The food is good but for what it is it’s expensive.
The corn rib entree was packed with flavour for sure. I had the pork belly, lamb and the octopus skewers and they were all packed with flavour and cooked well. The iceberg lettuce salad added a nice freshness.
Absolutely zero vibe in the upstairs area. I was seated all by myself and told the downstairs was booked although when walking through it was empty and when I left all the tables were empty except for three seats at the bar. When I mentioned it, a while later I was told a place at the chefs table opened up. But once people are settled, what’s the point in moving and trudging up and down step stairs that are super sketchy? I feel like this needs to be mentioned on the booking or the website especially for people that may be a little older or have difficulty navigating stairs. The whole seating was just weird the areas are mismatched - bar area and walkway is slick modern, the seating and tables are a mix of modern and French country bistro. And the carpet just makes the place feel run down and worn, the whole aesthetic is all over the place.
Overall it’s the food is good but pricey. The service was fine, server was sweet but a bit pushy, over checking if I wanted to order more food or drinks. The vibe is low upstairs, seats are uncomfortable (maybe the booth / bench is better). Music a bit too loud. Downstairs and the bar section looked much more slick and cool. I feel like this is a one and done situ as no matter how tasty the food is, if the atmosphere is lacking it’s hard to justify a repeat visit.
