Highlights

Fireside is a cozy, mid-century steakhouse dishing out flavors from the Midwest, like fried walleye and hearty prime rib, all in a charming, rustic space.

Fireside Burien Review - Burien - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Suppose you have super cool Midwest relatives who are great cooks, but also happen to be interior designers. Fireside would be their happy place. The walls of this mid-century-inspired spot are covered with warm wood accents, taxidermy, and vintage beer signs, and the menu matches the vibe. Fireside serves Midwest classics like tater tot hot dish, or fried walleye coated in Ritz cracker crumbs, which comes in either sandwich or basket form. And while the smashburgers could have more char, they’re solid anytime, and we’re fans of the Oklahoma onion version. If you’re not hungry, just sit at the bar and order a Minnesota Mule." - Nate Watters

This place is a gem! It's old charm. Feels cozy and warm. Serves fresh salad with homemade dressings, steak was tender and wonderfully flavorful, sides were hot and tasty. Dining at it's best. Not too fancy, but not too casual. It's a little bit pricey, but, worth a once in while experience! Will definitely visit again when I'm the area. The only negative is their hours. They are only open Friday and Saturday evenings.

Service was great. We had the fried pickles for an appetizer and they were some of the best I’ve had. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. Then came the prime rib. Talk about a huge disappointment, I ordered MR which it was cooked correctly. It had zero flavor, appearance was a dull gray and a slight pink. When I cut into it it had so much gristle it was a chore to just cut a piece and chewing it was horrible. I ended up leaving more than half on my plate. I love prime rib and order it at restaurants that offer it, this was the most expensive along with the worst nI’ve ever had period. The prime rib at Texas Roadhouse is 10x’s better and half the price. We won’t be back.

Was looking forward to a nice dinner. Ordered the Filet. Well done. Looked well done. It was well done around the edges. But the middle was red. I asked that it be recooked to well done. They took it back- someone other than the server brought it back- it looked like it had been steamed and charred. It was literally wet. She didn’t wait for me to check it. But when I did it was still definitely red. I showed it to the server- Hanna - and she just said sorry about that. That’s it. On another note the peach Melba was delicious. But we will not be going back and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else either.

Been going for years. Special occasions or just a nice dinner! Gary is always friendly and the staff are lovely. Of course the food and drinks are always top notch!

Our visit was on a Saturday, we arrived just before opening. The dogs (2) needed some coaching to get out of the driveway. As expected we were seated immediately. My wife had the Moscato and I had a Shiner bock. Both were as anticipated. The bread served, as previously noted, seemed fried and overly seasoned with garlic. My wife ordered the Teriyaki chicken and I had the filet. We had a Fireside salad with the meals and we each had loaded baked potatoes. We liked the salad, served family style, although wished there had been onions in it My steak instead of being seared was charred/burnt and crusty while being perfect on the inside, not my preference. My wife was satisfied with her chicken and rice. Sadly, we were too full to order dessert (as usual). The service was very good and pulls the overall rating up.

Our server was wonderful! The atmosphere is nice. I'm not a fan of them placing paper, resembling a hospital bed cover, over a nice black tablecloth. The food was really good. All in all, it was a great experience.

Drove about 4 hours to come gamble decided to get away from all the hustle and bustle to find good down home cooking. We found here. We are so glad we decided to stop in. The prime rib was delicious the lobster was the best I’ve had in a very long time I travel all over the place chasing lobster. The ribeye was fantastic as well as the baked potato casserole. The homemade croutons I could do with out simply just offer up your wonderful rolls and ditch the croutons. My only complaint if you have a nice establishment fantastic food stop cheaping out with the salt and pepper shakers buy the nice fresh cracked pepper grinders and salt grinders. That one change could easily push your establishment to the next level. Crème brûlée would be a fantastic dessert to add to your dessert menu. Other than that great place to go we will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family and if we come back to the area we will be back.

Neat little rustic place. Don’t seem to take reservations but if your a regular you may have a standing one. Hmm. Able to get a drink at the bar while you wait. Friendly staff. Good food. Crab cake was good for being inland. Salad was a salad. Prime rib was good not great. Baked potato was ok. Filet was great. A little loud and not an intimate setting as hoped. 4 stars for Ardmore, 3 for any where else.
