"The city’s old town plays host to this understated restaurant surrounded by attractive period buildings. The elegant interior benefits from modern art for sale on the walls and floral arrangements adding a pop of colour. An overtly seasonal menu means you might be treated to superb, full-flavoured deer when the time is right; but there’s a luxury edge to the offering all year round, with ingredients like Oscietra caviar and top-notch beef utilised with great skill by the chefs. Go for the tasting menu, which flows together wonderfully." - Michelin Inspector

"Try Restauracja Fino (dinner for two, about $62) for experimental Polish fare."

What a great experience. The staff was so cute and very nice, they explained everything perfectly and the food was delicious. Whilst the caviar and the herring didn’t wow us, everything after that was sublime, which made us even forget about the first 2 dishes. We had the wine pairing too and some of them were really nice! I would go back to try a different menu another time.

Would NOT recommend. We arrived and were instantly pushed if we would like to order champagne before even getting a chance to look at the wine menu. We booked on to do the tasting menu, the menu was presented to us and then quickly removed. After a couple of courses, the server asked us for feedback. We provided some feedback on the red cabbage course, informing that a cold cabbage sorbet was an unusual taste and then numbed our pallet and we couldn't taste the rest of the course. This feedback was not welcomed, albeit it was asked for. The 'main' dish arrived for the tasting menu which consisted of a slice of beef. Unfortunately after multiple attempts I could not cut through it, and it appeared it had a bit of sinu (connective tissue) through it. We informed the server who then told me that it was meant to be like this. We put it back, the server then returned informing us that the chef cut the beef into 4 portions and it was 'unlucky' that I got that bit, the chef stated it wasn't his fault as he "can't control what the meat is like" which I understand, however it is not my fault either and I shouldn't have to miss a course. I was then offered a choice from 3 options however I was not able to get the same course from the tasting menu. I was offered a crayfish risotto, another dish, or a extra dessert. I opted for the risotto, which arrived undercooked with the rice being hard and crunchy. Following us sending back the beef to the kitchen, the servers attitude towards us changed. They made no conversation from then. The chef came out into the restaurant and spoke to all the tables and avoided our table. Once the server gave the chef the feedback that the rice was undercooked, the chef then (reluctantly) came over to our table. I was abruptly told that the rice was 'al-dente' to which I disagreed. This was very disappointing as the main dish of the tasting menu was inedible for me. We had the tasting menu, two bottles of wine, and a bottle of water and the meal came to £300, (1500 Polish Zloty). There was a 10% service charge added to our bill which we did not realise. Two servers then came to our table and placed the menu down which it states (in very small writing) at the bottom that there will be a 10% charge. We highlighted the fact one of our dishes had been inedible and the service had been poor and that we were not happy to pay this charge. The server abruptly told us they would speak to the manager. Then returned and put most of the service charge in cash in a wallet and threw it down on the table. We were made to feel incredibly uncomfortable and after spending nearly £300 in the restaurant we left and they did not say goodbye or thank you. It has been the worst experience of a tasting menu I have ever been to.

Excellent restaurant. It’s categorized as Fine Dining. The dishes here have unusual twists and are highly creative! My appetizer was cauliflower in different styles and forms. I can’t explain further as this combination is mad! It’s definitely excellent though. My main dish was Zander fish, a local Polish fish. Again, the dish was cooked in a way that is out of the ordinary! Yes, it was excellent too, and I appreciate that the bones were all removed. I hate removing fish bones! The extraordinary creativity level in the dishes may not suit everybody. The ambiance is very elite and classy. The level of the service is very personal and professional. I highly recommend Fino, but please note that you don’t come here very hungry, as the portions are very small. Additionally, the prices are very high. You come here mainly for the unique experience! Highly recommend

Highly recommended. Perfect tasting menu. Local products and cousin made with love. I enjoyed ever single course. My favorite was the tartar with fresh strawberries and oyster mayonnaise. Very creative food, Super friendly service. Loves that the chef came by after dinner to asked if I liked the food and what were my favourites. Defenintly will come again when in Gdansk.

We had a lovely dining experience here, the plant based menu. Exciting tastes re creating traditional Polish foods a la plant based version. Would recommend!

Definitely the best restaurant during our trip through Poland so far. The service was great, nice atmosphere and really delicious food. All dishes were really creative, kinda modern bistro cuisine but always with at least a hint of polish taste. Price quality ratio is also really good as well, prices are more than fair given what you get.

We did the tasting menu which was stellar. The experience was great, the dishes were well presented, and most importantly, it all tasted wonderful. Chef Koprowski came over to our table and visited with us for a bit after our meal, asking what we thought and explaining his thought process behind a few of the dishes. He very clearly is incredibly passionate about what he does, and it shows in his food. He mentioned their tasting menu changes several times per year with seasonal ingredients, so we likely will come back if we end up in Gdansk again.
