This place is a very nice ice cream place. The ice cream isn’t as good as other shops in cape may, but it’s still good. The server was nice and helpful. The menu was organized. The decor was amazing. (Pink walls with chocolate like drips) there were also paper things hanging. The decor was fun and colorful. For the ice cream you get, it is a little overpriced, but in the end, worth it. I recommend the 16 candles milkshake. It tastes like birthday cake, but better. I recommend this place just to try out.

Google
We visited Cape May for a long weekend trip and came across Fine Fellows near our hotel and saw it on Yelp. We noticed the LGBT flag and it definitely made me want to support the business! We ordered two scoops in a cup. Delicious salted caramel pretzel scoop and a moose tracks with graham scoop. You can definitely tell the quality of ice cream is of high quality - which accounts for the higher price. I believe our two scoops was $8 which is quite high, however, I will admit the quality was good and the flavors were special. Not an every day treat because of the price but definitely worth a visit if you aren't local! I also saw that they offered vegan ice cream and milk shakes which is a big plus for my brother who is often left without dessert options. We will be back.

Google
Fun, colorful, and bursting with pride, Fine Fellows Creamery is an amazing ice cream shop located near the heart of Cape May! From a ton of inventive and unique creations, to their delicious staple flavors, Fine Fellows doles out the happiness with every single scoop. Their staff are incredibly friendly and engaging, and can churn out orders in record time. I got the Grasshopper milkshake and was NOT disappointed! If you’re looking for tasty treats with an LGBTQ theme and a colorful, welcoming environment, then you can’t go wrong here!

Google
Gay cream is the best cream, they also have very good tacos with kitchen cabinets which is listed on the secret menu of google reviews, to get the secret menu you must ask the man with a mustache if you can get the sashimi swirl.

Google
Great shop, amazing staff, cute store. We loved the vegan ice cream options. More than one flavor to choose from?! Will be back next time we visit.

Google
I have a nut allergy. I love this place because the staff is very allergy conscious and they take whatever steps are needed to accommodate me and my issues. Is my favorite ice cream place anywhere. My wife has no allergy issues, and she loves it here too!

Google
An extraordinary experience and a delicious ice cream cone! With both gluten free and dairy free options, along with knowledgeable and friendly staff this is a TOP PICK for ice cream in Cape May!

Any place that's dog friendly is cool with us. Plus my pup and I both loved the ice cream!

Yelp
I had Fine Fellows Creamery bookmarked for a few years now, well before I ever made any plans to visit Cape May. However, I always knew I would be back, and when I did I wanted to check this place out. I love ice cream, and while they can be a dime-a-dozen on the Jersey Shore, FFC stood out with their great Yelp reviews and the high visibility of its owners across social media. I had finished dinner and was looking for dessert, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to stop in for some ice cream. FFC is located on Beach Ave, right in the heart of one of the main drags in Cape May (also, conveniently around the corner from where I was staying). The decor is super fun - the entire space is decked out in Pride decor, with colorful ice cream aesthetics on the walls and an overall upbeat vibe. FFC serves Bassetts Ice Cream, I'm not familiar with the brand but apparently their cream content is higher than average so how bad can that be? They have several flavors to choose from, as well as a number of toppings, sundae combinations, and milkshakes. I decided to go with Moose Tracks in a cone - I was able to choose the number of scoops I wanted (I got two), as well as the type of cone I wanted. The ice cream was really good - super creamy with lots of peanut butter cups and fudge; the moose were stampeding. Service was also great - I was taken care of promptly and everyone I interacted with was very friendly. Overall, this was a yes - with the plethora of ice cream spots in the area, FFC stands out by serving high quality product in a fun and inviting atmosphere. I would definitely return the next time I find myself in Cape May.

Yelp
Unfortunate to see this shop is temp closed. Went a few months ago and had to drop a review because the ice cream was great. Got the strawberry and coconut. The bold and creamy flavors really stood out. Has a cool old school ice cream shop vibe and service was good. Hope they get back to business soon!

Melanie M.

Yelp
End of season (mid-Oct) so thankfully they were still open and still had the salted caramel pretzel ice cream! Cute decor and friendly service.

John L.

Yelp
We came here to try it out. We got a milkshake and 3 cones -- the bill was $40. Sorry but that is way too much for this ordinary ice cream. And the milkshake was not good for $14. Ok but definitely not worth the cost!! Go to Uncle Charlie's on the Mall instead.

Yelp
Love this Ice cream parlor! The inside of Fine Fellows is very unique as color is everywhere. It's just so fun! The staff is so laid back but very helpful and kind. I can tell they treat their employees very nicely- no matter what. There are many toppings and add-ons available making it a special sweet treat on your to go or from the beach. It's in a very good location so don't feel bad if you find yourself going back twice in one day- lol. I highly recommend visiting Fine Fellows Creamery while you're in Cape May, New Jersey!

Yelp
I remember visiting this ice cream shop many years ago, and wanted to check them out again. My friend and my family and I were visiting for the night, and were in the mood for some ice cream, so we drove over here. There was a little bit of a line going out the door, but we didn't mind that. The inside is so cute and decorated beautifully! I loved the painted ice cream with sparkles on the wall! They had rum raisin a few years ago, which is what my Mom and Nana were looking forward to, but unfortunately they no longer have it. One recommendation is to put the ice cream flavors on the board towards the front as people walk in. There are two cases of ice cream, so when you walk in, you don't notice the other case with additional flavors. Having a board that is interchangeable where you can pull out certain flavors if you're all out or a chalkboard with flavors written out would be really helpful so people know what is available to order (and will probably make the line move quicker too). When it was my turn to place my order, I was trying to place everyone else's order first, and then mine. We ordered two scoops of mint chocolate chip, one scoop of strawberry, two scoops of birthday cake, and the Pretty in Pink milkshake. After I gave the milkshake order last, I heard one of the employees (who I think might be one of the co-owners) say to the gentleman helping us "It's alwaysss the milkshake last, isn't it?" and they laughed. I understand looking back that I probably should have said the milkshake first, as that takes the longest, but at the time, I was worrying about ordering everyone else's ice cream. And I also didn't know what exactly I wanted. I just felt like the comment was a little unnecessary. We had to wait probably another 5-7 minutes while the milkshake was being made (but again, not a problem because that's my own doing lol).

Yelp
Great location right from the beach. Nice fun decor and friendly staff. Ice cream was good but not over the top excellent. Probably 7/10. Unfortunately, the prices are over the top. I could easily give this place a 4/5 or 5/5 if the prices were more reasonable.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Saw all the great reviews and had to stop in!! They are located right across from the beach making it the perfect place to stop in for a refreshing desert. I tried the mango tango foxtrot smoothie and I could probably have one of these every day.

Kate M.

Yelp
We visited this place with high expectations given the many 5-star Yelp reviews. I'll be honest - I'm not sure what the hype is here. The decor was rainbow bright and fun and decked out for Pride, which was cool, but the rest of the experience was pretty meh. The man who I assume was the manager or owner was bossing around the younger workers most of the time we were there. The ice cream is store bought and nothing special. The cones were a bit stale. And it was way overpriced - over 13 bucks for two cones. There's nothing inherently wrong with it. It's just your run of the mill ice cream. I'm going to chalk it up to people being hyped up from the beach, since this place is beachfront.

Yelp
Comes here every summer with the family. The icecream is definitely our favorite. My girls loves the mint chocolate chip and strawberry. The quality of the icecream - GREAT ! Price - a little bit high Decor - cute Perfect for family or a night out with your spouse.

Yelp
This ice cream parlor ROCKS..! The attention paid to each and every customer is authentic and truly special..! My daughter ordered ice cream with sprinkles and not only did they roll the ice cream in sprinkles, they gave her the cup with the rest of the sprinkles. Both children also received free lollipops. The gentleman who served us was a charm. I really appreciated that he asked my permission prior to offering the children the lollipops and the chocolate dipped cone with sprinkles that my son had requested. We'd visited the prior evening with a friend, so this was our second time. We will be back..! 6/22 They now offer vegan ice-cream. Hurrah!

Yelp
This ice cream is so good! Met the owner, Dustin, who is such an awesome guy. Told us about the really good local restaurants. Very helpful in getting to know the area! Thank you Dustin.

Yelp
Very disappointed. Ate here last fall and it was great. Not so much time time around. First of all, the person behind the counter was a bit rude....my friend's mask had slipped down her nose and he motioned for her to pull it up. He was behind glass/plastic and so were we. It's not like we were doing anything on purpose, and he could have been a bit more polite about how he acted. Then the portions must have really shrunk. We each got a small, which cost over $5 and the scoop was the size of two golf balls. Last year a scoop was softball sized, if not larger. Not impressed this time. Enjoyed another local ice cream shop much better. And you don't have to send a reply FOUR times with the same information. I get it.

Yelp
We met one of the owners, Dustin, when we visited Cape May and he is certainly is a fine fellow. :) The regular ice cream was great (I tasted some), but since I am Vegan, I got mango sorbet and chocolate. OMG! GOOD! ...and huge portions!!! My wife and I stopped by 2 more nights while we were in Cape May and all 3 times Dustin was welcoming, fun, and funny. Without naming names, I'm just going to say that I've been to the "more famous" Cape may ice cream places, but Fine Fellows is the best!

Yelp
Absolutely DELICIOUS ice cream! We came from dinner and were all pretty stuffed, but all of our choices were so yummy we all finished. There's a great variety of flavors, and a fairly solid vegan selection as well -- which I was told was also delicious (tasted creamy and rich, not like it was trying to be healthy) by my vegan friend. Decorations are cute as well, and the staff were all great!! I appreciate being able to have samples and the dripping ice cream painted on the walls was an adorable touch :) fun atmosphere!

Yelp
Not to be confused with some really well-crafted trenches for farming (Fine Furrows), some really hot people stalking you on Insta (Fine Follows), Mia and her cute family members (Fine Farrows), and then what I give to lucky boys with money (Fine Fellatios). What to get: Pretty much anything you want. Every flavour is delicious. "Depeche A La Mode" rocked our world (we altered the ice cream to Salted Caramel) and all the Sorbets are top notch. What not to get: Busted giving Fine Fellatios in the alley behind the shop. This is an absolutely wonderful ice cream shop in Cape May which is one of my favorite towns in the world. The quality and deliciousness of these products are second to none. The guys just really love ice cream and they know how to make it. They are a lovely little family and we value them as friends and socially-conscious progressives as much as we do ice cream makers. But speaking just about the ice cream we're talking about some of the best you'll get anywhere. So give it a try and see for yourself. The Liege Waffle is authentic Belgian and incredible. Nearly as good as Wafles & Dinges in the city. The Depeche A La Mode combo that comes with chips on top of it is surprisingly perfect and I'd get it again in a heartbeat (check the pix). Salted Caramel Pretzel is my fave flavour. It's incredible. English Toffee is great too. Sorbets are yummy. All the sorbets are highlights of the menu, actually. Coffee Flavour (Guatemala Swirls) is good. Definitely one of my favourite ice cream shops in the country, and I'll be back on many occasions. And a shout out to the damn fine fellows running it too (hi boys).

Tulshi P.

Yelp
I was expecting unique flavors and settled for guatemalan ripple ice cream which was great combo of coffee and chocolate flavors with bits of chocolate chunks. I really enjoyed it and the quantity was a good amount for the price. The ice cream parlor is located right across the beach so it's a perfect spot to stop by after being on the beach.

Yelp
Stopped in here on our final night in Cape May with my family. We had been getting ice cream at all the different shops around town all week, and hadn't tried Fine Fellows, as there was a line out the door every time we tried to get there. I'm happy that we got in on the final night. They have an extensive menu and a good variety of flavors. My kids were happy with the basics, as is my wife. I went crazy and asked them to make me a Banana Cherry shake, and they did, and it was awesome. Server behind counter was friendly, and in order to keep things moving, offered to bring my shake outside, as it was going to take a bit of extra time to make. No problem. You can certainly tell the quality of ice cream is pretty good...and once again, you do get what you pay for, because we were averaging around $24 for four ice cream orders at most of the shops around town. At this place, we went over $30, so expect a bit of sticker shock, but also expect the quality to be high.

Will L.

Yelp
This small ice cream place is located pretty conveniently near the beach, and it serves Bassett ice cream. Fairly small space, so it was a bit unnerving that there were several unmasked people inside, but the only staff there was pretty young, so I don't necessarily blame him. They have the signage to ask people to wear their masks, but hard to enforce with just one person working. I got a single scoop of Guatemalan Ripple, which is coffee-flavored ice cream with fudge ripples throughout. It tasted quite good, but it was a bit pricey for not a whole lot of ice cream. My wife got a milkshake, which was also pretty pricey - probably effects of being so near the beach. Overall not too bad, but a bit pricey for what it is. They do take credit cards, unlike some other ice cream spots in the area.

Samantha P.

Yelp
Don't miss this place when you are looking for a sweet treat! Super fun atmosphere, great staff, and awesome ice cream. Also a nice variety of dairy free options.

Sami S.

Yelp
Our second time coming here after having dinner in Cape May :) Love their vegan options, especially for the milkshakes. They don't try to make their vegan ice cream taste healthy, which I personally hate when businesses do. I want my ice cream to taste real!! And Fine Fellows Creamery nailed their recipes!! Such a groovy vibe inside the store. The (very young) boy who was working behind the counter was very sweet and attentive to our large group. Make sure to leave these guys big tips! They got the best ice cream in town! Can't wait to return!!

Jane R.

Yelp
Great location. Good service. Ice cream was good. Nice place to take a break from the beach or rain.

Bob H.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! First off the customer service is top notch! Everyone there was so nice and friendly. They are patient and don't rush you like most shore ice cream shops. They allow you to try samples etc. They use Bassets ice cream from Philly. If anyone knows good ice cream, it's Bassets. My wife went with the English toffee ice cream. She seemed to really enjoy it. I went with the Magilla Gorilla over a waffle with vanilla ice cream. It's seriously life changing. The waffle itself is crispy/sweet on the outside but tender on the inside. It's coated in cinnamon and sugar. The Nutella and banana are a nice compliment with the vanilla bassets ice cream. It's also served with house made whipped cream. It was seriously so good and worth the $14.00 I paid for it as well as the drive from Stone Harbor. We will without a doubt be back. Solid 5 stars

Keiko M.

Yelp
I went there because of yelp's high rates. They have simple ice cream but not homemade. Taste: Good and simple. Price: Pricier. 1 scoop $4, 2 $6, 3 $8. Customer service: Very nice. Parking lot: Street.

Pasquale R.

Yelp
My wife and I fell in love with this place. 3 key ingredients: Great ice cream, friendly owner and great ice cream...I say it 2x because its 2x as good as any place nearby! They serve Bassetts homemade ice cream...so fresh, so delicious... If you see the following flavors when you stop in please order them: ALL OF THEM! All kidding aside, The WHYY Experience and Sweetzels are amazing! Their 80's themed sundaes all sound ridiculous! We didn't try any but it's on our bucket list. We stopped there 4x over 4 days...yes we are gluttonous! Dustin the owner is a pleasure to talk to. My wife and I were crying when we left the last night...Dustin was like family we were leaving. We will be back D... Go here if you are in the area...you will love it! ENJOY!

Amy K.

Yelp
Tasty vegan ice cream options (chocolate, vanilla and mint chip) the dairy options were more plentiful. I got a vegan chocolate milkshake; they had either almond or coconut milk as options for the shake. It was very tasty and even had chocolate syrup in it but it was $12. So if I had a family, it would be quite a pricy place to visit. Owner was very friendly and the staff were nice too.

ann marie c.

Yelp
So the ice cream is good the price is wayyy over the normal ice cream price we got two things and paid 19.25 I asked my kid for change and he handed me a few quarters --- whooazzeer!

Tere N.

Yelp
Was not happy with the experience! I was very rushed because they were closing. They didn't have vanilla so I was asked to hurray and choose another flavor. The ice cream was ok, the scoops were small, and in my opinion very OVERPRICED! 2 scoop sundae, 2 scoop cup and a small cup $29.86. What do you think?

Rachel B.

Yelp
Great ice cream shop in downtown Cape May! They serve Bassett's ice cream so it's really hard to make their ice cream anything but amazing. They offer a wide selection of sundaes, mix ins, and milkshakes. I got one of their sundaes with the salted caramel pretzel crunch ice cream with caramel sauce, chocolate chips, and coconut. Was yummy but VERY SWEET and could've done without the coconut. All in all a great spot but one of the most expensive ice cream shops in the area.

James S.

Yelp
I will admit, the first time I visited Fine Fellows Creamery, the prices scared me away. It is a little pricy, but majority of the businesses in Cape May are, so if you're visiting from out of town, you can't compare it to your local ice cream shop's prices. While they may not make their own ice cream here, the Bassett's Ice Cream that they do serve is delicious. This is a terrific spot to get yourself an ice cream sundae, lots of great flavors and toppings. For me though, there is one specific reason I love this place, and that's the Liege waffles! This is why I visited Fine Fellows twice in one week. Liege waffles are unlike any other waffle you've had. They start out as these baseball size lumps of dough and turn into these oblong crispy, dense, sweet little masterpieces. They've been a favorite of mine since I first tried one at Nina's Waffles in New Hope about 9 years ago. When you top these beauties with Nutella, chocolate, or caramel syrup, whipped cream and a scoop of ice cream, there's no better dessert. I can't recommend them enough. They alone are worth going to Fine Fellows. I recommend trying the Depeche a la Mode, which tops a Liege waffle with praline ice cream, salted caramel syrup, whipped cream, and potato chips. It is the perfect salty/sweet dessert. Then when you get it, you can walk across the street and eat it while you listen to the waves. Can't beat it.

C K.

Yelp
Can't say enough good things...we're so happy to be back after a few years, our kids love the friendly staff and amazing selections, and it's become one of our favorite vacation traditions.

Madhu S.

Yelp
Yummy ice cream and creative sundaes! Definitely worth a stop when you're in cape may. We got scoops of ice cream and they are HUGE! And they don't skimp on the toppings, even giving you a bowl so you get your money's worth in sprinkles!

Tia M.

Yelp
The ice cream here is amazing, however this is not a creamery. They are serving Bassets ice cream from Philadelphia. When I go on vacation I like to find local creameries like Springers in Stone Harbor. The other negative here is that you will pay $7.25 for a regular cone with two scoops of ice cream. I'm used to paying a premium for good ice cream but that ridiculous. Some good flavors to try are peanut butter swirl, banana, and the apricot mango sorbet.

Matt H.

Yelp
Friendly staff, generous toppings and open earlier in the season than most out ice cream places.

Fabrice L.

Yelp
This is just unbelievable to find some Brussels style waffle in the us and even more in cape may! What a beautiful surprise! Congratulation to this young guy who just got it all right! We are fans of those waffles and they really are very much alike the one you ll find everywhere in Belgium (in the good places!). The crunchy sugar chips in the waffle are just bringing some many memories! The owner is also offering a very good service to his customers! We did not try the ice cream but looks good too!

Lauren L.

Yelp
My friend and I chose to satisfy our sweet tooths at Fine Fellows before leaving Cape May! I ordered the Blueberry Pomegranate Chip ice cream on top of a liege waffle topped with homemade whipped cream and sprinkled with some powdered sugar. It was about $9 and served with a smile! The waffle itself was dense, sweet, and filled the entire store with a delightful aroma. The ice cream itself was actually the star of the show for me! I don't usually care for pomegranate, but this flavor was phenomenal with the blueberries and chocolate chips! It looked so pretty in the case, and I thought it would help balance out the sweetness of the waffle. Fine Fellows uses Bassett's ice cream from Philly, so you know it's good quality. We enjoyed our desserts while sitting on barstools facing the ocean! Perfection!

Karen K.

Yelp
Went there while in Cape May. Had the salted caramel pretzel ice cream it was delicious.

Matthew B.

Yelp
This place is freaking fantastic. The service is high quality, everyone is really friendly, the shop is clean and the location is perfect. And oh my goodness! The ice cream is DELICIOUS! Try the moose tracks. And the salted caramel pretzel. Those are my two favorites. I eat them every day on vacation. I know the price seems expensive, but given the size of the scoop, the quality of the ice cream, the late night hours, and the apparent happiness of the great staff, it's well worth it. I can't wait to come back tomorrow.

Sunidhi G.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place, starting with the owners, the decor and the flavors. We entered the shop looking to try some unique flavors. The owners were happy to recommend and give us as many samples as we wanted before we made the purchase. They had lemon flavor which was pretty good. Not only that, they were happy to make recommendations to places to visit and where to grab food. They also have a water cooler so you can drink some water if thirsty. Pretty uncommon in touristy locations. We were so delighted having stepped into the store, for the happy personalized experience they offer. Definitely worth a visit.

Fallon G.

Yelp
Delicious! We ordered a waffle baked in fruity pebbles with fudge and marshmallow sauce. We also asked for a scoop of ice cream and top and MMMMM it was so good. Even though we were full from our dinner, we devoured our dessert in a few seconds. The two staff members were very friendly and even brought our order to the table. A great experience.

Sophia P.

Yelp
Maybe it's the margarita buzz talking but this ice cream joint in Cape May has the creamiest offerings I've had in ages. The Guatemala ripple (mostly coffee) is sublime.

Keegan R.

Yelp
Hands down THE BEST ice cream in Cape May! My person favorite is the Black Sabbath (with chocolate covered pretzels in place of m&ms). The staff is friendly and always smiling.

Fabrizio U.

Yelp
Absolutely the best ice cream EVER had. Simply amazing. The staff is great, friendly and fun. We met the owner and he was awesome. The line out of the door is a clear indication.. this ice cream shop is the best!!!

Katie C.

Yelp
Fabulous service! Cute, beachy ice-cream shop! Also, we were thrilled to see they had gluten-free cones!

K C.

Yelp
It was lovely. The flavors were good and lots of cone options. A great place for a treat and walk Around town.

Amanda H.

Yelp
My friend and I needed a sweet treat to complete our day at the shore, so we headed to Fine Fellows! Although they were limited on flavors that day, the ice cream I had was delicious! I chose the cookies and cream on a wafer cone. It was creamy, packed with cookies, and melted in my mouth! It was also a decent size for being just one scoop. Next time, I would like to try the waffle with ice cream. They make them in house and smell like cinnamon buns! Can't wait to go back!

K D.

Yelp
Nice ice cream stop one of the few actually open until 11 pm. Soft serve just the right consistency, solid flavors, mint chocolate chip, birthday cake. Music themed with paper disco balls and good lighting. Polaroid photos line the walls with a small written memory for each. Fun times.

Kay C.

Yelp
The shop was lovely and colorful, with interesting and unique ice cream flavors (pomegranate and berries and chocolate all together?! Why am I only finding out about this now?). There are even macaroons available. We stopped by on a scorching day after lunch at mad batter then crossed the street to the beach. The ice cream was delicious. The owner was friendly and upbeat. If ever I am in the area, would definitely stop by again!
