Loved this place! The atmosphere was very fun with both outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor patio had fans which made it comfortable to sit outside, even in July weather. The service was great, he was kind and gave helpful recommendations. Most importantly, the food was delicious! The sandwiches were filling and the tater totes were seasoned to perfection. I would highly recommend visiting!

We can't say enough wonderful things about this gem. We didn't realize there was indoor seating one evening we wanted to come here, now we know there is outdoor seating (super fun, happy, comfy) and indoor plus a few seats at the small bar. So much care has gone i to decorating and seating options. Then there is the food! Fresh, nice portions, and lots of healthy choices if you are trying to go that direction.

Amazing atmosphere in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for lunch or a day drink. My sister and I sat out front for what seemed like hours in November with our dog. Great furniture and outdoor space and they even had blankets. They have THC drinks which was a nice surprise! A highlight from my visit to the area.

Went here for the 1st time yesterday. My siblings and I ate inside, but I definitely want to go back and sit outside when the weather is warmer and have a beer. I have never had lettuce on egg salad until I ate here. It was delicious.

What a vibe! Food is delicious. The rich girl and grilled cheese were a 10/10. But what we really loved was their house ketchup. Wild that I rave about ketchup, but that’s how good the food was. Thrilled with our random find! Finches is totally worth a stop in! Update: we actually ended up coming again the next day with friends and they also loved it!

Every time I come here I get the friendliest, nicest service. This place is so well kept and the food and coffee is delicious. Just a wonderful place to be and one of my all time favorite spots in Savannah!

Such a wonderful location with lovely people! The vibe is very cozy and accommodating and the staff does a great job of treating regulars and new customers like family. The community events that Finches put on are a great time for the whole Thunderbolt community. It goes without saying, but the food is excellent. If I'm not mistaken, this is their third year in a row winning Best Sandwiches in Savannah, and it's safe to say it's more than earned. They are constantly updating their menu, so no seasonal menu is the same. Could not recommend more :)

Absolutely delicious food. The vibes are immaculate. Overall a great experience from the moment you step foot onto the property to the time you leave. It is just one of those places in Savannah that if you haven't been to yet, you should Absolutely get here ASAP! A local business supporting other local businesses! We were hungry for lunch on the way back into Savannah from Tybee and this was the perfect spot! I ordered the egg salad because it said it was famous (I am not an egg salad person) but I think I just became an egg salad person! Food was fresh, so tasty and we were SO full after. Adorable space, fun lunch options, definitely recommend!

I cannot recommend Finches enough! Whether you are looking for a quick bite to eat or in our case, looking for an accomodating, welcoming, and safe place for a wedding reception... This is the spot! They made the evening simple and worry free. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is fun and laid back.

What a lovely place! I was there for an event that they had after hours. The employees were so friendly. Smiling the whole time! There were a few seats inside but mainly the seating was outside. I had an egg salad sandwich and the other person with me had the cheeseburger. The egg salad sandwich was huge! I ate half and took the other half home with me. I had it for lunch the next day. I did remove the salad from their bread because it had become a bit soggy, to be expected. Anyway, I toasted two pieces of loaf bread and had plenty of egg salad for another whole sandwich. The review on the cheese burger was equally as good. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and the quantity. I can't wait to go back during their regular hours.

Went here for a late lunch. Cool to sit outside under an old gas station awning. The atmosphere was very laid back, close tables, and chatted with other tables close by. The service was really slow which is the reason for lower rating. Meatball sub was good.

My friends and I stumbled upon this cute and unassuming restaurant as we were driving through the area. What used to be an old gas station has turned into a restaurant and sundry selling novelty items. The menu is simple but has classic dishes for breakfast and lunch. I ordered the smashed avocado toast. It's the first time I've had slivered almonds with my avocado toast but it added a nice texture. There was also a heaping portion of avocado. You have the option to add scrambled eggs which I regretted not adding after seeing how good it looked on my friend's toast. Seating inside is very limited but most people enjoyed dining outside where there's plenty of benches. I will say that the pricing is a bit steep for what you get. Regardless, it's worth a visit if you're around the area looking for a quick bite to eat.

Good place to visit. Very nice staff. Excellent egg salad sandwich. Worst turkey sandwich ever.. two slices of gross pressed turkey..and a bunch of lettuce.. Extremely disappointing.

Cute little place in THUNDERBOLT. GEORGIA. Boy that is a nice name. 100% great sandwiches at this apparently looking gas stop . Great place to stop during the summertime, along with a stop before/ after going to the Bonaventure cemetery.

Their sandwiches and cocktails were so good I'd drive back for them, and I live two and a half hours away.

Really cool little spot with a neat antiques store directly adjacent. Outdoor seating and a few tables inside. Had the T sandwich and it was like a turkey club with some fancy little twists. Pickled onions and Calabrian chili mayo were wonderful touches. Old bay tots were also fire. Booze, good sandwiches and fresh baked cookies, can it really be bad?

This sundries & sandwich shop was adorable. I heard from the person at the counter that the menu changes pretty frequently so the Yelp menu pics weren't quite right. It was ok though, I was able to pivot and really enjoyed my selection.

Cool kitschy kind of place - great sandwiches, heavenly bread. We loved grabbing a bite here on a rainy afternoon just watching the cars rolls by. We will return.

This place SHINES BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND On a sunny day this place is fantastic with so much cute outdoor seating that it's a SELFIES DREAM or with friends. Unfortunately I didn't take a shot of the menu but what we had was the meatball sandwich with cheesy cauliflower bites....AMAZING! They have a wide variety of drinks and infused cbd drinks as well with indoor seating right next door. I always say PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING and this place just got it right, The outdoor appeal, the indoor merch the pleasant greeting and service and not to mention the food. They need more . This place right here - is special. It's not just food, but an unique experience all wrapped up in one. And yes, thanks to the magnificent hands of the chefs there, the food is also a big part of that experience! I first learned about it on Instagram. I follow Narcity, an online travel magazine, and in one of their spreads citing the best place for the best grilled cheese Sandwich in Savannah, Georgia, they gave that title to "Finches". It also happened that my girlfriend and I decided to go on a road trip across some states in the South, and among our stops Savannah was definitely one of the first places mentioned and schedule. So off we went. We spent a stormy night in Jacksonville and go ready to arrive in Savannah early in the morning? And our first order of business, the beacon guiding us through the morning fog was our ardent desire to arrive at "Finches" to taste their lauded food. When we finally arrive we were not disappointed. First, let's say that Finches' decoration is unique in its z style. As the article I had read touted, it is an old 60's or 70's gas station retrofitted as a restaurant. They've taking the magic of those golden years and transformed it into an absolutely Instagrammable experience. As I mentioned before, it's not just a place for food, but the perfect place to sit down with friends, take a couple of pictures, have some coffee, as we did, and have a conversation about anything. Right next to us there were a couple of old timers talking about the current Russian war against Ukraine, and comparing our government's efforts to previous efforts in Vietnam, and Korea. Which was awesome. It took all the restrain in the world not to join their conversation and buy them the next round of coffee, my girlfriend could see it in my eyes. And knowing her well, and how she feels about my endless conversations with strangers about history, politics, the like, I decided against it. Either way, just listening to them, sitting their sharing really showed beauty of "Finches". As it is a place for friends and community. And then the food was delivered. The coffee was perfect. The sandwich incredibly delicious. It met every single expectation we'd held since we added "Finches" and their grilled sandwich as a stop on our road trip. We then took pictures in their photo booth, for which we had to kneel to get our faces within frame, and succeeded after the second try. We took pictures of the old gas pumps, and their beautiful decorations inside and outside. We took pictures of almost every inch of their property. It's just that beautiful, and just that unique. I hope that you too, if visiting Savannah make the same stop! I recommend it!

Pros: Vibrant, quirky, festive environment. I ordered the tots, which were seasoned perfectly, and a brat, which was also flavorful and juicy. Cons: So dang expensive!!! Including everything in their little indoor shopping area. Food was definitely only worth 75% of its overall price.

What a fun, casual lunch spot. This small, light blue cinder block building is serving a steady stream of customers. Finches is next to a converted, updated old gas station, with green turf carpeting joining the two. Outdoor seating available. Several vendors, selling their wares, make waiting for your meal a fun shopping experience! Their bread is supplied by local Auspicious Baking Company - a plus! The 420 Honey was delish with turkey, melted cheddar, honey mustard and thyme butter. Hubs thoroughly enjoyed his 2 cheese, butter thyme grilled cheese! Sandwiches range $8-16 with several side options, too. Brunch cocktails available.

If you would have taken the time to actually read any of my other yelp reviews you may have gained insight into my sincere style of reviews (food/service/setting). Yelp is not the end all and I am sure some, not all, reviews are not sincere or applicable. FYI ! Burger King isn't in the top 30 reviews for Yelp in Savannah... facts matter... Best of luck with your business and self congratulatory replies....Southern Charm, not so much. Might wish to focus on customer satisfaction and raising your health score instead of bashing yelp reviews.

What a cute boutique sandwich shop with specialty sandwiches! They also sell clothing and various other merchandise here. Finches appears to have been a gas station before that was converted to a restaurant. There are still old gas pumps up front along with several tables. At finches, you order your food inside the store, and there is either outdoor seating or an enclosed space next door that has indoor seating that is equally well decorated :) My husband and I have had their turkey, BLT, smashed avocado and ham sandwich and everything has been pretty good. We have also tried their lattes and banana pudding, and you just can't go wrong with a delicious dessert from here. Update: Top left- stiffler's mom= grilled chicken on ciabatta 7/10 Top right- ham and avocado 9/10 Bottom right- the works = sausage and egg on grilled Hawaiian bread 10/10

Super cute place! Amazing service, awesome food! My husband I are super picky and don't eat ANY fast food, which is ALK you can find these days .....very friendly counter agent: and prices are NOT HIGH for the quality.

Quaint little place, no one to greet us, hard to understand how it all worked. Watched two people have their food delivered to their table but was told I had to go outside and fetch my own at the window. While nice enough - the customer service is better suited for millennials and not Gen Xers. Wickedly overpriced.

A little place with so much charm! This converted gas station is an instagramer's dream! As soon as you pull up to Finches' you'll notice the fun and tactfully designed outside eating areas. The main building is half boutique and half restaurant where you place your order. The menu consisted of artisan sandwiches, soup and sides. I had the chicken soup. It was a decent portion size and full of flavor. There was a subtle hint of lemon, yum! My friend had the grilled cheese. As soon as it was delivered to our table I regretted not getting that! He said it was amazing! Before leaving we discovered they have additional seating inside, which is perfect for the winter months in Savannah. This place is definitely a gem. Five stars all the way!

You feel at home when you walk in the door of their adorable, quirky cafe located on the road to tie famous Bonaventure Cemetery. We had a Turkey BLT and tots paired with an iced Lavender Latte, perfection on a 90+ degree day. Stop by and soak up the charm of this cafe located in a vintage gas station.

Such a fun place to stop by! My friend and I went for brunch and I absolutely loved it!!! I figured it was just a little sandwich shop but boy was I wrong! It's a sandwich shop but they also have a little store inside with such cute stuff! We even had a alcoholic beverage while there.

Have you heard about this cute new sandwich shop that recently opened? Well if not, you need to! Finches is locally owned and operated and the love they put into their food and shop is obvious. I tried thhe vegan soup - delicious - as is the Finches Dip and Chips (it's addictive!) And hey, they have their beer and wine license so play hooky and grab a PBR or rosé and sit outside for the afternoon. But there's more to the name than "sandwiches", don't forget the "sundries". You'll be pleasantly surprised- fabulous candles, designer sunglasses and more. Stop by to sip and shop; it's my favorite combo. Finches is on a sweet little street in Thunderbolt, definitely worth the drive from downtown.

Great grilled cheese!! Nothing like a typical Deli grilled cheese. It was big too. I added a photo because the other photos made the sandwiches look smaller than they are. My husband enjoyed his meatball sandwich, too.

Saw this charming converted gas station into a restaurant and it required stopping for lunch. The avocado toast is huge, the egg salad sandwich a balance of flavors, the grilled cheese and tomato soup a tasty combination, and the corn bread outstanding. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is ample outside seating and they also serve drinks.

Cute but hidden little gem. I went here from breakfast before heading to the airport and it was the perfect place. There is coffee, beer, wine etc in addition to food. The food was great and the staff was friendly.

I saw an ad for this in Savannah magazine and wanted to give it a try. I am glad I did - the food was excellent. We had the breakfast sandwich, the grilled cheese and the turkey sandwich. Loved everything and would go back again. Also the staff was super nice and the atmosphere is great.

Tried this place for lunch because of the great reviews. Had the turkey sandwich (had a much fancier name that I can't recall) and my side was the salt and vinegar veggies. Sandwich was very good. Veggies (unfortunately for me) were mainly all celery with one carrot slice, one cauliflower piece and 2 half slices of cucumber. Literally all celery and that happens to be one of the only veggies I don't like. Flavor overall was good. Maybe I just got a batch that was too heavy in celery without the other good veggies. Atmosphere was great, lovely sitting outside and service was nice as well.

Cute cafe with excellent service. We enjoyed the Whilst You Turk, the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, the Yukki Durky, and the Sausage & Peppers sandwich! All four were delish! Dined with friends and would definitely come back.

Cute little cafe! I little hidden but definitely worth it. Ambiance is great, staff super friendly and accommodating. Had the best turkey sandwich as well. They didn't skimp out on the Turkey and the flavor was great!

Go. Every bite of Finches is fabulous. This is a takeout or outdoor seating place only, but don't let that sway you. They have a limited menu but the sandwiches rival the best sandwich shops we've seen in Savannah and even in New York. The grilled cheese is mouthwatering and the bread it is served on is stellar. But the queen of them all is the "Oh, Beth," which is as beautiful to look at as it is to eat. Rich red tangy tomato relish juxtaposed with deliciously green basil pesto, with deli cut turkey, curly lettuce, cheese...it's an explosion of flavor for your mouth. We got a cupcake on the way out and it had a wonderful, handmade taste you don't get with commercial baked goods. The outdoor seating among charming antique gas pumps is a nice way to spend a Saturday lunch. Cheery staff are the butter on those delicious breads. We'll definitely return and bring guests.

Not surprised this place is at 5 stars. Fantastic sandwiches. I had the "little Italy" which was anything but little. Wife had the Millennial Toast which was fantastic. The Little Italy had great bread, which is not surprising since they use Auspicious Bakery products for their bread....so we've been told. Nice customer service. Sat outside. Highly recommend going there. Easy to find, plenty of parking.

Enjoyed our delicious sandwiches in a cute, unique setting. Unfortunately, the prices are a little steep. If you're on vacation or visiting Bonaventure and need a convenient spot to grab lunch, it may be worth the splurge. We are locals so the Chick-fil-A on Victory Drive is more our price range.

So glad my friend recommended we eat here! The food was so fresh, looked just like the pictures online, and just tasted damn good. Nice ambiance at the restaurant too, especially with the small marketplace that's curated so so cute!

The pro: they offer GF bread. The con: the bread is tiny, costs an extra $3 and basically makes 1/2 sandwich. Our grilled cheese was only grilled on one side, the cheese barely melted with a couple of tiny chunks of ham (for another $3). The avocado toast, same issue, tiny GF bread, a good amount of avocado but nothing special. $20/piece for a small basic sandwich was really disappointing.

Wonderful setting, food, boutique and best of all....the humans that cook and serve the tasty offerings. Will definitely darken their door again!

I've gotten the food delivered and was so impressed I decided to pop in for lunch. The location is adorable. Lots of outdoor seating - both casual and formal tables. Yard games. Perfect place to take your kids or dogs for a nosh, visit and a drink. Was also impressed with the selection in the gift shop area. Will prob come back if I need a gift idea. Only downfall I'd say is price - although not out of range for Savannah. You'll pay at least $10 for a Bloody Mary at comparable places around here.

Great little sandwich shop with cute curated shop and awesome owners. Decor is funky and hip and outdoor dining area is super fun. Worth a stop!
