"In ancient times, the Syriacs engaged in the ritual of consuming coffee beneath the night sky. They would gather among companions of wisdom and understanding, sharing profound interactions and exchanging ideas. These stimulating moments were enhanced by the simplicity of time, as they savored the aromatic essence of coffee accompanied by Anatolian desserts, fit for the royalty of bygone eras. In the Levant, contemplation and sharing of thoughts would continue until inspiration bloomed. We are Filo, and this is our narrative."
"A shiny all-day cafe on South Kensington’s pedestrianised Bute Street, Filo is one of our favourite spots for a late-night coffee and chill, or to people-watch from the outside tables when it’s nice. There’s a menu of decent Lebanese food, and some indulgent-looking pastries on the counter in case you’re peckish—we’d get the Cinnabon-looking cinnamon roll. But if you’re just looking for a comfortable spot for a 7pm cappuccino, Filo is the one. Plus, they serve Spanish lattes if you’re a fan of your coffee on the sweeter side. photo credit: Koray Firat photo credit: Koray Firat video credit: Koray Firat photo credit: Koray Firat photo credit: Koray Firat" - Rianne Shlebak
