"South Pasadena lunchtime staple Fiore Market Cafe is in new hands, with owner Bill Disselhorst announcing on social media that he has sold his beloved 12-year-old restaurant to Linda Grace, who owns the nearby San Marino Cafe. Grace has been a longtime local operator herself, and Disselhorst — whose wife and co-owner died in 2017 — says that the place will be in great hands moving forward. “I am so grateful that she is the one to carry on the tradition,” says Disselhorst on Instagram. “It’s been an amazing run.”" - Farley Elliott

Food: 8.1/10 (Sooo good. I dream about that sandwich) Service: 8/10 (Memorable!) Atmosphere: 6.8/10 (Right off a busy road but otherwise charming) Coffee: 7.2/10 (Lavender Iced Latte) I literally dream of that sandwich often. I am not always able to get down to Fiore for a nice sit-down sandwich, but I always want to. The coffee was really good too. Please go and try a sandwich, it may change your life.

Look no more for the best gourmet sandwiches in LA. Homemade and loaded of real ingredients. Its noticeable that they spent hours in the kitchen preparing and cooking for us to enjoy their food. From early in the morning when they bake their fantastic sourdough loaves and pastries. Those 20 minutes when the food is being craft to order, seem eternity to who has ate here before. Especially knowing that what you are going to get, is the same that you remember eating before.

I have loved this little spot for more than a decade and have missed it since moving away from California but it was a number one on my list of places to come on a visit back. The quality has remained the same, and it did not disappoint! I went with my go-to short rib sandwich and it was all I remembered it to be! My tummy and tongue are so happy ❤️

Google
One of the best breakfast burritos in the world. The short rib add-on is a must. Whoever came up with this burrito deserves a hug

Google
Only leaving a review to say that the last two times I came the bread has lost its freshness and chewiness, which is a bummer since this is the strongest asset of this place Dough should be mixed a little longer for extra gluten strength and baked a little closer to lunch time! 🙏🙏

We ordered the Asian chicken salad, ice tea, and it came with their home baked bread and we ate in their patio. Delicious! So, I ordered to go too.

Randy Reyes

Google
Great cafe for all things bread and chicken. The bread is homemade and quite good. The chicken is also roasted on site and used in a variety of dishes. I'd highly recommend any of their sandwiches or chicken dishes because of this.

Laura Publico

Google
Very fresh tasting ingredients, prompt service calming atmosphere to sit and have a great lunch. Full size sandwiches are a generous portion

Yelp
I've been coming here for years since the original owners started it. It's under new owner recently who honors the vibe of the menu. For example, it still has fresh loaves of bread, sandwiches, & pastries. I believe she is going to culinary school too; this effort shows passion to me. I am looking forward if there more menu experimentation, which I'm sure has been done. Also, it would be great to see one new chip option that has more simple ingredient, like Torres chips. That is something that is important to me. My go to order is chicken sandwich with side of chips and Arnold Palmer. It's simple and good but could improve. I'd give food 4 stars out of five. But I'm giving this place 5/5 for ambiance, really kind staff, which contributes to experience. It's such a relaxing place to eat and recommend coming off hours as if you come during busy times and want to eat there with large group, I feel it's stressful because others want to sit down too and gets low key competitive. I'd recommend going to eat at a park with the food instead. There's a walking distant park/library.

Yelp
ohhhh Fioree! A solid delicious and cute spot! Food: -Fiore Breakfast Sandwich: I just really love their bread and then the breakfast sandwich parts are just delicious add ons!! their bread is house made I believe and it's quite the fluffy delicious kind. Service: -You go in and order, the staff is welcoming and friendly and informative! Food comes out pretty promptly as they find where you're sitting outside. Ambiance: -Outdoor seating has such a backyard vibe and though it's on the corner of a busy street, the side where the eating area is is slightly quieter and that vibe is helpful! It's really lovely Overall: -Fiore is a staple, the hours are not allllll day so keep that in mind! But it's definitely worth a midweek brunch or lunch!

Yelp
My friend was raving about these sandwiches so we decided to stop by for lunch on a Saturday! Tables were almost full outside and had a small line, but not too much of a wait. Per my friend's suggestion, I ordered the tuna and the pork belly. The bread was so thick but I didn't like that it wasn't toasted. I personally am not a fan of cold bread which was a reason I didn't rave as much as my friend did. Tuna: this sandwich wasn't anything special. The tuna was fresh but have definitely had better tuna elsewhere. Pork belly: this sandwich is incredibly messy!! The pork belly is quite thick and the fig jam adds another sticky gelatinous layer. I wasn't looking forward to the sweet and savory combo but was surprised how much I liked the flavors, especially the fig jam. I did, however, feel like I could have just had a toasted fig jam sandwich. Overall, ok sandwiches. Don't think I'll be back unless I'm craving just the fig jam (hold the sandwich please). Street parking is pretty easy around here!

Yelp
I hadn't eaten here since the original owner Bill sold the cafe in 2022 as I wanted to give the new owner time to settle in. I'm sad and disappointed to say that the quality just isn't the same. No wonder they're changing the name and rebranding. They still have most of the original sandwiches, among new ones, available on a daily basis but they cut Egg Salad and Chicken Curry out of the menu. I got my two other favorites Roasted Chicken Pesto and Pork Belly. The first bite of the Pork Belly was so depressing... the meat in both sandwiches were dry and the bread tastes and feels different even though it's supposed to be the same recipe. Comparing my old photos to what the sandwiches look like now, there is a clear difference. I couldn't even finish half of the Roasted Chicken before wanting to toss it in the trash. The prices have also gotten ridiculous. $19 for a sandwich?! Yikes. Sadly, probably won't ever come back. Sigh, what an end to an era.

Peggy V.

Yelp
I was so excited to come back and try their short rib sandwich, but I was so disappointed. Their prices shot up and their quality is not the same. Either they don't care if they serve soggy sandwiches now or they took forever to give us our sandwich.. either way, not the best experience and probably won't be returning.

Yelp
I saw the notice about the change of name on the beloved Fiore. It hurt so much! I've been coming to fiore since 2015. I worked 2 blocks away and ordered at least 2x a week. It became this establishment that brought joy into my life. I saw that things were going to change in the upcoming months and so we decided to grab our last favorite bites before it starts. Sadly it already started. My favorite sandwich was the rare roast beef with balsamic onions! When I'd see Bill I'd always ask for extra onions and he was say "isn't it the best" I got my sandwhich and it has a heavy horseradish mayo. Really dense bread and noooo balsamic onions! Should I cry? I might. I've taken out of towners, friends, coworkers, family, just about anyone that would ask me where can I get the best bite. It was Fiore. It will always be Fiore.

Yelp
What a cute spot! Came by around 10 am, so lunch wasn't being served yet - but they let me know their soup was ready. The lemon chicken orzo soup was sooo good. I also had the cinnamon roll and they warmed it for me! The cream cheese frosting was amazing and the inside of the roll was so soft. Will def be back!

Vanna T.

Yelp
Absolutely love this cute lil market cafe. Friendly and very quick service. Not only are their sandwiches scrumptiously good, but they have the ultimate BEST lemonade ever. My go-to items are their Lemonade and Roasted Chicken Sandwich served with Argula Salad. Everything tasted very freshly made and just simply splendid. The portion is perfect for a quick lunch meal. Definitely coming back to try their other menu items. Also love the nice outdoor seatings. They have private restrooms where you need a key to use it. This is great since there are a lot of vagrants in the area and keeps their restrooms clean.

Yelp
Friday Sammy Tour stop #4! I can't even tell you how many times I have driven by Fiore, admired the cute neighborhoody cafe, and said I was going to visit soon. It's been years. But finally.. on our tour of sandwich spots..Fiore is on the calendar. Parking can be a little tricky. You might get lucky with street parking once in a while. There seems to be a steady flow of patrons picking up orders to go. There are several small areas for seating outside. Seating areas are much bigger than the inside space that is designed for ordering only. Paper menus are available at the counter. They serve sandwiches, salads, and coffee. Kids menu is also available. Bagged chips and pastries surround the counter to accompany your meal. I dare you to resist a giant cookie or lemon bar. We ordered: - Iced Vanilla Latte - Pork Belly Sandwich - Za'atar Garlic Chicken Sandwich - 2 cookies - 1 lemon bar Pricey but delicious so I can't complain too much. The pork belly sandwich was well worth the price as it was stacked with more than plenty of meat. I didn't love paying $5.50 for a cookie though. I had heard great things about their roast beef sandwich so Fiore might make another rotation on the sammy tour.

Yelp
Sad to see Fiore go, but also not surprised. To be told, "change is hard" as a response to loyal customer feedback says a lot. And in reading the current owner's statement on why Fiore is changing on Instagram, I can see that feedback wasn't welcome. Fiore was a cozy, special space for the community of South Pas that was cherished for all the years Bill operated it and beyond. I know running a restaurant is difficult, I'm just sad to see it go like this.

Mary F.

Yelp
I've been going to Fiore Market for years and have LOVED their lovely outdoor area and especially their bread. My favorite sandwich is the tempeh. I ordered from Fiore about two weeks ago and it was so disappointing. The tempeh was dry and absolutely flavorless. Nowhere near the standard it had been previously. I know the restaurant is under new ownership and I understand that the new owner wants to keep a lot of the same menu which is great. I want to be open minded and respectful as I can understand how hard it must be to run a restaurant AND take on a new endeavor while trying to keep old customers happy. My review is not in the spirit of tearing down but rather an honest reaction in the hopes that preferences are heard so that customers will not be lost. Rooting for the new owner!

Lidia F.

Yelp
My review is based on a to-go order via Doordash. I always order the same things, with an add-on for extra sauce or add on for tempeh. However, the server and kitchen never checked that it was an adds on, and the customer paid for the extra they ordered. I ordered 5 times from Doordash, and only one time was right. The receipt and printed paper on the paper bag stated that it was an add-on. I called one time to make sure they gave me extra dressing, but they forgot to put on the tempeh. I mean, the server needs to double-check when they packed the food. Also, if the kitchen has a language problem or barrier, let them know that the add-on is an extra that the customer paid. Attach the picture all of receipts with different date and all missing add on. And yes I paid for it the extra ginger sauce. One mistake is fine but many times? Means they do not even care and check

Davon P.

Yelp
The perfect little spot to have an outdoor lunch on a beautiful sunny day! Blessed to live walking distance from here! Staff is overall friendly and welcoming, while the food is delicious and packed with flavor. I recommend the breakfast bacon burrito, the breakfast sandwich with bacon, the breakfast plate, pork belly sandwich, and their chicken sandwich!

Peter X.

Yelp
Cute little shop in south pasadena. Went for the first time recently and had the roasted chicken sandwich, which was delicious, flavorful, not overwhelming, and quite delightfully solid sandwich. I'm not usually into chicken sandwiches because most places tend to put too much sauce or the chicken is overly dry, but this cafe makes the salad quite well, so the right balance of sauce and well-made chicken. The wait time around lunch hour is a little long if you are short on time, I waited in line for about 7-8min and then another 10min for the food to be ready, so budget 20min if you are going during peak lunch hour. Parking is on the street in the surrounding neighborhood so you may need to park a little far and walk to the cafe during peak hours. Solid place for a quick bite, but space is limited, although there's outside seating, some under direct sun, so plan accordingly. Probably not the best place for large parties as food may take a while to come out.

Mark N.

Yelp
All plastic - no sense of environmental responsibility. No flavor and portions huge beyond reason.

Marissa S.

Yelp
I really debated between three and four stars. When I composed my original review, I was a frequent customer...close to once a week which is quite a lot seeing how it's about 45 minutes to an hour one way for me. I did it because this place was super special and the food was top-notch. Then, unexpectedly, the freshly baked bread changed. The taste and texture were different. I later found out that there was a change in ownership and the new owners were experimenting with the bread production. Thankfully the new owners went back to the old ways of how the bread was made. But after that, I started to notice small changes that slowly took away from the magic of Fire: the sandwiches were smaller, there were often issues with my orders (the most significant being there were no chicken in my Asian Chicken Salads), and there were now extra charges for most things that previously didn't exist. I totally understand that places (especially small businesses) need to increase prices to keep afloat especially with rising costs. I don't mind paying more in order to maintain the quality and size of items. It was just that the extra costs here and there as well as the decrease in size and quality were just a little too much for me. This place is still good, but it lost some magic for me.

Ketchup B.

Yelp
Yummy blueberry danish, it's on the pricy side, it's $8 each. Outdoor sitting area is cute and neat.

Kari L.

Yelp
Who can afford a $20+ smallish sandwich? Their prices and extra fees keep jumping up and it's just become unreasonable for the amount of food you get. The meat is minimal and the side salad is wilted, soggy, and warm 100% of the time. Their basic chicken sandwich has some dry-ass chicken, burrata and pesto. No veggies or pickles or anything.

Kunous K.

Yelp
a hidden gem in the area... it's not very visible unless you intent to search for it, Very simple decor, no indoor sitting, the only indoor portion is the cashier. People are friendly and smiley all time. Food choice is limited but quality is good, I especially like the roast beef sandwiches, vert fresh and tender roast beef, one of the best I ever have. Oh, no hot coffee (which is kind of odd for a brunch place) only cold brew and iced tea.

Aliyah C.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch - service was quick and very polite but they forgot my coffee so I had to ask for it. The sandwich was good and large enough for two meals. There is street parking if you are able to catch any.

Tomoyo S.

Yelp
I am so so sad that they changed their bread...this cafe was my favorite place. My kids even loved there too. Their bread was so fluffy, moist and fresh inside and crisp outside that didn't even need to be toasted. Every time I went there, I always made sure to get a loaf to take home. I just went there yesterday and the bread was dry and totally lost its freshness. Please bring the original bread back!!!!

Annie T.

Yelp
What has happened to this once-beloved establishment? Please bring back the bread! A few weeks ago, I ordered my favorite chicken sandwich. But what I received was a shadow of its former glory, a heartbreak on a plate. The bread was gone, and with it, the magic that made this place a South Pasadena gem. This shift in quality feels like a betrayal of everything that made this restaurant special. What's happened to the ownership? Where is the attention to detail, the pride in the recipes that we, your loyal customers, cherished? I'm seriously considering starting a Change.org petition to demand the return of the recipes and standards that once defined this place. To see such a treasure run into the ground by what feels like pure incompetence is nothing short of disheartening. This wasn't just a restaurant--it was a cornerstone of the community, a place that brought joy to so many. Now, it's just another spot that's lost its way. What a shame.

Maggie D.

Yelp
I dream about the chicken sandwich. The bread. The burrata. Always wonderful. Wish the seating was better.

Dena G.

Yelp
Fiore Market Cafe is a pretty little garden restaurant in Pasadena. I've been coming here for years. Their sandwiches are absolutely delicious. Top sandwich recommendations: Roasted chicken with walnut pesto and burrata on homemade bread -- delectable Piccolo soppressata on fresh baguette -- usually tied with a pretty pink ribbon. Sorry I can't recommend anything else, but these are my two go-to's. I have never branched out. The only thing that takes this place down from five stars is the fact that their garden patio furniture is extremely rickety and uncomfortable. They should consider upgrading and getting some better outdoor furniture. The food, however, is a five all the way.

M Y.

Yelp
This was a five star spot before they changed the bread. Baffling why they would; it was specific and spectacular, pillowy bread from perfect boules, with a textured and satisfying crust, and honestly the single biggest draw that set this place's sandwiches apart. The new bread is allegedly the same recipe, but shaped, finished, and cut differently (slices are now thinner). Every one of those factors affects how the bread turns out -- and the new bread is average. Not bad, just not special. The crumb is different. The rise is different. The crust is dry and papery. No reason to come back or pay the higher and higher prices for the ghost of a formerly beloved sandwich. Especially sad because at first it seemed the new owners were gonna respect what made this menu great to begin with. But they are insisting the bread hasn't changed, so either they are trying to pull one over on us, or truly can't tell the difference -- either way not a mark of a restaurant or chef you can trust. The legacy of this place is gone now. End of an era.

L. G.

Yelp
Fiore Market Cafe is a cute corner lunch spot with good selection of sandwiches, Soup, Salads, Roasted Chicken, Roast Beef, Short Ribs, and Pork Belly. I ordered two sandwiches and an Asian Chicken Salad. All three were tasty and filling though a little pricey at $56.18. Parking is limited to street and staff are friendly with several outside tables. I would give five stars if their prices were a little more reasonable.

Jonathan WC M.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best buttermilk dill salad dressing I have ever had. I will dream about it. The salad it came with was excellent as well. Fresh ingredients, well prepared. The setting is strictly outdoors and the smart play is order ahead and pick up. Otherwise it can be slow. I really love this little oasis in South Pasadena.

Marcus L.

Yelp
I've had Fiore bookmarked for ages but I kept missing the narrow window that they are open. I'm happy that I finally got to try this cafe and I'm looking forward to returning. FOOD Short Rib Sandwich - didn't seem that impressive visually. Turned out to be really tasty and tender. Great stuff. SERVICE Ordered online. My sandwich was brought out shortly. Brief but friendly experience. PARKING Street parking (free)

Sage L.

Yelp
Very good ambiance and food! I always recommend this place to others. The food is unmatched and one of the best places in the area!!!

Anna H.

Yelp
Wasn't feeling like getting hot and greasy food on a hot day, and in the area - decided to stop by this cute garden cafe. The seats outside are nice, handful in the shade. I had the orange olive loaf, the Asian chicken salad, and an iced tea. Service was friendly and they bring food out to you after you sit down. I paid around 25.00 for everything, and the salad was served with fresh bread. Overall, it was a cute place and it tasted fresher than Panera!!

Rachel C.

Yelp
A hidden gem I never knew about, I discovered this place because a friend recommended it. I'm so glad I found it, what a great place! It's literally at the corner of Fremont and El Centro, and if you don't look carefully, you couldn't tell it was a Cafe at all. Based on the constant stream of people coming through though, it was clear this was a well-loved establishment and I've been living under a rock, lol! I think since Covid, they now do not take orders in person, and you have to order completely online, no money is exchanged at all. There are little tables and chairs on one side, and some longer tables with benches on the other, with more shade. After you order online, they bring out your order bagged and placed on some shelves at their door. They also bring things out very quickly! We did meet at least one couple that didn't know about the ordering system, so at least not everyone was a regular here! I ordered the pork belly sandwich, which was super tasty...I was actually really surprised that the fig jam was so tasty with the pork! The pork belly was also not fatty, and still very moist! My friend ordered the roasted chicken sandwich, which is also a super popular item and looked delicious! Great spot for a quick lunch bite, and a pleasant community and space for that! Looking forward to bringing my husband here to check it out!

Dave H.

Yelp
One of the best places for a gourmet sandwich in LA located in south Pasadena's playhouse district. Counter service with patio seating of some great salads and sandwiches all on fresh baked bread with quality ingredients. The prosciutto and soprissa sandwiches are excellent! Also a side lawn to picnic on but bring a blanket! Also some fresh baked goodies too!

Clare S.

Yelp
I just read the statement that was put out by the new owner, Linda. My first reaction..... wow! My sister Anne, and her husband Bill started Fiore together. They both brought such special gifts to Fiore. Their greatest gift, bringing people together, while eating absolutely delicious food. My nephew James, cooking in the kitchen.....it was so fun to pop in and see what was going on! My daughter Katie worked there for awhile, every once in awhile I would help out. When my sister died, it was so beautiful to see the love and support from customers, who became family. This is a love letter to all the beautiful people who came into Fiore. Thank you for being you. I know Bill and my sister appreciated, love you all. Change may be in the wind..... but what Fiore was will always live on, through all of you. Thank you Anne and Bill, for making us all feel safer, loved, and welcome. Merry Christmas everyone. -Clare

Yelp
Super cute little outdoor cafe in South Pas. They have a few larger tables and some smaller tables out front on the grass for different sized parties. But it's more of a pickup place or spot to have a leisurely bite with a couple of friends or small family. You order via a QR code that takes you to an online ordering system so it's pretty much completely no-contact. It took probably 20 minutes to get our food, which is a little long for a salad and sandwich place. But honestly, I think it was worth it. Like everyone else has said, the bread is amazing. I had the pesto chicken sandwich, which came with a side salad. It was super tasty. Kinda rich but not in a gross way. They also bring you out some water. And if you're lucky, you might get some free bread to take home!

Shiana C.

Yelp
Omg this place was delicious. No seating inside but there's a cute outdoor set up. The bread is sooo soft and fresh! Menu is simple with enough options. The chicken curried salad sandwich was absolutely yum! Perfect seasoning and the curry was not as strong I'd like it to be but it was delicious. Asian salad was also divine. The chicken was warm which I loved since I don't like cold meats. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu! You do have to ask for napkins since I didn't get any. There are 2 bathrooms to the side and they have a water jug outside for customers to fill their cup. Too bad the hours are very limited. 11-3pm is not much time especially since I work out in mid-wilshire area. This place was awesome!

Joy G.

Yelp
The bread. THE BREAD. The bread here was perhaps the best bread I've had in a while. I seriously considered coming back before our return flight and stocking up on a few more loaves. But getting ahead of myself here. We arrived from the airport, absolutely starving, and, though all the sandwich options looked good, I went with the roasted chicken salad (minus the bleu cheese). The salad was all right, exactly what I needed after six hours on a plane, and the amount of chicken included could have fed me for two meals. That said, the container was 80% leaves. I think I got half of a hard-boiled egg and two small pieces of bacon? The best part was the creamy dill dressing, which I ended up slathering all over my bread like a cavewoman. My husband's veggie chopped salad was the far better option. The bread they gave with the salads was absolutely phenomenal. Super pillowy, crackly give on the crust. I ended up eating mine during lunch and then gnawing hunks off the other slab in the car ride from the cafe to our hotel, crumbs spraying everywhere, in blissed-out carb heaven. Parking out in front. Food came out promptly. The only downside: no restroom (at least that I could find). Which made eating lunch with a bursting bladder not the funnest experience.

alicia f.

Yelp
Ordered the Short Rib and Pork Belly sandwich . Looked and smelled good but the short belly was poorly seasoned and bland. The fig jam on the Pork belly sandwich seemed to help with the flavor. Considering its extremely limited hours and menu, it's not a place I'd visit again.

Tina N.

Yelp
Yummy salads and fresh tasty salads. Order online and it's faster. Been going here for several years and food very consistent

Beret M.

Yelp
How many years have I driven right past this gem unnoticed?! Looking for a sandwich and found an amazing salad! There aren't many tables but you can take it to go. Worth a stop! Fresh and charming!

Melanie M.

Yelp
Lovely little cafe with outdoor seating. Food is clearly made to order so it takes a little longer. Delicious sandwiches and salads.

Lucia L.

Yelp
Their home made bread for all their sandwiches is truly unmatched! I love how fresh everything is here - however I do feel the flavors are a bit mild sometimes but I don't mind. I've had the roasted chicken and the short rib which were both good. I've also ordered catering - they forgot a couple of side orders but I was able to call and get a refund. A staple sandwich spot for me!

Roxana Q.

Yelp
I was about to place an order online for pick up until I saw: A $1 fee being added to my order for god knows what. A tip scale of 15-25% with seemingly no way to choose none. Tip culture is out of control. It's. A. Sandwich. You are not serving me & it is not my job to support your wages. A tip is meant to reward good service. All you do is place my order on a book shelf for me to pick up. It also irks me to no end when restaurants ask you to tip in advance. Nothing has happened yet! Why would I tip you in advance? What if you completely mess up my order and I'm unhappy? Needless to say, I ended up elsewhere. My $16 sandwich turned into almost $22 by the time all that was said and done so I'm good. Not to mention the portions have shrunk over time.

Patricia D.

Yelp
My friend and I were starving after our workout, so we decided to have brunch. I was convinced when he mentioned the neighborhood mom-and-pop cafe that serves freshly baked bread. The customers appeared to be regulars who were supporting a neighborhood business, and the staff was very friendly. nice energy. He got the daily special steak sandwich that came with a slaw and side of bread, while I ordered the Asian chicken salad, beef and bean chili that comes with bread. The Asian chicken salad was good, and it included more chicken than I've ever seen in a salad. I appreciated how much protein was used. His steak sandwich looked to be delicious! I tried the slaw, and it had a nice flavor with a dash of ginger for some extra spice and richness. Even though the chili was made with just ground beef and one kind of bean, it was nevertheless very flavorful and not too heavy. The coffee was the one drawback; it was really inexpensive, came in a tiny cup, but it also tasted similar to the coffee you can make at home. The location is really adorable, connected to a church, and reflects a little town charm. They also have a lot of vegetation, so it was lovely to browse at the diverse plants and herbs while we waited for our food. Overall wonderful experience, would definitely return!

Marta O.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place! But unfortunately the quality went a bit down... I just got my favorite roast beef sandwich and the proportion of the bread to fillings was disappointing... and on top of it the meat seemed old, cheewy and veiny... which was a bit scary taken it is cooked medium. It broke my heart a little... and my pocket! With tip was almost 20$! Hope they will get back to the high standard they had before. But now I'm not sure I want to go back again...

Carolyn F.

Yelp
The best pork belly sandwich I have ever tasted: the meat, the fig jam, the arugula and the bread. Quick service to order and delivery to our table. Pleasant outdoor seating under an umbrella. A perfect place to meet friends for lunch.

Lily M.

Yelp
This place is really good, but the wait for our food was painful. When we got there wasn't that many people waiting but probably online or phone orders is why it took so long. It's worth the wait tho I ordered the short rib sandwich which was delicious! The bread was so airy and soft! The filling was generous and flavorful! The salad it came with was fresh! I would come here again the next time I'm craving a sandwich

Ralph M.

Yelp
My wife has been wanting to dine at this restaurant for some time now. Today we finally made the effort to stop by for a late lunch. What a surprise it was to learn that they were out of all their menu items except for one chicken sandwich and a chicken salad. We purchased both and they were delicious. It's nice knowing that they only prepare a certain amount of food and when they run out; they run out! We won't make that mistake next time. And next time, we both want to try other items from their menu. The restaurant has a nice outdoor shaded seating area and the place is very casual. We will be back soon but we won't wait until all of South Pasadena has dined there before we arrive.

Yelp
Not a loser on the menu. Everything is fresh, high-quality, and oh the bread. I bring friends there for lunch because it is so pleasant on the patio. For anyone easing into eating veggie, try the Tempe sandwich.

Yelp
Roasted chicken sandwich- Good amount of shredded chicken, burrata cheese and a walnut pesto. The sandwich itself was pretty big but it wasn't delicious - it was just okay. For the price, I was expecting something a little better. My total was around $27 for a sandwich (which came with a small side salad), lemonade and chips. The patio is really cute and we got there right after the lunch rush, so it got really quiet. Also, the people are super friendly and very personable! (Hence the 4 stars)
