Figs - Review - Boston - The Infatuation

"There are a number of unusual combinations available for the flatbread-style pizzas at Fig’s, including a pie that’s topped with crispy calamari. Since that means we don’t have to dip our calamari in tomato sauce, which inherently lowers the chance of sauce on the sheets, we’re all for it. Place an order online for delivery. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Ordered the carbonara, calamari, eggplant sliders, and the fig & prosciutto pizza for delivery. Despite being a delivery order, the calamaris were still crispy, and I liked the creamy sauce on the side. The baked figs on the pizza had a sugary texture and it seemed like they were doing a partial fig jam spread on the pizza. I personally don’t mind my pizza being sweet, so the combination of the sweet fig and the salty prosciutto was nice. Carbonara was authentic and better than some places in North End. Only thing that I thought was average were the eggplant sliders. The amount of cheese on the eggplants was overwhelming and the eggplants were also mediocre.

The food that we ordered was pretty bad. The spinach and tomato soup was a brothy mix of literally cut tomatoes, raw spinach and some shredded cheese. The garlic spinach was just raw spinach sprinkled with oil and crushed garlic at the bottom. We ordered the macaroni which is vegetarian by defaul. There’s options to add meat at an additional cost. Even though I never mentioned adding the meat, the server assumed that we want bacon and brought the dish out with bacon added. We had to send it back and reorder. Thankfully the cheese pizza was decent enough to feed our very hungry party of 6 otherwise the overall quality was below average. And the pricing was quite aggressIve for the quality of food. The chicken sliders were decent. Overall, I would not recommend

The pizza here is really good. I look forward to eating it again. The food was the star of the show. That said, here's why I did now give five stars; the chocolate "lava" cake had good flavor but was cooked incorrectly and there was no molten middle. The would not let us make a reservation for 7:00 so we did 6:30, at 7:00 and for some time after, half the tables were still avaliable. The pizza was at the pass for a while. I saw staff talking, walking by it, and doing other things while our food was sitting there. Finally, I'm not cheap; I'll spend a lot on a good meal and/or a drink, but they charge $4 for a diet coke. $4! That's just not right.

😎how many times have you been to this place? 1 👩🏻summary: randomly visited this place to get Italian for dinner. 🍕food: ordered olive,V($19), carbonara($19) and a bottle of pellegrino. Pasta was good, pizza was just ok- nothing special but the dough was less chewy and soft. 💬service: problem arose when the server brought two bottles of sparkling water instead of one bottle. I told him immediately that I just ordered one. Seems like he pretended not to hear me and left the bottles on the table. 😳 💁🏻‍♀️would I revisit this place? Probably not because of the service. Just mind that there’s a venue fee-

My husband brought me here on a date, it was our first time. The food was absolutely delicious and presentation was beautiful. The Ambiance was quaint and romantic for us at least we were sat by the window. There was definitely some regulars there and it was nice to see the relationship with the bartender. We ordered the calamari which was perfect texture , flavor and cooked. We also had some chicken parm sliders which where yummy. satisfy that craving. My husband got the shrimp scampi which was to die for. Plenty of shrimp and the wine sauce was perfect. We also got a spicy chicken sausage and fig Pizza which we enjoyed it thoroughly and so did our children with the leftovers LOL. We will definitely be coming back. And if you're thinking of visiting the area definitely give them a try.

Google
Went to Fig's for the first time last weekend. We were in the area for the first time looking at open houses in Charlestown and wanted a filling meal after a long day. We came to this restaurant as a recommendation form a few friends. Small location, but love how the pizza oven is open and you can see the pizza's being made. We ordered two pizzas (fig/prosciutto and the crispy eggplant). Both pizza's were excellent, but I would say only get the fig pizza if you love fig and balsamic. It was good, but I definitely want to try a different pizza and some of the pasta dishes next time. Overall, great experience and delicious food. We can't wait to go back.

Google
I ordered the chicken parm and it was great!! However, the cheese pizza I got arrived like it had already been eaten— or thrown across a room and had hair on the side. Tried to call to get it fixed but the phone didn’t ring the full amount before someone on the other end declined the call… :( For a bill over $100 for 4 items- I guess if you want to eat here, make sure you do it within the restaurant so you can get immediate service.

Me and my friend walked rap the monument and on our way back home we stopped in this restaurant. Waiter was very nice, they gave us garlic bread and olives. We had gnocchi and something with eggplant and apple dessert. So cozy and nice. Food was delicious! We couldn’t be more satisfied! Love it! 😍

Yelp
Is there reservation link no longer active? Visiting Boston soon. Had a fabulous meal at Figs last time we were visiting the city.

Yelp
The cheese pizza was very good but a bit too salty. The meatballs with the fresh bread was quite nice. Overall I enjoyed my time but I think there is nothing special about this place. It is not bad, it just over time there is a lot of places just like this. Back in the day it was innovative but now it's not.

Yelp
We ordered pickup and they never out the order in. When we went to pick up the food they barely acknowledged their mistake. When I then went to use their restroom it was filthy, had no toilet paper and no soap. This is my last time ever going to Figs. What used to be a favorite spot has gone so downhill they've lost a decades long customer.

Yelp
Busy Saturday night this weekend. The host/waiter/bus was great. They were booked with reservations but he went outta his way to get our party of SEVEN in. Service was good and the food was very good. Additionally all seven in our party said their meals were great as well. Little slow on the service but that's fine. We'll be back sooner than later. Oh The mac n cheese, prosciutto & fig pizza, calamari app, portobello pizza and the bolognese pasta I had/tried were all definitely delicious.

Yelp
Order a delivery through DoorDash. When my driver arrived arrived 30 min after I placed my order, the order was not ready to be picked up. Driver spoke to them and said they forgot to make my food. He sent me a picture (attached) and the restaurant was literally empty. I called the restaurant and whoever answered the phone was super rude and gave me an excuse saying they had a larger order ahead of me. Meanwhile the driver had to wait for for 1 hour to get the order ready to be delivered. Such a joke of customer service and restaurant. No wonder the restaurant was basically empty. Got my food over 40 min from expected time, the pizza was not great and quality was far below what once was.

Yelp
Two weeks ago we ordered dinner online from Figs in Charlestown. When we arrived to pick it up we found a note on the door that Figs was closed for renovations. We were next notified by email that we'd receive a refund to our credit card. That hasn't happened. In the meanwhile we left two phone messages asking about the refund and haven't been called back. The restaurant's recorded phone message states the staff is busy helping other customers, giving a false impression that Figs is open when they're clearly not. So the phone message hasn't been updated, there's no indication when renovations may be completed, and they still have our money without delivering our order. Caveat emptor.

Yelp
Terrible food . Terrible service Ordered mac and cheese . Dry and missing the English peas . Order a half Bronx bomber and half crispy calamari pizza. It was missing the entire CALAMARI and who ever cut the pepperoni , left the casing on all of the pieces . Had to individually take them off. Who ever is running the kitchen needs some more training . Horrible experience overall

Yelp
The service here is always slow even though I'm the place is always empty. they never pick up their phone, they're always out of utensils unless the workers are just too lazy to get it for you.

Yelp
I have mixed views on figs. I think they can be good but are inconsistent. Some examples- the pizza is pretty good but I have had issues with pickups before (like 45 minutes delayed from the original pickup time). I think the place itself is cute but it is small. The fried calamari is absolutely terrible, like the worst I have ever had, but the bolognese is fabulous.. so really I go back and forth on whether I like it here. I think they CAN be really good but I guess you have to hit them on a good day.

Yelp
We happened by chance to have lunch at Figs today. Greeted warmly by Yantel and we sat at the warm and inviting bar. Had a glass of wine and ordered their yummy garlic fries. Then saw their pizza oven and ordered their Isabelle pizza. Such a great crust and sweet onion. Today they were out if asparagus but added extra ham. Hope to meet Cheff Todd but not today.

Yelp
Good, but could get better. The food is delicious so A for that. The tuscan bolognese is mind blowing. The pizzas are all crowd pleasers. Great wine choices. The staff is great. The space is the biggest drawback a bit small and cramped. It's looking very run down -- could use a top to bottom cleaning and spruce up of paint. The bathrooms are horrifying, dirtier and worse than a gas station off the highway on multiple visits, which knocks the whole experience down a peg and makes me hesitant to bring anyone here. For that reason, I mostly get takeout. They do a very busy and big takeout business. You do have to be pretty assertive to get your stuff. Even when it's ready I've had to wait ten to twenty minutes just to get a staff members attention to find it in the dozens of boxes/bags to hand me it which is a little silly. But they are super busy so I get it.

Yelp
I regularly order takeout from here, atleast a couple of times a month. However, my most recent experience was disappointing. My favorite appetizer is the Fried Calamari, but this time they didn't add any hot peppers. Also, they always provide bread in your order, regardless of how big or small the order is. The bread was also left out in my recent takeout. I sincerely hope this was an off-day since I love this place and wouldn't want to see the quality go down. I will return again in the hopes of getting back to their original quality.

Yelp
Came as a family of four while staying the night with our boys down the street at the Marriott. Completely shocked that a place with Todd English's name on it could be such a disaster. There's clearly a lack of staff, management and oversight. Good/drinks are overpriced for what you get. $15 for a glass of Cabernet? Sangria offered on the menu was really just the bartender putting red, Prosecco, and ginger ale in a glass. Bolognese was delicious, but my husband's fig and prosciutto pizza was awful. Why would you just throw a large slice of cold deli meat on a pizza? Anywhere we've gone to get a similar kind of pizza, the prosciutto is chopped up and cooked with the pizza in the oven so it's crispy. Service was slow, zero ambiance, big disappointment. Save your money.

Yelp
Cheese Pizza is amazing! Ate outside on a warm evening. Service is very friendly and they made a nice wine recommendation.

Yelp
As far as I understood, FIGs was open until 11pm. I popped by at 9:45 pm for a take out pizza. I asked for a crispy eggplant pizza, half with prosciutto on top. The very lovely bartender let me know that they would be happy to accommodate. Fast forward to opening my pizza at home. Half prosciutto, fig and Gorgonzola, and half cheese...with four squares of eggplant on top of a clearly unsold cheese pizza. No issue; except that the last time I ordered a pizza after 9:00 pm, we received a pizza with toppings barely baked onto a clearly unused cheese pizza. Gave this place another shot...disappointing that it wasn't an anomaly the first time. Expect better from a place that charges over $22 per pie. Next time, won't go local for pick up and will just order from any of the 20-30 pizza places that delivers a better pizza than FIGs.

Michael F.

Yelp
I ordered 2 pizza today for the Patriots game. The Calimari pizza was fine....this was my pepperoni pizza.....$23.00. You decide where you spend your $$.

Yelp
I can't say enough about Figs. The food is consistently good! This is my go to spot in Charlestown. The chicken parm is one of the best I've had. I accidentally ordered an eggplant parm entree for delivery the other night and it was excellent. The food is fresh and hot! Portions are large. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Really sad to be writing this review but as a long time patron of Figs I was really upset by my last order! I have been a fan of the spicy chicken sausage pizza for years, I was recently back in town visiting and I got a pizza delivered. When I opened the box I was shocked to find that they no longer have their spicy chicken sausage that I know and love, instead I got huge chunks of dry shredded chicken (see photo). It almost looked like the stuff you see at bbq restaurants. This certainly isn't the sausage that used to make this pizza great! Please bring back the old chicken sausage!!

Yelp
went to Figs last night and boy have they gone down hill. the ice machine was broke. they had no soda, coffee or tea our waitress said that had nothing to do with ice machine but they just didn't carry those. If you don't drink your only option is tap water no lemons. They were out of fettuccine for the bolognese. food was ok. the fig and prosciutto pizza which used to be delicious had uncooked prosciutto draped across top. Overall extremely disappointing no wonder there was nobody in there on a Saturday evening.

Yelp
We are visitors from out of town, came here hungry but left disappointed and hungry. Our beet salad had no dressing and exactly five small pieces of beet at $15.00 a plate (the goat cheese was enough but this is a beet salad and not goat cheese salad). We ordered chicken dish, chicken served dry and chewy in unrecognizable dark cream sauce (eww). We sent it back to the chef to reflect, paid for the beer and overpriced salad, and left. Server was great. We think that this place is great for pizza, as we observed.

Yelp
Great service. Addicting bread to start, with garlic and parmesan, which you can dip in a nice olive oil. Love the fig pizza, with fresh prosciutto on top. The mushroom pizza with truffle oil was also delicious.

Yelp
Maybe they regressed to the Yelp mean. In my last review, I couldn't understand the low star rating. The past 3 or 4 times, I don't know if I'm getting their best or a mediocre pie. A few times now, I've had an overcooked and dry eggplant pizza, or a cold soggy calamari pizza. To make matter's worse is the service (for takeaway, mind you) is not cool. Not only have they been rude, in not an enduring kind of way, but have also don't appear to know where my pizza is in the queue. I watched in horror as my pizza sit there for 15 extra minutes because the host and/or server assured me it was still in the works. I really like that Figs has these big pizzas with creative toppings. When the operation is running smoothly, this is some of the best pizza in Boston (and New England, Frankly). But for the price, its been too much of a hit or miss thing. That and recent discoveries of new, exciting pizza options nearby means I won't be coming back as frequent. Sad face.

Yelp
We finally made it to Figs, after hearing about it for many years!! The gentleman at the door was very welcoming. Ambience was decent. The place is a bit run down and outdated. They brought delicious bread and oil to the table. We ordered a s quinoa salad bowl to share by us two, and a portobello mushroom and red onion pizza. It was delicious!!!! I would give it four stars def for the food!! But I just can't do it because of the place being so run down...

Yelp
My first experience at fig's was before the pandemic and I remember it as being quieter and more intimate, and I enjoyed everything I ate I returned on July 15, to meet a fellow friend who had been there the first time to and it is now a restaurant of hard surfaces very noisy the food was not as good as it was or had been. I could've been eating at any pizzeria in Boston there was nothing special about it. With the front door open the air conditioning wasn't on and I couldn't eat my food after while because it was just too hot, and it took it's toll on the wait staff. We had lovely service. My waitress looks so tired I wantedTo have her sit down and let me wait on her. Yes I have done food service in many ways. Taught English to get his head out of his ass and take better care of his staff

Yelp
Went for lunch on a Monday. The place was empty and the service was awful. Ordered Diet Pepsi and it seemed like a real caper to figure out if they had it. Ordered 2 pizzas and they forgot one. Gave us 2 waters and never came back until the delivered the check. Super disappointing. That said, the pizza was good so if you like the thin crust style, ORDER TAKEOUT.

Yelp
Fried Calamari Pizza?! Gosh I wish I would have ordered that! This pizza had quality toppings and deff filled me up! Loved the ricotta and eggplant topping!
google avatar

Yelp
I use to work in Charlestown and the company I worked with would order the pizza from Figs at least one a month! In the beginning I thought the pizza was decent but over time I found the pizza to be very boring and dry. Obviously, this is not your average pizza and if you go in expecting the speciality pizza it is worth a try. Since I've had food from there so much I would not go back but I think for others it would be worth checking out. Great location. Parking is limited.

Yelp
Todd English should be embarrassed. Please just close this place. The plates were dirty and the silverware spotted and greasy and this was the highlight of our lunch. Service was horrendous so I appreciated the 18% gratuity added on. The Caesar salad advertised as gluten free croutons were not gluten free. The shrimp added were cooked beyond recognition and had so much salt (I like salt by the way) they could not be consumed by a rabid dog. The dressing on the beet salad that was way overdressed, just horrible. Todd, please shut this train wreck down so a real restaurant can take over.

Ted M.

Yelp
This place has gone downhill fast. Quality is extremely unreliable and seems to be getting worse. After years of support, I'm finally done - not worth the risk of catching them on an off night which now seems to be the norm.

Yelp
I'm not a huge fan of 5 star reviews (I respect the hell out of a solid 4 star review), moreover I believe it's hard to make a case for a 5 star review on a single visit, that being said, here goes... We Made a reservation, arrived a lil early and was seated immediately by Andrew, Impressions of the restaurant were all positive, clean, tastefully appointed, and adequately lit. Personal, good musical choices, fun, and sports on quietly at the bar. Kelsey took our orders and made us smile. We ordered A bottle of Malbec, side of meatballs, Chicken Parm Sliders, and Calamari. The bottle of Malbec had no chance against my wife and I, (we arrived thirsty) and it was good. Chicken Parm Sliders were a perfect lil taste to quell the craving for chicken parm. The Calamari were PERFECT, listen, perfect!! The fresh batter, (perfectly seasoned not some simple premix batter) Fried in FRESH OIL, served with peppers and tasty house marinara. The meatballs were delicious, but far too small and we intended to bring leftovers home to a couple teenagers... (parental fail) For the entrees I ordered the special shrimp scampi which was delicious, the pasta was perfect but the shrimp were the star of the show, they were very generous portions of shrimp (maybe I got lucky but certainly exceeded my expectations) I hunted shrimp through the pasta, even contemplated using my phone flashlight to ensure I didn't leave any behind.. We also ordered a spicy chicken sausage pizza which was a solid meal by itself, (most we brought home for breakfast if kids don't find it on the top shelf, where it belongs!!) This was dinner on a Monday night my friends, Tuesday won't be able to compete...

Kasey M.

Yelp
Dry, bland, expensive. This is the third time we've tried Figs and the third time we've been disappointed. We've gotten a different pie each time and we've been very underwhelmed each time - asking ourselves just how this dry, floury, flavorless thing was $25+ Most recently we got the Portobello Pizza to go and we found it lacking in flavor completely with no hint at all of truffle. We ended up adding Parmesan and truffle oil of our own to be able to get any flavor. We left the crust untouched because it was dry and powdery with flour. Previously we have dined in and gotten the Spicy Chicken Sausage, and before that the Fig & Prosciutto to go and each time it was similarly disappointing. Toppings slopped on without a care, with over-saturated areas and large pockets of nothing. And the dry, powdery crust is apparently a persistent theme. Some may like it but we do not. Safe to say we've given it a good, honest try over the past several months. We want to like it because it's so convenient and close but every single time we end up regretting spending so much on something that is just so bland.

Kaitlyn L.

Yelp
Delivery was the worst I've ever had by far. Everything incorrect and cold despite the 5 minute drive. Ordered toward the end of the night and guaranteed they gave me what was sitting around. All they said was that Door Dash would just refund me - did not apologize once or offer to resolve the issue. No notification of changes on my order (meaning they thought an appropriate sub for my $25 salmon bacon and spinach salad was a plain green side salad). I will never be back.

Yelp
I've lived in Charlestown since 2009 and This place used to be our go to in Charlestown for gourmet, solid, delicious pizza. Recently changed their pizza completely. It's smaller, inconsistent in shape more of an oblong oval and the toppings aren't nearly the quality they used to be but the prices are the same if not more. They'll also charge you $15 for mixed greens and a boring dressing. Just go elsewhere, the pizza at $24/pie isn't good anymore.
google avatar

Yelp
The best bread and oil we have ever had!!! So delish I could eat 10 baskets of it! Pizzas were so good and the outdoor seating was great when it was open(closed the seating for the winter)

Yelp
After playing tourist at the USS Constitution, my friend and I wandered over to Todd's English Figs for an early dinner. I'm a little old school, so if you've got a dish named after the owner, the owner's family member, or the name of a key ingredient is also in the name of the restaurant, odds are that you've got a good dish to order. No one is going to name a dish after their mom if it isn't amazing. That being said, you have to try their signature fig and prosciutto pizza! I am not normally a salty sweet person, but with a perfectly done thin crust and a nice ratio of figs and proscuitto... I still dream of this pizza. The Red Sox pizza we ordered was also excellent, if a little more traditional fare. We were not let down by the burrata special appetizer (my friend had never tried it before, then proceeded to hog the dish), brussels sprouts with bacon (classic, a little greasy, but no one was upset about it). Overall, excellent customer service in a beautiful casual bistro space with lovely indulgent food!

Yelp
Five stars - this jewel was discovered by my daughter and we absolutely loved everything ! Had the most amazing salad- goat cheese and pistachio w greens - to die for! Then pizza to follow which was seriously excellent! This is a must stop and eat place if you are in the area! Five stars!!

Yelp
Great service and the food was even better! Ordered a couple pizzas for the table which was plenty of food for the table! Spicy chicken sausage was the best!

Yelp
Having a Groupon about to expire to redeem, the fiance and I made our way to Figs on a beautiful Saturday for some lunch. We arrived right around 12:30, parked up the street and walked into a deserted restaurant. There was only one table with 4 patrons and us. Standing there, in the front for a solid two minutes before a waitress finally appeared and greeted us. Shrugging it off, we hoped that their menu and the rest of the experience would help redeem their poor start. Unfortunately that was never the case... Despite the restaurant being near empty and having only two tables to service, we were almost completely ignored. No apologies either, just a very careless staff member who barely seemed to care about the fact that we were here to eat. This was not to be expected from Todd English restaurant - we were kind of stunned to be honest but despite all of that we still powered through the frustrations and looked forward to some hopefully good pizza. That was lived short as our waitress screwed up our drink order and brought us regular root beers instead of diet ones. But that wasn't that big of a deal... We were mostly hungry. I ordered the roasted beets salad ($10) which came sprinkled with some goat cheese. It was very average and the beets were inconsistently cooked. Some were very soft, other bites were hard and there was way too much dressing. My fiance's warm bacon and spinach salad ($8) was good but extremely salty. So far, not good... We then decided to oder up some pizza since everyone on here seemed to claim that it was great - our waitress had told us earlier that we could pick two and they could make one pie with two different halves - we proceeded to do that and selected the fig and prosciutto one and the Bronx Bomber which is essentially a pepperoni one. A little while later it arrived and the pizza's dough was chewy and not so great. As a matter of fact, the fig and prosciutto half was almost uneatable. Way, way, way too sweet from the balsamic and featuring absolutely no balance in the flavors and ingredients. There was barely any prosciutto but way too much fig. Just plain bad. The other half was much better but then again when is pepperoni pizza ever all that bad? Honestly I feel betrayed by Yelp for this one. Everyone raved about it being some of the best (if not the best) pizza in Boston and I can honestly say that not only is the place sloppy, but the pizza isn't very good. I've had much better pizza at Santarpio's, Posto and Gran Gusto. Much, much better as a matter of fact. Better ingredients, better flavor balance and better value as well. This place doesn't just serve bad food, but they charge a lot as well. Some part of me is going to regret not giving it one star but the fact remains that we still ate some of our food and it wasn't the worst experience of our life. However this was a major disappointment and add to the fact that the bathroom was absolutely disgusting and I can honestly say that I still never set food in there again. Todd English should be ashamed for having his name on that menu, and ashamed for running such a poor restaurant.

Peggy S.

Yelp
The food is absolutely subpar and overpriced. Not to mention, the restaurant has NO atmosphere, and is very cheaply furnished. We had the mussels and spicy broccoli for starters. The mussels (quality) and broth were about the worst I've ever tasted. Nothing worked together in this recipe and it was way too salty. The spicy broccoli was honestly horrendous. It was way too over spiced, and it felt like it was burning the entire inside of your mouth off. You could not even taste anything not to mention the broccoli was way undercooked and the flavors just simply did not work. The pizza actually was the best thing going with the crust being the differentiator. We got the chicken sausage, which wasn't very good, and had ricotta cheese that was over seasoned with too much rosemary. Although, they look to have many pizzas on the menu that could've been better choices. regardless, there is so much great food in Boston, and there is no reason to overpay for such horrible food.

Yelp
Giving Figs the lowest possible review is very painful for me because until recently it was my favorite restaurant in Charlestown. But as you can see if you sort the reviews with newest on top, something has gone terribly wrong - and the problem is ongoing. On each of my last 5 hopeful (well decreasingly hopeful) experiences something major went wrong (and i'm not a high maintenance customer). These include inedibly charred pizza burnt beyond recognition (uncompensated by restaurant); waitress rudeness; not answering the phone on a saturday (all night) even after the sister restaurant in boston talked to them and encouraged them to pick up; they no longer accept credit cards; formerly consistent favorites taste bad. One remaining positive, they deliver speedily and the delivery guy is about the nicest and most helpful person ever.

Yelp
Food: They allow you order pizza 1/2 one topping and 1/2 another so I've broken it out below. 1/2 Figs & Proscuitto - Everyting is on top of a crispy thin flatbread in a rectangular form served on an upside town metal tray. Wonderful tang from the balsamic jam balances well against the saltiness from the proscuitto. Everything just melded well together especially the sweetness from the figs that offset the tangingess and saltiness. 1/2 Crispy Shrimp - This was on their specials menu. The crispy shrimp came out smelling great but not as numerous as I wanted. I'm not saying there wasn't enough but they could have been a bit more generous with it. The heavy garlic flavor definitely was the key though and brought everything together. Mac and cheese - Definitely not your average mac and cheese. We ordered this cause we were just curious. This was basically alfredo sauce replacing chedder cheese you would normally use. Tasted amazing. Location: The Charlestown location is not particularly large but there is a small bar and good number of tables and chairs. There was also plenty of people coming in to pick up pizza so this place does a fair amount of take out. Service: We came Sunday for dinner and the bartender was taking care of pretty much everytying. He gave menu, took order, filled our water, served our drinks. Even with tables getting filled up he still did a good job being everywhere at once. Verdict: Definitely will be back to try the other menu items.

Yelp
Figs is a real Charlestown gem! When I realized there was a Todd English in Boston I had to check it out as I absolutely LOVE the Todd English Plaza Hotel Food Hall in NYC. So I went in with high expectations and we got exactly what we were looking for. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter named Andre who kept us laughing during our entire meal. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara which was incredible! The pasta was al dente and the pancetta was thick and cooked perfectly, also the peas were a nice touch I havent had before. They have a big brick pizza oven and cook the pizzas fresh right in the dining room and you can watch. Such a great place my family loved it! Also its only a block away from the famous Bunker Hill Monument and the Freedom Trail so it was a great lunch stop for us all while we followed the trail. Highly recommend! Will be back to try more!

Yelp
Stopped in for a glass of wine and a appetizer while touring around Boston on the Freedom Trail. Good wines by the glass for me and my wife. We chose the Burrata from the app menu. They brought bread and police oil. The focaccia was OUTSTANDING. The burrata was great too; came with a green salad, grape tomatoes and a mixture of tomatoes and roasted red peppers. Just wow! We should have stayed for more but we had more sightseeing to do. Would go back for dinner as the food looked great.

Yelp
Fig's is dirty. It needs a complete overhaul, including some upgraded air conditioning. The floors are dirty and scratched, chairs are rocky, tables are scratched. The sticker that they removed for an on-line menu is still partially stuck in the middle of the table. I sent 2 water glasses back because they were sporting someone else's lipstick. Painted walls are dark and dingy. My two stars are only because the food is usually good (not always as of late). The staff is awesome...very polite and efficient. We were charged 3 percent additional on our bill so that the staff in the kitchen could get tipped. Seriously, Todd English, can't you figure this out for your hard workers? Spend some of your millions and fix Figs. I won't be back.

Yelp
This is a cute and cozy little Italian place in the heart of downtown Boston. We ordered a half and half pizza. One side was very satisfying, the other side, not so much. The fig and prosciutto was not my cup of tea/ they give you three slices of prosciutto and lots of figs. Well, the issue is I hate figs. The sweetness of the fig overwhelmed the whole pizza, and there was not enough prosciutto to combat it. The calamari pizza was good, but the calamari was kind of too oily for me. service was great and and very attentive, but the food was only average.

Yelp
The service here is atrocious. I wish it was a one off but the last two times I've eaten here, the service has made me want to leave. The wait staff is disinterested and the food comes out at different times. The establishment also charges a mandatory 18% gratuity on all dine in orders. On the plus side, the pizzas are decent. I'd order pizza for take out but won't dine in or order other items.

Yelp
This place was sooo good! The atmosphere and people were so nice and the pizza is really good. You can definitely split it with 4 people and the meatball sliders were also tasty. Will be coming back!

Yelp
The pizza was tasteless! The service was terrible. The waitress couldn't be bothered. She looked annoyed to be there and couldn't care less about our table.
