Fine Feathers makes the best kombucha I’ve ever had, hands down. Their flavors are so unique and always delicious, with just the right balance of creativity and taste. My husband and I especially look forward to their seasonal options! Honestly, after drinking their kombucha, I can’t go back to any other brand because nothing else comes close. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. We love supporting such a great local business that clearly puts so much care into what they do.

A hidden gem!!! i appreciate how everything they make is from scratch and when you see and can taste the love and dedication they put into their products. everyone that works there, from the owners to the workers, are extremely nice and humble. their Kombucha is exceptional, so pay them a visit, you wont regret it.

The best tasting booch!! Love all the different flavors, my favorite is the rooibos but I love that you can try different ones on tap! The growlers are a great deal too! I've been a customer since they opened and the staff as ALWAYS been friendly and the owners are amazing and so helpful!! Once you try it it's hard to go back to grocery store kombucha!

Tldr Great products and great people! There's no reason not to visit. Longer review The owners make a really good product because they obviously believe in what it is, and not just because they're trying to turn a profit. It's easy to get a sense of this when just talking to them. Above just selling kombucha though, they very much are working to create a positive community and share their understanding and knowledge with anyone curious. If you see their kombucha for sale I recommend giving it a try, but I highly recommend visiting their shop as well. You'll get a great experience as well as a great drink

Stopped by the tap room rnadomly as we ordered this kombucha at a nearby restaurant (Sura) and it was the best kiombucha we've ever had. So glad we stopped in to sample a few more flavors and buy some cans.

Their silver needle booch is pretty damn tasty! People there are pretty friendly. They let me sample some of their fresh kombucha and even invited me to an event they had going on where people bring in and share their homemade booch! Definitely going back again.

The best kombucha, ever! The ginger kombucha is out of this world but all of their flavors are really exceptional. If you can, go into the physical location and have them give you samples of each flavor. Each one is so delicious!! The staff and brewers are incredible. Very kind and knowledgeable! No other kombucha compares, in my opinion! I wish more restaurants and businesses would start carrying Fine Feathers Kombucha!

So refreshing to have a high quality, plastic free, homemade craft experience so close to home. I loved the employees who are so generous with their time, expertise, and product. I was welcomed in with my own containers and bike in their cozy shop. The kombucha is otherworldly, and I am so grateful they have kept their standards so high and doors open for 13 years.

I've had Fine Feathers' lavender kombucha at some retailers in the area and saw that their facility was open to the public. The location is easy to miss so be sure to keep an eye out and they don't have a lot so you'll also want to keep an eye out for parking as well. I walked in and their facility is pretty no-frills, a small counter with some taps and a cooler. A couple of empty crates of empty bottles and a shoji screen that keeps the production area out of sight. I was allowed to try all the flavors they had available-well one wasn't available because they were low on stock. I didn't get the silver needle, it was a little on the pricier side and I liked it but not enough for the premium. The rooibos was ok, and I liked the sencha but my favorite is still the lavender booch. It was a good visit but since I can find my fave flavor around I don't need to come all the way down here.

Fresh great tasting Kombucha with helpful, knowledgeable staff. For me, I just wish it was closer, but I'm the one who moved! The kombucha is the freshest tasting I have ever found. In this heat, it refreshes your tastebuds healthfully.

Saw the Fine Feathers taproom for the first time this week and decided to stop in. I am not a kombucha connoisseur but lately I've been learning about the proven benefits of fermented foods so I was exited to try a local business . The dude at the counter was cool. He had me try 6 different types and they were all delicious. I ended up buying 6 cans (3 flavors) for $24. One is caffeine free which I'll have my kiddos try and the others are lightly caffeinated. I highly recommend stopping by to give it a try.

I've been buying their kombucha for years, from various local merchants that had their bottles or cans for sale - they were actually the first craft kombucha I tried, that opened my mind to good kombucha being good, and they still make my favorite kombucha I've had so far. But I hadn't found an excuse to visit their actual tasting room until a few days ago - now I'm going to be forever spoiled getting their kombucha anywhere else. We walked in, unsure exactly how it worked, and *immediately* were all handed free tasters. In addition to the year-round flavors I've seen in stores around town (which are all also good), they also have several rotating seasonal flavors, most of which I hadn't tried previously, and any of them they have on tap, you can taste for free. Right now, this includes a couple particularly cool experiments they have on tap right now, including something I hadn't heard of called "jun", which is basically nonalcoholic mead(!!), and a kombucha made with silver needle tea, which is probably the best kombucha I've ever had. I was also surprised to discover that, while I've loved the rooibos palo santo I've bought in cans/bottles around downtown, it definitely tasted even fresher and more vibrant straight from the tap. I was also happy to see them using reusable metal taster cups instead of disposable plastic ones (I guess that's one benefit of having such a small, out of the way operation - though they really *should* be busier, for how great all their kombucha is, haha.) If you want to leave with a lot of one flavor, and you remember to bring your own growler, you can have them fill a growler from the tap, for the best price (you can also buy a growler from them for a few bucks extra). They also have bottles and cans of a lot of them, though, notably including the rotating flavors that mostly don't make it for outside distribution - and they have a 4 for $20 mix-and-match special on bottles! Extra bonus, they charge a bit more for the silver needle (because it's pricier to make), but it's still 4 for $20 for bottles! I just wish they were closer to downtown! (Then again, I'd also spent way too much on bottles of silver needle if they were, so maybe it's just as well I have to drive there.) Just know going in that parking is just street parking, and you *might* have to drive around a bit if it's a busy time of day. Also know that their tasting room is *hot*! (They have kombucha being made right in the back, and apparently it's the temperature kombucha likes brewing at.)

What an amazing delicious beverage! I can't wait to get back out to Long Beach to go to the tap room and know my daughter as a new resident will get there to purchase a larger container of this spectacular kombucha! I look forward to trying other flavors and also highly recommend Wild Chive where I was introduced to Fair Feathers! Now I just need to know if you distribute to NH or VT!

My sister and I love kombucha and we just so happened to run into this place because of the new laundromat mat that opened across the street. Let me say that the kombucha is so good! We got samples and I am looking forward to coming back for more. Very friendly and I am all for small businesses so thank you for being in the neighborhood. :)

Best kombucha and customer service! Very knowledgeable and they let you try the different ones on tap- left with growlers of their Rooibos Palo Santo and Silver Fir both times so far, and enjoying a couple of others we are trying- the ginger and their Love blend. Highly recommend- we drive down from LA and it's worth it!

I've been living so close to the gem for about 2 years and just this pass Sunday... I FINALLY MADE IT IN! We were greeted by Jay, and right away he offered us some samples. I knew after the first sample I was in Kombucha Heaven! First time, I tried kombucha was about 14 years ago. Little by little I got use to the taste and I learned to love it. BUT, their kombucha is light and refreshing. My favorite was the lemongrass oolong. TO DIE FOR!! My boyfriend enjoyed the silver needle. We both walked out of there with our 16oz of kombucha. I can't wait to go back for more, this weekend!! Thank you Jay, for being so welcoming and for the excellent customer service.

So AMAZING to have a kombucha place right in Wrigley! I've seen these guys at the Farmer's Market, but going into their brick and mortar tasting room was worth it for the fun tasting experience and seeing the actual place where the magic happens! Craft kombucha doesn't get any better!

Such a great thing going on here. I happened to come across some samples at Love Long Beach and was hooked right away. When I stopped by their store, Terrence was super friendly and helpful. He let me try a variety of samples including one of his favorites, which is now a favorite of mine. This product delivers.

Celebrating international women's day with a four pack of amazing Kombucha! Toasting the sisters with special gifts from Long Beach. I gave away the three others and kept the purple label lavender camomile for myself. Yummmmmm! Like all other yelpers, I experienced superb service and introduction to their products. My first time here after a coworker raved about it. Now things are opening up I will be back often and sit outside to savor the healthy elixir.

Randomly drove by yesterday and had to make a quick stop! Just so happened to be their 7-year anniversary too which was cool-- there was a lot to see inside. Got to try some samples and immediately fell in love with their booch. Can't go back to general brand names anymore because of the quality difference I can taste. The biggest difference that sold me quick was the lack of pungent vinegar taste you get from your general booch because they don't over brew! I'm definitely not an expert on kombucha but I tried many different brands with organic ingredients--still doesn't compare with fine feathers. Also the price is very competitive with higher-end brands. Only downside is that I dont know where else to buy this other than their store here in Long Beach. Worth the drive for a satisfying kombucha fix!

Stopped by because I love kombucha but haven't had except the stuff you buy at a supermarket. I came right when it opened, and the guy in front greeted me warmly and gave me four samples from tap since I had never been there before. All four samples of their kombucha were SO GOOD, and he walked me through each of them, describing what they were and also how they make their kombucha. I ended up getting a cup of the first sample he gave me (which I honestly have no idea what it was, but it was hay-colored, light, bubbly, tangy, a little sweet), and it was seriously refreshing. I also bought one of their bottles of kombucha in their fridge to take home. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place for newbies who want to get into kombucha. Great service, great booch.

I love this little gem. I was searching for something tasty and healthy to drink so my fiance and I stopped by this place on our way to the beach. When we arrived we were greeted and given a few samples to try, let just say leave whatever idea you have about kombucha at the door. This kombucha is the best I have ever tasted. Every batch is no larger then five gallons and the ingredients are top shelf. I would defiently recommend you stop by and don't just get one try a few you won't regret it.

Why does it always seem like driving to Long Beach is so far? I can't answer that question. But I can tell you that after visiting Fine Feathers the other day it seems much more worthwhile to make the trip. Kombucha is really more my wife's thing. I hardly knew anything about it. Talking to Jay and his assistant Kim definitely made me want to know more. They were extremely helpful and knowledgable. We sampled the three different flavors that they had on tap and found them to be very good tasting. Personally I recommend the Yerba Mate flavor but I really like Mate to begin with. Jay impressed me as being very dedicated to producing the highest quality drinks possible. The shop was clean, well organized (in an industrial kind of way) and I liked that it was an open environment. It gives you the feeling that they're not trying to hide anything. You can see what's going on to a certain degree. In the end we were motivated to buy a case (Twelve 16 oz. bottles). We were there on a good day because they had quite a number of flavors to choose from. Unfortunately they don't make the Mate flavor in bottles usually, only on tap. However Jay told me that if we give him some advance notice he can bottle some. Mate apparently isn't a popular flavor. I was really pleased that he could be so accommodating. But that's the way things are when you support small independent businesses.

Really happy with our first visit here! The, uh... 'booch-tender -?- was super welcoming and willing to answer all our questions and give recommendations, even though we showed up right around closing time. Very generous with the samples as well, and everything was delicious. Lots of great options and the growler fill is a great value. We definitely plan to come back often.

I went to Fine feather kombucha to get a starter kit. The people there are really nice and got to sample there kombucha which was very nice. There roobios was my fav, the day I went they also had apple cinnamon and a roasted rice mixed with something else. All the flavors we're very nice and perfect carbonation. I would definitely recommend going here if your interested in starting your own brew. They'll answer all your questions and go sample some good kombucha. The starter kit came with a healthy scoby and a generous amount of starter tea along with a bag of loose tea and cup of sugar. Go support your local business and get some great kombucha.

Fine Feathers is a cute little kombucha shop that has kombucha on tap. I loved all the samples I tried and ended up getting a 64oz of Sencha Guayusa for energy, since it has caffeine in it. Their kombucha is light, refreshing and delicious! Can't wait to go back for a refill!!

Best kombucha ever! More importantly though, best people ever! Bill was so kind to help me twice with my home brew questions and mistakes. The rest of the staff was awesome and helpful too. My whole family loves their kombucha, from the kids to the grandparents.

My boyfriend is an avid kombucha drinker, whereas I cannot stand the stuff. The smell alone has me opening up windows and sitting away from him whenever he's drinking it.So when he found out that there was a place near my sister's that sold it by the growler, he made it a point to go, towing me along with him. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Jodie and off the bat offered some free samples. Much to my surprise, the smell of the roobios kombucha did not pierce the air like I'm used to experiencing. I stared at the sample cup for quite some time before realizing I should take a sip out of respect. And with that sip, I was converted. I no longer held bad feelings towards kombucha. This was because I was surprised at how pleasant the kombucha was instead of the harsh taste I've experienced in the past. After a sample of the mad monk oolong I was hooked. Not only did my boyfriend grab a 64 oz growler of the roobios, I grabbed the 4 pack of 16oz bottles so I could try flavors that weren't on tap. So far I've liked the lemongrass oolong best and I plan on grabbing a growler of that this weekend when we return. :3 Note that if you regularly come in and buy the four packs you are encouraged to return the bottles rinsed, and after returning 10 empty bottles you get a free 16 oz bottle of whatever's in stock on the house. This is very similar to the stamp cards you see at boba tea houses, but with a more sustainable and eco friendly reason behind it as opposed to just getting you to come and buy more product.

I'm sitting down with a meowler of grapefruit sage kombucha as I write this - feeling inspired! Fine Feathers is a wonderful local business, with engaged and committed employees. Enough about them, though, you're probably reading this, wondering whether the kombuchas and teas are as good as everyone says - they are, better in fact! Really unique and delicious flavors and wonderful quality. It is such a treat to visit their bottling facility/retail, and I will give a hot tip to anyone visiting for the first time - ask them to mix two kombucha flavors in a to-go cup! Many of the flavors are beautiful complements to each other and it's a fun way to get a surprise in every cup! I ask for them to choose the mixed kombuchas. The experts know best! Also, the assam black tea has become a morning and evening ritual at my house. I also keep the pu'erh tea on hand, along with custom tea mixes designed by the owners. My wife shared a new beverage with me. Kombucha. From a large healthy.chain market. Loving new food and bevs, I gave a hearty pull from the bottle. Um.. that's nice honey.... Thank you for sharing. A month later, I bump into a fellow named Jay. He produces Kombucha. He asks if I have tasted it. I reply: yes, thank you. He offers a bottle of his for comparison. I take a hearty pull from this bottle. Then another. All gone. I'd like to try another please. The flavors I've tried are wonderful! My favorite so far is the ginger. It goes awesomenessly with Thai food. The difference must be... Fine Feathers Kombucha is a Local, family owned business, with a very small carbon footprint, it's products crafted intentionally with love and gratitude. Yup. That's it. How can we not know about this kombucha place before?! It's like less than a mile from my house!! My boyfriend tried their first drink from Portfolio Coffeehouse and The Greenhouse. Cayenne and Lemon was his first favorite! I wasn't really a fan of kombucha but I loved their guava flavor. We ended up getting the 6 pack for $22. Really great for the price itself. Plus, we finally got to try all the flavors they have! :D Jodine was very welcoming and friendly--great customer service and of course, we will be back! :D The name itself is so cute and catchy but their drinks are really tasty and flavorful! I've been a fairly regular customer since 2015 (moreso when I lived in LB) so I can't believe it took me this long to write a review! First off, Jay and Jodine are such lovely small-business owners that genuinely take an interest in their product and consumers. The rotating, seasonal flavors along with the standbys make it a new experience every time I make it over. I'm up in West LA now, but there have been times where I've driven down to LBC just for their booch. It's delicious, refreshing, and detoxifying. I adore this operation! No kombucha in SoCal can compare.

My girl and I have searched and searched the isles for the best tasting, best value kombucha. Well, mission accomplished. Fine Feathers is incredible. True, I have only tried two of their concoctions but they have ruined all other fermented teas for me. It's a milder kombucha but the Lemon Cayenne that I love has the perfect balance. It's so smooth that you could chug it all at once but you would be cheating yourself. You need to take your time and enjoy every sip. You can even buy it in bulk or a growler. Insanely delicious! It's high time I write a review for this establishment. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things. From the product, to the cleanliness, to the staff, this place is truly a gem and an extra added bonus to Long Beach. I've been several times but I want to tell you about my first visit a few months ago. I had been reading all the health benefits of Kombucha but wanted to research and find a good place for my first experience. Hence I ended up at Fine Feathers and I'm so glad I did. I was greeted, wooed and wowed by all of the organic Kombuchas on tap. I Finally settled on Silver Needle. Immediately after a consumed a bottle I had an overwhelming boost of energy, mental clarity and overall general good feeling. Did I mention it's organic and it's a green standard buisness. They give back a discount when you return your clean recycled bottles. I can not say how much I love this place. Love this place... Everyone MUST try it.

One of my favorite kombucha brands ever. All of their flavors I've tried are amazing, but their jasmine peony is my favorite. I love how floral forward their flavors are, and how they aren't too sweet.

Ok people listen up. I have long passed this place up because of the stuff I bought at the markets. I finally bit the bullet and walked in to see what was going on and was pleasantly, okI was shocked at the difference in taste. I kid you not. I live around the corner from this place so I lucked out. If you have been drinking what is in the markets, I implore you to visit this place. A gem, inhibit no. No way. This my friends is a nugget. I am not one easily impressed but yes, I was. Walk, run even drive or ride your bike but get here.

Seriously the best kombucha I've ever had. I took their brewing workshop and got the rose lemonade kombucha to drink during the presentation and I immediately fell in love with it! I bought 4 more bottles to take home for later. I 100% recommend getting kombucha from here. I will for sure be back!

This is the best place to get #Kombucha in Long Beach... maybe Los Angeles. Fine Feathers makes me think of great flavor, good bubbles, not watered down, and honest business practices that help serve the community. They give their #organic waste to local gardens for compost. They reuse their bottles and give you a discount if you bring them back. Ask about the Kombucha workshops! Ask about making tea! Get a big 64oz bottle and have a tea party.

Before discovering Fine Feathers, I used to choke kombucha down solely to get the health benefits. You know the kind... vinegary, mundane flavors. Fine Feathers' kombucha is nothing like this. It is smooth with no vinegar taste and their flavors are imaginative and delicious (I'm looking at you, Grapefruit Palo Santo). When you visit, they give you samples of whatever they have on tap to help you decide. They have rotating, seasonal flavors, as well as some they always have brewed. The owners are helpful and super fun to talk to. I highly recommend visiting and stocking up on this incredibly tasty and healthful beverage!

I absolutely love the artistry and care the folks at Fine Feathers have taken to craft the varieties of kombucha. I love experimenting with trying all different brands and flavors of kombucha however after discovering Fine Feathers Kombucha in Long Beach, I found a series of favorites. They offer an assortment of highly enjoyable kombucha that is deserved of sipping and relishing. I love the fact you can taste the kombucha and hear a story behind their creation. The ginger is biting and powerful. The Silver Needle, my favorite, is light and seemingly sophisticated. Jasmine Peony is aromatic and flavorful. The only downside is the fact I moved from Long Beach and am 400 miles away. I will, however, be sure to make a trip to the shop each time I make my way to SoCal.

The owners of Fine Feathers are beyond helpful. The kombucha they produce is by far the best I have ever tasted. We are lucky to have such a gem in the Long Beach community.

I'm new to Kombucha. In fact, I didn't like the taste at first, but I crave it now. I have the worst IBS-C and this stuff is magical for this ailment. As soon as I walked in I received samples of their featured teas. I had a nice conversation with the young lady at the register. I learned that they offer classes, and a recycle program. Just stop by, you won't regret it.

I enjoyed their Silver Needle kombucha tonight and it was absolutely delicious. It is really worth going there to experience their handcrafted kombucha. Wonderful flavor.

Best. Kombucha. Ever. After riding past this place on our bikes a few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I noticed this place. I'm a kombucha finatic while he always thought it tastes too vinegary. We had a Saturday afternoon to go play so we decided to check this place out. We were welcomed and had a lot of questions which Jay answered excitedly. They are very passionate about what they do here. Not to mention the Kombucha was fantastic! Even my bf liked it! I'm always partial to the ginger Kombucha which we bought a growler of. I'm sort of a kombucha fanatic, ok maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I do love it. Put it like this, for me nothing comes before coffee but kombucha is a close second (to my delight they make their own coffee brewed kombucha). This particular drink is not something one can easily get accustomed to, but when you do it's irresistible. I recently turned to it because my favorite drink, coffee, tends to irritate my stomach. After finding all about kombucha's health benefits I found myself more willing to try it, and quickly grew an appreciation for it. Plus I've noticed it's less harmful towards my stomach. At this point I've tried a few brands, artisanal brands you can find at small shops and eateries, and others you'll find at organic markets such as Whole Foods. Fine Feathers is one I've seen at some of the local business in Long Beach, yet I've not had the pleasure until now. Recently, I kept telling myself that I had to come to their shop to have a taste. So I made the trip. I'll admit I was expecting to find a shop with available seating but instead it's a facility used to create and store their products. Therefore, you choose the drinks you want, pay at the neatly decorated counter, and head out. But the wonder of this shop are its charming owners, Jay and Jodine. You'll see how amiable they can be and the joy they show in explaining their story. The passion and love they have for their craft shines right through them. Most striking was their easy-going attitude; making our visit very enjoyable. There's no kombucha I haven't liked yet, I like the subtleties each brand has to offer. Of course, some are better than others, but they're all worth a try. So far the five flavor varieties I have tried from Fine Feathers have been refreshingly delightful. It's certainly become one of my favorites, and the fact that I can directly buy and interact with this shop's owners has made it that much more pleasurable. I've had lavender lemonade, kombuffee, grapefruit, and ginger; of which I would recommend them all.

Found this gem online and went to visit first-hand. Very simple, clean, inviting space and welcomed by Jodine the owner. She was beyond helpful with my questions, suggested one of their classes, and offered samples of their select Kombucha's on tap. They have a nice selection of loose leaf teas, starter kits, scoby's, and a selection of equipment that would benefit any home brewer. You can tell they're all about the community of home brewers, they have lots of classes to improve your craft and the owner couldn't have been any more accommodating. I made the drive from Marina Del Rey and will continue to drive down for classes and supplies as needed. Thank you Fine Feather!!

My girlfriend brought me here for the first time. I had never heard of or ever tasted kombucha so I didn't know what to expect really. I had a strawberry something and a ginger lemon? Not sure lol but it was so good! And I felt great after drinking it... Also you get a stamp card for a free kombucha drink if you return your bottles :) Met the owners who were just so sweet! When my cousin Charles was visiting from Virginia, he's wanted to go to my local health food store. Diet and nutrition are his thing and he's very knowledgeable. Well, Kombucha has saved the quality of my life! Not just any Kombucha - fine feathers are it. Bottom line. It's made on site and the owners are very good at all the ways to make this special, and unique for me.
