Summary: overpriced movie tickets with poor seating (other than top rows). We came here for date night. The ticket usher greeted us promptly, and gave us our tickets as well. We then went to the concession stand, where we bought, popcorn, and two soft drinks. All the staff members were very nice. We were escorted to our theater, and sat down. The theatre had limited number of seats (less than 50). aside from the top rows, most of the seats had poor angles. The sound was also a bit too loud. We understand that this is boutique theater, but given the ticket prices, and the seating options, other theatres would offer a more enjoyable experience. Aside from the theater, the restaurant is nice to visit. Overall, we recommend other theaters.

I really enjoy this smaller theater. I didn't think tickets were any more than large theater tickets. We had appetizers and cocktail in the connected restaurant, it was great, and throughly enjoyed our movie. It was a great adult crowd for the show we attended. And the popcorn was good too. I will return soon.

So so cute inside. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful! We watched Widow Cliquot in the Peggy Payne theater. Perfect popcorn

We love Film Streams! They show a huge variety of films, and often have programs where they talk about the movie afterward. They do educational outreach as well for local students, and offer student and teacher discounts, plus affordable memberships that include discounts on tickets, snacks, and at Lola’s- definitely a local favorite.

My favorite movie theater in the United States. I love them desperately and have learned so much about the world/film through their film programming. I'm so happy to be a Film Streams member - Film Streams makes Omaha a better place!

We went to see the dead don't die in the main theatre at 7pm, but the bulb in the projector broke. They decided to have an additional showing in the micro theatre at 9:30, but many weren't happy. They gave us the option to refund our tickets too. Although the mishap happened, I love what the place stands for and supporting art. Very cute place too.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. It's so beautiful inside! This is definitely a place you'd like to make your usual movie theater. It makes you feel like you are in a movie. There are gorgeous plants, a place to sit and eat inside called Lola's, gorgeous windows, and amazing staff! Highly recommend this theater to anyone who likes to support local theaters and nonprofits!

Yelp
Love this theater. Memberships are available at all levels and with our dual tier, we're able to score two $5 tickets for each show, plus a discount at the concession stand. I've been impressed with the variety of movies that are shown from family classics to international selections to newer features. There is a large theater and a smaller, micro cinema. If you are attending a show in the micro cinema, definitely plan on getting there early to claim your seat as the better views are in the back two rows. The recent addition of Lola's Café provides a nice setting to grab a quick bite either before or after the show. It has a European vibe with homemade breads, sandwiches, soups, coffee drinks plus a full bar. I definitely recommend getting a membership to support this local nonprofit and I honestly feel that I've expanded my horizons by attending some of the movies that I might not have otherwise been exposed to at a larger, chain movie theater.

Yelp
I love coming to watch shows at Film Streams- highly recommend the new Anthony Bourdain movie. They have great snacks and also wine/beer on hand if you'd like to enjoy during the show. The area outside the theater looks like a great spot to catch up with friends over coffee. I'd reccommend looking at the membership options if you enjoy seeing movies regularly! Parking is behind the theater.

Yelp
I really dig small, indie theaters. So I'm fairly biased on this one. But if you're like me then this will be up your side street. There are two theaters separated by a restaurant. I attended a showing of Breathless (important but not entertaining movie) in the smaller one, which seats maybe 15. If you're really into film then this is a must when you're in town.

Yelp
Simply put, a fantastic addition to the neighborhood and city as a whole. I know some people miss the Old Dundee Bar & Grill. And Dugger's Cafe. But in due time I hope no one has any hard feelings. Renovating this once Vaudevillian theater is way better than what had been going on for years--a great decay. (Side note: I once interviewed the former owner of the theater and he said Harry Houdini even performed here like 100 years ago. Cool.) Now the space is modern and set up to promote film as an art form for decades to come. The theater has been updated, complete with new seats and projector. There's even a smaller theater that sits maybe 20 people, showing all sorts of great films. And in the middle of it all is the fantastic Kitchen Table Central space, which is warm and inviting and would be a great place to gather with some friends, work on the laptop or enjoy a bite before/after a film. This is a major score for Omahans. Hope you get there soon and enjoy some movies!

Yelp
Welcome back Dundee theatre!! Thank you Film Streams for bringing back the historical building. Started in December 1925 as a silent movie theatre. The expanded building offer a restaurant with pre-movie salads, sandwiches, wine and beer. The food is brought to your table. The main auditorium is the original theatre, beautifully redone with comfortable seating. Parking is a struggle, no doubt on opening night. Highly recommended for viewing non-mainstream cinema. A great new entertainment option in the popular Dundee area.

Yelp
The remodel is great. The entrance is no longer on Dodge. Much, much larger. The tiny snack bar is now a cool restaurant. The windows on the south side are a great touch. I think Susie Buffett, Dick and Mary Holland, Alexander Payne et al. got their money's worth. Kudos to the architect. At this location, it appears that they will screen popular movies and not just limit their features to indies. I also like the special events. A great addition to Omaha.

Yelp
The Dundee theater has a very impressive history...or so I have been told. By the time I moved to Omaha, the theater was boarded up and a sad shadow of its past splendor. So when renovations began, I promised myself I would check the place out when it opened up. Finally got the chance tonight to see a midnight showing of Creepshow and we had a great time! The theater had been lovingly restored in a modern yet classic style. Upon walking in, there is an awesome area where you can buy merch, movies and books. Didn't get a chance to see what exactly they offered because our movie was about to begin so we ran over to concession to grab some treats. Average prices, but a great selection of offerings on the menu. Grabbed a large soda with a medium popcorn for around $10. Like I said, average prices. The theater room itself was gorgeous! Lush royal blue chairs that were comfortable & had generous room, dark blue walls and chrome fixtures. The room was small and intimate, which created a cozy atmosphere. The movie began with really rad "coming soon" trailers for some cult classics, which I definitely appreciated. The film was restored to high def and looked great on the big screen. Awesome crowd, everyone was very respectful with phones off, just enjoying the movie. Good times! I am very pleased with Film Streams Dundee Theater and cannot wait to go back soon for another show!

Yelp
We rented out the theater for a private movie with friends. Loved this! So much fun! You can choose from almost any movie from all time. The environment felt safe and clean. They had a table set up with all of our snacks and drinks. Would definitely do this again!

Yelp
I love this place! It was one of the first places I visited after moving here. I like how cozy it feels and the fact that it has the restaurant (Kitchen Table) inside. There's a big open space, much homier than a typical movie theater lobby, where you can sit and eat by the windows that look out towards the street. I can tell that a lot of thought went into the creation of this place. You can chill at the tables, get some work done, have a coffee, and get your snack on whether or not you're waiting for a movie to start. I'm also a fan of the arty and indie movies that are shown here. The theater is small but in a nice & intimate way. Not a bad seat in the house. Tickets are also very reasonably priced. I will definitely keep coming back.

Yelp
I went to Dundee Theater to see my first movie since the pandemic started. Oh how I've missed going to movies! Truth be told, I've only been here once before having just moved to midtown a few months before the pandemic. This place hasn't missed a beat despite being closed for so long. I parked and noticed a few people eating lunch from Lola's on the patio. Inside, they require masks in common areas but not once you're seated. The staff was friendly, the popcorn was as good as ever and the movie experience was top-notch. I'm not sure when I'll go back but I'm sure I will at some point. Regardless, I can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp
Fantastic new space! I came here on the first day of the new year to watch Downsizing by Alexander Payne. My favorite- I was very impressed by the design of the space, huge glass windows overlooking Dodge street, a little nook at the entrance selling videos, the interesting artwork, quotations on the walls-very inspiring design. The theater was large with comfortable seats. Kitchen Table Central has some great eats too. I had never been to the old Dundee theater, but I can safely say that this new space is slowly going to develop into a beloved and cherished Omaha institution.

Yelp
Beautiful remodel this classic theater is completed. The last time I saw a movie here, the theater was in pretty sad shape. Its transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to night out at Omaha's newest gem.

Yelp
That the city of Omaha now has two arthouse cinemas is a testament to how much the city has grown since I last lived here nearly 20 years ago. The restoration of the Dundee adds a grand addition to the genre and I loved the place. Nice staff. Nice place. Lots of parking.

Yelp
This is such a nice theater really did enjoy coming here with some friends and watching a really good movie. They over a diverse selection of movies every night and it really is friendly, with fair movie prices. Concessions may be a little pricey but it's worth paying for because it's good quality.

Yelp
I have been in Omaha for nearly two years and until this month had never been to a movie here! I knew this had to change and I needed to get out and not only see something great, but visit a theater which shows independent and exception film. I found it! I don't know if this is the only place, but it has 2 screens and a place to eat/drink as well. I'll be back, and in fact have been twice this month.

Yelp
I am so happy that this place is back. The renovations are amazing. The seats are really comfortable. The food was good and the service was amazing. I can't wait to spend a lot of time here watching movies.

Yelp
My household has had a membership to Film Streams for about a year now and we are huge fans of their programming and their original Ruth Sokolof location. But I was anxious to see the historic Dundee Theater come back to life (it had been shuttered the entire time I've lived here), and the Film Streams team has truly knocked it out of the park on this renovation. The new space is spacious, warm, and welcoming. I can't believe how much they've packed into the space - a huge main theater with comfy seats and beautiful decor, a microcinema theater, a small bookstore, a concession stand, and a spacious restaurant (Kitchen Table Central). The staff provide service with a smile and seem genuinely proud to work there. I can't encourage you enough to get down to the Dundee Theater and see it for yourself. What a boon to Omaha!

Been here a few times. Love the collection of movies shown here. Staff is always really nice and helpful.

Yelp
I don't think I'm alone when I say that most of us Dundee natives would find it preferable to have a movie theater a little further ( Like a Lot further) off the bus line. I didn't want to sit through Heart Beats Loud surrounded by low life's who can't stop talking about wine in a can. There really should be better policing of these bumpkins bringing in there package liquor wine cans into my theater in my neighborhood. Seriously how do they get this canned wine in? Is none of the staff paying attention? Public officials have done their part, now do your minuscule unskilled task of making sure the LOCAL patrons don't have to be surrounded by something as off putting as people slurping wine in a can. Where do you get wine in a can? I'm sure these can wine people's refined palates are really soaking up the EXQUISITE cuisine available at the bus line dodge street eateries. Dundee is a place of culture let's keep it that way.
