I’ve never had Firehouse Subs until now and boy was I missing out. The subs were delicious! I had the meatball sub, and I’d definitely order it again. Everything was perfect. The portion, the flavors, were both spot on. I’m a sucker for a good meatball sandwich and this did not disappoint! My youngest got the pepperoni pizza meatball sub and ate the entire thing in one sitting (which is rare). I call that a win! My husband and my oldest child both got the Hook & Ladder. My husband said it was the best sandwich and he’d order it again. I didn’t try it, but it smelled AMAZING! My oldest liked it as well, but said it had a tad too much mustard for her, but it didn’t ruin the sandwich. She still really liked it. I can’t believe this is my first time trying sandwiches from here…but it won’t be my last!

Sitting here now waiting for our food. There is one person working the counter and one person in back (that we can see). Trashes are overflowing, there’s a sticky mess on the floor where someone dropped a drink that hasn’t been cleaned up and the cashier is quoting 15-20 minute wait times for food because he’s running the front of the store by himself. Seven other parties dining in and/or waiting for food. Management, this is a terrible way to leave your employees and really bad for business. Get some staff in here to support the Sunday traffic if you’re going to be open on Sundays. Cashier was very nice and doing a great job. Get him some help. Update: After waiting 35 minutes for our food the girl on the phone in the back finally came out front to help and made our food. When I finally got home I found my sandwich was smothered in cheese after specifically requesting no cheese so I couldn’t eat it.

Walking into Firehouse felt less like a sandwich shop and more like a secret firefighter calendar shoot where the walls were sweating hotter than the chili sauce. Instead of Hawaiian tiki masks, it’s firefighter helmets and axes on the walls, and somewhere in the back you swear you hear a Dalmatian barking Morse code. My first bite of the Hook & Ladder sub hit me so hard it was like being rescued from a burning building of hunger; everything went red, orange, and flashing lights while shirtless firefighters slow-mo sprayed me with imaginary hoses of diet cola! My wife’s Brisket & Cheddar combo summoned a squad of muscular heroes who slid down invisible poles and flexed as she took each bite. The smell of smoked meat mixed with the scent of engine oil and cologne until I wasn’t sure if I was eating lunch or starring in a music video. By the end we were fanning ourselves with the napkins and whispering “Thank you for your service” to the soda machine. We left with full stomachs, weak knees, and the faint sound of sirens following us out like a love song.

They put a cold cut sandwich with mayo and mustard through the heater, WHY???? The flavor of cold meat ran through a heater is uhhh, very interesting. This is one of the worst things I have ever tasted. I don't know how to describe mayo and mustard extremely heated up and dissolved onto bread and turkey meat. Can't wait for Jessica to tell me they'll take our feedback into consideration 🤪

Google
Service was amazing the gentleman that helped us was funny and helped get our order placed. The food was great! I got the French dip sandwich and I failed to take a picture before taking a bite and before I knew it my sandwich was gone. So good would go fo another one.

Google
Five-star review for the employee that help me with my order. I was using a coupon and misordered my food. They were able to make it right and I appreciate that. I was pretty tired. The quality was good They were making them to order. Business was pretty busy the night that we went so you could tell that nothing was sitting too long. I appreciate that the fountain machine was in the dining area so you could get refills. The bathrooms were clean. Would go there again if the need arise.

I don't know what happened, but I'm writing this hoping that management/ownership steps in. I used to go to firehouse subs regularly. Always enjoyed the sense of community that I felt here, and being able to contribute to firefighters. It's been a couple of years and I recently moved back to the area and have found the urge to come back here a couple of times. Both times there were nearly 5-10 people waiting for their orders, and entire 10 minute windows where no one is getting their food. I get that food is made fresh, but that pace is crazy. Once you do get your food, all of the drink options are empty, the lid/straw/napkin receptacles are empty & garbages are overflowing because everyone has been frantically trying to keep up. The atmosphere feels miserable: no music, employees are friendly but clearly overwhelmed and burnt out, and frustrated customers. Fingers crossed something gets sorted out, because I would love to feel that community again. My advice for ordering during any kind of normal window is to order online and allow an extra 10-15 minutes past your original pick up time for the best experience.

Google
Always excessively late. Whether it's delivery or personal online orders, you may as well just wait in your car for a long time before going in. As both a delivery driver and a customer I dread coming here. Absolutely dread it because they take so long. No matter what day, what time. No matter how far in advance you order, they won't have it ready and you'll be sitting and waiting for a long amount of time.

Yelp
We love firehouse subs and decided to go way out of our way to satisfy our craving. The staff at this location were VERY nice and the food was great. However, the entire place was unkept and dirty. I mean every place I looked was dirty... every table, every corner around the floor, the windows, the window frames, the trash container, everywhere! We had to ask to our table cleaned, then all others were just left uncleaned. This is a Management issue not setting cleanliness standards to the employees, unfortunate but we won't be back.

Yelp
After my first visit and being rather impressed, thought I would try this establishment again; this time trying a medium Club on Sub. Have you ever been somewhere and you can just tell the employee's "heart" is just not "into" their job? That was my experience. Perhaps it's time for this individual to look for employment elsewhere that will suit their needs more than just a "paycheck". At least if I was the store manager, that's what I'd be saying to ALL of my employees. I requested wheat bread, caramelized onions, caramelized peppers, banana peppers, jalapenos, bell peppers, lettuce, chopped pickles, cucumbers, and black olives on my sandwich. What I received was a huge chunk of ham slices, sliced turkey breast, one pathetic half cooked piece of bacon I found at the very bottom. Not much else of all of the above as you can see in my photos. Vegetables can make or break a sandwich and without many of ANY of what I requested, it was certainly lackluster not just in appearance, but also in taste/flavor. Also found it interesting though the medium size sandwich is to measure 7-8 inches, mine appears to come up short (remind you of any other establishments that "false advertise"? Sadly, the side pickle spear that I requested was the best part of the meal.

Yelp
NO stars!! I get in there and there's only one guy behind the counter, three people waiting for their order and five GI's waiting to order. That's not the worst, the guy behind the counter has hair covering his face down to his chin! All I saw was all that hair getting into my food so we walked out!! THIS WOULDN'T post without a star

Yelp
I took my girlfriend here for here birthday to get her free sub like there website and sign says and the server Hannah was incredible rude refusing us the birthday deal because we haven't had the app for a week even though she didn't ask to see or our phone or how long we'd had the app. I then come back in to confirm this and she refuses to try the order because her manger says it won't work. This all seems very unprofessional and pathetic server. Also the gentleman with the braids was very kind and wished my girlfriend happy birthday.

Yelp
We ordered 2 French dip sandwiches for takeout and both were missing the au jus and were very cold. Mistakes happen, but when we reached out to their customer service we were initially offered 100 loyalty points by their AI bot. For reference, it takes 12000 points to replace one of the sandwich. So to fix their error, they offered to replace 1/240th of the cost of the sandwiches. I asked to talk to an actual representative who offered 1000 points. When I pressed again I was told that was the best they could do, but "the points are available for immediate use!" Not sure what I can use it on, as the cheapest item still costs 4000 points. What a slap in the face. Worst customer experience I've ever received. The food is good, but if they screw up your order don't expect them to actually make it right. What a joke, will not return.

Yelp
I ordered 3 sandwiches at 7:19pm today, estimated to be ready at 7:54pm to 8:19pm. I showed up to pick my order up at 7:50pm hoping it would be ready. Not a car in sight, no one in the restaurant and my order was behind the counter. All sandwiches were "hot" but by the time I got 2 miles down the road they were cold. My husbands pastrami sandwich was also soggy with the bread falling apart. My sons sandwich was sticking to the paper in the box and mine had more cheese than meat and there wasn't much cheese. We literally wasted $40 dollars on 3 sandwiches, no chips, drinks or anything else. To say we were dissatisfied is an understatement. We will not return, which is bothersome as it's the first time we've had such an experience there and chose this place for what their mission is.

Yelp
i really like the subs here. the bread is fresh and soft while still holding it together. i had the hook and ladder my wife the meatball and pepperoni. she really enjoyed it. if i had anything to complain about and it's not picky but on the hook and ladder instead of layering the two meats they just took a pile of turkey stuck it on one side then the ham same way next to that. which left about 2" of the roll on one end completely void of filling. didn't effect the quality but unless you can fit the whole end in ur mouth ya get a bite with ham then a bite of turkey. i tried out the hot sauce bar going with their recommendations and i gotta say the flavors don't work for me but ur tastes may be diff. the folks behind the counter were friendly and patient as it took my wife a min to decide what she wanted. the interior ids quite basic with a cafeteria feel to it but very clean and unlike some places they didn't try to squeeze every last inch of seating space so ya have room to eat without feeling like you're in a high school lunch room.

Yelp
I've been eating at Firehouse since they came to Utah over 15 years ago. The last several years the services has been horrible, slow and most of the time, our order has been wrong (at the Layton, UT store). I won't be back (at least to the Layton store). I've tried calling the store, I've messaged through there support link (today it wasn't even working). My last order at the Layton store was missing the brownies we ordered, and this order we received small subs instead of the medium we ordered.

Yelp
Let's start with the location on how great it is on the side of the Main Street that has a lovely look to it. The employees are super friendly and helpful on making sure you leave satisfied. The sandwich are amazing and super affordable. For someone like me that's not big on dessert they will blow you away with their cookies and brownies I always have to have them as I get a sandwich.

Yelp
Cute counter service sandwich shop designed like a fire station. It was far above other sandwich places like Subway in taste. I got the meatball sandwich. It was very good. The dumpling soup was excellent. They have a fountain drink machine with flavors. The store was clean and spacious. The service was friendly.

Yelp
Always have treated me well here. I feel like when I walk in I am a regular even though I've only been here a handful of times with how they treat me. The team is great and the food is the best. I highly recommend this location to anyone wanting a good hearty sub.

Yelp
This firehouse had one of the best customer service that I have ever been too. Not the hook and ladder was amazing too!

Yelp
The staff and food here are so so great! We love the Hill Field Road location. The food is delicious, and the staff always give us the best customer service. We always leave feeling like valued customers, which keeps us coming back again and again. Keep it up guys and thanks for being awesome!
