Google
Just had Firehouse subs for the first time. Best sub I’ve had in a long time. I got the Italian my husband got the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. Awesome staff. If you haven’t tried it yet, give them a chance. So good!

Google
I tried the corned beef for the first time, and it was very tasty. I was, however, disappointed with the amount of meat on the sandwich. It seems to be about 3oz and that’s not enough for a medium price of $9.99. My husband had a medium tuna, which was good, as always. Disappointed they were out of limes to compliment my cherry limeade, which I really love. The cherry limeade out of the machine had a weird aftertaste, so I replaced it with the lemon-limeade. The pickles we got were kinda small to be honest. Overall, a nice meal.

Food was good, delivery was fast, the lady who delivered it was nice, they just forgot to take onions off but thats fine. I work food too, Im 90 percent sure I ordered during a rush too but still yummy. I've only ever had Firehouse twice but both times were very pleasant, thank you

Google
I love firehouse more than any other sandwich places in town. It's a hot day. They were busy but you got to watch how you treat your employees or talk to people, especially with customers watching. I'm chalking it up too busy and hot but will say something just to make sure it's addressed. The guy ringing people up was absolutely amazing. You dealt with it. Amazing!.

Google
I watched an employee rub his nose in the back room, take a drink, not wash his hands and go back to work. Only 1 guy was wearing a hat. Got home and no au just for the French dip and the soup was ice cold. Probably won't go back.

Google
Went here for lunch takeout. I was waited on right away but it took about 15 minutes to get my sandwich dues to the online and in store orders before me. I would suggest ordering online if you need to order takeout. The staff was great and friendly. I would highly recommend them.

Google
The Traverse City Firehouse Sub location always has friendly, helpful staff. The food is always good. I have had constant problems with the app, and getting points credited properly. They helped me get my order placed. I have had several bad experiences with the Muskegon location, however. The manager acts like you're a nuisance. So I don't go there anymore.

Google
We honestly like the place but the service here is extremely slow. There was no one else in front of us when we ordered and it took them 25 min to make our two sandwiches. They prioritize online ordering and not in store service.

Yelp
Stale bread... I'm so bummed. I used to love firehouse subs but this is my third try.. three difference locations and they all were serving bread that needed to be tossed out. The service was good.. but ..I think I'm out

Yelp
First visit to a firehouse sub. I should have guessed something was going to be difficult when the local website wouldn't work. Three people were working all very friendly. But it took about 30 minutes for them to make my order of two small subs. Not sure that is normal? The to go order rack was empty and there were 5 people in front of me. I would consider subs a faster food even those you heat up. Maybe I'm missing something. Also if you know something is going to take longer than expected have a sign or tell customers then they can choose to leave and try again. The subs themselves are smaller than I thought they were going to be especially for the price point. However I do like the options for the sizes. The bun was great and the sandwich was delicious. That is why this gets four stars.

Yelp
Food is amazing, service not so much. Service super unenthusiastic and I did not get one hello when I walked in the door.

Yelp
Ordered the Italian minus lettuce. All I got was bread, meat, tomato, mayo and a ton of oil. By the time I got home it was just a pile of wet bread.

Yelp
food - amazing, everything is always fresh and delicious service - always quick and very nice and helpful ambiance - it's a nice place for being so small, and it's always clean

Yelp
Food was okay. I had the 8" Italian sub. Good not great. I think there's too many amazing sandwiches in the area to go back here (folgarellis for example).

John H.

Yelp
Very fresh ingredients and nice presentation. Lots of meat and veggies. Not the cheapest but good quality for the price.

Yelp
20 minutes to get subd with only 1 person in front of me. Everyone doing everything except making sandwiches. It's sad because I really like Firehouse, I won't be back to this location

Yelp
Super good meatball sub I love the pickle bucket there. it was faster then I thought it was going to be. Ok

Finnegan C.

Yelp
Im a big sub fan and I love Jimmy Johns and my father and I were exited to go test this place out when it first opened. I don't remember much but I do remember that the sandwiches were not very good. They heat the Sandwiches so the sandwiches taste weird and hot. I did not like my food and neither did my dad

Yelp
Well this is my newest favourite food. The subs were absolutely amazing!! I had the turkey bacon so did my daughter and my husband had the brisket sub. The food was better than Subway, Quiznos and Mr Sub combined! This was the first time going to this place and it will not be the last. I wish we had one closer to our home. The people that were working were fantastic! They greeted us as soon as we walked in and even though we took our time ordering( because we had never been there before) there were so patient and accommodating. The decor was awesome and I loved the facts about firefighters around the store. Great job!!! Absolutely loved the experience!!!! Thank you!

Ken J.

Yelp
First time there: but not my last. The Beef Brisket and Cheddar was more than satisfying, and the service provided by Chuck, Christina, and Adam was top notch. If the opportunity arises for you to stop in: DO IT! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
The sub I ordered was wonderful! My mom got me my first sub from firehouse and I was hooked. I ordered a large steak and cheese which was huge I know next time to get half of that. It was packed with meat! Wish there was a little more mayo I ordered extra which I completely understand my extra and a normal persons extra is totally different. I took my sub home witch is about a 10 minute drive and it was still warm. I also told my friend about how wonderful it is and sent a picture of how big of a sub it was and for $12.00 and that was rounding up for first responders! Anyways the guys were extremely friendly and helpful even though they just got in a huge order right before I ordered (it was over the phone with multiple subs added on) I was impressed with how they handled themselves (I'm an ex subway manager I seen lots of people break under that kind of pressure) these guys did Wonderful! I will be back!!!

Yelp
Tastes good, but sometimes take a while and is a bit expensive. Overall worth it in my opinion.

Yelp
Was in town for the day and decided to give firehouse a try. My go to is DiBella's but I didn't have time to look if there was one in Traverse City so firehouse it was. That being said I am comparing firehouse to dibellas for this review. We ordered the Large Cheesesteak and Large Hero. First off size...DiBelas are certainly filed with more meat, cheese and veggies compared to FireHouse. Second, flavor...I prefer cold subs so Firehouse being grilled was something new. The taste and flavor wasn't bad however on the hero the sweet ham sort of dominated everything and was a bit off putting. Not bad however it just sort of dominated the flavor over the other meats in the sandwich.y wife's cheese steak was good she stated...not freshly grilled like dibellas or other chains like penn station, Jersey Mike's, big johns, etc but still good. Third was price...$12.99 for a sub with a little bit of lunch meat in it and a few veggies seemed a bit steep to me. I'm not normally one to complain or bring up price but out the door with rounding up for donation we came in at $29 for 2 large subs. Ouch....

Yelp
This was our first visit. Maybe we came on a off day... but the caption "oversized portions of premium meat" HAHA no way. I had the hook and ladder and it was good, definitely did not have an oversized portion. I thought they were a little pricy given the size and minimal substance of the sub. Mine looked nothing like the photos posted above and I feel generous by giving 3 stars.

Yelp
These are the best subs, freshly made, half or whole sub. They are the best, you won't be disappointed. And the Decour is all fire house! The kids will love it. Now I'm hungry after writing this, Firehouse Subs here we come!!

Chris G.

Yelp
Employees are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are average. And the food is top notch. Took a little while to get my order, but well worth it taste as amazing.

Jeanie S.

Yelp
I've never had before and with an appointment on that side of town we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. The cheddar brisket was a favorite, the gluten free spicy cajun chicken was a big thumbs up for my gluten free coworker. I enjoyed an Italian chicken salad. My only complaint would be I asked for a few things to be left off my salad and they were left on...

Yelp
There was four of us and we each had different subs. They were perfect! I cannot wait to return again to get another sub! We ate in, and appreciated the kindness of the staff. The four of us hadn't visited in a long time, so we were there longer than expected. One of the staff came to check to make sure we were okay and if we needed anything! It's nice to be met with staff that is smiling and all very helpful! I see that there is catering, and that may come in handy in the future.

Lou S.

Yelp
Never been to another firehouse subs so I have nothing to compare it to, but this one is very good, great service with a smile and the subs are great, a very nice change of pace from subway. Have missed Quiznos ever since they left and firehouse fills the void, steak sub and the engineer are my favorites.

David A.

Yelp
Service was great. Staff was wonderful. Fun, smart, efficient. Absolute pleasure. Left with a smile.

Yelp
We were so excited to have Firehouse Subs in TC, and for the first couple of months the service and food were fantastic. Over the past few months, however, the service and lack of order accuracy have worsened to the point where we're not sure we'll return. There are different employees on shift when we visit than at the beginning when the location opened and they don't have the same attention to detail nor provide the same level of customer service. We love the pickle spears yet we don't receive them with our orders at least 50% of the time, and our orders submitted through the app apparently aren't arriving at the store lately but we don't find that out until we're there to pick up the orders. Then we have to redo the order, wait for the order to be made and monitor our card's activity to make sure we aren't double billed. The only reason we continue to eat Firehouse Subs is the quality of the food, yet we're starting to seriously consider not returning. We hope to see a permanent positive turnaround soon.
