Went with my husband's men's chorus, after a performance. They accommodated a dozen of us, with good service. Nice selection of food, and it was good. Friendly atmosphere. The group sang a song, and received great applause. I got Thai chicken kabobs and roasted cauliflower. Husband had thai short ribs.

Google
The entire rating is dedicated to food, which overall could use some improvement. My friend and I came to have a good time and overall we managed to do so, especially with the courtesy that our server was able to demonstrate. I will mainly elaborate on the food below. For the Asian fries, having boneless short rib on top of the fries was a good idea as it offered the option to have succulent meat on top of the fries. However, the thai sauce became too potent as I started finishing the fries on the top, and started dominating the taste, to the point that it became too sweet eventually. I think reducing the amount of sauce, or spreading the sauce around more, would help all the fries obtain that sweetness the sauce provides, and not make one part of the dish too much while another part not enough. I have had the Philly as well, along with onion rings as the side. The onion rings had way too much dough outside the onions, and one bite felt like I was mainly tasting fried dough. The best part about the sandwich was the bread, as it had an adequate amount of crunch along with a toasted taste. The roast beef was overall pretty good as well. The onion pieces were a bit too small, while the green pepper pieces were undercooked so they were a bit hard. The proolone cheese was all on top and unfortunately did not mesh with everything else in the sandwich, to the point that I actually was able to remove the cheese by itself away from the sandwich. I would love to see the cheese mixed within everything else to become an integral part of the sandwich instead. For the ice cream sandwich, the idea is great, as the cookies along with the ice cream offered two kinds of sweets. Letting it last for a bit longer before eating made it better because as the cookies softened, one pierce with the fork allowed my friend and me to eat both the cookie and the ice cream in one bite. I must also mention that the place can get very noisy in the evening. My friend and I went on a Friday evening at around 7:30pm and it was very loud. This is just neutral information and something for people who intend to go there consider what vibe they are looking for.

To be fair, I only had pizza, and the menu was quite expansive. That being said, the pizza was stellar! I got the Kiss My Pizza--excellent. Everything else on the menu looked solid, as did the specials (I'm a sucker for pesto pasta, but I'll save that for another trip!). The service was hit-and-miss... The staff overall seemed friendly and helpful, but our server was rather rude and aggressive in her tone; my dad could have been kinder in his tone too--but he's not an employee. The interior of the space is really well-curated and decorated, but it was also incredibly loud. It was difficult to have a conversation right next to each other. We moved outside, and it was much nicer. The patio is not very big (the chairs are, however, and that made it extra tight), but it was still nice. With so many pizza places nearby, I can see why they have such an expansive menu--just trying to compete. At the same time, when you do pizza really well, stick with that!

We got a couple of pizzas and they were pretty good! I would have liked more goat cheese on the one but it was overall good. It’s a cute spot too! The fire outside was amazing on a chilly night. I do want to say that the staff was absolutely amazing. One server recognized that my daughter (toddler) was about to crash out and on the verge of being hangry, and she so kindly brought over a little cup of pickles and snacky things for her. I can’t remember her name and feel terrible for that, but I sincerely want to thank her for going above and beyond in that moment! We will absolutely go back!

Google
We have been going there for a couple of years ever since we discovered this little gem. Everything we have ever ordered on the menu is great. The PIZZA AMAZING!! I went there today to pick up a “to go” Pizza for the first and dropped it on the way to my car. They were kind enough to remake the pizza for me and offer to carry it to my car. I was grateful and embarrassed. Don’t miss out on this place

Google
This place is so loud, fine though. Saw the reviews mentioning how great this thin crust pizza is. The pizza was delicious, but it is cooked on cardboard so the crust didn't cook completely and stuck to the cardboard. Not worth coming back. It's a pizza place that I took my leftover half pizza home in one of those Styrofoam containers. Really expected better all around.

Google
We needed to be in and out in 45 minutes. We asked and they said they could do it if we ordered quickly. We did although it was hard because the menu had so many delicious choices. Waitress was attentive, food came out in our time frame not too quickly so we knew it wasn't rushed and was perfect temp. I got the Asian salad with chicken and my.friend the chicken club with fries. So good!!! I will be back for sure. It was quaint, clean, easy to get to, near 35W. I will say it gets loud inside when it's full and it was so, but they had outside seating where it was much quieter. So if noise is a factor that would be a consideration. I didn't mind the hustle bustle felt.like a New York Deli which was fun. We made it out in 45 minutes FYI

I really enjoy the atmosphere at this place. Very cozy!! I definitely recommend this place. The food is good quality too. We tried the Fireside special pizza and made our own pizza. Both were very good. Our server was also great. Extremely friendly, yet professional.

Yelp
I met up with a friend for dinner and heard this place was good. Plus they had a nice patio. They have private small parking lot and some street side parking. We ordered some buffalo chicken wings, lightly battered cauliflowers with ranch and Alfredo pasta with chicken. We split the pasta dish into 2 since sit was a good portion. The buffalo wings were good and crispy. The battered cauliflower dipped into ranch was yummy. The Alfredo pasta was super delicious along with our garlic bread that came with it. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely come back to try other items from the menu!

Yelp
Everything I have gotten there has been great! Love the boneless chicken wings (Thai), chicken parm, spinach dip (the bread is amazing), cheese curds. Pizza is ehh I don't like the sauce, thin crust is good. Always busy inside! Small bar but restaurant also isn't large. Staff is always friendly. Nice outdoor seating available. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
Came back here because we were in the mood for pizza. We love the pepper pizza, but decided to try the calzone. Very tasty! Lots of cheese in that sucker. We tried the onion ring appetizer. I liked the batter, but it was burnt. And that was after waiting for another order after our first order fell on the floor! The onion rings were $15 and a little on the pricy side. Sad day for us The onion rings had some of the thinnest onion slices I've ever had in an onion ring. They look ginormous but it's all breading. I love onion rings and this was a disappointment. If you want some of the best onion rings head over to Mad Cow in Eagan. Friendly service at least.
google avatar

Jake M.

Yelp
The best local thin crust pizza! Always consistent and quick. Delightful toppings on pizza sourced locally. Crust is always crispy and "dry as a bone" - just as designed. The patio is nice and comfy, too, on a good day.
google avatar

Christina P.

Yelp
Great food, great service. We ordered a pizza and cheesy bread, and the cheesy bread is TDF! Would go back just for that! Need to go back when the patio is open, as it looked inviting, even in the winter.

Yelp
Great selection of food. Pizza is always a good go to. We go on Saturdays early to miss crowds. Pizzas always awesome, sandwiches are solid and the service is friendly and attentive. They also remember you when you come back. This recent trip tried the goat cheese pepperoni pizza and it was fantastic. The buffalo mac and cheese is delicious. I could go on. The only minor complaint is that the tables for 4 are pretty small if you order a pizza- they give you a stand to save table space which helps but still tight if others order different dishes along with a pizza

Yelp
Really good pizza! It was quite busy on a Sunday for dine-in. Unfortunately, the experience of calling in for my take out order was less than ideal. Wanted to avoid ordering through an app, but for this restaurant, I do recommend using an app, or stick to dining in. When phoning in, the usual questions/confirmations for a take out order were not done (confirming the items of the order, estimated pick up time, what I owe for the order). In fact, when I asked to confirm the items in the order, it was wrong, twice! Glad I confirmed and had it corrected. However, the pizza order was still wrong when we brought it home to eat. They definitely need to refine this process if they are going to offer call-in take out orders.

Yelp
Fairly forgeable pizza shop with interesting decor. I will premise with this review that we did stop by with a large group of about 12ish? people. That being said, the experience was underwhelming. The place was understaffed, it took quite some time to get our drink, food orders, and checks. I think it was 2 people running FoH with our table and like 9 others. They were friendly and had a smile on their face, but you could tell it was a lot of hustling and bustling to get things done. I walked by here, but there's parking out front and some patio seating as well. It does face the main road, so personally was not partial to sit out since the traffic was zipping past. I decided to split a large buffalo chicken ranch pizza with a friend and was disappointed. The pizza size was good, but the flavor was very lackluster. Chicken quality was okay. The cheese was very bland. And the most important part, imho, the crust was ... just there. We asked others in our party about their food and came to the same opinion. I had a slice of the plain cheese pizza, and it word frozen comes to mind, minus a friendly Snowman. I really want to like the place since the decor makes it interesting, but being a foodie, flavor comes first. And while the decor was unique, it wasn't really integrated with the dining experience either.

Yelp
Seth took care of us and we loved him!! Fantastic bartender. Very personable and was up to our needs at all times.

Yelp
Great neighborhood place, even better since they re launched as the foundry. A family favorite for take out, always see happy customers having a great time and enjoying the fun atmosphere. Bar is always lively, bartender is an institution! Consistently plus level food, we ordering take out tonight and I'm so excited I writing this :)

Yelp
Never have a bad meal. I absolutely LOVE the mules!!!! Absolutely. We have had the Kentucky, Midwest, Irish whisky and Carribean. I can't get enough of them. I've also never had a bad meal either. Everything we get we are super happy with. We love going on Mondays. All day 2 for 1. Going around 8-8:30 because they are open until 11, is great too! Not a lot of people and the parking is great? Front of the restaurant! When it's summer it's great because being outside is perfect. Speaking as an O positive blood type, the mosquitos love us, and I don't feel ANY there! I'd be inside of I did. Very romantical if you go there with your husband on date night. I love this place!!!

Yelp
Another winner. Love this cozy neighborhood place! Next time I'm sitting outside by the fire pit. Ahi tuna salad, pan fried walleye with salad and garlic mash, and their specialty Asian short ribs which were awesome. Great service and a happy place to spend an evening.

Yelp
Clean awesome service We had pizza half cheeseburger half fireside special. Oh goodness so yummy. Then grabbed spaghetti and meatball to go. Just to compare from years before. Yummy so good all the way around

Yelp
I have driven past this place so many times - I am glad I finally walked in! The sandwich I ordered was fantastic! Shrimp PO boy! The server was professional and spot on! The atmosphere was welcoming and clean. It feels like a locals place... The one hiccup- is the bathroom- I am a man and and the men's room is a disaster! First off the urinal is not Correct! When you pee in it in the back splash got all over me! GROSS! Also the bathroom is clearly for only 1 person and it DOESNT LOCK! Wtf?!?! Go there if you don't have to use the restroom! The food was fabulous so this will be a takeout spot for me only - too bad for the people who sit at the bar... walking out with pee on yourself sucks

Yelp
This is a somewhat small place that specializes in pizza and drinks. I was surprised to find lunch specials and a full menu of other offerings as well. As other reviewers have said, they definitely use salt in their dishes. If you are sensitive to it, be careful what you order. I personally love salty food so I enjoyed everything I had. The server was personable and the prices weren't too high. Def give it a try if you're in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great little place! Fun decor great atmosphere and great food. What else could you ask for? Oh, and great service! With small-town feel and inviting ambiance, this place creates a comfortable place to relax and enjoy great food and drink. The pizza is thin crust and hand tossed and delicious! Highly recommend you stop by and check this gem out!

Yelp
I had a great meal. Service was terrific. Good price point. The restaurant looked more like a pizza place. I ordered the Boneless Asian Rib, it was outstanding!!
google avatar

Macy M.

Yelp
I'll start with the ambiance because it is so warm and cozy here. We came on a snowy night and the lights were dimmed, Christmas decor was lit up, and the fire our front was going. We ordered half delight and half pepper pizza. I really enjoy thin crust with an abundance of toppings - so this pizza was for me. My boyfriend didn't enjoy it as much, as it felt "too loaded" for him. Our server went missing halfway through our dining experience, but a shoutout to Justin for stepping in. He provided awesome service and deserves to be recognized!
google avatar

Amelia J.

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! We went for happy hour ($1 off cocktails, $2 off appetizers) and on Tuesdays they have $5 tap beers. We got the cheese curds which were fabulous! They weren't the typical greasy bulk buy cheese curds, but were rather large and FILLED with gooey cheese. I ordered a skinny cucumber cocktail that was quite refreshing. Only downside is that my meal was not as good as I hoped. I ordered the chicken tacos, which I think would have been great if the tacos didn't sit in the juice runoff and turn soggy. But overall a good experience with great service.

Yelp
I cannot rave enough about this place! The Asian fries are an absolute MUST!! I love the service and the atmosphere and will continue to support this business through take out.

Nancy D.

Yelp
Last night, Saturday, my husband ordered a chicken tender platter for him and, my favorite, a large sausage, mushroom and onion pizza. I worked late and when I got home, this was my pizza . What's missing? The sausage. I worked all day today and just got home, otherwise I would have contacted them sooner . Super disappointed. Then I sent them an email at firesidefoundry@gmail.com as per their website and got it back as undeliverable. Dobbratz Updated my review. They are giving me a pizza to replace the one I wrote about above. The manager responded to my email Monday. I appreciate good customer service and this is it!

Matt D.

Yelp
As a 100% Italian it is Really hard for me to find a Pizza like i get back home. Yesterday my wife ordered from Firesde. Wow was i suprised . It had a great sauce blend with a great Crust texture. My guess is the Owners and Employees take pride in there Pizza and Food. 5 Srars isnt enough. Thank you for the great food.

Ted H.

Yelp
Food was okay... nothing special. The service was awful. Waiter failed to listen for items on the order. Wrong appetizer came out... kids burger came with cheese (this was ordered without and confirmed). Follow up and billing was slow as well.

Yelp
Although I had an issue here which I'll eventually get to, this is a good restaurant which will very likely have multiple things on its menu which you will find to be delicious and awesome. The menu here is the perfect size; it has plenty of options, enough that it's tricky to pick something, but not so much that they don't seem focused on what they're good at. I'd call this "Cuisine Americana", if there were such a term. Maybe there is, I don't know. It's burgers and pizza and pasta and sandwiches and meat/potatoes. The atmosphere is bistro-y, but with a fire pit thing out front. It's nice, all of it. I've come here twice now with family members, and there was a lot of enthusiasm for what was served. We started this visit by splitting an appetizer of "Asian fries", which was French fries covered with tender Asian-style BBQ beef, and some other sauce. Loved it. Tasty and generously portioned for an appetizer. Too much for just one person. The entrees we tucked into with gusto included a small vegetarian pizza with an appealingly-rather-thin crust, as well as a massive meatloaf dinner which my cousin passionately believed was deserving of a strongly positive mention in this here review. Done. I ordered baked rigatoni, which unfortunately came to me in a state of undercookedness. It was cold in the middle. Our server was easily reachable immediately (she was always nearby, really), and she whisked it back to the oven and eventually returned it in the originally intended state, while promising to leave it off the bill. She definitely made it right, and left me confident that this establishment doesn't tolerate such mediocrity. I was pleased with her service throughout the night. I'm not sure if this was a Monday thing or what, but everything from the bar was 2-for-1 all night. We took advantage. I like this place, and will definitely return. It's clear that they care about the quality of their dishes. I want to go back soon and get one of those tasty-looking little pizzas, and maybe those Asian fries again.

Yelp
This restaurant continues to be too loud to be enjoyable while the food is decent it's not exceptional. During covid they did not mask well. The bar is so loud that the rest of the restaurant can barely have a conversation. I would not recommend bringing children here or particularly small babies
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Service is always excellent, attentive and genuine. The drinks are always strong. The food is always flavorful, hot, and the pizza done perfectly. If you haven't had their onion rings, run there RIGHT NOW! They are beer battered perfection. My mouth is watering right now thinking about them!
google avatar

Terri W.

Yelp
After 40 years of supporting this restaurant never again! No manager on duty on a busy Saturday night? Rude unorganized staff. Waited 45 minutes for a cold pizza. Was told not ready yet twice, turns out the pizza was sitting in the window the whole time. Would not recommend.
google avatar

Heather K.

Yelp
Check this place out! The space is adorable. My husband and I are able to get delicious entrees and they have a great kids menu. It's not a large space so I'd get reservations for a Friday or Saturday evening.
google avatar

Nate S.

Yelp
I don't ever review on here but this place was gross enough for me to say something bacon on the Buffalo bacon chicken wrap was soggy and slimy af, like definitely not fully cooked, and neither were the tator tots! I get the food is never as good when you get it delivered vs. eat in restaurant but even then it shouldn't be a pile of mush. They were the OPPOSITE of crispy. Also forgot the seasoned sour cream with the tots and that is what I was craving in the first place -___-

Colton S.

Yelp
The food and service is great. Buffalo chicken ranch wrap is a combo I wouldn't have thought would be good but is phenomenal

Yelp
I'm visiting my husband and eating my way through Minneapolis. It's a balmy 39 degrees. It was time to eat and my husband took me to Fireside Foundry for dinner. I love the fire pit that's in front of the restaurant. My husband ordered a Swiss mushroom burger, and I ordered a steak salad. The salad came with the most awesome, creamy blue cheese dressing I've ever had. Two skewers of steak adorned my plate. I was disappointed when I bit into the steak. It was two chewy for my taste. It was a shame, too, because the piece I did eat wasn't tough and was delicious. We ordered the chocolate cheesecake for dessert which I highly recommend. We plan to return when I visit again. Next time I'll do as my husband did and order a burger.

Jonathan L.

Yelp
First time visiting after the Art Festival. Great food. Cold beer. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Clean, decent happy customers, game was on. Staff was apathetic. They did not honor the happy hour special to takeout orders, which is not listed on their site. Nachos were decent. Good ingredients, good taste, but not prepared well. Won't be back, but you may like it if you are looking for a smaller sports bar.
google avatar

Ariel J.

Yelp
I didn't know about this place until I got an email from the city of Richfield that I get every quarter informing me of current events. We don't go to the Penn side of town too often, as we are on the Lyndale side mostly. It was really fun to try a new local spot! The menu has something for everyone. The staff wore masks and were very friendly and welcoming. We chose to sit outside, their patio is really nice. The food they make has really good quality ingredients and everything was cooked to perfection! We definitely want to come back and try some other menu items. The prices aren't bad for the quality you get either. Delicious!

Erin S.

Yelp
Love the food and I love the service. It's a great local hangout. Also the drinks are delicious!
google avatar

Leah T.

Yelp
Fireside Foundry is the perfect local hangout spot. They have a great bar with good variety of drinks, the food is amazing (try the meatloaf- it is spectacular), and the prices are more than reasonable. All of the staff are super friendly and give wonderful service.

Yelp
My wife and I had a $20 Groupon for this place. They have renovated recently I believe and it looks pretty upscale. It seems like it belongs on 50th and France in Edina, rather than Richfield. Prices were about $3 or $4 more than you would expect, but it's all good. I ordered a Surly Furious and the Banh Mi sandwich with a side salad and my wife got a cheeseless pizza with spinach on top. Our server was super nice and took care of us perfectly. I ordered a second Furious for the meal and tried a piece of my wife's pizza. Really thin crust, but crisp and flavorful sauce with plenty of toppings. My sandwich was really sticky with teriyaki sauce (#Edinaproblems) but the meat was perfect and the bun was huge. Great example of the sandwich style. REALLY GOOD! The side salad was fantastic as well with great blue cheese on the side. We really liked this place, it was $30 after tip with the Groupon. So it was about $50 for a meal, for the two of us, and I was the only one that had 2 beers. So a little pricey, but other than that, good stuff.

Yelp
Such a great bar/restaurant to go to after work or on the weekends. The staff are really nice and fun, and the food is good. I've gone there at least 20 times and have always had a good experience.

Amanda S.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere. Prices are high. The appetizers cost just as much as a meal. I recommended going during happy hour. They do charge for ranch and extra sauce. Service was good. Food was great. The Asian fries are delicious. Parking lot is small.

Sarah K.

Yelp
I have been on a five-year quest for decent pizza in Minneapolis. FOUND! I have tried every pizza that can be delivered. Not kidding. Fats (hate the sauce and crust but love the cheese), Dulonos (crap on cardboard) - just to name a few. Most Minneapolis pizza is inherently low-fat low carb gross. If you can't stand pizza, get out of the pizza kitchen! I want pizza, not a few flecks of cheese on a cracker. I don't care if you cut it in squares. I can't taste the square shape at all. I want pizza. This pizza is salty, cheesy, chewy - and wait for it - SEASONED!!! Oh my God. It's pizza like when I was a kid. I grew up here. I remember pizza. This is actually pizza! I cannot tell you how happy I am right now. I've been searching for so long... Please support this pizza or I might die from hunger if it goes away. Thank you. P.s. It was delivery via Doordash. Still hot and cheesy goodness!

Yelp
Let's see-- I tried this place out due to all the reviews. We love thin crust pizza, so why not try it, right? We ordered the veggie pizza, the pretzel app, and the Asian salad. Overall, service was fine. We sat on the patio, where the speakers quietly played pop music. This is kind of a pet peeve of mine. I can't stand soulless pop crap in public spaces. I just wanted to relax with my lady. Why do I have to listen to that? Anyway, the pizza was mediocre, and so was the Asian salad. Pizza had too much cheese for thin crust-- it was too similar to a frozen pizza at home. He salad was filled with that iceberg lettuce that was slightly yellow. Overall, when your menu is all over the place, like the foundry, then everything suffers. The patio chairs were nice, though!
google avatar

Paul P.

Yelp
I've been coming to Fireside for my entire life. It was my favorite pizza! Last 2 times, the crust has been mushy (when I've specified asked for it to be cooked well done) and I ask for them to cut it in squares, and they haven't been able to get it right. This time I can tell they cut it normally, and then realized their mistake, and hacked it somehow into triangles. Super disappointed!!!

Yelp
Dinner with friends! I was in town for work and meet up with friends for dinner. The place was really good. The onion rings rank up in the top echelon of onion rings! The beer batter is awesome. We also had the Asian fries. The meat was so tender and delicious. Paired with a fantastic sauce. I ordered the calibration and would do it again! The crust was the right blend between crispy and chewy. And the marinara sauce added a while other level of enjoyment! Highly recommend eating here!

Yelp
Great food, pretty atmosphere, and wonderful service. Fun local place, nice parking lot.

Yelp
This was a recommended restaurant from the hotel I was at. It was further than others but thought I would give it a try. Great outdoor seating, friendly staff and the pizza was great. Several local beers on draft which is also a plus. I travel here a couple of times a year and it's now on my must stop list.

Yelp
Excellent pizza (had many options and all good!) and the Asian Shortrib fries are spectacular!!

Tony S.

Yelp
A lot of promise but someone needs to tell the chef to dial back the salt. I'm not a salt sensitive person but everything- burger, sandwich, pizza was inedibly salty. Most of it went in the garbage. I suspect most of the five star reviews here are from bar patrons and long term locals who are forgiving for nostalgia reasons. If you're a few drinks down and having a good time, you might be more forgiving but bring it home to your family and you'll discover it's a "one and done type of new restaurant." Save yourself the 'one.'
