My husband and I have been here a few times and it’s been great every time. I’m pretty sure there’s something for everyone on their menu, the specials are such great value and the food is delicious and this last time we were in, Jen served us at the bar and she was awesome. I had the broccoli cheddar soup- 10/10, and steak tacos, the poblano sauce on them is soooooooo good (Tuesday special). My husband had wings and the lunch cobb and everything was fresh and delicious. We’ll be back! I didn’t take any photos …. But I will next time

Finnegan's Grille & Pub is our favorite Wednesday night spot every week! DJ Bingo is so fun, we love sitting at the bar, it's like a family. Ashley is hands down the best bartender I have ever known, she knows all the regulars and also makes newcomers feel so welcome, she makes all the drinks so fast, tends the bar and the table drink orders and never misses a beat, she is calm and cool and we are never thirsty. We also love seeing Jay behind the bar, Ashley and Jay are poetry in motion. The food is delicious, I try to order something different all the time and everything has been great. I can't say enough about all of the employees, the atmosphere, the food, the fun, Finnegan's is a hidden gem and we are so happy we found this wonderful place.

My girlfriend and I ate here this past Sunday. It was our 1st time eating here as well. Everything was phenomenal! My girlfriend was actually impressed by this place for a couple of reasons too. 1st one is that yall have sweet potato fries which she loves and the other reason was the menu prices. We started off with the Sweet Potato Fries basket appetizer. The fries weren't overcooked or undercooked. It was at a great medium especially for sweet potato fries. The appetizer is priced at $8. Now, for that price I wish it came with a bit more fries, like at least another handful. For dinner I had "The Finnegan", mashed potatoes and Guinness gravy over an open faced sammich with sliced prime rib. My only complaint was the gravy, it wasn't bad, I'm just not a fan of the slight bitterness I could taste from the Guinness in the gravy. Nonetheless, I still cleared my plate though, and it was very filling. Not many single dishes can fill me up in a single sitting. (It didn't help that I snacked on some other foods prior to getting real food 😅) Price for it was $16. My girlfriend got the Fish N Chips Dinner Basket. Which is also $16. She's not one to describe how her food is very well, so based on how much she ate and how quick she was eating it, I'd say it was fantastic. She subbed her coleslaw out for a Caesar Salad which has a sub charge of $2.29. Now, for a side dish Caesar Salad it was a lot (which she liked), she had devoured about ⅔of the Salad before the main dish came out. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any pictures of the salad prior to her eating most of it. For the service.... Stephen was phenomenal! He absolutely rocked, especially since he was the only one we saw who was actually working the floor... bussing tables, taking orders, bringing food out, etc. He was all over that restaurant. Hopefully, he's working the next time we are there. If I had a little extra money, we would've tipped him about 15% rather than the 10% we left. As for the atmosphere of the place... it definitely had the bar and grill vibe, but we didn't quite see the irish/Scottish feel for the place either. But this is only our 1st visit here, so I definitely could've missed something that gives off irish/Scottish vibes other than the green color schemes.

Bella was great. Manger Troy not the GM as he claimed he was. Was not so great. Bella was running around serving the 30 top we had reserved for multiple weeks ahead. As well as the 14 top next to us. She was doing it all. Super overwhelmed. Our kids food came out 40 min after we got ours and asking multiple times. When it came out it was cold. My mother in laws never came and had to be reordered. When I spoke with the Manager Troy who claimed he was General Manager was full of excuses. Said he doesn't make reservations so wasn't staffed up because people needed off and didn't make arrangements for additional staff. Offered a whole 10% off bill which I told him to keep. Not to mention the German cock roach that ran across my sister in laws table. Very mismanaged establishment that is only about making money and doesn't care about staff being overwhelmed because of there scheduling misfortunes. Would definitely avoid this place at all cost. This is my 3rd time here and the last 2 where problem ridden. Glad the Manager Troy is happy with his success and managing skills but the way that place is ran says it needs help.

Just passing through and found Finnegans, naturally had to stop because it's my pups name! Food was fantastic, the people were so friendly. Ashley took great care of us ! She's so sweet and efficient. Highly recommend if you're in the area !

We had Finnegan's cater our party for a 75th surprise birthday and everything was fantastic! Everyone loved the food! They set everything up quickly, hot and on-time! We ordered wings, a taco style bar with all the fixin's and salad.

Great place to watch your favorite sports teams! Have never been disappointed. Food is always on point and service with a smile! Always accommodates our every need.

We went with friends to eat and play song bingo. One of the servers found us a table for 5 of us even though the place was crowded. She was super getting us in! The food was good ( typical Bar Food, nothing special) the best part was the song bingo which we enjoyed very much. We sang along and the group playing was fun.

Good boneless wings and cold beer! All the staff and customers very nice to chat with. Will be back for sure!!

I had my first experience here. We brought our 9 year old and sat in the side room on a Friday evening. The restaurant was clean, as were the restrooms. Our server, Trinity was fabulous! I had the California turkey club, my husband had the Philly Cheese Steak. My son ordered a grilled cheese off the kids' meal. We had the pretzel bites as an appetizer. The queso is delicious and all three of us enjoyed our meals. The sandwiches are perfect for eat half now and the the other half tomorrow, which I love. The drinks were well priced. I also want to send a shout out to Ashlee and Alicia who were wonderful and sweet! We will return!

We had a great meal here Monday for burger night, we left before karaoke started. Burgers were cooked to order and yummy. Mine came with mayo (allergic) so make sure you tell them exactly what you'd like. Fries were good , pickle chips were really yummy. Staff was super nice, a little loud at dinner time but seemed to be a fun crowd. The brew we tried was a hit, golden road, great for happy hour. They also have Guinness and Smithwicks on tap. Would love to see Harp as well. Fun to try! We'll be back again to enjoy more specials.

We just found this gem by accident. The food, service and pricing are excellent. You must give them a try and order the Finnegan.. Our new favorite Irish pub.

Nice Pub feel and warm service. Our food order is varied, but everyone was happy with the food flavor and presentation. For me, the fish and chips were an 8 1/2 out of 10. Staff was great and it appears the locals show up strong here...a good sign.

The W O R S T "grille and pub" in Port Charlotte. Hubby and I stopped in to check it out... all locals sitting @ the bar, we sat at the last 2 seats with them... awkward! The bartender (blk hair ponytail) took her time acknowledging us and gave the impression she would rather chat with others instead of getting our drinks! We had the one drink and left never to return again!

Sara is my favorite server. She is very attentive and quick. The food is delicious. I miss Sara Saturday mornings.

Went there for lunch with my wife on Football Sunday so the place was crowded and lively. Food was excellent and the service was great considering a packed room with only two waitstaff in the area. The onion rings were fantastic and truly beer-battered with a very light coating. The burgers were around 1/4 pound but very tasty-I ordered mine without the bun. They featured Chicken and wild rice soup and it was impressive as most restaurants use a rice mix, but this was REAL wild rice too. I will return and hopefully on a less busy day to enjoy something new and different on this menu.

This was my first time coming to this place! My mom has friends who were raving about it so we had to check it out. It's in a pretty odd place, easy to miss, & It's a small establishment, but feels very welcoming. We were greeted by the bartender and then met by our amazing waitress named Sara. She really went above and beyond for us. She gave suggestions, let me sample the Guinness gravy (which I wasn't a fan of but my mom loved it!) and then we ordered our drinks.. their sweet tea definitely doesn't have that southern sweet tea taste so I switched to a root beer. We then ordered the fried mushroom appetizer which was delicious, but then when it came to our entrees they were really pretty average. I got the Cuban with fries and queso, my mom got the wings with mild and lemon pepper. My Cuban was OK. It wasn't really pressed to be crispy like I'm used to. The fries were fries and the queso came with a film over top (assuming it sat for a bit, but I wasn't upset over that) and the wings were..... very vinegary. Even the lemon pepper wings tasted a bit vinegary. I just really wasn't a fan of them and neither was my mom. It honestly just seems like a great place to gather with friends for a drink and apps, but if I was looking to sit down with family and fill up, this isn't the place I'd go. OVERALL an OK experience though!

Great service and great food! Home town bar feel. Had the sampler platter which had a nice variety of flavors.

I've been going to this place for about three years now and the food has always been outstanding great service and I can't figure out but they have like three or four waitresses all the time there and every time I go there we get the same waitress and we don't have to order no more she knows what we like. I feel like that's a good thing then I don't have to worry about what I want to eat because I waitress already knows what we like to eat. So far as I'm concerned, the food is excellent Services excellent

Karaoke night worst I have ever heard this is a confused Irish pub fajitas is a Mexican dish that went horribly wrong gross - you would think that in a Irish pub I would be able to order Irish food there was nothing Irish about this place I mean nothing if your looking for good Irish food stay away on the plus side if your looking for a place to sing and you suck at it this place is perfect for that ...

I was eating here with my family a few days ago, and I was sitting in a booth, and all of a sudden cockroaches started coming out of the walls! It was like a horror movie. Not only did the staff on site not care, but also the food took forever and was cold and bland. It's not hard to miss the cooks screaming at each other in the back. I get that working in a kitchen can be stressful, but at least keep the vulgarity to a minimum at a family establishment! I'm not sure who the owner is, but they aren't running a clean or peaceful restaurant! I'll never go back to this dump. I'll go to Hooter's instead, or maybe I'll go eat under the bridge and probably have less bugs there than at this place.

The attitude we got coming in to have some drinks and to eat at 742 when they close at 9 pm was something I have never experienced before and I will never be back. We never even sat down we were speechless the way she was getting so pissed off that we wanted to eat and have drinks and to top it all off their where about 9 people inside so it's not like they were busy very unprofessional this place should be embarrassed and ashamed for treating customers like that

Wanted to try some place new and closer for St. Patrick's Day. We had high expectations as everyone was decked out in green. Instead of Irish music playing it was regular dj music with an occasional Irish tune sparingly mixed in. People next to us we're disappointed as well and left. Food was mediocre. Nothing to rave about. We will never come back especially for St. Patrick's Day.

The atmosphere is always upbeat, the food is excellent and the staff are always smiling, happy and prompt.

The food and cocktails at Finn's are delicious. The Mai Tai is very good. Service is great and the staff are always friendly.

I previously visited this place after a Google search for Fish-n-Chips so for now if you want to check out their menu, go through Google until this Yelp site is rolling with reviews. Found this awesome place, but realized it wasn't being found within Yelp so I created a new site so others can check it out. It's cozy and friendly and the burgers we had were awesome! The waitress was super friendly and did a great job as well. They do nightly specials worth checking out. It's a Sunday morning and have a taste for a great burger so I'm on the way back at 11:00 am. So far in Port Charlotte, this burger is the only one that suits my picky tastebuds. BTW, the onion rings are awesome as well. Be sure to ask for remoulade sauce for the rings.
