb.

This place transports you directly to Italy. In fact it is even better than some gelato I had in Italy. I had the bacio which was like eating nutella in gelato form and the figo which was pure absolute perfection. A week later and I am planning to figure out how to get more! This place is a must try!

When it comes to gelato/ice cream in Astoria, this place is hands down above all others. They have plenty of seating outside and even live music for the ambiance. The service is the only thing I think could use some improvement. The main gentleman there was very quick and professional but unfortunately he was training two kids who were having difficulty scooping gelato/refilling containers. They were kind of just standing around. I get everyone has to learn but they are becoming way too busy to have amateurs working there! Otherwise great place and will definitely come again!

Haven't had gelato in a while, but caved in when I saw the menu and we ordered the lemon and the ferrero rocher for delivery. I was not disappointed. It was delicious! So smooth, not too sweet, and you just want to take another bite. Perfect post meal snack. If you're feeling gelato, this is a great place to grab some!

Cure Italian gelato place in a great part of the neighborhood. There was a line out the door when we got there, but it's because the inside is small and it was a beautiful day outside so more people are out. The Ferraro Rocher flavor was delicious! I ordered a large, but the cups they were serving were small, they might have run out of large cups so I can't say. A bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it if you're coming once in a while. I'll come back for sure. The fact that there are other restaurants and bars nearby makes this a great go-to for the end of a date or after dinner with family or friends.
