The Best Chicken Wings in Portland and Beyond | Eater Portland

"With three locations and a fervent following, the ultra-popular, wing-centric, brewpub-vibed Fire on the Mountain is a mandatory inclusion on a list like this. There are roughly a dozen different sauces to choose from which range in spice level, like a zesty lime-cilantro, smoky-sweet Jamaican jerk, and the peppery-sweet raspberry habanero. Vegan wings are also an option here, for non meat-eaters who want to try their hand (and tastebuds) at the masochistic levels of spice in El Jefe." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Google
Nice place to go for wings and craft beers. We were told it would take 30min to get our wings but actually it only took about 15min which wasn’t bad. You have the option to get bone in or boneless. Depending on the number of wings you get you can get up to 6 different sauces which is nice. We tried 4 (BBQ, Mild Buffalo, Med Buffalo & sauce of the month (Ethiopian)) and all were good. Nothing too spicy. All were fresh and still had a nice crunch even after tossing in sauce. Staff very friendly and we appreciated that we could try the beers before buying…nice touch to the good customer service. The only reason for 4 stars is that the wings were not “to die for” but solid good wings with no complaints.

Google
I flew in from Los Angeles, and my friends took me here to enjoy some chicken wings. They were absolutely amazing! I truly appreciated the service, the atmosphere, and the location. It’s definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. You should definitely try their sweet potatoes; they’re incredibly delicious. The experience was so enjoyable that I can’t wait to return and savor more of their fantastic offerings. The combination of flavors and the welcoming environment made it a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.

Google
These have probably been the best wings I have eaten in a really long time. Not greasy but the right crunch and sauce on the wings. Tater tots are super yummy and in the picture I had already eaten half of them so you still do get more than what is in the picture. I had to go twice in a week because I couldn’t get enough. If you’re in the area, please stop by! Outdoor seating is the best especially right now!

Came to Fire on the Mountain on Burnside with my 3 nieces and nephew and we had a great time. I’ve been a fan of this spot for a while and it definitely didn’t disappoint. We ordered the buffalo hot and buffalo medium wings and they tasted delicious with the perfect balance of heat and flavor. The kids loved the fries and dipping sauces too. The vibe was fun and laid back and the service was friendly. Always a solid choice when I’m in town.

Google
Have been here twice. I'm really particular about buffalo wings. I always get 6-12 wings with buffalo sauce everywhere I go because it's just the best. I judge places based on their wings. I am so pleased with these wings. They don't skimp on sauce, they're crispy, fresh, and just delicious. Decent price as well. Bonus is that my mom and friend also liked them too! Love love the wings. Will absoutely come back. :) Tried the fries too. Also good and they have malt vinegar!! Bless. Love the outdoor seating as well.

Google
The best wing spot I’ve eaten in Portland area. The raspberry habanero was my personal favorite, but most of the flavors here are amazing. My cousins all enjoyed it as well. Service was a bit slow but it’s so busy here it’s expected but worth the wait. Get the fried Oreo too, super delicious!

Golden Days

Google
The spicy peanut wings didn't seem spicy at first, but the more I ate, the spicier they were. Either way, they were delicious. We also got a buffalo wrap and shared a frisbee full of fries. Everything was delicious and the vibes were great as well. I accidentally left my backpack there, but was able to pick it up the next day since the staff were nice enough to save it for me. Thanks to whoever found my bag and turned it in.

Lets Go

Google
Fantastic atmosphere. Busy and efficient staff. Ordered 18 wing with different sauces. Children meal big enough for an adult not looking to binge. We sat outside and enjoyed the sun. Wanted to have the deep fried Oreo’s but forgot to order. Have to come back to try that.

Yelp
Love FOTM! My friends have been coming here for over a year or two now and it's always been a hit. The vibes inside the restaurant are great at all of their locations, and the staff have always been friendly. You order your food and then you're given a number which you take and go sit down at any table. As for the food, the fries are solid. No complaints for the fries (they're actually quite good in my opinion). This time around, we got the Buffalo Hot sauce on the wing with Ranch dip and 1 El Jefe dip. The El Jefe sauce was so tasty but also very spicy. We didn't get the fried oreos this time, but I would recommend those -- they're delicious. Definitely recommend that you check out Fire On the Mountain!

Yelp
The wings are small, so consider ordering extra, but they're delicious. Order them well done. Their fries are really good, tasting just like Wing Stop's too! The restaurant is clean, and the staff is super friendly. Don't miss out on their freshly squeezed and tasty lemonade! Overall, this is a great spot for a quick bite, with yummy food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
Well I haven't posted a negative review in a long time, with that said I spent $23 for 9 dried out micro wings and a few burnt onion rings for my dinner tonight. I can't believe that they would serve 2.5" wings! They were so dry that I could hardly swallow the micro bit of chicken off the bone. I've eaten here before, but never have experienced this establishment deliver such sub par food before. With that said, I typically end with Bon Appetite! But not today.... Ronn just Ronn The hole in the wall food guy... Opps, I forgot to say At least the staff were friendly

Yelp
Very disappointed with the wings here. For someplace that features wings I expected more. Wings are very small. Very little meat

Yelp
Vegan wings are amazing and the sauces are fire. The fries are amazing and it's a staple spot in my non-vegan husbands's and my (vegan) line-up.

Yelp
Fire on the Mountain is the go-to spot for mouthwatering wings and flavor-packed sauces. With a variety of options to satisfy any taste preference, it's a no-brainer for wing lovers. The wings were pretty small tbh but The friendly atmosphere and top-notch service make it a favorite hangout for locals and visitors alike. If you're craving delicious wings and a good time, look no further than Fire on the Mountain.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely insanely delicious. Best vegan chicken wings I've ever had. On a stick and pull apart like real chicken. Jamaican jerk sauce was so perfectly spicy earthy and sweet. Best onion rings I've ever had as well. Also got the raspberry habanero wings which were fantastic as well. Casual atmosphere, great place to watch a game. Staff was kind and patient while we decided!

Yelp
I came here with my daughter for some late night eats. I'm not the biggest fan of wing places even though I love wings, the irony, I know! She ordered, the lady at the counter was fast, efficient and friendly! The place was practically packed with a couple available tables. Even though it was late at night and the turnover was high, I saw tables being cleaned, people moving around fast. I liked it! Music was loud but a fun place to have wings overall. I tried a bite of my kids veggie nuggets, hot and tasty! The medium Buffalo sauce was delicious and we should have taken it home. I think it was a successful wing stop.

Yelp
So I've been coming here for many years now. It seems to be a spot I frequent anytime I'm up in Portland. I'm a sucker for wings. The only bad thing I would say is there wings have gotten smaller. Lots smaller. Other than that it's great. The sauces are all so tasty. They have something for everyone. I'm fact I always buy a jar or two to take home. And I put that s*** on everything lol. I think I may have a slight problem. They have three locations and we always go to the burnside one. It's convenient for us. The atmosphere is great. Grab a beer and some food enjoy a game or just people watch. If you haven't been than you should. I know I'll be back again and again.

Yelp
On a visit to Portland to see my daughter, we stopped in for lunch because she claimed this spot had the best chicken wings in the city. I don't have any comparison points since I am not from Portland and have only visited a couple of times, but have to say these were some damn fine wings and that's coming from someone who has had wings at probably 100 different places across the country. Loved this place when I walked in and saw one wall festooned with a painted mural of music legends like Willie Nelson, Carlos Santana, and best of all Jerry Garcia. And when I saw a Grateful Dead neon lightning bolt in the window, they had me hooked even before I put a wing into my mouth. Daughter had the Emma sandwich....a huge offering with chicken tenderloins in medium hot sauce, blue cheese, bacon and garlic aioli. She said it was as good as it looked, accompanied by perfectly cooked tater tots--crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the inside. I opted for the lunch special that consisted of six wings, fries and a beverage. I opted for the medium buffalo--I tend to stay at this level to get some heat but not so much that it overwhelms the palate and the chicken--blue cheese on the side. I also order fries at restaurants as extra crispy since there's nothing worse than a soggy, undercooked fry. That was my only mistake. The fries came out like they had been incinerated in a nuclear reactor......not burnt mind you, but just this side of being burnt.....like large, thick, almost burnt potato sticks. Not quite what I usually get with extra crispy orders--usually crunch outside, soft inside. Oh well...... But those wings! Crispy, crunchy with soft juicy meat inside, sitting in a small pond of flavorful, thick wing sauce--hot, but not too hot. Mostly drummies, but a couple of flats that were cooked perfectly so I could tear them off almost whole by stripping them through a small passageway in my teeth. And bonus.....I got a 7th wing! So if you go, DON'T order extra crispy fries. Again I'm not sure these are the best wings in Portland given my lack of Portland wing experiences--but as a wingophile, I give them a hardy thumbs up.

Yelp
Some of the best wings I have had are from Fire on the Mountain. The combination of unique sauces provides a different experience each time you go. My favorites are the Bourbon Chipotle and Raspberry Habanero. They have a fantastic staff at this location. The environment is very casual and inviting to everyone.

Yelp
This review was going to be a 3 star but those sauces were finger lickin good! We ordered chips and queso, fried pickles, side of fries 36 wings and fried Oreos. Starting with the chips and queso... quite possibly the best queso I've ever had. Smooth, ultra creamy and chunky with peppers. Fried pickles were good but the sauce that came with it was fire emoji. I was using it to dunk my fries in. So damn good! The fries were also excellent. Homemade, good mix of crunchy and soggy which is my favorite. Now let's talk about the wings and why this review wasn't a 5 star. The wings were meh. Sauces were good but the wings were TINY! Lacked a whole lot of meat and as a result, they were of course very dry. Also, how you gonna serve me wings with celery but not carrots!? Wing-travesty! Interesting sauce options though that made the dry meat pretty tasty. The perfect end to the meal were those fried Oreos. Basically donuts with an Oreo center. So light and airy while having this tasty cookie center. Loved it! Would I come back here again? Eh probably not. But it was a decent enough meal!

Yelp
Wings were kinda small BUT EVERYTHING WAS FIRE, service was great and the atmosphere was so welcoming and fun.

Yelp
Ok, so I'm torn. After reading several reviews about this place I went in cautiously optimistic; which means I wanted to like it, but had read some discouraging reviews. First off, it's got a cool vibe. The artwork, design and layout is appealing. The atmosphere is very upbeat and lively. Right off the bat, I loved it. Because it's a wing joint, it takes a few minutes to order. All the sauces, combinations and wing choices make it a real experience to order. We ordered a plethora of wings and roughly 10 sauces, as well as a basket of fry's and drinks. The total came to $56. Their choice in sauces ranged from a weekly special, a buffalo (mild, medium and hot), a Thai peanut sauce, a bourbon sauce, barbecue sauce, and their special El Jefe super hot wing sauce, amongst others. Once seated, we waited, and waited....and waited. Granted, it was lunch time and we're patient, but it seemed excessively long. We eventually got our frys, ate them and continued to wait. Albeit, the frys were a surprising highlight. Forty minutes later our food arrived. Again, it was a busy lunch hour with not many tables available, but again, the biggest concern for reviewers online is the wait time. Our patience meter was tested. So after years of taste testing wings (unprofessionally), there are many styles and ways they are delivered. Theres are deep fried and we chose to have our dipping sauce on the side. I'd say these wings were cooked to a very 'done' state. Not bad cause I don't like the slimy skin and soft undercooked wings, it was just cooked thoroughly, to say the least. It's a thing. Now to the sauces, and to be honest, I loved most of them. Of course I'm a picky sauce person so I had my favorites. But the variety and unique flavors created a variety of options. Well done. Overall the wait time sucked, the wings were solid, and the sauces continue to surprise me. Again the fry's were delicious. They also have a bar, which was a welcome surprise. Overall I'd go back. I loved my experience, but the wait time kinda put a cloud on my experience.

Yelp
Terrible service. Terrible food. Terrible ambiance. Not sure about all the reviews but highly recommend avoiding. Go get pizza instead.

Yelp
Now listen to my story. I am no mega wings-eater, but such is life. In this sense, I can represent the world population at large. Furthermore, I am a vegetarian. Hence, I can say that I will NEVER go back to Fire on the Mountain (until next time). The prices were high for a measly amount of wings (but the wings themselves tasted pretty good). I was left hungry, and had to go home to go eat a grilled cheese sandwich. Perhaps this is because their target demographic is people who drink with the wings: alas, I am not of the age to consume alcohol yet. The ambiance was not the worst, not the best. Bright lighting by which to see the sauces.

Yelp
YUM Ordered: -Jerk Chicken Sandwich with Tater Tots -Fried Pickles -Medium Hot Buffalo Wings Pro: -THE WINGS!!! The wings are juicy and the skin is roasted so that it has a good crunch. There are multiple sauce coatings you can choose from... We chose the medium hot sauce and it was so good!! We want to try the peanut sauce next time. -Fried pickles are damn good! It has a kick and we loved it. They come in orders of 5, so be prepared to eat a lot of pickles! Watch out the pickles stay hot for a while -Tater tots were fluffy and has a good crunch to them Con: -Jerk chicken sandwich was dry

Yelp
I went here for a solo date on a Tuesday night. The ambience was quite welcoming and chirpy. I could see a lot of people there by themselves working on their laptops, reading on their kindle or just watching the US open on TV. I sat at the bar and the ordered wings and beer separately. I went for an IPA on tap and the guy sitting next to me recommended to go for the all day lunch special for the same price.. which would also get me "free" fries. I got their signature Buffalo wings and I went for the hottest option. The wings were definitely not the best I have ever eaten. The wings hardly had any meat on them.. they were so small. Besides the Buffalo sauce while tasty on its own, wasn't hot at all. Overall, I don't think I'd get wings from here again. The fries were delicious though. I wish the size of their wings was bigger for that price or conversely the price for the wings was lower. Overall it was a decent experience. I'd definitely go to this place again but would try something else on the menu.

Yelp
This was recommended to us by my brother in law who used to visit the joint during his college days. He raves about it so we had to give it a shot. Definitely the best wings I've ever had at a restaurant! We got mild buffalo, Jamaican jerk & sweet bbq. All of them were great flavors & not overwhelming. Don't pass on trying the fried desserts! Fried Twinkie & fried snickers bars were delicious Fast service & friendly staff! It was busy in the restaurant with people dining in & to go orders. Staff kept up with the demand well. It's a little restaurant with minimal indoor & outdoor seating. It has a sports bar vibe to it & we enjoyed it.

Yelp
I went out and tried FOTM for the first time and I gotta say, it's one of the best places to get wings in town, especially for their lunch special. I believe I paid 15-16 dollars for the lunch special which comes with 6 or 9 wings, fries, and a drink. The flavors I got to try were spicy peanut, bourbon chipotle, and a special they had for the week (I don't remember the name, but it was a dry rub). The flavors were very good and fragrant, but not overpowering. The fries were probably one of the best that I've ever had. It tastes very similar to Wingstop fries which are sweet, salty and savory, but they are super crispy! The staff was very nice and patient as it was my first time. I asked for recommendations and they kindly walked me through their favorites. Overall, the restaurant and seating area is spacious along with great service and great food. I have no complaints.

Sharon N.

Yelp
Great place to relax and enjoy the food and your company. Very filling. Selection of yum sauces. Burgers to chicken wings. I had a lettuce wrap. Accommodating. Fresh and great lunch!!!
google avatar

Elizabeth O.

Yelp
Huge fan of FOTM, I always order the same flavors(buffalo medium and Jamaican Jerk), and it is always consistently good. The fries come out hot and crispy, no complaints at all. The service is fast even when busy and indoor and outdoor is available at all of their locations. Side note: Expect the size of the wings might be on the smaller side but it is delicious.
google avatar

Don W.

Yelp
Love the wings. Great selection of sauces to try. Service was excellent and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Beer selection was great. Perfect place to visit on the eastside.

Yelp
"FRYER ON THE MOUNTAIN" If you're looking for healthier fare, beware. Tried to keep the kids happy and order myself a salad. The friendly staff was able to order me a "buffalo salad" without fried tenders... but the chef decided to douse the salad in tender sauce anyways, in addition to the sauce I'd asked for on the side. My wings also doused in sauce. Now, it's a tasty space, but our meals were doused in it. Good, greasy fare. Grilled chicken is also offered, but was t available tonight.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
I just ordered two sets of vegan wings with vegan sauce for pick up, and both sets were real chicken not vegan, along with vegan sauce. Ridiculous. We live an hour away and I didn't check prior to getting back in the car so at this point, I paid $25 something bucks, with an additional 20% tip, to find we can't eat any of it. Cheers check your orders!
google avatar

Kyle C.

Yelp
This wing joint definitely sufficed my wing cravings. I opted for the spicy peanut and raspberry habanero sauces. Although the wings are rather small, 9 wings + fries was enough for one. The spicy peanut sauce is a flavor that I will come back to. The raspberry habanero is not my typical flavor that I am attracted to, however I felt the urge to try something new. The sauce seemed incredibly spicy just by smell, however once you get to eating the wing, it is not all that bad. This place is a buss your own table joint. The service was friendly and the food came out within 10-12 minutes. I'll be back to try more sauces!
google avatar

Charlie T.

Yelp
This place is still a solid place to come get some great wings with a variety of sauces. I Italy get mine in the side so I can ship the chicken in it along with my tots. I still get the queso on the side as you can't go wrong with it.
google avatar

Kirsten C.

Yelp
Best wings, beer and French fries around. My husband, son, and I enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken wings, tenders, and fries with beverages. Service was great and quick. Always loved the atmosphere.
google avatar

Sandra R.

Yelp
SO SO GOOD! My bf asked me what I wanted as my birthday dinner and I requested wings. After a through search, he stated this place was rated as the best wing place in town and it did not disappoint! He ordered regular bbq and I had the lemon flavored ones and boyyy were we not prepared for the heat! But it's that type of meal that is hot, yet you can't stop eating because of how good it is! 10/10 recommend!
google avatar

Christopher R.

Yelp
Here are great people, beer vibe and of course fried chicken! We love it and we'll be back.

Yelp
Fire on the mountain definitely lives up to the hype! I've been trying to eat here for a year, and every time I've gone, the line is super long! Well, i was finally willing to wait in line, and it's worth it! The food is great, the sauce is tasty, and the employees are awesome! We sat outside because we brought our dog and the servers all said hi to her if they passed or brought her treats. They have covered outdoor seating thank goodness because it started pouring rain when we got our food but we stayed nice and dry. I also recommend the lemonade as it was delicious!

Yelp
This is more of a warning to others and management about an employee who maybe really should not be working there. Burnside location. On Saturday afternoon, 3/16, I had lunch with a friend. 9 delicious hot wings and an IPA for me, and 12 of the peanut (also delicious) and a beer for my friend. We each paid and sat down outside in the lovely weather. When we were finished, we went inside to use the bathroom and get another beer. Since there was a line for the bathroom, I decided to sit at the bar and grab my second beer. Tall, brown-hair, presumably male (did not get a name or gender) bartender, in their 30s?? (I'm not good at ages) got my beer and handed me the little ipad thingy to settle up, but I told them I have wing sauce on my hands so I didn't want to touch the ipad or my wallet until I washed them. They told me rudely to go to the bathroom and I said I was here because of the line, which they had just looked at. I also told them I planned on keeping my tab open, but they did not like that and told me I was done, threw some wet naps in front of me and stormed away. When my friend came back from the bathroom, the bartender ignored him for a while and then told him he was done too. We flagged down another bartender, presumably female (again, don't want to misgender), and told them what happened. I said I had no interest in staying around after what happened, but it was even more unreasonable to cut my friend off, and they heard reason and served my friend. Another friend joined us shortly after, but I left. First bartender had ruined a perfectly nice afternoon. It was my third time ever being here. Never had one issue! Food is great, ambiance is great, beer is great, and staff is 99% great. Not this person. If I go back, I hope not to see them, or if nothing else, they notice me and apologize (without what you can think of typical retribution behavior would look like). I hope management reads this and act accordingly. I'll be back, but it won't be for a while and I plan on having my friends read this review as well, so they know. For now, this rating went from 5 to 2 because of him.

Yelp
One of the better places in Portland to get wings. We got the medium wings and lime cilantro. Could have went hotter on the wings but the flavors were still good. The lime cilantro wings were by far the best ones on the menu. We ate all of those ones first. We also got tots and fries and those we delicious as well. Only taking a star off because the food took awhile to come. It was not particularly busy the day we went.

Juliana W.

Yelp
TBF I'm an OG of FOTM. Weekly dinner while I was pregnant at the first location. Never fails and doing fairly well maintaining while growing. Don't miss: Fried pickles (get extra sauce) and I always have a bottle of "soon to be famous spicy peanut" at my house. I love the Jamaican Jerk salad with grilled chicken!! And of course all the wings.

Ashlie W.

Yelp
I love their tenders in Buffalo and Jamaican jerk! Their deep fried Oreos are bomb too. We also love the fries. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because sometimes it's a bit inconsistent. No matter what though we'll keep coming back.

Yelp
Fire on the mountain..run boy run..else long wait for great wings..will spoil your fun...sorry about shitty poem...i am woozy in head with spicy wings binge i just had. I have not been to other locations. But been here again and again and again. Arguably the best damn wings atleast in norhwest. The wings are cooked crisp yet the bones inside dnt have burns or pieces of wings don't have burned tips. Also the sauce they dip in are just divine, salty and spicy and sweet. I just dont know how to compliment this place...just visit it will ya? Sauces I often choose are bourbon chipotle (yesss), buffalo medium and lime cilantro. The ones I hated (personally) spicy peanut. Also dont be afraid to get handsy with these wings...they are worth it.

Yelp
We came here to meet with some friends and watch football on a Sunday. It was surprisingly easy to get a table like 30 mins before a game. Ordered wings, fries, fried Oreos, beer, wine, and some iced tea. Everyone enjoyed what they had. They have a lot of options and they were nice enough to put the 49ers game on a tv.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent wings. Easy to order. Great service. Great food Outdoor or indoor seating available during summer hours

Lexii R.

Yelp
Took my kids there one night and the place was packed inside with a good amount of seating outside available, We ended up waiting for our food for about an hour. We seen several families served before us. They staff was kind but not really apologetic about the wait for our food. Our wings were not very good and basically dry it appeared as if they had sat under the lamp too long. I i'd like to try it again before I make a final decision on if I don't like it
google avatar

Ryan J.

Yelp
This place doesn't live up to the hype. The fried pickles were ok. The tots were ok. The wings are small, chewy and not crispy. The sweet bbq sauce is passable, but the raspberry habanero sauce has no raspberry flavor. The people working there have a thing or two to learn about being kind to the customers actually ordering the food. Entitled and unpleasant people. This place has no clue about being a wing place. The place is so loud and uncomfortable to actually have a conversation with the people at your table. Tonight was our first time and it was our last time. Save your money and time. Go to a Schmizza instead. Thumbs

Yelp
This review is for a to-go order. Phone order - the place itself is quite loud, so it was a bit hard to understand on the phone without sounding like an idiot to ask them to repeat again. The server who took my order was very patient and was able to get my order in correctly. The dialing itself took about 3 tries before I was able to get through. Overall, hope it was easier to get through. Ordered 9 wings, fries, and a kids menu corn dog. The size of the wings were not as I thought they were going to be, but the flavors were definitely packed on. The fries could've used another 2 minutes, but it could be because it was a to-go order that it got a little bit soggy. The kids corn dog was nothing spectacular - the batter could use some improvements. Overall, a solid place for some late night food.

Yelp
Fire on the mountain Is great! I have been here many times & this time I brought my son for his 13th bday as wings are his favorite thing to eat, he had 0 complaints and wants to come back soon! We each got different sauces so we could share and all were good, the appetizers have great options like the deep fried pickle spears and the onion rings are both crispy and great to dip in ranch! Dessert my son and his friend tried the deep fried Twinkie and enjoyed them very much. We will be back soon!

Yelp
This place never disappoints :) Tried the Bourbon Chipotle for the first time and enjoyed it! Not so much a chipotle taste so much as a nice smoky flavor. Fries are always killer, staff is always helpful, and a nice spot to enjoy with a group!

Yelp
Times are tough but for the love of god serve normal sized celery. The only thing cheaper than celery is Fire on the Mountain. Also the wings are the size of a baby bird wing. But they are good. Needs more celery.

Yelp
I went to college in the land of hot wings and Fire On The Mountain does a good job at replicating the look and feel of the original bars and dives that featured the deep fried heaven in a basket. With a hippie aesthetic, they even capture some of the spirit of Upstate NY, you know Woodstock. The restaurant looks like it's straight from Albany, New York. But how are the wings? Do they have the soul of the best hot wings in New York State? I think they do. The buffalo sauce is a good take on the original. The Jamaican Jerk is a pleasant diversion. The lady across from me likes the Raspberry Habanero sauce. Plenty of fried sides to choose from. I like the tots. They've even got tendies for the incels, or if that's just you're preference. The fried oasis has decently friendly staff, good music, and fun atmosphere. Good selection of beer, what's not to like? It brings me back to college, that's for sure.

Yelp
This is my best friend's favorite restaurant. I've tried it twice. The first time I was disappointed because the wing meat is too lean. The chickens are probably like good quality but tbh I'm use to the fatty GMO wings from pizza shops. The restaurant itself is unremarkable. The prices high the hype much too high.but it's my best friend's favorite restaurant so ‍ The second time was last Sunday. The girls™ and I ordered to go. I got a vegan buffalo wrap and vegan wings. They both tasted amazing. Unfortunately... it wrecked my digestive system. I was backed up for three days. Even with hydrating, calm, and fiber I was cramping and felt awful. It's Friday and I am starting to have regular movements again but it was a bloated and rough week. If I was to attach a photo it would have been of my comically large and bloated stomach the morning after eating that meal. I was physically impacted but now I am emotionally exhausted. When will it end ! I am changed from this experience. I don't really write many reviews but I said next time I'm on the can fighting for life I will pass time by warning the other townsfolk. I would eat it again 5/5 buffalo wrap was tastyyyyyy !!!!!!!

Yelp
The vegan drumsticks are my favorite! So good. I am sad that they don't qualify for the lunch or kids menu tho. Jamaican jerk is the elite sauce.

Yelp
For having a line out of the window I expected much better. Mid at best, I ordered the peanut,Cilantro lime and the dry rub of the month spent almost 50$ and they're all so subpar. If you're in Portland looking for good wings go to UTOPIA bar and lounge off of 82nd. Hole in the wall place best chicken wings I've ever had in my life you won't regret it. But you'll regret spending money at this mid place with too many people who have never had good chicken before. Shame

Yelp
Not much to say easily STILL the best wings spot in Portland. Great beer on tap and it's great to test your spice pallet one in a while lol. Love the garage door window style seating. FOTM is always a great place.

Yelp
Met a friend at the N. Portland spot for a lunch meeting. Wings and fries was on our mind. The wings were decent but I suspect they were the typical frozen wings purchased in bulk. The sauce on both wings was very good. The spicy wings had a delayed heat and slight sweetness to them. The BBQ wings were sweet with honey under tones. The fires were fries . Nice spot for meeting. Now the service was something different. The servers seemed a bit frustrated. Perhaps it was a bad day for them. They didn't seem customer conscious. No eye contact and a little dismissive. Overall a good place. I'll definitely give them another try.
