Very quaint seafood restaurant. Great for a special occasion. Was able to accommodate a party of 10 although their usual size is 2-4. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal. There was a variety of mixed drinks available of which those that drank in our party were very satisfied with.

Did the 7-course tasting menu and it was worth every penny and more - each course was meticulously assembled and paired with wine. Service was also excellent. Perfect date night!

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I was greeted with a warm smile and seated immediately. I requested a corner seat, and they accommodated my request perfectly. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, with a lovely ambiance that makes you want to linger. The service was impeccable—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was absolutely excellent! The wine was delicious, and the cappuccino and cheesecake were the perfect way to end the meal. While it’s a bit on the pricey side, it was worth every penny for the quality and experience. I cannot wait to come back to this amazing spot on my next vacation. Highly recommend! Merci, Nicole 😁

We love celebrating special occasions at Fin, they never disappoint. Tonight we celebrated our 2 year anniversary. No matter if celebrating something or just want a great dinner, I highly recommend

The cocktails here are incredible. They're not too expensive and have a variety of fun options with interesting presentation. The charcuterie board had some delicious cheeses. The seafood pasta was creamy and the seafood was cooked perfectly, I wouldve liked a bit more flavor..The flour less chocolate cake was fine. A heads up for special events: we asked if the kitchen could do something for a graduation but nothing was offered (I don't think they regularly do that sort of thing). All in all, terrific service and good food.

Service is always amazing, and the kitchen just rocks. This is our go to spot for special occasions. The tuna tartar with crisps is always a favorite. Diced tuna with crispy accents, seaweed salad, and a siracha ice cream. Yes! These guys also know scallop risotto too. They'll add jumbo lump in a whisper. Just go.

Good evening , I know this review has been long waiting , so here it is . My husband decided to take us out on our monthly date night . We walked in and waited only a few min before being seated , the lady who sat us was very nice and pleasant. Our server was truly amazing we didn't get any apps even tho they where amazing , the pricing for the 5 Course and 8 Course was understandable . Very nice ,quiet & clean 10/10 definitely can't wait to go back I loved talked about it for another week . Keep up the hard work y'all are well worth the price . Seafood pasta is so out this world olive garden will have to beg to get my money ..

Ok folks I am no expert on food or any restaurant, but this was 100%+ worth the visit! I will warn you, yes it’s very pricey for us blue collars and gratuity is added to your bill automatically, but was so worth it!! Came to celebrate my wife’s birthday and was seated immediately for a party of 6. Katherine, our server, instantly made us feel welcomed. She was attentive, friendly, genuine, and catered to my loud granddaughter (sorry to the other patrons, she’s cute but likes to jabber when she’s happy). Katherine please start a class to teach other wait staff on what a professional looks & acts like! On to the food..we ordered: the “Grilled Octopus” and “Smoked Salmon & Caviar” as appetizers. The “What’s up Doc” and the “Pear Cranberry Margarita” for the libations. The main entrees were the fish of the day (Rock fish) with crab meat, the “Short Rib and Crab Meat” with added Scallops, Seafood Pasta, and the “Wagyu Beef 8oz Bistro Steak” People!!! Everything was absolutely outstanding!!! On a side note, I never asked for anything for my wife’s birthday, but Katherine still made it special for her! This restaurant is off the beaten path, but so worth the trip there! Fin! We will be back!

Yelp
My husband and I went to this restaurant as we are down at the beach to celebrate our babymoon....100% amazing option! The great part about this restaurant is they have so many thoroughly cooked seafood options, so no worries with my pregnancy! My husband and I both did the Fin 5 course meal and honestly, each plate was better than the last. It consists of a blue crab salad, crab cake, seared scallops, wagyu beef, and a nice dessert for $85/person. Karen, our server, was absolutely delightful and made sure to note thoroughly cooked food and was very attentive to our drink refills and finished plates. The spacing between each dish was perfectly spaced and you leave with a full and happy stomach! Definitely recommend this spot when you are down at VA beach! Quality: 5/5 Customer service: 5/5 Value for cost: 4.5/5

Yelp
This place has my most favorite soup which used to be the sea crab and now it is the corn soup because it has lump crab meat and that as well. I used to love eating at the bar, but now I prefer the dining room area! I think the service is better there. The owner is amazing. He's a wonderful chef and cares about the quality of food.

Yelp
If I could give 10 stars to this venue I would. I was looking for a nice anniveraary worthy eatery and Fin was recommended by a friend. I easily made online reservations. Our table was ready when we arrived and was sprinkled with rose petals in honor of our occasion. I signed up online for the 5 course taste without the wine pairings. Our server Brittany was so knowledgeable and attentive as appropriate. She told us about each flavor combination and easily answered my questions. My unsweet tea was freshly brewed. Our 5 courses included an unbelievable blue crab claw slaw, one of the best flavor pairings I have ever tasted. Then came the all meat no filler broiled crab cake, then light as air scallops with risotto, and then a tender steak that melted in your mouth. This could have used a tablespoon more mash but took nothing away from it. The final course was a light flourless chocolate cake with a raspberry puree and lavender homemade icecream. Each portion was perfection, just the right amount with a short wait between courses to digest and savor. The vibe is modern but intimate. The bar is in a separate room. The dining room has a few booths, some 4 tops and a larger group table for maybe 6. Everyone seemed very content with their food and drink choices, the conversation was lively but not distracting. I thanked the chefs working in the open kitchen area and they were so humble. They have to know they are at the top of their game with the food offerings. When the bill came it was, as I knew in advance, was $85 per person, and with tea and tax came to about $275. My server told me 20% gratuity was included. I had cash ready so slipped her another $40. I don't know what percent tip I ended up giving but Brittany is that good. The menu has so many enticing offerings that if you are someone who enjoys a truly delightful gastronomic experience you just have to check out Fin. Worth every penny.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. It was nice and quiet. Everyone was so kind. Our waiter was great. Very attentive. I had gotten the firecracker shrimp, wagyu tenderloin, and my husband got a wagyu as well.. I just want to note that their sweet potatos were SO good, but don't feel it's a good side with steak. It made our steak sweet and it was a taste we were interested in...however it was still delicious. Will come again.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful meal. The restaurant was well decorated. The service was excellent. The meal was above expectations. This restaurant is worth the drive from the south side of the Hampton Roads

Yelp
I love revisiting a fine dining restaurant that I love, and it only gets better with time! I dined at Fin last night for Restaurant Week. It was not a disappointment! I started off with a cocktail: Triple-Berry Lemon Drop. Very tasty! Not overpowering either vodka and lots of berry flavor. For Restaurant Week, it includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert. My app was She Crab Soup. The broth was so creamy and filling. It was also full of lump crab cake which was amazing. My entree was Scallops and I added on a crab cake for $9! No regrets! The scallops were cooked perfectly over a seasoned bed of rice. The crab cake was perfect. The amount of filler was not overbearing and it was broiled just right. For dessert: I had chocolate cake with mint ice cream. The cake was SO rich in flavor I had to take some home. But it paired perfectly with the subtle mint ice cream. My friend also enjoyed their firecracker shrimp (too spicy for me) and beef tenderloin (prepared medium rare). 5 STARS! Service was great. Gratuity was included, but it was well earned. The food was stellar! I'm so glad that Fin is still a staple in Newport News for fine dining.

Yelp
Was told this was an upscale restaurant, not sure I'd agree, but they are trying to be. Good drink prices, my Martini was standard and hit the spot. Loved the she crab soup, I got the large which wasn't too big. Lots of crab chunks. Got the crab cake with a side of scallops. The crab cake was not the best I've had, but did look amazing. Kinda want to say it lacked flavor? Overall an expensive bill for what I felt like regular food.

Yelp
Fin Seafood on William Tyron Square, Newport News, VA, was the restaurant chosen to hold the Celebration of Life for my brother-in-law who passed away suddenly last month. We arranged to use their back dining room for his family, friends and colleagues, who spoke eloquently from the heart about how much Bill meant to each of them as husband, father, step father, friend, university colleague, mentor and neighbor. Fin's small catering was flawless. We didn't need much for the two hour fete. A few bottles of good wine and an open bar; fresh crab cake sliders without filler, shrimp in spicy mayo on a spoon, and a wooden tray with assortment of charcuterie. All perfectly prepared as soft background complements to our solemn occasion. We will no doubt return to Fin Seafood on a more joyous occasion when we can relax and laugh over more mellow remembrances of life. Still, we will always appreciate how they handled this most meaningful day for us.

Yelp
I started with the sweet corn soup to start. It was great. I ordered the seafood pasta for my main entree and was very pleased. There was so much meat in it that I couldn't finish it. Cory waited on us this evening and did an outstanding job. We were glad we made reservations ahead of time and were seated right away.

Yelp
A great little seafood spot - quality food served at affordable prices. I had lunch here and opted for the tasting menu. Staff was busy but kind and attentive when available. Food was flavorful and filling. I would definitely revisit this establishment.

Yelp
We had an excellent date night on a Saturday evening. We didn't have a reservation so we sat in the high top bar tables. Our server was excellent, she checked in often and was knowledgeable about the menus. Good drink menu with craft cocktails, beer and wine. I enjoyed the strawberry lemon drop. My fiancé had the churro old fashion (made with tequila) and the milk punch. He loved both. We enjoyed the tuna tartare for an appetizer. It's unique with the siracha ice cream. I'm not a huge seafood person but it was flavorful. For dinner, I had beef tenderloin. It was the absolute best! My fiancé had salmon. We were very full from the big portions so we did not have dessert.

Sally Y.

Yelp
The fish of the day was excellent but the swiss chard was tough and inedible; the gnocchi was fried into rubbery flavorless balls, and the beet puree, which i was looking forward to, was merely red smear across the plate, like a spill of Gerber's baby food. Lots of fat on the steak. Has been great in the past but this could've been better.
google avatar

Danan F.

Yelp
Pretty freaking good. Could of been better. The froie gras is mediocre like its sister restaurant Steak N Tonic. The waitress was up-selling so much and coming to and from the table so often that we had a to ask her to give us a little while to eat and talk amongst ourselves. We had over a $400 dollar bill. So it wasn't like we weren't prepared to spend money. She was knowledgeable about the menu. A little bossy which isn't a problem, but just visited us a little too much. But grateful for good service. This place is cozy inside Nicely decorated.

Yelp
Food - 3.7 Service - 4.5 Ambiance - 3.5 I hesitate to give a three because i have loved this place in the past. I'd say my overall review is a 3.5. First, when I got there the room/carpet/chairs smelled mildewy. And the velvet chairs were kind of moist. It wasn't a good start. It is a semi-nice restaurant with good parking, a little eclectic in nature, smallish but is always able to fit a large group. Second, and most importantly, the food was just okay this time. I ordered the exact same thing I have gotten before (the scallops and risotto), and while the scallops and risotto were cooked well and it tasted good, I didn't like the mushrooms in it (it was a really weird, watery texture, and I really love mushrooms normally, i got crabmeat on top of the scallops and I couldn't distinguish between the musroom and crab meat well), and the dish was overall a little too salty,. the Bibb lettuce salad was fine, but was definitely a little overdressed. And I tried other the octopus appetizer and it would have been great but the octopus was a little too hard for me (a tad overcooked perhaps), and again a little too salty. The oysters were good, but I found it odd the vinegar was in the oyster already, and no cocktail sauce accompanying the dish. The drinks are VERY reasonably priced in my opinion, about $12 per cocktail (versus most places that charge $15+ for the same drinks). The only reason I would go is that there are very few nicer restaurants in Newport, and I would just make sure to order something different, and hope that the mildewy/moist smell is not there next time.

Yelp
We had a Galentines Dinner last night and there wasn't a single complaint from 11 women. The food was delicious, the service was amazing and everyone was so kind and accommodating. Katie was our server and she was knowledgeable and also knew which gluten free options were the best. Thank you for hosting our little event. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Four of us went to this restaurant, due to the reviews on Yelp. We were not disappointed. The ambience is lovely and very welcoming. We were meant by Katie, who was both friendly and informative. She made sure during the entire evening that we were well taken care of. Our orders included the octopus crabcake, shrimp and grits, and Caesar salad with shrimp. But we started off with their pumpkin purée soup, sweet corn chowder, and she crab soup. All delicious. My husband loves his martinis and my daughter and I enjoyed the German Riesling which was available. A most enjoyable evening !

Yelp
What a great restaurant! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We went for lunch and had a great experience. The she crab soup was outstanding and the fish sandwich ranks as one of the best. This is a highly recommend.

Yelp
I met a friend there this evening for Burger Night. Ambience was lovely; they sat us at a corner booth table in the bar. I ordered the Bison Burger with French fries. The fries came out hot and fresh, perfectly seasoned, crisp on the outside pillow-soft on the inside. The Bison Burger was just slightly more pink than my requested medium well, but the taste was fantastic. It's the best Bison Burger I've had out at a restaurant. We finished off the evening splitting a very rich and delicious Irish Chocolate Cake. A memorable evening; I will be back soon !

Yelp
Truly a wonderful experience at a very very reasonable price. First time having Froi Gras and loved it...the trio oysters were a hit. Truly only two complaints. Shrimp and grits (grits were too sweet) and the octopus too salty. Adjust that and we had a 5star experience. Thanks again FIN

Yelp
So I decided to bring my lady here for a Valentine's Day dinner. Long story short the food was good but that's it nothing over the top or extraordinary. The service was well average. Again nothing that requires an automatic 20% gratuity to the bill!!! Yea expect that. Ambiance was nice. Low light setting but not speak easy low. It's a typical restaurant as far as lighting and background music goes. Oh and be prepared for the sales and city tax along with the 20% gratuity on your bill. Not recommending this place for special occasions. A drink or two and that's it.
google avatar

Andy K.

Yelp
Fins has a nice romantic ambiance, the dining area was clean and cared for, cocktails were interesting and tasty. The menu was difficult, lots of high end options for appetizers and entrees but they just couldn't put out a tasty dish. It felt like a great chef came up with the menu and an amateur took over to cook it. They offer fresh oysters in the half shell and said they have a high turnover with them but they were obviously prepared by someone who couldn't shuck and they didn't taste fresh. Lastly the men's restroom smelled sour. I really had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, but the price didn't deliver a quality meal.

Yelp
this was my first time at this beautiful restaurant. the wait staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. this entire experience was a 10/10 and the food was even more than that. the drinks were beautifully crafted with great attention to detail and they tasted just as amazing as they looked. app: oyster sample trio: rockefeller oyster, balsamic pearl mignonette oyster, and buffalo fried oysters w/ blue cheese the balsamic pearl mignotteo oyster was a bit vinegary for my taste but the rockefeller oysters were to die for! these were hands down one of the best oysters ive had! drinks: purple butterfly (this was lavendar based, so he wasn't a fan but I enjoyed it) rosemary whiskey sour aperol peach spritz entree: mine: rockfish with brown rice, golden beets, spinach, brussels sprouts, and roasted cauliflower puree. his: 12oz wagyu beef ny strip, snake river farm with potatoes and crab cake. (when we received our meals they forgot his crab cake, but were kind enough to bring us a full-size crab cake for the inconvenience)
google avatar

Shalesia T.

Yelp
Food is well executed. I had the braised short rib polenta I would rate 7/10. Crab and corn soup gets a 10/10. Drinks were of decent strength but the flavors were not great. Overall I would try again but am not urgently awaiting a return.

Yelp
Here for Newport News restaurant week. There was a list of about 15 to 20 participating restaurants but Fin Seafood caught my eye. They had great reviews from my fellow Yelpers so I had my sights on Fin. I reserved on Open Table (get your 100 points of course!). I guess people sleep in since at 11:30am I am the only one here. I was greeted by Collette, a wonderful server. Tap water in blue wine glass, color coordinated with the blue napkin and nice contrast with a small glass bowl with aqua colored glass chips - very nice aquatic colors going on the table. Ooh their silverware is has fish tail carved into the handles, cool! Decor and service - check! Now when I was presented with menu, lunch was $25, not $15 as advertised on restaurant week link on Yelp. Granted this changed price included dessert but for those of us not needing dessert AND only getting a quarter of normal serving sized bread pudding, it wasn't worth it. They also add a 20% gratuity automatically tacked on. I ordered wedge salad with ranch dressing, shrimp and grits and bread pudding. The wedge salad was good. The veggies were fresh. The shrimp and grits was too salty but at least the shrimps were plump and not from frozen. Bread pudding was not normal size, looks like a quarter of typical. The pecan butter ice cream (tiny scoop) and caramel drizzle were nice touches. Didn't settle right after I had my lunch. Must be an off day??

Cassidy P.

Yelp
It is really good but the service could be slightly better I do recommend this though it was great

Juanita G.

Yelp
The food was bland. The bartender had no personally and seemed as if she didn't want to be there. It was over priced. The food would appeal more to the elderly community.

Yelp
Fin is well known for being a more upscale seafood spot, great for a date night. Me and my husband came here for a date and were overall pretty happy with our experience. The dining area is on the smaller side but was nice and felt pretty cozy. The service was good and our waitress gave us recommendations for what to order. For food we ordered a special mushroom, egg puff pastry for an appetizer. It was delicious and pretty unique. For our entrees I ordered the pecan crusted cobia and my husband ordered a steak. My husband loves steaks and quality cuts and he said while the steak was good it was not worth the price compared to other steakhouses he had been to. My fish was really delicious and I loved the pumpkin polenta and brussels sprouts with it. The fish was tender and the flavors were unique together. We ordered the coffee crème brulee for dessert which was really good as well. Overall we had a delicious meal!

Yelp
What a treat this place was! Stopped in for dinner. We didn't have a reservation, but the hostess was able to seat us in the bar area. A tablet was provided to us in order to view the drinks menu and a laminated menu for food options. We ordered a couple of bourbon cocktails: Heavens Hunter and an old fashioned. Both were very good. For starters, we ordered the Trio of oysters and the she crab soup. The trio consisted of fried oysters in a blue cheese sauce, a plainish type in a maybe a vinegar based sauce and Rockefeller. We enjoyed them all. I'm not much of a fried oysters person but did like the sauce they were in. As far as entrees, we ordered the seafood paella and the duck duo which consisted of duck breast and leg/thigh. The duck was soo amazing. Absolutely loved it. There was this perfect crispness on parts of the leg and the breast was perfection. It came with veggies and a potato based puree. The seafood paella was good as well. The service here was great for the most part. The hostess wasn't very friendly at all but our server who also doubled as the bartender was great! He gave recommendations when we asked, checked in on us and was friendly. I'd definitely go back.

Yelp
It's been 7 years since we were at Fin Seafood. It is just like I remember... delicious. For all things covid, they did well. The tables are spaced nicely and everyone had a mask. They had other precautions in place as well. Our server was kind, and knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. She was quick as well. Our food tasted amazing, just like we remembers the cheese plate was scrumptious. My crab cake Was a little too dark for me. It did not taste burnt but, it was not visually appealing. Other than that all is well at Fin Seafood.

Bri C.

Yelp
From the gracious hostess who greeted us to the knowledgeable and pleasant server Katherine to the marvelous food, FIN was a wonderful experience. My first trip will not be my last. We had the 7-course tasting menu and it did not disappoint. It was my birthday, and every wait staff who came by the table greeted me with birthday wishes.

Yelp
Not my cup of tea! Tried the 4 course meal for $100 per person and was not impressed at all. I expected the portion to be small as it's fine dining, however, the food was not great. The worst course was the plank skirt steak, it was chewy and slithery. The highlight was their great tasty mixed drinks. The service was just ok; however, the ambiance was calm and relax. Again, from my experience, this is the first and last for me.

Mike C.

Yelp
One of the most pleasant experiences ever at waitress Brittany was phenomenal and even a gentleman came out that I thought was the chef but was not and he was extremely cordial. Thanks for a fantastic meal. She crab soup is the best.

Yelp
I took my wife here three years ago for a birthday dinner and left a rave review and after last night's anniversary dinner: nothing's changed... Fin Seafood is still excellent!! Primo was our server and was on-point right from the start, helping us to decide on a bottle of wine. He knew the taste of each and was easily able to describe each one to us. He then shared the three additional appetizers that Fin was offering that night and one would have wanted to sample all three of them! But, as usual, we both settled on the She Crab Soup because... it's She Crab Soup. I believe the term to use is "decadent." Very creamy, full of sweet crab meat. You can't go wrong with that soup. For dinner my wife ordered the flounder and crab and was again blown away by the sweetness of the crab. It was served on a bed of Carolina Gold Rice with a Cumin Tomato Sauce and she devoured it in short order. I settled on the Seafood pasta along with a bowl of Truffle Mac and Cheese. The pasta dish was also decadent with chunks of tuna along with some rock fish, surrounded by steamed mussels. The coconut curry sauce was delightful! The mac and cheese was the creamiest I've ever had and I don't know where I'd find anything in comparison. For dessert we settled on the flourless chocolate cake. It came with a serving of roasted pistachio ice cream and a raspberry coulis. Because it was our anniversary, we had a complimentary champagne with our dessert. You can't go wrong with Fin Seafood if you want some fine dining. Enjoy!

Yelp
Looks nice but that's about it. The food wasn't really worth the price. I ordered jump shrimp and grits which definitely did give jumbo nor grits. I also ordered a blackberry lemon drop that tasted like straight lemon juice. Definitely don't plan on going back anytime soon. The service was decent but, try somewhere else first.

Yelp
My fiancé and I went here for our anniversary and we couldn't have been more pleased! The ambiance was great at night, which we thought maybe it wasn't super fancy due to the day time pictures but at night it looks great. In addition the staff went above and beyond for our anniversary. We felt really well taken care of and they were very thoughtful. We went the Friday before NYE so it was a little empty and service was fast. We ordered two cocktails which were pretty good but I may opt for another drink next time, one was a tad syrupy/sweet for me, but my fiancé enjoyed his! We ordered oysters on the half shell that came with balsamic mignonette, it was pretty good but again I like more of the oyster flavor and the balsamic, although nice, overpowered anything else. We also received free bread and butter for the table which was great and the bread was the softest I've ever had! For entrees I got the crab cake and my fiancé got the prime beef tenderloin. Both of these dishes were incredible!!!! Both perfectly cooked and extremely well balanced. The crab cake was delicious with plenty of crab and a deliciously paired sweet butternut squash sauce. The prime beef was perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth. So tender and buttery and paired with a perfect demi sauce, and delicious potatoes and brussel sprouts, truly a great dish! We didn't get dessert because we were both pretty full after everything. Overall I would recommend for special occasions as the food was delicious, the staff incredible, and nice ambiance!

Yelp
Went here for restaurant week and the food was amazing as usual. I come almost once a year with a dear friend, it's kind of our thing. I wish I would of taken a picture of the old fashioned flight but it was soooo good and didn't last long enough for a picture. You will definitely spend a pretty penny but it's so worth it.

Yelp
We went for lunch and disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it. Our waitress was terrible. She came to our table and my husband asked if they had a dessert menu and she ran to go get it even though he'd asked her not to and when she brought it back we told her we were ready to order she said she had to go take another tables order because they were waiting longer...so why did you even bother coming to our table in the first place? She was consistently rude throughout the entire meal and this restaurant automatically includes a 20% gratuity. She's lucky because she definitely didn't deserve that with the service we received. The food was okay. The she crab soup was delicious but the rest of the meal mostly fell flat. For the price I wouldn't recommend this establishment but if you do go I'd definitely order to go because it's too expensive to have such awful service. Will not be going back. It was fairly busy though the dining room for lunch is quite small. We did make a reservation though there was no visible wait.

Yelp
Came in last night with a large party, didn't even look at the menu before coming so didn't know what to expect. It was great from the old fashions and appetizers to the service. Everything was great! Our server was Colette and others were prompt and dealt with a large group very well. Thanks!

Yelp
Nice place. Servers could be nicer though. We went for our anniversary and they did a nice job of setting up the table. Food is good. Not the best seafood ever but certainly one of the better ones in Hampton Roads. Butternut squash dishes are excellent.

Yelp
We had Katie as our server. She was awesome! We felt like we were the only customers she had! Her attention to detail, her warmth, her knowledge of menu and wine was exceptional! We sat out on the patio and felt like we had our private party! Looking forward to returning!!

I love this place and its decor. The Foie gras is the best and sizeable too. I love their menu both food and drink.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal!! The atmosphere was great and the service was amazing. It was our first time visiting. We had Cameron as our waiter and he was absolutely amazing!!! He was extremely knowledgeable in the menu and recommended some fantastic choices to us. The drinks and food were absolutely incredible and delicious! The best thing about this place is that EVERYTHING is house made!!!! I highly recommend checking out this place and asking for Cameron as your waiter! We'll be back soon!

Yelp
Our spicy mayo shrimp arrived hot and crunchy. The she crab soup had an unusual taste at first - a spice we weren't used to in other versions - but we ended up liking that too. Had the fish tacos offered as a concert food special because of the midweek concert. I think the fish was salmon, the first time I ever had so soft a fish in a taco. I wouldn't recommend them. They had a mushy mouth feel to them and they were cold or chilled. The most off-putting thing about the place was the bill. Sales tax, a city tax, and a 20% gratuity were added to our cost. No notice posted anywhere we could see. The bill also had a space for additional tip as well. If you like a surprise 32 or 33% increase added to your bill without options or choice, eat here. Our service was good but not 20% tip or more good. There weren't many people in the restaurant to serve.

Had a great dinner with firecracker shrimp and salmon stuffed with asparagus. Service was fast and the place was very cool!

Yelp
Excellent service by Katie. The food was phenomenal! Chefs Mike and Kev are fantastic. This was our second time at Fin. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel like family. We had she crab soup, salmon & the seafood pasta. Everything was exceptional and made with love.

Yelp
Fin Seafood is a nice local restaurant, with nice ambiance and friendly servers. I visited it for the first time this month (August 2023). Ambiance & Service are both 5-Stars. Food - not so much. It looks like they have a wonderful variety of wine choices - which was displayed prominently at the wall. The freshly baked bread melts in your mouth- literally. The She Crab Soup is not hot, and I would venture to say it was served less than warm. It was salty to my taste but crab meat was good. Since this is real crab in the soup - I have a piece of the crab membrane at every bite. If you have peeled open a crab before you'll know what I am referring to. The romaine Caesar salad was just OK for me. That's all that I ordered. I tried this restaurant for the first time - Loved the ambiance, and the bread. I would not be going back there nor bring any friends or family in the future - based on taste of food. ** please note this restaurant charges 20% service fee on ALL checks ** The 3-stars rating is based on my own personal experience.

Yelp
What a joke! Went in today for a late lunch, and stopod at the podium for 10 minutes. Four cooks in the back would look at me, then go back to their dicsussions. Restaurant was otherwise empty with just one table occupied. Am surprised they are in business...
