Six South Denver Restaurants to Try This Week - Eater Denver

"Popular Buffalo wing spot Fire on the Mountain expanded to its second Denver location on South Logan Street in August. The menu, like at the Highlands original, is focused on wings—both bone-in chicken (no boneless wings here) and vegan seitan. Both types can be ordered slathered in one or more of the 12 sauce varieties, which include raspberry habanero, spicy peanut and Jamaican jerk. There is also a solid selection of munchies, salads, sandwiches, and burgers, plus fried Oreos for dessert." - Georgina Rupp

The crew working here is fantastic, everyone of them helps you as the customer without being asked. They walk by and see a drink needing filled, they do it, or they see you’ve cleaned off the delicious wing sauce from your fingers and face, they take the stake of napkins and wing bones away :-) This was my first visit, so I tried the Spicy Peanut as the server noted it was a fav - it was great! Not too spicy (I do a half and half at Santiago’s- so that’s my spice level) and they made it a true wing sauce instead of a peanut marinade (which is what I’ve seen at some other wing shops). They gave a lot of outdoor space, so go when the weather is nice - which is quite often here in Denver :-)

I used to eat here pretty often a couple of years ago, but the quality seems to have changed a bit since then. We ordered pickup recently, and I asked for my wings extra crispy, but they ended up soggy and not very warm. On the bright side, the sauce was flavorful and generously applied, which I appreciated. However, the wings were smaller than I remembered. Overall, the sauce was the highlight in both taste and portion, but perhaps dining in would offer a better experience.

Had a great time last night at fire on the mountain. I believe we had their best server ever. Shout out to Reid for going above and beyond for making this an incredible experience. Now let's get to it!!!!!!!!!!!! THE WINGS 1. 6 Sweet bbq wings were delicious, small party wings but delicious. 2. The dry rub was okay, not my style, but the table still ate them. 3. The peanut butter sauce was so good I had to buy a jar of it!!!!!!!! I've never experienced wings in that capacity. 4. If you're thirsty, grab the Lemonade spritz drink. It'll hit that spot she said I did, lol. 5. The crispy treats that I've attached to this review is the BOMB.COM, I'm a huge Captain Crunch fan, so I had to throw down. 6. Last but not least, the atmosphere hit hard, including my server, Reid. Will definitely return.

Honestly some of the best wings I’ve ever had! Even though the wings are smaller (because they use chicken w/o steroids), it’s worth it because of the flavor! I got the “El Jefe” & “Cilantro Lime” flavors for the sauces and wow they were absolutely delicious! Beware the El Jefe flavor is SPICY!!! It’s made with capsaicin so it’s really spicy even for spice lovers like myself, but I’d eat it all over again. Highly recommend to come here on Tuesday for some good wing deals (and $7 burgers!), but there’s deals every day of the week too.

When I first discovered FOM in Denver, your plain wings (no sauce) were incredible—perfectly cooked and clearly high-quality. But after my visit tonight, I couldn’t help but notice a decline. The wings no longer taste the same; they’ve gotten larger, more like generic Buffalo-style wings or even ribbing, and they’ve lost the organic quality I loved. That said, your beer selection, sauces, and service remain top-notch—truly some of the best around. It’s just disappointing to see corners cut on the wings after eight years of loyalty. I hope you’ll consider bringing back the original recipe or at least revisiting the quality. IJS. I have receipts.

Google
May be the tiniest wings I’ve ever seen. I’d bet you could have fit all 9 on a single dollar bill. Notice how they’re the same size as a tot. Must be taking out baby chickens. Same for my Brothers who also ate with me. The Caribbean jerk sauce (green) was awful but the others we had were decent.

Google
My first time here got hot wings, they were really good lots of choices, the sauce options were great. The service was not bad, but not great. The drinks were pretty decent and the prices. They weren't that bad, I like that they had a covered patio. It was cozy out there

This place was pretty awesome!! Located in the highlands neighborhood, it's a cool little spot that feels like a good neighborhood hang, with great food and a nice drink selection! The wait staff was awesome! Very attentive and helpful with all the questions we had regarding the menu! My son and I are indecisive and like to try new spots and let the server just surprise us with our food selections. They didn't disappoint today!! We started with the Buffalo FOTM fries, which are fresh cut fries covered with Buffalo sauce, blue cheese crumbles, and green onions. The fries were hot, crispy, and fresh! Next, the waitress selected the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and The Julio. The Nashville chicken sandwich was a huge hand-battered breast covered in Nashville Hot oil, house made pickle, and served on a fresh brioche bun! We got it with tater tots, and they may have been the best tots I have ever had!! So crispy on the outside. Fluffy and potato-ey on the inside and perfectly seasoned with a house seasoning that is just the right amount of saltiness and a touch of sweet!! They were incredible! The Julio is a Grlled chicken breast, bacon, fried jalapeños, housemade queso, Lettuce, Tamato, Red onion, and a garlic aioli served on a Ciabatta roll. The sandwich was flavorful and tasted fresh. The bread was toasted and still soft and east to eat, which isn't always the case with Ciabatta. It came with fresh cut fries, and they were seasoned in the same house seasoning as the tots, and they were so good!! We also tried the vegan wings with the raspberry habanero sauce since we had never had a vegan wing before, and they weren't bad. I've never had anything like it, so I have no idea if they were a good version or not. To me, they were like a fried meatloaf cube. But the sauce was very good. Spicy with a touch of sweetness. Overall, we were pretty happy with our experience and would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Yelp
Grew up right down the street and was craving it when I was visiting. Their seating situation is interesting, not a fan of the canopy attachment seating since it's on a slope. They still have a fun, hippie vibe inside which I enjoy. Got onion rings and kind of thought it was a rip off (only for 6 for $7) but loved the sauce that came with them. The bone in wings were small but cooked well. I got raspberry habanero sauce and it was as yummy as I remember. I wish they still had the sauce bar to try them but understandable after covid. I got a cocktail which was yummy too. It was a blueberry lemonade drink and a bit disappointed they used frozen blueberries (was expecting fresh) They have a good happy hour and good daily deals, just check their website! Still one of the better restaurants on 32nd

Yelp
Average wings, got 2 kinds, hot buffalo and garlic Parm. The hot buffalo was good, not great. The garlic Parm was flavorless. Overall, average wings. Good beer selection though

Yelp
I am so disappointed. This was my first time going to the Highlands location, and the wings were 1/3 of the size (at best). I had ordered online for take out, and maybe the back of the house thought they could just "phone in" the service. I had bought a side of sauce, and they poured that into the wings carton, versus actually using a side cup. They put their blue cheese and ranch in a side cup, so there's really no excuse for the insane mess they caused. The only saving grace is that the food flavor itself is still good. I don't think I'll go out of my way to visit this location. Do better. Edit: I received the best response from this restaurant. They had included more wings due to the size, and I appreciate the support. Thank you!

Yelp
I'm not a huge fan of seitan but... these "wings" are absolutely delicious. I love the raspberry habanero sauce and they have wonderful vegan ranch that you could buy by the pint!!

Yelp
Great sports bar to come and eat some spicy wings, nachos and sandwiches with friends. They have a huge bar menu and the glass of wine I was served was easily half of a bottle and we appreciated that. They have a nice fireplace to wait near during the winter with full bar service but it was an extremely quick wait!

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, this place has really good wings! But the experience wasn't amazing unfortunately. I think they might've been short staffed, I wasn't sure. It just took a really long time to get the food and we had a dog and they wouldn't let us sit in the outdoor area that was enclosed in plastic. They said it wasn't their rules but just seemed a bit off at the time. We all got different flavor wings and they were delicious! We also tried their hottest wing and it is nothing to mess around with! Extremely spicy but definitely flavorful if you wanna mess around and burn your lips off for 30 minutes lol.

Yelp
Great vibes with good food and good service. First Hannah our waitress was awesome and laid back. Great on recommendations and was on ping on service. Food was good a little bit high on price but what isn't currently. I got the bbq bacon burger with Tots great flavor and hit the spot. Wifey got the Nashville Chicken once again didn't get a bite so had to have been good. The boys got 18 wings Buffalo Hot, Raspberry habanero, and Sweet BBQ. Bone in Also got the boneless was expecting wings, but was tenders. Overall, great experience, swing through and give it a try yourself.

Yelp
I've been to a few fire on the mountain locations, and this one might be my favorite. Something about this location is much cozier and comfortable to dine in. Our server is also one of the sweetest! Very patient and knowledgeable. We had the appetizer sampler (which I would warn can be dangerous cuz it will fill you up fast if you're sharing with just one other person!). But it was really tasty and is perfect for you to eat one of everything. My favorite are the fried pickles! The wings themselves were tasty just as expected. Thanks to the filling appetizer I have lots of wings to eat as leftovers

Yelp
Our server was very nice and friendly. He was knowledgeable about all the food items and even gave us recommendations on what to do in Denver. We ordered bone in wings and boneless wings, and would definitely recommend the garlic Parmesan bone in wings. They are rather small in size, but cooked perfectly crispy. The boneless have too much fried batter and oil in my opinion. The French fries are very flavorful too! They are cut fresh everyday and have a good ratio of fried to potato.

Yelp
Great vibe and awesome wings. They have a lot of options for sauces and most gluten-free. I saw they have vegan "wing" too. I didn't try them, but thought it was worth a mention. I really liked the saucyness of the wing sauce. The garlic parm sauce was rich and tasty, maybe a bit of heavy cream. It's worth a visit for a beer and good bar food.

Yelp
Service was great but the food took 50 minutes due to a medical emergency. I am not taking points off for that but it was a part of my experience. Inside was nothing special just a typical restaurant/bar environment. I was not impressed with the food though. I got a 5 piece boneless basket and they were basically the same thing as frozen chicken tenders with their sauce/dry rub on it. The sauces/rubs were good but I won't come back here. Fries were pretty good but I was just severely underwhelmed it felt like a chicken restaurant couldn't even do tenders right. Also we are years removed from the pandemic why are you still charging a 3% staff benefits fee. I am a fan of liveable wages but that shouldn't be pushed onto the customer on a % it should come out of the employers profits.

Yelp
I am so bad about doing reviews right away. My family and I decided we were going her for my nieces birthday (she wanted wings) I found this place on Yelp and it had great reviews and the food looked amazing! Although I can't remember everything we had, I know it was all really good and flavorful. As for the service don't ever go during shift change. Our 1st waiter can't remember his name but we only saw him once to get our drink order even though we saw him wondering around for another 30 minutes or so before we saw our 2nd waitress. Our 2nd waitress was so much better, she was attentive and made sure we had what we needed, I believe her name was Stacy. The place was small and you felt like you were sitting with the table next to you but the food was good so it's worth it.

Yelp
To be clear, I would give them 5 stars but I think their seating situation sucks and is confusing for first time people that stop in. We had never been to this location before except once and the place was empty and we just walked in, ordered and sat down. This time, the place was packed. We walked in, saw the sign that said order here and went to the left. We got up the counter to order and the cashier asked where we were sitting. We hadn't picked a spot to sit yet since we hadn't ordered yet. Apparently that is not how it works. When you walk in, you are supposed to go to the right and speak to a host about a seat, THEN get in line to order and then back to your seat. We were not aware of that and no one said anything to us when we walked in the door and went left. That being said, we ordered M80s (their version of jalapeño poppers) and we each got some wings and some local beers. They are a bit on the higher priced sides of wings compared to other wing joints, but I love how crispy and delicious they are. They have a great flavor. The M80s were crazy spicy. Tasted good, but man they burned my mouth. Once I got to the end I saw they leave all of the seeds in so that explains it.

Yelp
Fire On The Mountain was everything I'd hoped for and more! I was particularly stoked to check it out, given the great buzz about their wings. They did not disappoint! From the laid-back vibes the moment you step in to the incredibly friendly and efficient service, the welcoming atmosphere, good tunes, great drinks, and, of course, fantastic food! The wings were fire - just how they should be. Loaded with delicious buffalo sauce, crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And those fries deserve a shoutout too - homemade, perfectly crisp. I asked the server about the ketchup, thinking it might be Canadian, but it turns out they use both salt and sugar on the fries - a delightful surprise. Visited with my husband, Ryan my foodie partner in crime - he went for a delicious margarita, and I opted for a classic Coca Cola. They even had water on the tables to help cool things down after devouring those spicy wings. Fire On The Mountain is definitely a winner in Denver!

Yelp
First time visitor! Kept hearing good things since moving to Denver and finally had the chance to go. The appetizer sampler was a hit and the fried onion rings might have been the best I've ever had. Got 24 wings with 4 different sauces to include their monthly special sauce. The lime cilantro was very flavorful and surprisingly spicier than the hot buffalo. The garlic parm was also very good. The wings are slightly smaller than your typical chain joint, which I believe is a result of them being farm raised, but still very god. Restaurant has a cute location nestled in the Highlands neighborhood with outdoor patio seating and extra tent space during the summer.

Yelp
QR code for menu. Great outdoor seating area. Grateful Dead on the stereo Chill, calm vibe The basket is worth the price! I got a dry rub and a saucy with a different sauce for my tots. SO.MUCH.FLAVOR. My taste buds are doing a happy dance. Yes it is a titch pricey... worth it. I promise. Everyone that works here is major into music... all types not just jam band. I love it here. This is quintessential Denver vibe.

Yelp
Been here so many times. Wings are by weight which is great. I prefer a smaller wing with more sauce to meat ratio. Service is typically good but, can be slower when it gets busy, which is does. Great wing flavors and alternatives to wings as well. A must for wings lovers.

Yelp
Woweeee. I didn't eat meat for 7 years and this was my first time eating chicken wings after that period. It made me sad I missed years of eating these good wings. I like the fact that they're small, no gross weird chicken taste. I still get the ick from different meats and this was not one of them. The sauces were absolutely amazing too. We tried Buffalo medium and parm garlic. I probably could have done hot but the medium had great flavor and a little heat at the end. This is only 5 blocks from me so I see it being a regular stop going forward. Also shoutout to Drew for the great service!!

Yelp
MY MOST RECENT VISIT: I just love this place, and you should too. Mondays have a draft special, and we caught the $4 can special (including 16 oz) on Wednesdays today. $10 and $15 (6 wings or 9 plus tots/fries (there is another one, but I can't eat more than 9 wings)) for a lunch special, great background music ALL the time. Raspberry Habanero is my go to sauce, but know they always have a sauce of the month. With 9 wings, you get two sauces, and I went with Garlic Parm today, and wife always loves the dry rub. She does tots and loves them, but I get the fries with a buffalo blue dipping side. They are a true team environment. Rowan was technically the bartender who greeted us, but they rotate in people to check on the welfare of the bar people. They have a fantastic selection of beers, and they have a Pliny the Younger tasting next Tuesday. I definitely recommend, and see you there (I will see you on Tuesday at 11am).

Yelp
Tiny wings, multiple had a bunch of feathers, one had over 6 big long feathers which is an appetite turn off. Extremely overpriced. Fried pickles were good but just everything was overpriced for what I got. Flavors were nothing special.

Laura H.

Yelp
Loved my experience at fire on the mountain. We were worried about sitting outside because it's been so cold, but it was nice and toasty! The wings here were fire!! We got the cilantro lime (which tasted extremely cilantro limey and not like any other wing I've had before), hot Buffalo, and raspberry habanero (also a unique flavor but the raspberry is not very strong). And of course, we had to get a side - a mountain of tater tots (ordered a medium but it was definitely bigger than even larges at other restaurants). They tasted freshly fried and were perfectly crispy.

Yelp
A friend and I caught up over an early dinner. We sat on the patio and had an awesome server. Super attentive and everything arrived really quickly. I got the vegan gyro with tator tots. The tots were like nothing I've ever had. They have a sugar/salt sprinkle on them after being cooked to a perfect crisp, that makes them highly addictive. I shouldn't have eaten them all but I did with no regrets. The gyro was also outstanding and I appreciated the take with a vegan version even though I'm not a vegan. I brought my husband home a turkey bacon sammie with those tots. Even with a to go order, the flavors were spot on and he was a happy guy.

Yelp
My coworkers have told me how amazing the wings at FOTM are so me and my boyfriend (a wings aficionado) had to check them out. Right off the bat I loved the vibe of the restaurant and that they hold themselves to a higher standard of sustainability than most restaurants do. They compost & recycle and have avoided sending about 75% of their waste to landfills this way. LOVE. We started off with drinks, a Bloody Mary (non spicy) and the hibiscus cooler drink. We both loved them. Our friend got the queso for the table and it was super tasty! The consistency was pretty thin, not like some thick quesos I've had before (can you imagine the picture I'm painting lol). Then my bf and I each got an order of 9 wings, which is the smallest portion you can do while still getting to have 2 sauces. Between us both we tried: Cilantro lime- amazing definitely my favorite Bourbon chipotle- I thought this would be sweeter but it was SPICY Mild Buffalo- you just can't go wrong here & the sauce of the month which was like a citrusy flavor. Loved this one! The ranch was also delicious. In regards to service, we were waiting on friends for awhile and our waitress was so great checking in on us before they came and then after/throughout the meal! The only thing that I think could have improved the experience was a better understanding of the spice level of each flavor!

Yelp
Came here to use my Denver Passport book before it expired - we've been here a handful of times. Summary of 4 star: Food - wings were flavorful. We got a basket of 9 with half raspberry habanero and half garlic Parmesan. The sauces were very flavorful but in my opinion definitely too much sauce in the basket, drowning the celery sticks and discarded chicken wings. Also the wings are fairly small - I get this is supposed to be good quality chicken but for the price I don't think I can justify it without using a bogo entree in our passport book! We also got the fuego Crunchwrap which left something to be desired. The bites with queso were good but it wasn't blended throughout super well so there were some dry bites. Service - our waitress was super nice and the right amount of attentive. Our food came out promptly and hot, and there was no issue using our passport book. Ambiance - we sat outside in the heated section and it wasn't cold at all despite it being a chilly night. Would like to come back in the future and see what inside seating looks like! Overall would come here again if I had some sort of discount, don't think the price:value ratio is there for me unfortunately to be a regular. The flavor:sauce ratio is a 5/5!

Yelp
Finally swung by Fire on the Mountain the other day to try the wings I had heard so much about. This location has a little firepit outside that you can wait at, along with a pretty large canvas tent with seating. (We had to wait about 25 minutes on a Saturday afternoon, and got a seat inside). The beer selection was diverse (though some options a bit pricy). We got an appetizer sampler to start, which came with fried bits and things, including some really well executed fried pickle wedges and onion rings. (It's clear they do things by hand, and the breadcrumb coating held impressively). I got a basket of traditional wings, while one of my friends got the tenders (their boneless equivalent). As more recent reviewers noted, these are not jumbo in size, but they were still sufficiently filling. I got a buffalo sauce and a chipotle option on mine; the sauces were good, but the wings were over the top coated in sauce. I found that to ruin the chicken a bit from my perspective, so I would ask for it lighter next time. Service was friendly and efficient. p.s. I was pretty happy to read about some of the environmental efforts they take in running their business (compost, etc.), so definitely a joint you can feel good about checking out.

Yelp
I came here with my daughter a few weeks and will not ever be back. it took me a while to write this because every time i think about it a get so mad. As we were ordering the guy at the counter could not stop staring at my 16 year old daughters chest, it was incredibly uncomfortable for both of us, i even had to use the "my eyes are up here" line on the dude which only shook him out of staring for a little bit. but that was just the start. after we got our number and sat down in the back we noticed that kitchen staff kept wandering into the back part of the restaurant where we were sitting, lingering for a moment while looking towards our table(staring at my daughter) and then wandering back off. they weren't bringing food out or bussing tables, it was very obvious they were just there to get an eyeful. during previous visits there is usually a few members of the staff that are a little "out there" but i usually attributed that behaviour to them being on drugs. I get it, its a "hippie" restaurant, the staff being stoned, coked up, or half way to jupiter on acid is just part of the ambiance i guess? This seemed like a very coordinated effort on the part of the male staff to leer at a child. i ended up switching seats with my daughter so she would have her back to where all the creeps were standing to get their eyefull and we decided to just take our food to go. when the (thankfully female) employee brought our food, they had screwed up our order and brought regular wings instead of the seitan wings that my daughter had ordered, so now we had to wait longer if my daughter wanted to actually eat after being leered at by a bunch of old creeps. we tell the waitress whats been going on and tell her to bring us boxes and to just box up the veggie wings to go when theyre ready. She kind of sighed like this type of thing had happened before and did sort of apologize and gave us the name of the creep so i could included it in this review, the main creeps name is AJ (and apparently hes the manager). After she went to tell the KItchen to fix our order AJ came and brought a pitcher of beer and TWO glasses to our table "because of the delay". the waitress must've said something to him because he was almost tripping over his own feet trying not to look in my daughters direction now, and his demeanor was way different. I hadn't ordered a beer with my wings so having a gallon of beer presented to me in exchange for sexually harassing my daughter and ruining both of our dinners was an odd choice. not trusting anything that creepy AJ had brought to our table, i just left the beer while we waited for my daughters correct order. we eventually got our food and left and then had sad microwaved wings/veggie wings since everything was cold by the time we got home. Afterwards my daughter told me that creepy AJ had been like that on previous visits to fire on the mountain when shed gone in with her mom and that hed pulled the same stunt with the pitcher of beer and TWO glasses. this place has just gotten worse over the years, its almost $100 for two people to eat here, after waiting forever and i dont think ive ever had them get my order right on the first try. on top of that every time i go in there half the staff are very clearly drunk or on hard drugs. (when three guys all go in the one tiny bathroom at once, we all know what your doing). ignoring all of that though, I will no longer patronize this business because of the way their grown male staff sexually harassed my child, full stop. if the owner reads this, you need to fire AJ and all of the pedo kitchen staff that took a break from working on cooking peoples food in your busy restaurant to go creep on a child.

Yelp
Great spot. Food is fantastic and sauces are the best I've had. Wings are just right. Not over cooked and not under cooked. Solid selection of fried desserts too. Love the atmosphere and a great selection of beer. Pliney the elder on draft is clutch. The only thing I misss is that they don't use GM wings they switched to organic years ago when I lived in Portland. The size of wing used to be much larger. So price for what you get is meh. The house marg could Use some work. Otherwise, it's my favorite wings place in town!

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick drink after spending some time right outside the door at the Farmer's Market. They've got a decent selection of beers on tap along with a full bar. We'll def be back to dine in, especially after seeing several scrumptious burgers being taken to lucky patrons. Dang, if we had not just eaten. Lemme tell ya though, their spicy Bloody Marie was amazing. Round two.... Coming soon.

Yelp
Overrated for sure! The burger was below average at best, salad was meh, wings are good but definitely small. Probably would not go back unless only for wings

Yelp
So last night was my first time trying this place out. I ordered online and got 12 of the seitan wings but opened up the box when I got home to only 9 wings. Still giving 3 stars as the food taste great.

Yelp
Best place in Denver to get wings! Usually pretty busy but totally worth the wait. Lunch special on the weekdays is definitely worth visiting for

Yelp
When visiting Denver every year we make sure FOTM is on our itinerary. Fun and lively with friendly staff and excellent food. Nice variety of craft beer and drinks.

Yelp
The sauces here are so delicious! I love a good variety and fire on the mountain delivers. Our server Molly was an angel and brought us a tasting wheel of sauces! Like a cake tasting but so much better because *** chicken wings***?!? We shared an 18 count and got to choose 3 flavors. Spicy peanut was hands down the best - an Asian flare and a kick of spice. Thank god for being able to taste the sauces because we didn't choose this one originally. YUM. I could order all 18 in spicy peanut and their ranch is amazing. Our next favorite was the raspberry habanero, which is definitely spicy but the sweet and spicy combo is everything. Cilantro lime was unique and refreshing - tasted like a wing dipped in salsa but good? Medium tots tossed in Cajun (an up charge of $0.99, but adds a nice punch) are the way to go, they're big enough to share. Only complaint was that the wings were a little cold and definitely shrimpy for the price - you can see how bony they are in the pic. Lots of tvs for sports and easy parking!

Yelp
I've loved this place since it opened. I think the first time I went was like 10ish years ago to the highlands one. It quickly became one of my go to spots for wings. Now we go a lot for family gatherings and birthdays. It's just the best. My favorite sauces are Thai Peanut and the lime cilantro. The BBQ ones are slammin too. Fried pickles and the mozzarella wheels are an excellent side. But, the fries are the star side dish. Both regular and sweet potato. I don't recall if they brought it back or if it is just an old thing that I will always long for. But they used to do green chili fries and served it on a frisbee and I gotta say, that was pure joy. They also do a sauce of the month. Pronounced sawce o da month. One time they had this one for that was for a record release for this killer rock and roll band The Mother Fucking Ruckus. That one was the best hands down. And all the dudes in that band are amazing musicians and crazy handsome, you should check them out. Also side note the culture at this spot is awesome. They like literally only hire cool staff. I'm always blown away by the service.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with friends. I ordered a six count of the garlic Parmesan wings with a side of fries. The wings packed a lot of flavor. Sometimes garlic parm wings can be overly oily or outright dry but this was no where near the case for FOTM. I would definitely return to try the other flavors on the menu.

Yelp
It's 2024 and the wings are back to their pre-pandemic glory. I'm so glad to have my FOTM back. I'll visit every time I'm in town.

Yelp
I've been hearing about this place on the podcast All Fantasy Everything, and I am beyond happy to report that I was glad to make a point to come here. I had heard nothing but the wings here and the sauce list was almost too hard to choose from! I went with the raspberry habanero and the jerk chicken, both came highly recommended and were off the charts delicious. The blue cheese for dippin was also great with the side salad but was the perfect cooling point for those habanero wings. I loved thee neighborhood vibe of the place, and was impressed by the amount of people carrying out while we were there. Even though we were sitting at an outside portion, the service was fantastic, our server made sure the beers kept coming, and had a perfect vibe! Definitely enjoyed this place and it beat my expectations.

Yelp
YUM. So many fantastic flavor options!! I've been a few times and it hits the spot every single time. Lots of beer and other alcoholic drinks to choose from while you eat your chicken wings (or vegan ones, whatever you like). It's worth the wait!!

Yelp
Yo, let me drop a hip Yelp review for Fire on the Mountain Denver. So, I hit up this spot to get my wing fix for the Super Bowl, and let me tell you, this place is the ultimate SB wings headquarters! The vibes are straight-up dope, and the people here are super cool. First things first, let's talk about the wings. Oh man, they are out of this world! Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection. They've got a killer variety of sauces to choose from, so you can customize your wing game to the max. Whether you're into classic Buffalo, tangy BBQ, or something spicy, they've got you covered. But it's not just about the wings, my friend. Fire on the Mountain Denver knows how to create an atmosphere that screams good times. The place is buzzing with energy, and you can feel the excitement in the air. The staff is friendly and always ready to make your experience top-notch. And let me tell you, if you're a fan of craft beer, this joint is your jam. They've got an impressive selection of local brews on tap that will perfectly complement your wing feast. So grab a cold one and get ready to indulge in wings that will make your taste buds do a happy dance. I highly recommend checking out Fire on the Mountain if you're in need of some next-level wings, Trust me, you won't be disappointed. It's the spot where flavor meets fun, and it's definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
I'm a vegetarian, so it's always great to see a wing place with multiple non-meat options. The first time I came to FOTM, I ordered the seitan wings, which actually ended up giving me quite the stomach ache. My guess is it was due to the high concentration of gluten in seitan. The sauces were delicious though. Upon returning, I ordered the cauliflower wings which definitely hit the spot. I also love the option to get tater tots instead of French fries. Overall, love the sauces and the cauli wings, just be careful with the seitan wings if you have a gluten sensitivity (even a mild one like mine)

Yelp
FOTM is one of the few places I'll spoil myself with every once in awhile. Like I'll come here alone order my usual hot wings (all flats) with small tots and an IPA. One of the most satisfying meals in the world. There's even outlets in the side room to get work done. Whether you're here to watch the game, chill outside, or order to-go, FOTM doesn't disappoint. I didn't mention it in my last review, but service is always fast and efficient. The volume they're able to handle is impressive. Speaking of food, I've also gotten the nachos before, and those are fantastic. Someday I'll have to try a burger and fried pickles, but don't fix what isn't broken, ya know? Overall one of my favorite places to eat in Denver!!!

Yelp
This is the first wing spot that I've been to in Denver and this place did not disappoint! We arrived around 6:30pm and it was already pretty busy, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table which wasn't bad at all. They had indoor and outdoor seating. The inside was pretty cute, looked a little like a dive bar. My friend got a spicy margarita and I got the Odell sippin lemonade. They were pretty good but they did have a couple of fun looking cocktails that I would come back to try. It looked like they had a pretty good happy hour that ends at 6 PM with cocktail and food specials. For food we got the appetizer sampler which came with onion rings, fried pickles and fries. We got tater tots instead of fries. And it came with two dipping sauces and they were very tasty! We shared a bunch of wings and got to choose four flavors. We chose garlic parm, buffalo, sweet bbq, and raspberry habanero. Our favorite was the garlic parmesan! Overall the wings were a bit small (we did receive more than we ordered though) but the sauces were very good.
