Tonight I came to dine here based on a recommendation from a chef friend, and it was definitely the right choice! The food quality is truly impressive — every dish was cooked with great skill. We ordered the Creamy Pasta, Fisherman Pasta , Plankstek, Swedish Meatball, and Fish Cake. All were delicious, but the Plankstek deserves a special mention. The beef was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The sauce paired beautifully with the mashed potatoes and vegetables. Really outstanding! Service was friendly, ambiance was cozy, and the overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommended! Will definitely come back again.

My sister and I were here on a Saturday, a bit past lunchtime so our entire meal was delightfully peaceful and quiet. My sister had the pickled herring salad and I had the fisherman’s pasta. We both ordered the pumpkin spice latte and shared the Swedish pancakes for dessert. The dishes were well-portioned, and the ingredients used were very fresh. The staff were also very helpful and thoughtful. We were told there was a technical issue so our orders weren’t sent in for a while - my sister and I were busy (writing in our journal/playing a puzzle book) so we didn’t realize the passing of time. Still, they offered us water and soup for the inconvenience which was really appreciated. The soup was warm and delicious as well 💕 We will definitely come back again for the service and food ☺️

Spotted this cosy Swedish restaurant at a corner of a building stretch, with a lovely ambience being situated close to Haji Lane. Had their Fika all-day breakfast, consisting of a variety of different items, which I found to be filling and full of flavour. My personal favourite item might be the roast potatoes, it worked really well with the spinach and mushrooms. The kroppkaker, a cheese and potato cake-like dish, wraps up a mix of mushrooms and bacon and is paired with a sweet and slightly tart lingonberry jam. There are also vinegary cucumber slices, which adds a refreshing crunchy texture to the overall experience and contrasts the sweet jam perfectly. When eaten with the dill sprig garnish, it brings out a robust flavour that marries every element in a bite. There's a well-balanced, delicate flavour throughout the dishes which took me by surprise as I rarely have meals that thoughtfully prepare every potential step of the consumption experience. As I don't have a wide range of reference for authentic Swedish cuisine, it's difficult for me to say that this specifically captures a taste aligning to its origins; however, I did have a great time and thoroughly enjoyed myself having tried it without any expectations. I'd like to try the meatballs and cakes the next time I visit, it looks quite appetising in a lot of photos. To the staff that served us, thank you for a great time and keep up the good work! It isn't easy to run a food business in Singapore, especially when you feel pressured to cater to many subjective tastes. Ultimately it is a universal struggle to maintain that equilibrium in a sensitive environment, and for what it's worth, I believe you're doing great. I wish you prosperity in the coming year and many more to come!

Google
We ordered the Planstek, Swedish Meatballs and the apple crumble pie! I highly recommend the Swedish Meatballs—the sauce eaten with the meatballs was a highlight for me! If you enjoy a dessert thats not too sweet, the apple crumble pie is perfect. It was warm, and drizzled with cream and topped with fresh berries 🌟. Overall the service was fantastic, huge thanks to Siti for being so friendly and helping us decide which drinks to order! (She recommended the Watermelon Peach Cooler!) 10/10 would come again 😁💕

Came on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Seated on the second level and it was very cozy. Selection of food is good and portion is great. Grilled chicken is a bit too salty and Pumpkin Latte quite sweet too. But overall the food taste good. The young boy with glasses that serve us might be having a super super bad day, totally no smile at all. Initially took out orders with his memory than came back with a tablet to confirm the orders but 2 was wrong….so should I say that we are lucky that he came back to reconfirm the orders? Maybe he should take a rest if he’s not feeling good. The other servers are friendly thou. Overall quite like the food and place and will be back again.

Google
We thought the food was alright for a halal restaurant. Their mushroom soup was prefect. Thick, creamy and umami. We also liked their beef stew as the paprika taste was very strong! The meat was cooked to tenderness. I did not quite fancy the lamb stew as I thought it was mildly done & seasoned. Less umami and more bland

Google
Made a reservation at Fika and the team was efficient, even allowing us to pre-order our meals in advance. We were warmly welcomed by the staff upon arrival, which set a great tone for the evening. The ambience was cozy, clean, and perfect for large group gatherings. Highly recommend the Swedish meatball dish — it was delicious! Would love to see more side dishes or sharing plates added to the menu for variety.

Our first visit to this place, love the ambience at 2nd floor so cozy, there's a little reading corner too. Must try their Chicken Mushroom Crepe, super yummy and I want the recipe too, really yummy. My kid ordered a pasta, looks not appealing but when eating the pasta, wow love the sauce, so tasty! Their cod fish cake is superb too with a touch of dill makes it even tastier. Price on the medium range side, overall good experience here. We parked at City Gate to walk over, easy to walk and find the place.

Yelp
Clean, yummy coffee, and air conditioned. That is basically all you can ask for when in Singapore.

Yelp
Fika is probably the first, and only, Muslim-Swedish cafe around. It's run by Muslims and located in the Malay heritage Kampong Glam area, so Malay people who've always despaired at never being able to eat Swedish meatballs now finally have an avenue to do so! The meatballs are decent, though they're never going to taste the same without pork in them. I also had the roasted chicken crepes when I was there, which was quite a sizeable portion and tasty. It's got quite a nice ambience, level 1 is a little cramped but level 2 is much more spacious and has a fireplace sitting room like area giving it a nice homey ambience.

Yelp
While the ambience and interior of the cafe looked oh-so enticing, my expectations of the food did not quite match up. It didn't score that well, in my opinion. I didn't get the impression that we were eating authentic Swedish food, it was just another general Western food cafe to me. I was there on a quiet day and my friends and I were quickly ushered to a table. I had the Swedish Pasta Bake (Fusilli pasta, tomatoes, cream sauce and minced beef, topped with melted cheddar cheese). It tasted okay, but I couldn't find anything fantastic about it. And for the price, they could definitely could have afforded to add more beef! I tried some of my friend's Swedish meatballs. They were so tough and tiny! The cheesecakes were not bad, but were so expensive at $7.90 to 8.50 a slice. Prices for other items were just as sky high. A not so memorable experience. The uniqueness lies in the fact that it's the only halal Swedish food establishment in the island.

Yelp
Pros: - Halal - Friendly staff (at Beach Rd) Cons: - They don't serve tap water here, you have to buy bottled water or a drink - Food is bad - Overpriced ---- FOOD ---- Korvstroganoff: 2 stars For $14, to get chicken sausages in gravy with rice and a lettuce salad felt like a huge ripoff. Swedish Pancakes: 2 stars Ice-cream was bad quality -- texture was styrofoamy not creamy. Pancakes were hard and stiff.

Yelp
This place is cute and well air conditioned, but super pricey!! I had their aloe vera addiction tea for $8. It was just ok...my boo had their coffee. Not much else to say except it's a good place to take a break, since we were dying from the heat and walking around lots :P

Yelp
Believe it or not, I was dragged here by my Swedish boyfriend because he saw the word "fika" along with a picture of Moose outside the cafe. Yes, as you might have guessed it, it's a "Swedish" cafe, right in the Kampong Glam area in Singapore. How Swedish can it be? Well the decor inside is very Ikea-ish and they do have a lot of Swedish dishes like meatballs (halal, obviously), pytt i panna and many other dishes that were on the menu. Since we weren't feeling like eating Swedish dishes in Singapore (hello, laksa!), we came here just to get refreshments and shade from the harsh Singaporean sun. Boyfriend ordered (Swedish) coffee while I got myself a lingonberry-ade that was surprisingly fresh and nice (a little bit sour). We shared an earl gray cake, although there was prinsesstårta in the cake shelf. Overall, it's a nice ambiance, maybe for Singaporeans who want to try out Swedish stuff, or for the Swedes who miss food from home, but as for me, it's just another concept cafe that is currently trending in Southeast Asia

Yelp
So we popped by one day for dinner - this place is evidently very popular, and it was by luck that we managed to grab a table. Ordered up, and due to the crowd, the chow took a while to arrive, which is understandable. At least we weren't of the party that could only hang around and look about forlornly. Had a Toast Skagen, which is essentially a smoked salmon and prawn open sandwich, and Tunnbrödsrulle - a generously portioned bread roll containing sausage, mashed potato and shallots. I quite liked the Toast, though my friend found it a little on the fishy side. He rather enjoyed his sausage dish, while I thought it was very Asian inspired with the addition of shallots and chili sauce. To cap dinner off, we had a serve of Swedish pancakes to share. I completely did not like this, as it's the rubbery textured sort that I'm not fond of. My friend polished it off though, but he also mentioned that the ice cream was not of good quality, which I agree. Service is prompt and crowds are affably managed. Not bad at all.

Yelp
Great food for everyone! The staff is friendly and there is a large selection of dishes. There is Internet and it is clean. On the negative, there is only one bathroom which lacks cleanliness.

Yelp
Fika is a swedish cafe & bistro offers a range of open-faced sandwiches (smoked salmon, shrimps, chicken, meatballs..etc), salads And indeed, the food here are really nice and they really satisfy your cravings for meatballs and others. Their meatball is really awesome, juicy and bouncy. when you take a bite, the meatball is very tasty. It goes really well with the sauce. The meatballs were well cooked served with softly baked potatoes Though the price of the food are a bit of the high side, but it is worth a try. i strongly reccommend this place for meatball lovers!

Yelp
Comfortable setting. Fantastic mushroom soup that was creamy without being heavy, fresh, and flavorful. Great selection on the smorgasbord with several delicious highlights, particularly the pickled herring (surprised me too!) and the roasted chicken. The meatballs and every veggie were notable as well.

Yelp
The first time it opened, Fika was quite the exotic swedish food joint in arab st and I'd go there for special occasions with friends. But the pricey food and the unchanging menu has kind of made it lost its appeal. You basically come here when you're with a group who are craving for halal meatball (stuff of which you can actually make at home, it doesnt require an extensively skillful technique) What I like about this place is ambience and service. The floor upstairs feels like a pop-up restaurant decorated with everything from ikea. It even has a fake fireplace to make it cozier. I once had to wait a long while for my order because they served me the wrong dish. But what was nice about it was that I was given a bowl of soup on the house (to quell my hunger and also to join in my other friends who have started eating). I thought that was a nice gesture. The soup was also delicious! (or maybe its coz I was really hungry). I've tried the baked rice dish - it's better for sharing because the portion is big and it gets too filling after awhile. Final verdict: The meatball dish is the constant favourite, until I learn to make better meatballs in my own kitchen!

Yelp
2nd time. I've been for dinner before, the food was freshly prepared and the portion huge. Not sure how authentically Swedish the food is. Today I had a latte - it was decent. The surroundings are nice but if I'm in the area better coffee can be found at Maison Ikkoku or other spots serving Toby's Esate.

Yelp
Yuck! Overpriced and not better than Ikea... I'm not sure if it's because I'm not familiar with Ikea food, but the food just isn't good? It's not bland, but it's not necessarily flavorful nor memorable. Given that Fika is pricer than the Hangar across the street and other cafes nearby, I don't recommend this place. Plus, everything is pre-prepared...meaning I couldn't ask for for 'no onion,' 'no mayo,' etc.
google avatar

Debra L.

Yelp
Dined at both beach road and millenia Walk outlets. Beach road- pretty tight space and the salmon was a tad too salty Millenia Walk- attentive service probably due to location? I was real hungry and had their meatballs. I guess in Singapore, we are bound to compare Fika and IKEA but it's a Stark difference. Fika's meatballs are clearly fresh and robust with meat fillings, juicier.
google avatar

Noraini L.

Yelp
Ordered the crepe mushroom and and herring fish appetiser. The food was exceptionally good. The floor staff were attentive and friendly. The food came fast and the food presentation was superb. Then we had a waffle ice cream. It was the best I have tried in Singapore! Will certainly visit again!

Yelp
Stepping into the cafe on a sunny early afternoon, we were greeted with a spot casually bustling with people. The indoor seating area was adorned with white furnitures, clean lines, the omnipresent blackboard menu and was lit with a stylish chandelier. M had the Aglio Olio. It was enjoyed muchly and quickly, notably having the kick needed for the dish but isn't painfully spicy. This will be perfect for people who prefer to do without the numbing heat from chilli padis is most Aglio Olios. The Aglio Olio at Fika is served plain and additional ingredients that goes into it will be charged. I had Swedish Meatballs which came with cream sauce, lingonberry sauce and sides of half a potato and salad. The meatballs were more floury than those at IKEA, which I felt gave them a more homemade feel. We also had the Lingonberry cheesecake ($7.50). Go for this if you're on for rich decadent cheesecake. I felt this had an interesting slightly powdery aftertaste, which I'm not too sure what to make of but I enjoyed it enough. I returned on a separate occasion for their crepes which are delish too!
google avatar

Cheryl N.

Yelp
Fika does a homemade Swedish meatballs dish that is quite different from those frozen balls we are used to from Ikea. I suppose that's our first experience of Swedish food typically. These meatballs are huge and of course made with real meat mash. The texture leans to the powdery and starchy side. I thought it's more like a meat loaf. What's great about this is that the restaurant is certified halal. This definitely tastes better than those halal meatballs at Ikea. If you have Muslim friends and are sick of dining at the usual Halal restaurants, I'd say this is a good option. Fika is located in the cultural rich Beach road. Head on over to Haji Lane for some shopping after. :)

Yelp
The Skagen Crepe $16.50 is a cold crepe that is filled with smoked salmon, shrimp and fish roe. More fillings might be good to hold up what seemed like a deflated roll. It did not have a notable taste and the mayonaise was slightly diluted. This Beef Pannbiff $18.90 consists of two huge beef patties, sautéed onions. They were less greasy than Blu Kouzina's version but the substantial amount of meat became overwhelming. Best recommended for sharing. Taste is rather similar to the meatballs so it's perhaps better to order either one instead of both. The Chokladballs, or Swedish Chocolate Balls ($5.50 for 3) are refrigerator cakes aka no-baked cakes. Made of oatmeal, sugar, coffee, cocoa, butter then rolled in coconut flakes, this has a grainy, rustic texture similar to a compact wholemeal ball.......

Yelp
I came here once before and that one time everythi g was delish. I would rate it a 4.5star. The steak i got at the time was delicious. Tender buttery. The second time i went there isnt so great. The steak i got was the wrong temp. And the fat was raw. Hard to chew. So i gave up. And the meat ball was burnt. And crispy. Yikes. Very dissapointing. The salmon my company got was great tho. The evening already ruin for me.

Yelp
Fika was the place I really enjoyed some good Swedish food. Though the place is a little small, its very cosy and its perfect for a nice dinner. Its usually quite crowded so reservations are recommended! Personally, I'm not so much of a meatball fanatic but the ones at Fika are actually really enjoyable. Quite unlike a certain other Swedish meatball eatery. They've a nice crust to it that retains the juice from the meat. Do give their Pannbiff a try as well. Its the same meatball mixture but made into a larger beef patty. I also had the lobster and seafood pasta which i thoroughly enjoyed. The sauce was excellent, the seafood was fresh and the pasta cooked perfectly.

Yelp
Totally love the smoked salmon open-faced sandwich! Fika is a place i frequent visit for their varieties of desserts. It's a great place to catch up with friends over a cup of hot tea and a slice of cake. Their service is warm & friendly, The meatballs are good but i would go for their other dishes such as the Aglio Olio that you can choose from chicken, meatballs, shrimp or smoked salmon. They serve really good savoury crepes too. The crepes are light and fluffy. For those who love to hunt for a good breakfast spot, you want to try it here. My choice will be their Raggmunk. It's rally good and sure fill up the stomach! It's a traditional Swedish breakfast set comprises of potato pancakes, shredded carrots, turkey bacon and the lingonberry jam. The set comes with your choice of drinks, either the Swedish blueberry or rose hip drink. For parents who wants to enjoy these Swedish delicacies, fret not, Fika offers kids meal too! For those coming in groups, do inform them in advance like what I did and we were all seated at the comfy second floor. It's definitely a place worth going and great for those who are on their first date. ;)

Yelp
Nice restaurant with good food. The restaurant itself is super clean and has a modern feel to it. There 2 levels. I actually sat outside as they had tables set up on the curb, which was nice. The food was good; I got the steak, which was on point. I did feel it could be a bit more softer and juicier, but still a good steak. Drinks were good as well. I got the Swedish Apple, which hit the spot perfectly on a hot day/night outside. Overall, a pretty good restaurant and great customer service with friendly staff members.

Yelp
Good food and very interesting take on Swedish food which is halal. Ambiance is excellent and we had a great time with a big group. The pricing is high but a good option for parties with a mixed group with different food needs !

Amanda S.

Yelp
Food here was mediocre and certainly not authentically Swedish. I ordered the Raggmunk, which was quite bad: soggy, gluey potato pancakes with plain shredded carrots on the side, plus turkey bacon. My partner's meatballs were OK, albeit dry and extremely salty. Coffee was so-so. On the upside, the ambience is very nice and they have a great selection of Swedish sodas that we have really missed from home. We would come back for the sodas and possibly bread or a snack, but not for a meal.

Sj F.

Yelp
Don't bother going for coffee or tea as they don't have almond or soy milk. Go across the road as they do

Mary D.

Yelp
Great little a/c restaurant at the end of Arab street. Delicious meatball sandwich with salad. Don't miss this gem!
