Where to Snag Sweet Sufganiyot for Hanukkah in Chicago | Eater Chicago

"A popular local mini-chain known for its annual run of sufganiyot offered as mini doughnuts in seasonal fillings; this year they serve raspberry–blood orange and lemon curd varieties and sell individual pieces, mixed dozens (six of each), or party trays of 24 minis through multiple outposts across the city and suburbs." - Naomi Waxman

Went here only because reviews say vegan options. They had one vegan item that wasn't even a donut. I got the Sydney doughnut which has cherry cream filling but it's very artificial cherry flavored cream and the doughnut itself was pretty basic and nothing special. Have to ask for a key to the restroom like a shady gas station. $5.95 for the doughnut which was very meh. Go to Stan's instead. Plus your gonna pay to park for an average doughnut.

Discovered this cute little spot by happenstance and popped in for a quick snack. The inside space is small, but it’s perfect for decompressing if you’re an introvert like myself. There’s also an outside patio to soak up the sun if it’s a bright day! I ordered a regular donut with whole milk and got to people-watch while waiting for a date. Will definitely stop by every now and then for a nice getaway before therapy.

Got two donuts and a latte! They have a good amount of options for drinks, both iced and hot, coffee and tea! A nice display of donuts too, half a case for classic and fancier donuts. Very tasty either way! They also have specials, I had The Surprise which is a long John style donut with banana creme. Very good! I recommend for drinks the Iced Cherry Mocha, I only had a normal latte with the syrup but with mocha it'd def have an extra oomph. Very nice and friendly staff too! They were both attentive and explained to me what was available (and mentioned about the donut filling). I came before and it was also super great.

Their Apple Fritters and Cinnamon rolls are so good! Just pop them in the microwave for a few seconds, and you’re golden. I’ve been having their apple fritters almost every day for a month and, honestly, I’m starting to gain weight! The portions are perfect, too. I’ve even bought some for my team and my dad. In my opinion, they’re the best in Oak Park. I don’t know of any other bakery around here that makes apple fritters like theirs.

Food: I ordered two donuts. The gluten free Double Chocolate Coconut and the Coconut Cream. The double chocolate coconut was dense but moist. It wasn't as heavy on the chocolate flavor as the name suggests but still enjoyable. The coconut flakes are more of a garnish than flavor enhancer. I would order this again. The coconut cream however, I would pass on. I was anticipating for it to be filled with cream but the only cream you are getting is the dollop on top. Without it, the dense breading inside isn't much to celebrate. Be sure to spread and savor the dollop that is on top. I additionally ordered a hot chocolate that I feel neutral. Not bad or watered down in any way. I was hoping for a thicker consistency, but I'd order it again as well. Service: There was one girl working the shop in the morning. She was young, kind, and patient. Despite making all the drinks herself, she made them rather quickly. Atmosphere: Small cafe but it has a warm, cozy feeling. It has a slight rustic barn vibe to it. Small table off to the side for seating. There wasn't any patio seating when I visited in April. Depending on how crowded this place can get, the lounge area can fill quickly. More of a quick stop in, grab your goods, and head out due to lack of space.

I went before closing, but was able to snag the last cinnamon roll. The guy working there also said that this was probably the last couple days for the peach cobbler donuts since it’s seasonal. So unfortunately, despite me not even needing one treat, I got two. Who knew the perfect cinnamon roll was right by me this whole time? Both treats were balanced and you could tell that they were fresh which I truly appreciate and now I’m seeing in the reviews that there is a chicken sandwich, so I guess I’ll be back.

Cozy little donut shop. Delicious food, great matcha latte, and calm lofi music! Unfortunately they didn’t have lavender or cherry today

The double chocolate coconut vegan donut was my favorite of the ones we purchased. The donuts were really good. The service was great. There is a small parking lot nearby.
