Walking into Firebirds Woodfire Grill, the hostess greeted right away and sat us with-in one minute of arriving. We were sat at a booth, sadly the table had bread crumbs, water droplets and streaks, but when dried the table became sticky. The hostess did mention she'd come back to get it cleaned but did not. I ended up just wiping it down with my napkin.
Our waitor, Enrique, explained the menu and specials with no problems. He was very attentive and professional. There is complimentary bread freshly baked with a side of whipped butter. The bread was had a nice crust , but the bread was a little too dense. Butter was smooth, light and fluffy.
If you're a wino, I would suggest not to order the red house wine. The dirty Martini was nicely prepared. I ordered the BLT Salad with fresh cracked pepper, portion was enough, simple ingredients, dressing was poured a little too much for my liking but great taste. I also ordered a side loaded baked potato. It was nicely baked and well seasoned on the skin with sea salt and loaded with all its toppings. The husband ordered the Filet, medium, with Au gratin. The meat was so tender and juicy and cooked to the perfect temp. The Au gratin potatoes were crispy on top, cheesy, tender and well seasoned. Nothing left behind on that entrée! The birthday girl ordered a kids baby back ribs with papas Fritas and steamed broccoli. The ribs were delicious! The meat was tender and fell off the bone. The BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy and had a nice char and carmalization from the grill. The fries were ok on the cook, maybe just a tad bit longer in the fryer, but nicely seasoned and not too greasy. The best part was when Enrique presented a birthday creme Brule berry cheese cake with a single lit candle for my daughter. We sang an intimate happy birthday and she made her wish! Thank you for an awesome dinner experience! My overall experience I would rate a 9.5 / 10! We will be back!
