01/07/2025 @ 11:18 AM Worst Firehouse Subs order ever. The two gentlemen in there were friendly but my order was totally messed up. I didn't get any mustard on the sandwiches which comes on the Hook and Ladder, BARELY any mayo, received no pickle spears for either sandwich, and on one I ordered double meat which definitely was not on there but I was charged for it! I don't think I'll ever return to this location ever again. P.S. I forgot to take pictures of the actual sandwiches 😔

Google
The Jamaica Jerk Turkey is properly in contention for the best Sammich we've ever had. A large feeds both of us, the staff are great and it's always super fresh. So good we had to go twice!!

Google
Great place to eat tasty sandwiches and contribute to a great cause. The staff were very friendly! They were training a new cashier on the register and made it totally painless to me, the order was processed correctly and they even brought it out to my table. Bonus points for the employees that came over to check on me after being served!!!!!

Google
Firstly, I came in and ordered and a Second Lady came and in and ordered. The girl Yasmine switched our orders and the lady ended up leaving with mine. So I go back in and tell her and she had the nerve to say “she’s still outside” as if I’m suppose to go get the sandwich back? Then she proceeds to ask me if I want a remake, like yes I didn’t order this sandwich and I just paid money?? So then I have to wait another 10 mins for them to make it. She then makes the order wrong a second time!!! I already get home and call the store and she tells me that I only said no veggies, which is not the case because I hate mayo! This is ridiculous and the audacity of your employee is unreal. Then she proceeds to tell me that I can come back in the morning and to bring the sandwich for a refund? I’m not keeping this Sandwich over night and I expect a refund when I do go in there tomorrow because now I have to spend more money getting something else to eat since you have subpar employees

Super quiet when UNLV on a Saturday just before noon. We had a large order for pickup, which was all correct. I also ordered an additional sandwich when we got there, and they were very quick with it. Very nice employees.

Best subs we have ever had! Ladies up front were so sweet and helpful as this was our first time here. Place was super clean and easy parking.

Google
Entering Firehouse Subs, the place is clean, full of student workers, and really quiet during the weekday evening... as I say that... I run into a worker with his two daughters, and a grubhub and doordash worker. Anyway... like most places near UNLV, they have specific discounts for students, this being a mid sub combo, drink, and a bag of chips for 7 Dollars. The Hook&Ladder sub is very good. I would like to note that the order times are a bit long, but thats mostly due to online orders taking place. Overall It's a nice place to go when hungry.

Yelp
Firehouse Subs it was the smell that drew us in...this location is side by side to other restaurants but the delicious smells are overpowering! Our order: Italian medium & cuban large sub with a meal deal (drink & chips). Our total was 23$ because the friendly staff offered a discount & we received extra chips & soda for free. All i had to say was that it was my first time and they were like i gotchuuuu! Founded by firemen! Fire subs are only part of their mission. A portion of your purchase in 2024 at all US Firehouse Subs locations goes to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, to be used to provide lifesaving equipment to first responders. Since the Foundation started, it has granted over $81 million to provide equipment, training, and support to hometown heroes. Best news? They're located in many states across the US including NY, CA, FL, AZ, NV & many more 10/10

Yelp
Firehouse Subs is located at University Square on Maryland and Tropicana. Inside is a casual atmosphere with good seating. I tried Jamaican Jerk Turkey Sub (small, $6.49), it's good! It has lettuce, tomato, smoked turkey, and pepper jack cheese with onion, mayo, jerk sweet mustard sauce, and carribean seasoning. The sub pairs well with their freshly brewed iced tea, yummy!

Yelp
I love this place, the quality is consistent every time I go. I love the app because you get points that lead up to free sandwiches. You can order through th app and choose a time you'd like to pick up. I also love that some of the proceeds go to firefighters. Every time I've gone, the service has been great. It's always clean and I appreciate that.

Yelp
My kids were getting hangry and they couldn't agree on what to eat, so I saw this Firehouse while driving by and I settled it for them. My son got his usual grilled cheese kids meal, and my daughter got the steak & cheese sub. Both liked their food. The staff was ok, but they didn't seem warm and friendly. The tables and chairs also could've been cleaner. Close to UNLV Campus, it's a great location for hungry students. Yelp also offers a $7 combo for checking in... but this offer is just for UNLV Students only. I'd come back again.

Yelp
Quick lunch before heading to the freeway. Always love firehouse with their steamed meat so this was definitely a treat since there's none in Fresno anymore the customer service they were nice. We decided to eat in the restaurant. There was no one in there so it was quite very clean bathroom. So glad I got to stop and get this rare treat.

Yelp
Sandwiches were great. Delivery was on time. I am planning to use them for a catered lunch at the end of the month.

Yelp
The people who own or work there need to be mindful of the customers. I got there at 10:30am and I am probably the second customer there. I was welcomed by some employees, went to the counter to order. The guy at the counter seemed like the owner. He picked up the phone and started talking. I stood there for like 3 or so minutes for him to finish his call. Then he asked me what want. I opened my mouth and started talking, he ignored me and started talking to his employees. That took another few minutes. When he turned to me after, I asked him if he is done with his talking. He said yes. I placed my order and waited. They spoke a different language and seemed like family or relatives. Either way, I had to wait for a bit for the sandwich and in the mean time, these people were talking loudly with each other while making the sandwiches. I wished they had a mask on...it was sort of disgusting. The ambience wasn't a great one with everything going on.

Yelp
Charges for special bread then used plain Disappears into the back to make sandwich. At subway I can watch Plays Muslim videos on TV Never again

Yelp
I ordered sandwiches and asked that they not include tomatoes, onions, & pickles. I got home to find all 3 in my sandwiches. When I requested my money back, the owner tried to tell me that it was company policy to not give refunds. Never coming back here again.

Yelp
My first review of 2020. When my appetite was on fire after visiting the new Peet's, I walked to the Firehouse across Maryland Parkway to extinguish it. Since former firefighter brothers Robin and Chris Sorenson founded the first Firehouse Subs in Jacksonville, Florida back in 1994 the popularity of visiting a Firehouse to extinguish an appetite fire for subs has grown tremendously. As I write this, Firehouse has grown to 1,180 locations. This includes their first location in Rhode Island that opened today. My experience at the Maryland at UNLV Firehouse is evidence of why they are so popular. When I walked into this faux firehouse (they do a tremendous job with the theme), they instantaneously greeted me. After glancing at the menu above that features several sandwiches named after firehouse related stuff, I ordered the Engineer's sub medium sized with a medium Coke Freestyle beverage. It came out to $9.62 after taxes. This was a small control burn on my wallet. In Firehouse, you pay at the register and they bring you the food. Firehouse is a fun place to wait for food because the attention to the Firehouse theme is so realistic. The ultimate aspect of the Firehouse theming is the handpainted mural that is distinct to the majority of the Firehouse restaurants. They are so neat, that I can actually see a YouTuber going to the different Firehouse restaurants across the country photographing the handpainted murals. The Maryland at UNLV mural features the scene of firefighters and fire engines by UNLV. However, the dalmatian is missing in action Also missing in action were crowds. On Sunday morning the Maryland Parkway corridor at UNLV is a contradiction of its hyperbusy condition during weekdays when school is in succession and parking lots like this one are filled. However on a Sunday morning it was sparsely filled with vehicles. Nonetheless, this was irrelevant to me. I parked across the street in the new mixed use building where I hung out in the new Peet's. Afterwards I walked across the signalized crosswalk to the shopping center where Firehouse is. On the contrary, what was not missing in action was the delecious taste of the Engineer Club. Tucked between wheat bread were smoked turkey breast, melted Swiss cheese, and sautéed mushrooms joined with mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Near all this goodness was a slice of a Kosher dill pickle. Complimenting the food, I enjoyed a Raspberry Coke from the Freestyle machine. Firehouse did a satisfactory job extinguishing the fire that was burning in my appetite. In the future when my appetite is on fire for a sub, I could see myself visiting a Firehouse to extinguish it.

Yelp
I recently went to the location on 9555 S Eastern Ave Ste 130, Las Vegas, NV 89123 and when receiving my order they forgot to give me my bowl of soup. I reminded the employee that I ordered a soup with my order and he rechecked my receipt and then gave me my soup. I opened up the soup cup and it wasn't even a full cup of soup. $5 for a few spoon fulls of soup. I went back inside to receive another bowl of soup that was full. Apparently, what the employee gave me the first time was the last of the soup because I had to wait 7 minutes for a new batch. I have had several issues with this store location.

Yelp
I ordered an Italian and kids meatball. They both were great! I wish the kid meatball had more sauce on it.

Yelp
These subs are superb. We ordered online delivery to our hotel on the strip, and the hot subs arrived hot, the cold sub arrived fresh. Everything was delicious as always.

Yelp
I have been to this Firehouse Subs twice and I have been impressed both times. The first time I got the build your own sub with Turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions and the second time I got the Philly cheese steak and both sandwiches and both sandwiches were delicious.
google avatar

Taylor B.

Yelp
Got my usual New York steamer w mayo, tomato, mushrooms and sautéed onions. Everything was perfect but I rarely have issues here anyway. She had the cheddar and beef brisket which was fire as well. I love this place.

anthony m.

Yelp
Should have turned around when we walked in and there were no other customers inside. Sandwiches weren't made correctly and the person taking the orders seemed confused when we didn't want things like tomato or lettuce on the sandwiches. They only come the way they are on the menu and no substitutions. Will never be going to this firehouse again.
google avatar

Sophia W.

Yelp
My first time here and the spicy Cajun chicken sandwich was delicious!! And the potato soup outstanding for a cold day like today. The staff was very cordial and suggested the sandwiches we ate. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Julio E.

Yelp
I just tried to eat the steak and provolone cheese sandwich and couldn't even get through it because it wasn't hot at all and I had picked it up within 10 minutes of ordering it. How did it get this cold in that time? The sun was $15 like I'm blown away how expensive and bad it was.

Yelp
"Meh. I've had better" sums up my experience at Firehouse Subs. I dined here to support a UNLV student organization fundraiser with my better half. To start with, the cashier was impatient with us and could have been much friendlier. This was our second time at a Firehouse Subs location and we're still trying to figure out the menu, pal. VEGGIE SUB ($6.39): I added mushrooms (less than $1) and requested that my sub not come with any dressing or oil/vinegars. The cashier looked at me and sighed, "Yeah. It only comes with that if you ask for it". Okay...I get my sub and there it is. Whatever dressing/vinegar they put on these subs - it sucks. It makes the sub taste extremely bitter. No bueno. And no, I didn't ask them to fix it. I took two bites and then pushed my plate away in disappointment. I ended up going next door to Baja's Grill afterwards. 1/5 HOOK AND LADDER HOT SUB ($8.49): After a recommendation from the cashier, my husband ordered this popular sub. My husband loved it. At least one of us enjoyed our meal! 4/5 Worth a Return Visit? I will never order the veggie sub again! Which leaves me with 2 options: 1) a salad - nope 2) a grilled cheese kid's meal - maybe. I'm just really not of fan of bitter dressing and the grilled veggies inside the sub. As a vegetarian, I prefer sub places that offer a faux meat substitute (Subway and Capriotti's). Our total bill came to $19, and I feel like there are a million other places I could eat at for that price and be much happier. However, I have a feeling I'll be back for another fundraiser. I hope they let adults get kid's meals. Who knows? Maybe their grilled cheese will win me over. YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2015: #78

Yelp
We ate here on 4/16/23. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. It was refreshing to order from someone so helpful and competent. Our order was completed accurately and quick. Not bad for a nice little Saturday.

Yelp
Firehouse subs sets the example for how to successfully run a fast food sandwich joint. Attributes: Affordable, varied menu, friendly staff and clean store are what differentiates them from others in the submarine sandwich market.
google avatar

Curtis L.

Yelp
I did a previous review and gave five stars, I ordered again from Postmates and I must say, I have to give it another five stars! Food was delicious, looked fantastic, seemed like they took their time making sure it was presentable. It arrived quick. But this time I will post a picture!!! This picture looks delicious and is the actual photo I took before I ate it all at one sitting!!! This location is on point can't speak for the others but this location is great!!!! Thank you again

tanna c.

Yelp
I am a big lover for firehouse subs but this experience makes me never want to go back! First of all the ran up my sandwich wrong. Thank goodness I checked the receipt and asked for them to correct it. The employee tried arguing with me on what I ordered ! Then when the sandwich came out wrong they were extremely rude when I was very polite and was just asking for mayo! I could even hear the employees talking about me and I found it very offensive and rude. will not being good back to this location until the customer service is improved.
google avatar

Rom S.

Yelp
I love the brisket sandwich, it is so good, the tasty smoked brisket, the warm Cheddar, the toasted bread. Man this sandwich is my winner for a while now, I can't deny that the staff is super nice and friendly, always joking around make you feel welcome. The place is clean and organized and the team making those sandwiches, to die for. Love the fire Ouse sub I recommend this place and you should try the brisket sandwich.

Tracey K.

Yelp
Update - The store owner has since contacted me and refunded my money. Thank you I got sandwiches to go and when I got home and tried to eat it there was so much mayonnaise on it I had to throw it away. My daughters was the same. The appearance of the food just showed a complete lack of pride and absolutely no quality control. So very disappointed. The person making our food also answered the phone and played with her hair and did not change gloves. I wouldn't even give this one start.
google avatar

Antonio J.

Yelp
This is probably not one of the best Firehouse Subs locations, I ordered a Italian sub which was super cold. Hope they can get it together. SMH
google avatar

Lyn Y.

Yelp
It was my first time trying this place. Pretty good portions and the meatball mozzarella was really good especially compared to subway. I also liked that they have the coke freestyle machine . Only problem was the employees were acting immature . I'd go back but to a different location
google avatar

Yelp
Let me tell you something this location is just FANTASTIC!! Amber was on top of my order and food from the moment I walked in! Her calm and kind personality made me feel so comfortable while eating here. Thank you for providing phenomenal customer service while handling online orders and guests on the food. It really meant a lot to have someone care so much! And the manager Risha is an angel! This woman is such a hard worker I could tell in the short time I was there. She was cleaning while helping Amber and I was truly impressed. Most managers do not clean, dust, and mop they allow staff beneath them to do so but Risha greeted me and dropped off my food right after she was hustling around the store. I just saw this location is by far one of the BEST I've ever been to. Thank you Firehouse Subs for hiring great and memorable staff members like Risha & Amber! They deserve a raise!!
google avatar

Alice M.

Yelp
Oh man this place is amazing! Everything on the sandwich is so fresh, and the bread is so freakin soft! Eat in or take away, best sandwich in town hands down. They have one of those new fangled soda machines here, so you don't have to have soda! Woot, woot! This location is a little small, but it is super clean and the staff is friendly, and they fix up a really delicious sami.. I eat half of the sandwich here and the other half at the library when I'm studying... Yes, get your self in here!

Yelp
Ok went to jimmy johns and Firehouse subs to see who's tuna sandwich is better. (For my taste) I know your thinking who goes to firehouse for tuna? This guy does. Plus the lady working the counter was like "odd two people ordered tuna today." They both cost about the same. Ok first off lets go by how fast food came out. Jimmy johns wins. those dudes pump those things out like nobody's business. I pay, and boom sandwich in hand. Firehouse I had to wait a bit longer but still didn't take too long. Taste is a toss up. I preferred the actual tuna in the jimmy johns. It had more crunch from the veggies. Now firehouses one held up better because the bread is softer. I feel like my teeth are not sharp enough to bite thou jimmy johns bread sometimes. And when my teeth finally get thou delicious bread, it decides to leak white fluid that will smell and look like all sorts of body fluid. (You take ur pick.... They all dry white....) It's hard to pick a winner because I want to say the flavor is better on the JJ, but I ate more of firehouses. Just because it was easier to eat . I don't want to go about my day smelling like tuna. I'm can't tell you why but i am leaning to jimmy johns don't know why. But still both are leaps and bounds better than subway. Time to go find a breath mint to wash down the shame that is this review. Do people even read these?
google avatar

Kimberly L.

Yelp
Been to other locations and this one was ehh, seemed very unprofessional how they handled online orders. The cashier seemed like she wanted to clock out already, the sandwich was the only thing that made this three stars
google avatar

Summer E.

Yelp
Cool location, takes a while to get your order but they're always really busy. It's a great place to have lunch with some friends and hang out. Food quality is superb, they've never once been out of any ingredients, the staff are nice and friendly.
google avatar

Sandy G.

Yelp
We've ordered from firehouse subs several times using delivery. Their subs are very good for the las vegas area. The orders are always correct. The sandwiches are fresh made with quality ingredients. We will order from here again.
google avatar

Candy D.

Yelp
I love Firehouse! Each time I would come into this location the store manager would always be upbeat and attentive with your order. There were a couple of times when I came in for a fundraiser event and although they were busy they had consistent and quick customer service. Check-in for the student special and when you show your student ID you'll get a free drink. The top three subs that I usually order are Brisket and Cheddar Cheese, Firehouse Meatball, and Steak and Cheese subs. All three are delicious and savory and portioning is pretty enough to leave you satisfied. Depending on if they are busy and how staffed they are then you would get your food as quick as 10 minutes but it could take loner if there's like two of them working.
google avatar

Jeremy H.

Yelp
This was my first Firehouse, and man, I'm kinda taken with the basic roast beef sandwich. Instead of just slapping flaps of roast beef on they kinda chop and mince the meat up in a unique way. Improves the experience, I feel. Served warm on wheat with everything (plus full pickle spear) and Jimmy John's has some serious competition, especially at a $5 price point (sign says that's a limited time promotion but it's been going on for some time now). Rest of the menu looks good and doesn't cost much more but I haven't tried anything but the turkey, which was solid but didn't hook me like the roast beef did. Almost never busy, either ... seems like they're always more busy with catering orders than with people walking in

Laura M.

Yelp
Very upset... the reason I went to Firehouse instead of Jersey Mike's was for the pickle. I told her that at the cash register. I got my food and drive all the way home to find NO PICKLE! I will not be returning to this location.
google avatar

Dee J.

Yelp
Just because it's New Years does not give excuse to raise their $4.99 sub to another $1. I'm not coming back here.
google avatar

Rich S.

Yelp
Being fairly experienced in the culinary field, I would say I would be surprised if this place doesn't close soon. I was drawn in with the 4.99 sandwich special. Being that everything else in the local area averages 7-8 for an entree, I was looking to save a buck. Mistake. The place is a little dirty for being very slow day. It had a weird smell inside like rotting food. I'm assuming the place is losing lots of business because so many other new places popping up in the area that are fresher, cleaner, same price, and more tantalizing to the taste buds. Subs are kind of plain, in my opinion. So, the only reason I went here was for the price but the 4.99 sign is deceiving. I admit, I was fooled because subway has the same size sub for LESS, so, I assumed I would be getting something more for that price. Nope. And, the meal deal ( chips and a drink ) hit me in the gut when the total came to be 8.59. Really!? A large drink that I can refill myself and a bag of air for 4 dollars more. Robbery. There's nothing that ruins a meal than feeling like it's overpriced. And, being surprised at the last second is even more of a hit. Ugh. But, I was hoping the sub would knock my socks off so I held my breath even though I've been here before and knew it wouldn't. Honestly, it's decent because it's a warmed sub that's full of meat but I really hate being deceived at the register. I took my cup and went to the mega selection touch screen soda machine only to find that there really isn't a lot of choices like the other fountain machines have but I did notice that they have a signature lime berry drink...the only problem? The limes in the bin were all rotten and when I opened the lid, the smell of rotting citrus hit me like a Mike Tyson uppercut. There are directions ON THE DRINK MACHINE that specifically say 'add lime to flavor.' How can you when they are rotten? The server does bring the food out, which is nice but I'm very capable of picking it up at the counter if its gonna be 4 bucks extra for that. And, giving the extra large drink when I'm eating in doesn't help either. Personally, I don't even like a lot of drink when I'm eating because it uses up space in my stomach that I'm saving for substance. I might've stayed longer after I finished eating but that weird smell I couldn't get over. The fact that they give me the big cup kind of indicates to me that they know people feel robbed but...they do it anyways. Bad call in my opinion. There are just too many other good places around. The location isn't that great. And there's really no reason I can see to go through all of the other great places to go here so, like I said, I'll be surprised if this place doesn't close soon. Also, the cashier asked if I wanted to give my change to donate. When I said no, it's almost like she was annoyed by that. Makes me wonder where the change actually goes. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 is because, SUPPOSEDLY, they support first responders...if they are, that's great but maybe focus on staying afloat before doing that.
google avatar

Itso V.

Yelp
The service was good and sandwich was great. The environment was very diverse. It was a combination of many different types of people. The employees were a bit unprofessional in the sense of communicating with one another in front of guests but overall, it was a nice experience.
google avatar

Savage B.

Yelp
I like to stop in here and pick up something when i have to work a double, Subs are filling and great for later. The workers there are friendly and will greet you with smile. Just stop here if you are thinking sandwiches way better the quiznos and subway. My favorite here is the brisket but the roast beef and meatball are good as well.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
REALLY REALLY REALLY dissapointed. Got here and went through the line, ordered my food then sat down for a while. A looonnnggg while. I got up after getting impatient to check how much longer until my food will be ready. They said 30 more minutes. ARE YOU SERIOUS. Maybe if this place didnt have only 3 employees working during primetime lunch time when there is a convention center down the street filled with 14,000 people then it might have been just a little faster. Never coming here again, such an inconvenience on time. If you want to be waiting an hour for one sandwhich then this is the place for you, if not then just go to subway or in-n-out where they are always ready for quick n easy service. Never coming here again. Update: the food was great. Will come back in the future just hopefully not while theres an event going on though
google avatar

Ellie M.

Yelp
Good sandwiches, quick service. I get a turkey bacon ranch, he gets the brisket sandwich. Always excellent. Sometimes sandwiches get sloppy, get a side of the house hot sauce with it.

Charlie S.

Yelp
Sloppiest sandwich ive ever eaten, wont be coming back to this location. Chop your brisket like every other firehouse sub in the city.
google avatar

Tasha S.

Yelp
had the steak and cheese sandwich. it was kinda salty, but the bread was very good and soft. may give it another try.
google avatar

Joshua C.

Yelp
When I tell my co workers let's go to My Firehouse they always think I am funny until I walk in and I am greeted by a wonderful staff that know my name and order. I have been going there since they opened. I have met the owners and let me tell you they are awesome. They set the bar high for their employees in keeping the place clean and delivering great food. Mind you this is practically attached to my University UNLV. So go rebels and support this local business that is just a small hike to get to. This is a great location and Firehouse uses excellent meats in their sandwiches. If you want a hot Sub this is definitely one of my favorite places.
google avatar

E H.

Yelp
There are a lot of great choices for lunch in the UNLV area, it's hard not to find yourself going to the same dining spots over and over. Firehouse is usually an every other week or so lunch spot, and it never disappoints. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. The food is served fast as can be expected in a busy lunch time restaurant. Even with all the traffic in doors, the food is delivered direct to your table and staff checks on you and takes away your trays. I will continue to keep this firehouse on my lunch rotation.

Yelp
OMG, talk about one of the perfect sandwiches! My family and I usually stop in before the Rebel games and grab a bite to eat. If you want a really good sandwich, stop in here. Right when you walk in, "Welcome to Firehouse!" Oh, why thank you! Sure I'll order a sandwich. Walk up and they are super friendly. What you want is what you get. My order is always different from what is described, but is still really good. I love the peppers in my sandwich. The melted cheese, with the warm, toasted bread. Goodness! Soo delicious. Ratios are on. After eating mine, I always want more. My stomach says no, but my taste buds are telling me yes!

Yelp
Firehouse subs always delivers on excellent sub sandwiches, but that's not why I'm writing this now. Jacob, who took my order, is the type of person that makes the experience. He is the reason I'll keep going to Firehouse Subs. We interacted for maybe 30 seconds, and in 30 seconds I was compelled to come write this. From his eye contact, to his genuine demeanor, this guy personifies incredible guest service. I hope Firehouse helps him climb the corporate ladder before they lose him to another company who realises he's special. Keep being great and thanks again Jacob!
