Atlanta was our last stop on a two week road trip that included New Orleans, Dallas, and St. Louis. We wanted to try some authentic soul food in ATL and we found it at Fins & Feathers. We had some great food on our trip but this meal was our favorite!
The Happy Hour menu cannot be beat. We enjoyed $5 drinks that were better (and stronger) than most $16 drinks at higher end restaurants. We ordered a basket of HH Catfish Bites (a half order of catfish with fries) for just $5. The fish and fries were deliciously seasoned and and cooked to perfection.
We followed that with fried chicken wings, more fries (they were that good), and the catfish and grits. The sauce on the catfish and grits was amazing and added a delicious element to the already perfectly seasoned catfish.
It looks like a hole in the wall from the street and you'll be patted down by the bouncer to enter, but once inside, you'll find a great meal.
It seems like a local's favorite and is also a hookah bar, which is part of the vibe. The service was great. Our waitress, Nay, was friendly, helpful, and really attentive. She made sure we had exactly what we needed throughout our meal. We loved the food and the service and would go back in a heartbeat.
