Where To Eat Outside In Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Frogtown, East Hollywood, and Atwater Village - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Needle is a Silver Lake neighborhood spot serving an excellent menu of Hong Kong-inspired food. They reopened a small, self-service patio off Sunset Blvd., where you can comfortably eat your char siu with hot honey glaze, pork chop buns, and duck breast skewers." - brett keating

Fil and Needle is a clothing manufacturer that exceeded all my expectations. Their team is not only skilled but also genuinely passionate about what they do, which shows in every stitch and seam. I worked with them on a custom line, and they nailed every detail, from fabric selection to fit. Communication was smooth throughout the process, and they delivered everything on time, without cutting corners. It’s clear they take pride in their craft, and it’s refreshing to find a company in LA that combines quality, reliability, and professionalism so seamlessly. Highly recommended!

The general work was just ok and nothing more on my silk cape sample. however the quality was not what they promised me. When I pointed out the errors Cyrus grabbed the sample harshly dragging the white chiffon on the ground to have it fixed, which was still done in a very average level. I was referred to them but I am really disappointed. The two stars is only Because the lady that was handling the transaction was very friendly. Overall do not recommend

We started working with Cyrus when we were a very small brand - he was incredible in helping us grow our brand and consistently goes above and beyond for us in quality. He is especially talented with pattern making and fit. I highly recommend working with Cyrus and Fil and Needle for anyone looking to get great quality clothes made in a timely fashion. I also know the fil and needle staff very well and think very highly of them.

I've never felt so compelled to write a negative review but due to the horrendous experience, I feel a need to warn others. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from Cyrus at Fil + Needle. I can't imagine how Fil & Needle is run considering how shockingly rude, unprofessional, and dishonest Cyrus, the owner, is. He will repeatedly tell you he's been in the business 30 years, yet was unable to keep his word throughout the production process for our small brand. He did not listen to our needs during the process, and due to his mistakes, we had to repeatedly visit the shop for something that should have taken one trip. Cyrus at Fil & Needle was extremely disrespectful, borderline verbally abusive, when we were in his shop, attacking every question we had about our designs and saying we did not understand what was happening. Instead of answering our questions, he mansplained things to death that should have been a simple explanation. He couldn't give an answer without a 10-minute story that made zero sense. It was like talking in circles. Right before production was to start his prices went way up - nearly doubling his original quote to us. When we questioned the price increase, he said we can go somewhere else. Not to mention, he scammed us by keeping the patterns he made - from our original designs - and refused to even let us purchase them from him, or our samples. Save yourself the time, energy, and verbal attacks - stay away from Cyrus at Fil&Needle.

I have never written a review in my life because i just don’t want to spend energy on doing so but this time i have to do it so other people save their money and time and don’t do the same mistake i did, horrible horrible job on the samples, listen to the other reviews I thought they were exaggerating but they were totally right, take your designs elsewhere.

*Warning DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Cyrus is very rude, unprofessional , and condescending . I don’t know how he’s still in business but don’t waste your time or money on this company . He does not keep his words on dates that your garments will be ready and even told me that he didn’t want to work with me because I was pressuring him when all I was doing was following up on the dates he agreed that my pieces will be ready by (Which they never were) I never took the time to read his reviews until it was too late so I hope this help another upcoming brand or designer .

Yelp
I worked for Fil and Needle as a fashion model initially and then decided to bring in some clothing that I needed repaired. Cyrus and his team were extremely kind, respectful and helpful in fixing my favorite jacket and a dress that I needed stitching on. You can tell that the whole team is passionate about what they do, and everyone here has a good sense of humor and has the goal in mind to provide you with quality service.

Yelp
Approached F & N after learning of them at Textile Show. Interviewed Cyrus and was impressed with his knowledge and abilities. Expected to move portion of our line with him for full pkg. Unfortunately, execution was abysmal. Production details covered during lengthy meetings were ignored/forgotten. Deadlines appear to be voluntary and/or not taken seriously. Agreed upon pricing was continually revised upward to ridiculous levels. Faced with customer delivery, we agreed to the extortion. Goods were received, 80% of units were damaged and 100% of units incomplete. F & N did repair and complete, but refused partial chargeback. Could have received this type of treatment for 1/10th the cost at any sweat shop in LA. We also delivered some finished paper patterns to F & N for digitizing and production. Once digitized, he would not hand over the files without another inflated payment. So we pulled the plug and retrieved the original paper patterns ... but, pieces were missing from each style. Sabotage or incompetence? We'll assume it's the latter. Regardless, results remain the same: paid top dollar for incomplete/damaged goods and have a net gain of MINUS 3 patterns.

Yelp
This is the first bad review I've had to write, but I felt so compelled to let everyone know how we were verbally abused by the owner Cyrus. We are local business based in los angeles, ca. We actually met team at Fil and Needle at the Textile Show. While the girl Nikita was very nice and pleasant with us at the booth. When we were finally ready to go thru with the small production. We gave them a call back. Upon calling back, he asked us a few questions. The questions were unclear and so I asked him to clarify. Instead of him having the patience to explain to process. Cyrus the owner just hung up on us. To say least, I was completely surprised by this behavior. So I called back, I'm not sure why but to understand why he would just hang up on a potential client. Then he said he is too busy and hung up on me again If this Cyrus is the owner and he could be blatant rude and impatience with a potential client. I could only image how such a company is managed. Needless to say, we will neither be doing business with someone like Cyrus or with a company like Fil and Needle. Its a complete Shame for treating a potential client so badly.

Yelp
STAY AWAY - Cyrus, the owner thinks he's Valentino or something. He's has a huge attitude. The work done for us was unfinished, incorrect, late (so that we were unable to use) and he berated us when we disputed the exorbitant prices we were charged for this shotty, incomplete job. He insists that we approved the charge - we never did. And, we wouldn't have, had we seen them before we were charged. My business partner and I have been in the fashion business for more than 15 years and never before have I received such poor treatment and poor work on items we've made in LA.
