"No dining experience has Swiss ski chalet energy quite like a four-course meal at Deer Valley’s Empire Canyon Lodge. Located at 8,300 feet, you can watch skiers zoom down the famous corduroy-textured, groomed runs as you enjoy dishes served from stone fireplaces. Reserve a table early during the winter season winter season of December to April to dine on stews, cured meats, and warm raclette cheese. If you want to go full-out winter fantasy like you’ve just stepped through a wardrobe and now a nice woman who looks like Tilda Swinton is offering you treats, book a snowshoe trek to hike to the lodge. Visited this lovely establishment on Valentine’s Day for a unique experience. The dining room is log cabin theme with large wood floor to ceiling log decor. Giant fireplaces crackle and soft music is perfectly regulated. Your dining experience is interactive and your attendant guides you through and tells you how to collect your four courses from each of the fireplace stations. This is an exceptional experience, a must try if you are able. The food is Swiss alps fare in nature with carved meats, stews, salads, soups, and dessert. Moderation is a must as there are many delectable treats on offer.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Fireside Dining, and it was truly unforgettable. From start to finish, everything was meticulously planned and executed, making the month-long wait for our reservation absolutely worth it. The experience began with an interactive and delightful cheese tasting, featuring perfectly melted selections by the fire. The warmth of the fire paired with the rich, gooey cheese was an indulgent start to the evening. We then moved on to the second section, where a variety of fire-roasted meats were served. Each bite was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. It was clear that a lot of care had gone into both the preparation and presentation. The final section was a culinary highlight. Featuring steak options and lamb cooked to absolute perfection, this course was a testament to the restaurant’s expertise in fine dining. The tender, well-seasoned meats and the overall ambiance created an experience that was nothing short of magical. The atmosphere of Fireside Dining is as noteworthy as the food itself. Sitting by the fire while enjoying a progression of dishes was not just a meal. It was an experience. The warmth, the cozy setting, and the outstanding service tied everything together seamlessly. This is one of those rare places where the dining experience feels special, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something unique and memorable. Fireside Dining is not just a restaurant; it’s an adventure for the senses. Five stars!

Ive come here for a few years now and between the quality of the food and service given by Jules and John combined to deliver a truly 5 star dining experience. The second time we came here they hadn't been serving the apple pie, Jules notified the manager and brought us each a plate out. They went above and beyond and were much appreciated. Will be back !

This is basically an all you can eat buffet with excellent food. Mostly meat but a vegetarian can find enough to be way more than full. The food was great. The drinks were pricey. It’s a relaxing dinner

Google
Really glad I was able to get a reservation for Fireside Dining a week before. A bit of a drive up to the restaurant, but well worth it as we are staying on the east side of deer valley. A great ambience and experience, really recommend trying this place for a special night out. Everything was cooked well and great quality. Make sure to get the raclette cheese sitting by the fire. It’s not as good when it hardens. We got 3 rounds of this. $117pp for an all you can eat experience. Coat check and valet is complimentary.

Expensive but worth it. Served as a four course buffet, starting with a melted cheese on a plate as the appetizer. Service was excellent. The moment we finished, plates were removed so that we could start on the next course.

If you are looking for a deluxe buffet that offers a Swiss Fare cuisine that is away from Main Street eateries where you getting are you will be seated in more of a restaurant atmosphere served at each station with a more decadent option, then this is it. You are at a buffet but you don’t feel as if it is one. You are seated and served your drinks each station offers different options and experiences. You will be served at most stations. The service and experience is top notch and the atmosphere is outstanding. We love the Raclette and the roasted meats options. I think desert could be better options but not bad. I would say to really get your moneys worth go early and take your time. We have been twice so far. This time the food was a bit salty but overall great. Last time there was too many gamey options. We definitely recommend trying it out. Pricey for a buffet but the quality is worth it.

Yelp
Staff was nice and the lodge was very cozy, but I was expecting a fine dining experience (for the price it was asking) instead I got a mediocre buffet. To summarize the experience, the cheese and charcuterie meat was good; but everything that involved cooking was terrible. Staff tried to hype me up by saying that they do this interactive dinning experience... but really it's just a buffet. Would not recommend for the time it takes to get there, the terrible quality of food and the insane price you pay.

Jill A.

Yelp
We had an incredible meal here just as they were closing for the season. This was a group event so we did not have to pay for it individually. The food was fantastic but you are definitely eating a ski area cafeteria no matter how fancy they tried to decorate the tables. There's plenty of food in it beautiful array, where there is something for everyone to eat. Everything was delicious from the roasted vegetables and raclette to the prime rib and chocolate fondue. This is served buffet style, all you can eat but will run you close to $100 per person. If you have this kind of money to spend you worth it.

Rachel L.

Yelp
Finally came back to eat here with my family after 5 years and it did not disappoint. Such a great ambiance and delicious food and service! You're paying for the experience and it's definitely a cool experience if you've never done it before! Order of my meal 1. Cheese plate + charcuterie meats 2. Salad & soups & stews & salmon 3. More cheese 4. Lamb & beef tenderloin 5. More cheese 6. DESSERT Left FULL. All of it was amazing and so good. So excited that we came back here and definitely coming back again.

Yelp
TLDR: Was highly recommended to me as a "Not to miss" place. As a foodie, I'd say that I'm really happy to have gone once but likely won't go back. This is a super unique all you can eat restaurant with four stations of food found "fireside" (all located next to their own fireplace). $110 per person for adults for food that I thought was ok but not worth the price. The experience is unique though which is why I'm still glad I did it. FOOD: - Station 1 (3.5/5): Warm Swiss Raclette. Wheels of cheese melting by the fireplace onto plates. Table nearby with an assortment of foods to dip in the melted cheese. Mostly meats, house made baguette, small potatoes, pickles, etc - Station 2 (4/5): Kind of a soup and salad station with some meats. Beautiful salads that I wanted to try all of. They also had a pomegranate and maple roast duck, salmon, veal and mushroom soup, and potatoes. - Station 3 (4/5): Meat station! Lamb and steak roasted beautifully by the fire. - Station 4 (4.5/5): Dessert station. Extra 0.5 points because for my birthday they brought out this delicious chocolate frosted cupcake that ended up being my favorite dessert of the entire night. This station was about milk chocolate, white chocolate, and caramel fondue with various desserts to dip into the fondue. They had fresh fruit, cookies, brownies, cake, and more to dip into the chocolate/caramel. -Station 5 (3.5/5): A bonus fifth station! Was a banana old fashioned flambé, burbon brown butter cake with caramel and banana slices on top. Was a little too sweet for me and I wish there was more banana flavor. ENVIRONMENT & AMBIANCE: - Located in the Montage hotel - Huge space with tables found in multiple different rooms by the four fireplaces. - Felt very much like a cabin in the woods from the decor to the fact that you could see horse drawn carriages out the window SERVICE: - Incredible service. Whenever we got up to get a new plate of food, they immediately came in and cleared the plates on our table. We never came back to a table full of used plates from the last station, which was so appreciated. Just make sure you're done before you get up! - Our server was very kind to us and patiently explained how the experience worked - There we're servers at each station who helped carve meat for you or serve you certain dishes. Definitely a high end all you can eat experience. OTHER: - Make a reservation early for an optimal time! Also only available Wednesday - Sunday

Yelp
That raclette melted cheese served with traditional potatoes, cornichons, grainy French mustard, fresh bread, and more is outstanding. What a way to bring the Alps to Utah! Dinner is served at four differently themed stations and everything was delicious. We just can't stop talking about the raclette cheese station and what a great meal this was. Thank you!

Craig Z.

Yelp
Bottom line: I really enjoyed the experience, and I would definitely recommend for someone that can afford about $200 per person, as long as you are excited about the set up, are generally and omnivore, and come hungry. Summary of the experience: - there are 5+ stations, a couple of the stations could really be counted as more than one, like there were really 2-3 dessert stations - half of the stations are self service - as of now, dinner is $110 + beverages + tax + tip - wine list is big, with a bunch of bottles $75-85, then the prices go up into the hundreds Assessments - service was pretty high touch, replacing silverware, clearing plates, and generally checking in; very nice too - quality of the food was good, not great, e.g. some yellowing arugula, not the highest grade meats, etc. - ambiance was nice, lodgey, of course - Tough to know what to think about the prices because you are in a very touristy area where everything is expensive Other notes: - Not a good place for vegetarians, and absolutely not right for vegans - Also not a good place for food allergies - Corkage was an option on the menu; I think $35 for the first bottle

Yelp
This is a "WOW" food experience. From lunch & après-ski stop transformed into an evening romantic dinner restaurant Each course is made fire side start with melted cheese with a large selection of condiments & sides to pair. Next course is in another room with Stew, veal and trout all made fireside. After that course you go into another room for fire roasted lamb. Delicious flavors and sides the pair. Dessert finale with selection of fondues and s'mores. It is like the theatre experience of deliciousness Lovely selection of wines from around the world. Service was outstanding. Must make reservations. We made reservations 1 month in advance and was given the 8:45pm time slot. We showed up at 8pm (early) and they were able to seat us (table of 5). Definitely a foodie destination stop. If you plan in advance you can have a horse drawn carriage take you for a tour around the area before or after dinner. It makes a magical winter wonderland experience.

Cristina M.

Yelp
This is pricey, but a must for every winter trip in Park City / Deer Valley. It's a fun experience and the food is perfect for cold weather!

Lori H.

Yelp
Always a family favorite when we are in Deer Valley. Super unique experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Not worth the price! It's a fun experience and my kids enjoyed it but the food is not great. You could have a better meal at pretty much any upscale Park City restaurant. First course: raclette was ok, it was cold and hard by the time I was back at the table Second course: soups and stews were good, salads as well. Nothing was amazing Third course: meat was fatty but tasted good Fourth course: dessert was not great. Chocolate was watery. All in all, underwhelming experience

Tuan H.

Yelp
We were very excited to try out Fireside Dining during our last ski trip visit in Park City. The reviews were pretty good and with a few French natives in our group were looking forward to some raclette! The excitement was short lived, as soon as we arrived we encountered a rather irritated valet, unfriendly and yelled at us to get out of the car. After entering the premises, the wait was short. We were escorted to our tables and they explained the process. A station at each fireplace, a salad bar and a dessert station. We all started with some cocktails. Nothing spectacular there. Not bad, but not worth the price. We started with the raclette. We were disappointed to see that they pre-slice the cheese and let it sit there in the plates by the fireplace. By the time you get your plate and go to the condiments and charcuterie bar your cheese is hard and stuck to the plate. The other stations were okay, the steak with chimmichuri sauce was the best part. The fish was very dry. The salad bar was decent. Dessert was good, they had a s'mores station that was popular. Service was great inside the restaurant. Unfortunately the food quality did not match the high price of this place.

Emily M.

Yelp
This experience is $90 a person and all you can eat. Typically Buffett style but due to Covid they bring you a little of everything in 4 courses. 1st course and 4th course are by far the best! Charcuterie with raclette cheese heated by the fire and desserts with dipping sauces. The in between courses had a variety's of soups, salads and meats. Honestly we didn't enjoy any of the meats that much. The trout was the best flavor but at first brought out to us very over cooked. We let the waiter know and he brought us a new order of it and it was much better the second time. The other meats and a lot of sides just lacked salt and seasoning. Kinda bland for the price you are paying, so that was a little disappointing. However it was a really nice concept. You can have as much of anything as you like. Just tell the waiter and they bring you out more. The waiter was super nice so it was still an enjoyable experience.

Rachel B.

Yelp
This is a uniquely fun dining experience. The restaurant is an upscale buffet that features fireside cooked cuisine. The star of the show is the giant wheel of melting cheese that the servers scrape onto your plate and the endless charcuterie items to go along with it. The salads are gourmet, and I recommend trying every one of them. The stews are decadent and rich. We loved the prime rib and lamb at the slicing station. If you have room left in your stomach, try the flambé s'mores. You will leave happy, cozy, and very full! Expect to spend over $100 per person. Also, the server for our table was very friendly and attentive.

Hannah J.

Yelp
For the money I wanted a better experience. I knew going into it that it would be buffet style which isn't exactly something I love when the meal is $90/person. The servers are still fairly attentive. The food itself was pretty average. The melted cheese is yummy but it cools quickly and does not maintain a liquid consistency for fondue. The meats were fatty but overall decent. My favorite part was the dessert the s'mores flambé they make their own marshmallows. That I can say was amazing. Otherwise I would probably pass in the future and go to a different spot in town.

Zareh S.

Yelp
Here's the good: it's a nice location and the views were pleasant. The server was excellent and really sold us on the food available for the evening. That's about it. Here's the bad: the food was so subpar and not even worth the price tag. I had two bites of the ribeye and it was so dry and rough and cold. The first course cheese was initially melted but cold and stuck to the plate by the time it was served. I've been to crappy buffets better than this place. Keep your money and go somewhere else in park city.

Lindsay B.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience dining at Fireside tonight. Yes, it's pricey, and the quality of the food doesn't *quite* match the dollars on the bill, but you're also paying for the service and the experience, which were excellent. Basically, there are 5 different mini buffet stations set up around the Empire Lodge (which is transformed from a crowded mid-mountain ski lodge to the refined Fireside Dining every evening - feat in and of itself) that you are free to graze at your leisure. They are: -Raclette with accoutrements (4/5) -Salads and soups (4/5) -First meats (3/5) -Second meats (hand-carved lamb and beef) (4/5) -Dessert fondue (3/5) Like I said, the food is good, but not amazing. The drinks and the service are very good, though. And I think that those things can often make or break a dining experience. Some other reviewers mentioned that the raclette was cold when they got it. Mine was still warm and perfectly delightful, if not *quite* as hot as it could have been. But that's what you get with a buffet - you sacrifice optimal timing for variety. I would say that everyone should try it for a memorable and enjoyable evening in Park City, but I don't feel the need to return to Fireside on every ski trip.

Ga.Utah Gal B.

Yelp
The ambiance is lovely, service outstanding, but honestly $50 for a corkage fee is an insult to any and all patrons. The idea of the dining stations is fun, but not one item of food was interesting or memorable. I have been coming to this restaurant for many years as a local. We would recommend to friends staying in the area, but unless KSL decides to add quality instead of quantity, we will not be joining you again, nor will we encourage our out of town friends to make a reservation. What a shame KSl to "nickel and dime" what was once a wonderful venue and delightful food experience.

Annette O.

Yelp
I am honestly shocked at all the positive reviews. I added on the sleigh ride before dinner @ $25 extra per person and it was a joke. They went around in a circle 3 times and it was less than 20 min. Not worth it. Dinner was basically a buffet next a hot fire. Food was super basic and not good. $200 per person was laughable. This place was not good.

Mark R.

Yelp
Omg what a great night of post ski dining! Best ever we went there and had the greatest time we ever had eating after skiing. Dinner was phenomenal.

Dana W.

Yelp
Y'all... I can't even explain what a once in a lifetime experience this was. Holy cow! The food was PHENOMENAL! We were unsure with the menu because there was what looked like SO many food options , but it's a tasting menu, so you get all of that food! It is brought out to the table family style so one big plate with lots of food! You get multiple items for each course. Please look at the pictures and see why I was so happy. We had a group of 7 and service was on point. It's pricey but when I say worth every penny..WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY and then some. With one glass of wine and dinner plus tip the meal came to $130 a person. Of all the food, most of it was amazing. A few items were just meh. The shrimp and grits were not good, as they were not cooked properly and basically inedible . The steak was fatty but there were SOOOO many good options, that a few bad apples were the least of my concern. All in all, this was probably the best dinner I have ever had in my life. We had a group of 7 and we all agreed that this was the highlight of our vacation weekend!!! I am not a dessert person, but oddly, the desert platter was my favorite course. They had 3 dipping sauces of white chocolate, dark chocolate and this buttery caramel sauce (which was my favorite part of the meal) and I was blown away. From start to finish it takes about 2 hours so plan accordingly... but for a fantastic meal and amazing views, this place was just the best experience I could have ever asked for for a 40th birthday.

Janice B.

Yelp
Fireside Dining is a place that you dream about. The ambiance is incredible and the wait staff are very professional and accommodating. I don't even know how many times we have been here in our 18 years of visiting Park City but I can tell you we go back as often as we can. The fireplaces are enormous and the food and the way they present it make it hard to resist. This past week we were joined by my husband's brother from Toronto, Canada and he was amazed by the experience of Fireside Dining. The warm Swiss Raclette cheese at the 1st fireplace is heaven and combined with all the goodies that compliment it so well it's a great start. Our server, Jules, was fantastic and helped me slip the 6 and 0 candles in my Brother in law's dessert. I also liked the way he recommended mixing the mashed potatoes from the 3rd fireplace with the short ribs from the 2nd fireplace. The 4th fireplace is chocolate fondue and this year they had an additional dessert station with specialty desserts. We had such a nice time and thanks to Jules we really impressed my Brother in law. See y'all next time!

Alexandra B.

Yelp
This place is so much fun! We went with my boyfriend's whole family and everyone raved about it. There are so many great options so make sure you pace yourself and do not skip out on the salads and soups - they are delicious. Also, sounds random, but the mustards at the first stations are fantastic. As noted by others, it is a tasting menu, so you can try anything you want! We also just loved the ambiance. We were near the windows and the snowy background was gorgeous. We could also see the first fireplace which was fun. Definitely try to go if you can!

Erin S.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. I was looking forward to it my entire week of my Utah vacation. It's $90 for four courses and all you can eat. Honestly, the first and fourth courses were the shining stars. The first course was charcuterie served with their raclette cheese. The cheese was delicious! It was cool to see them heat it right over the fire place. Most of the other items on the charcuterie board were delicious as well. The second and third courses were very hit or miss. Some things were delicious and others honestly weren't edible. I enjoyed one of the soups served and both salads served were okay, nothing spectacular. They had a really delicious polenta. However, the trout they served was not good. We informed the waiter and he was amazing and brought out a new batch of it. He even admitted that what we received was "old." At least the new serving of trout was fresh. For the meats, I only enjoyed the prime rib. The duck and lamb were inedible. My friend tried them both and couldn't even swallow them. The fourth course was amazing! Delicious fondue chocolates with many various dippers along with blood orange cake. It was all superb. All in all, 3/5 stars. The service - 5 stars. Every waiter we interacted with was amazing. The atmosphere - 5 stars. Who doesn't enjoy eating a meal next to a crackling fireplace?! The food overall - 2/5. For $90 (before tip), I would expect to enjoy most if not all of the food served. This was a nice experience but unfortunately I can't say I would come back on my next ski trip. If they offered a "cheese and chocolate only" menu, that would definitely be worth it!

Scott B.

Yelp
Fireside Dining provides a great dining experience! I highly recommend checking it out of you are making a vacation in the region! Be sure to make reservations as dining there is in high demand! Yessir, it's that good! I hate to call this place a buffet because it is really so much more, but when it comes down to it, in essence, it's a buffet. But, believe me, it is likely a buffet like you have never experienced before! Instead of a line of food served in industrial food chafers, Fireside features unique food stations positioned in front of giant fireplaces (some of the food is even prepared in those fireplaces). Each station has a server or two who are there to assist and inform you about the available selections. All the food is first-rate and yummy - and, because you can go back to each station as much as you want, you certainly won't leave hungry! On the night we went, the stations included: (a) raclette cheese station (slowly melted cheese scraped off a cheese wheel), which included accoutrements like dried meats, fresh vegetables, +; (b) soup and salad station with unique soups (their take on mushroom soup was one of the best I've had; (c) main & side dish station, which included grilled salmon, steak filets, veal stew, and potatoes; and (d) carving station with rack of lamb, pork loin, and a few sides (e.g., cranberry quinoa). As for service, it was great as well. The waiter was nice, attractive, and knowledgeable about all of the restaurant offerings.

Yelp
Four fireplaces cooking four courses Cheese fondue, roasts, chocolate ... something for everyone. Ambiance, delicious food, great service Fireside checks all of the boxes

Yelp
Dining to the sound track of a crackling fires made my day and possibly my entire week. The food was exceptional. Our waitress, Roberta went out of her way for our young friend with wheat and dairy allergies. The drinks were perfect. The highlights for me were Lamb T-bone, veal and mushroom stew, raclette, coconut curry soup with Lima beans, candied squash. A friend of ours was astounded when we mentioned the cost, but 2 minutes into his meal he said, I don't even care about the price tag anymore! Told u dude!!

Kevin S.

Yelp
Expensive but well worth it. Located in a beautiful setting on the slopes of Deer Valley, this restaurant did not disappoint. It is a fixed price and has 5 serving stations. Do not miss one of these. Go hungry to make room for everything. Raclette, meats( lamb, duck, pork, NY strip, amazing salads, desserts to dream about, and more.

Mark H.

Yelp
Really cool buffet style concept with different stations, each centered around a fireplace. The food was delicious and voluminous! Would highly recommend! My only minor nit was that there wasn't much kids fare. They will cook up grilled cheese or hot dogs for the kiddos but the server never mentioned this and by the time we figured out we could order kids stuff, we didn't get their food until pretty late in the meal. Normally would take a star off for that but the meal was exceptional enough that still giving it a 5 star. Also make sure to book reservation out as far as you can, Fireside books out fast. Overall would definitely recommend. Just make sure you come hungry and ready to eat!

Arpine T.

Yelp
The experience does not justify the cost. Our server and the drinks was fantastic however everything else was not. Anyone that plans on making a reservation I urge you not to and to go somewhere else. It is a 4 course "buffet" situation and it was explained to in a fancy way however the first course which was "imported" Swiss cheese was cold and hard and pre put on the plate. The second course was soup/salad and that was probably the most okay meal and the only thing I personally ate. I didn't even try the third course which was the "meat" station bc my husband did and it wouldn't even be something I feed our dog. and a lot of people around us agreed. The dessert station was the 4th station and that was nothing special either just some chocolate chip cookies and brownies. We asked to see the manager and she really didn't seem like she cared, however our waiter was great and they comped 15% but it was still a VERY overpriced meal for what we got. Definitely a rip off. I cant imagine these reviews are real since a lot of people around us felt the same way. Like one of my friends said "I wouldn't pay more than $20 for this Hometown buffet meal"

B O.

Yelp
We go hear everytime we are in park city or deer valley! So beautiful and the courses are always changing. Love that it's all over fire. Feels like the Alps! Servers have always been excellent and so Have the drinks!

Daniel D.

Yelp
Truly wonderful and warm dining experience at fireside You're greeted by warm crackling fires and friendly faces. Each room you enter revolves around a magnificent fireplace that serves not only as a wonderful heat source, but also as a delightful cooking vessel. The lodge itself, is wide open, warm and family friendly, the same can be said of the staff. You take your plate and travel to different rooms, again all adorned with fire places, where delicious meats, soups and cheese are all being kissed by the fire. Its hard not to get wrapped into the feeling you're on the French alps, especially when the horse drawn carriage awaits you outside to take in the glorious star show In the brilliant Utah sky. Sometimes a place is truly more than the sum of its parts, and this is that type of experience. If you've spent the day out on the slopes or are just looking for a unique dining experience you've come to the right place

Kate L.

Yelp
Wow, Fireside Dining is unlike anything I've ever experienced before -- and in the best way possible! First off: reservations are hard to come by. And this place is only open Wednesday through Saturday, so plan ahead! We managed to snag an 8:45 reservation for our party of eight, and not everyone was sold on the late time. But this ended up being our favorite meal of the entire trip! "Buffet-style" doesn't do this place justice, but in essence, that's what it is. You go around to the different stations organized by course and choose what you'd like. My personal favorites were the raclette, duck, and mashed potatoes, but everyone at my table had different opinions! Others loved the hunters stew, chickpea soup, and roasted lamb. The consensus was that everything was pretty darn amazing! And the fondue dessert -- with dark chocolate, white chocolate, AND caramel for dipping -- was straight up dreamy. I went up for seconds with zero shame. To note: some reviews mention that this place is BYOB, but they must have changed things recently! A footnote on the menu mentioned a $20 corkage fee per bottle, with a $40 fee starting at the third bottle. $20 was still cheaper than the wines on the menu, so we opted to drink a bottle we'd brought. But be forewarned that they now offer a wine menu! Also, this place is super gluten-free friendly, with "GF" marked on the menus at each station!

Came here for Valentines Day last year and had a fantastic experience. Loved the warm lodge feel and all of the different cuisines at each of the fireplaces. It's a lot of food so I would suggest taking small portions but a really fun dining experience.

Yelp
We enjoyed a wonderful multi course dinner tonight. Excellent service from every member of the staff. Courses are at different stations. First is raclette, delicious melted cheese with a variety of meats, bread, etc. Be sure to try the strawberry chutney, it was a top three for me. Next station was soups and salads. I liked everything I tried here with the Brussels sprouts bread salad being in my top three. The house made pickled beats were also delicious. Next was the hearth station. Here I tried the Hunter stew and the veal mushroom soup. Next was the carving station. I didn't try the lamb or tri tip but chose the spaghetti squash with pesto. Very good. Then we came to dessert. Two stations, one flambé bananas foster (the best thing I had tonight), and one melted chocolate with a variety of fruit and sweets to dunk. The blackberries in white chocolate were especially good. The was a great spot for a special night out. Recommend

Yelp
Pretty cool eatery for cheese and charcuterie trays in a four course style. So much food, it's impossible to eat everything. It's definitely a traditional and family event for those who enjoy eating together.

Yelp
4.5 Stars. The cocktail menu was lacking a little bit. However, the creativity and originality behind the concept of this restaurant was unique. When I retire, I want to come back and work at this restaurant for free...and be the guy in charge of the fire, who melts the cheese. I'm not sure if I actually ordered any specific item off the menu...but they just kept bringing out food (and I liked it). Woody (not from Toy Story) was a great waiter. I highly recommend this restaurant despite this being way too much food for 2 people. The amount of food served could have fed a small, Korean family for at least 3 days.

Yelp
Used to be special, now just overpriced. $110 per person and $25 glasses of wine. The food is good, but not $110 value. After going for over 15 years, would not go again.

Yelp
Very sub par considering the steep price tag. The heating unit we were seated next to was falling off the wall. The waiter commented on how much we eat and then proceeded to judge us when we asked for a box. Good thing bread, steak, and salads. And they got us in when I messed up our reservation. I don't recommend cocktails. Veryyyy overpriced. Wine was ehh. I've had much better. Overall I would recommend places downtown park city before this overpriced "bulk" food.

Yelp
Fireside Dining is a must-visit when in Park City or within any driving distance of Empire Canyon Lodge at Deer Valley. The menu is updated weekly, but generally always has a raclette and chocolate fireplace. When we visited, we enjoyed the buffet style assortment of foods, the raclette, polenta fries, legs of lamb and of course chocolate pots were unbelievable, it's such a unique experience to have a chef cooking on a live fire and enjoying the spoils. There is something about the roaring fires, horses roaming by the windows, and snow softly falling that makes this the ultimate ski experience.

Yelp
What a fantastic experience for the whole family. First and foremost, the food amazing. The hands down favorite at our table was the lamb. That said, everything was excellent and the atmosphere was one of a kind. Each fireplace was actually cooking the very food you were eating. There were so many options, you had to be careful to pace yourself because you did not want to fill up before you had a chance to try the s'mores flambé.

Yelp
A truly lovely experience eating by the hearths surrounded by powder white snow. Fireside Dining is a self-serve dining experience in which you walk from hearth to hearth and enjoy different food options, some of them cooked by the fireside. The raclette cheese, cooked by melting giant cheese wheels by the hearth is the star of the show, you will be enamored by its velvety flavor and how well it works alongside the beer infused mustard and strawberry compote. The soups, salads, fish, and meat options were quite sumptuous too- it was a bit hard to save room for dessert, but the flambé station and fondue are a must-try. I highly recommend this as a special experience with friends and family, it is something we all find memorable still.

Yelp
Experience was unique and food was really good. Not sure the price is worth it, especially with kids at $30 or $90 for my 12 year-old.

Yelp
All I have to say is WOW!!! I loved this dinner. Great variety of options, delicious food and drinks, polite and attentive service, overall amazing experience. A lot of food for the price and a must try if you frequent Deer Valley. Tried to return again this year but unfortunately the restaurant had to cancel all reservations our night due to weather concerns. Hopefully will be back next year!

Yelp
Great experience. Cheese logs melting by the fireside makes for great cheese fondue. Lamb legs roasting by the fire place. Lamb and venison were a bit overdone and lacked flavor. The duck was dry and overcooked. We had a great time dining here however there was not many options for our kid for the price.

Yelp
We loved it! We had a sleigh ride 15 min before our meal and Kendall was great. The experience was so fun and my kids loved the cheese station! I can't recommend it more. We will definitely make this a normal spot for dinner on our trips to Deer Valley.

Yelp
While it pains me to give a restaurant a one star review during dining, I would have offered this restaurant zero stars if it was possible. During my dinner, a very intoxicated diner at a nearby table repeatedly insulted and behaved in a disrespectful and demeaning manner to a Black waiter. He also shouted repeatedly, stumbled around the restaurant without a mask repeatedly, and yelled at other diners. Nonetheless, after his friends asked him to "take a quick nap," the restaurant let him return to his table. He immediately started shouting and reaching for wine glasses. Racism should never be condoned or forgiven. And disobeying a state-wise mask mandate is illegal. Fireside Dining should be shut down. I hope the Park City government does that. Until then, don't go here.

Yelp
We were very lucky to get a reservation at this restaurant. Both the meal and the ambiance were FABULOUS. Each fireplace is a host to a different course. Save room for the lamb. I was impressed by the head chef who took my dairy-free husband around to each station and told him what he could eat and what to avoid. That was excellent service and well-appreciated. We will definitely go back to this restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Yelp
Very fun experience! As of Dec. 2021 they're back to diners wandering to the different fireplaces (with masks on). Come hungry, take your time, and try a bit of everything. Don't skimp on the salads, the sides on the 2nd course were excellent, in addition to all of the great stuff at the fireplaces. The only negative was the 3x-4x markup on bottles of wine....I'm fine with a markup, but 3x+ was excessive. It looked like another table had done BYO?...I'd investigate that and corkage fees before going back, but I'd totally go back!

Yelp
5 stars for the experience, 4 stars for the food. Everyone coming to park city should experience fireside. Pros - friendly and attentive staff, very unique atmosphere, lots of food options, sled ride with the Belgians Anne and Belle, and cabin in the mountains feel was awesome. Cons - the meats were pretty good, but nothing that I would describe as "amazing". Overall, I rated 5 stars bc this is actually a 5 star experience. 2 adults with 2 glasses of wine each and a sled ride will run about 375 but totally worth it. Advice - if you do the sled ride, you can book it with your waiter and it's 40 bucks for up to 6 people. After the ride, you can come back and finish up your meal. Bring cash to tip for the sled ride. They can put the sled ride on the food bill but not the tip.
