Fireside Burien Review - Burien - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Suppose you have super cool Midwest relatives who are great cooks, but also happen to be interior designers. Fireside would be their happy place. The walls of this mid-century-inspired spot are covered with warm wood accents, taxidermy, and vintage beer signs, and the menu matches the vibe. Fireside serves Midwest classics like tater tot hot dish, or fried walleye coated in Ritz cracker crumbs, which comes in either sandwich or basket form. And while the smashburgers could have more char, they’re solid anytime, and we’re fans of the Oklahoma onion version. If you’re not hungry, just sit at the bar and order a Minnesota Mule." - Nate Watters

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and very inviting. The service was absolutely amazing everyone was attentive and made us feel right at home. The bread was incredibly delicious, definitely a highlight! The steak was cooked well and full of flavor. Overall, a wonderful spot for a great meal and great vibes. Highly recommend!

Google
We had a wonderful waiter(Seth). The food was delicious and hot. I got the blackened mahi mahi sandwich. The flank of fish was huge and tasty. I ordered a bloody Mary and was unaware that it was served with a giant, foot long slice of bacon in it. 👎 That is my only complaint. If I may make a suggestion, place it across the top and give the customer the option.

Google
Needed a nice late night place to eat after Grady Nichols' concert. I had the porkchop with grilled potatoes and a peach sauce. It was delicious! Seth took good care of us, and food came out quickly. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for some great food at any time of day or night. The jalapeño cornbread was very good, also.

I love this restaurant except for the price. It has a clean and relaxing atmoshere. I ate lunch there yesterday and they seated me right away. My waitress was fast and attentive. My salad looks amazing but I think they put too much Honey. And I am hoping it was honey and not sugar. I did not get to eat it all cause I feel like I am going to have a diabetes if I continue eating it. The grilled salmon was really good. Service was good but the price I am not much happy about especially if you spend too much money on their slot machines in their casino. The salad I ordered comes with grilled chicken breast and had to pay extra $7 to substitute it with Salmon. So I paid about $25 for the salad plus tax and tips.

Google
Fireside Grille is a good place to eat if you're starting at the Riverspirit Resort but don't want anything overly pricey. The service was very inviting and friendly. We went for breakfast where I had the biscuits and gravy and a cup of coffee. The food is good but nothing special. The atmosphere is very pretty where you are greeted with a large open fireplace, high ceilings and dark wood paneling. All in all, the Fireside Grille is a pretty good place to eat.

Google
The Fireside Grill at the River Spirit Casino in Tulsa offers a diverse menu with a range of American cuisine. Known for its casual dining atmosphere, the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Popular breakfast items include the Country Fried Steak and Eggs, Biscuits and Gravy, and various scramble bowls like the Tex Mex Scramble and Big Country Scramble. For lunch and dinner, guests can enjoy dishes such as the T-Town Burger, Chicken Fried Steak, and Shrimp Scampi Linguini. The quality of the food and the service are commendable l. The comfortable, relaxing ambiance is also noted. Its tasty food and excellent service, makes it a reliable dining option within the River Spirit Casino Resort.

It was our first time eating here. It wasn't very busy, so we were seated right away. We had spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and for libations, hubby had a beer and I had a strawberry Lemonade cocktail (which was very good, btw). He ordered the T-Town burger and I had chicken fried steak. That was the most tender chicken fried steak I've ever had. The yukon gold potatoes were like velvet, and the green beans had just the right cook on them. Hubby said the burger was just ok. Kudos for an awesome meal. All of that for less than our dinner the previous night at Red Lobster.

Google
wow! the food was amazing. i recommend the spinach artichoke dip. so creamy and flavorful! our server jay was really helpful and we enjoyed his service. i got a steak and it was cooked to PERFECTION. one of the best stakes i’ve ever had (:

Yelp
Great food, good service. Very nice atmosphere. Away from all the noise of the casino

Yelp
We ordered crispy chicken sandwiches and fries last night to take up to our room. Asked for regular mayo instead of chipotle mayo. Of course they put the chipotle mayo on and it was not good at all. The chicken was bland and had no seasoning.

Yelp
We wanted food at 11 pm on a Sunday night and Fireside was open. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and my husband had a fried chicken sandwich. Both were fantastic. The French fries were freshly cut and some of the best I have ever had. We will definitely go back when we are back in Tulsa.

Yelp
This place is amazing. We ordered room service from this restaurant at least 3 times, and every time we did, the food was fabulous! The salmon salad, the Mahi Mahi fish sandwich, the nachos, the broccolini, even the meatloaf sandwich..... all of it was just deliciously made. Even the customer service was kind and welcoming. No complaints what so ever! I wish I had remembered to take pics of it all.

Yelp
My husband and I came here before a few months ago and had the filet mignon and it was delicious and incredible!! Our second time back and they brought this cut of meat to me and straight up told me it was a filet ... when it looks like a 6 oz sirloin you get from Texas Roadhouse that's all dry and tough. Then she waitress says they will bring a new one and then she brings out a ribeye then yet again claims it's a filet mignon. I'm very disappointed.

Fred M.

Yelp
Philly fries were excellent! Chicken pot pie was not what I was expecting, but very good nonetheless. 9 pm on a Sunday night.
google avatar

Jack J.

Yelp
We had catfish and burger wonderful. I've never had smoky tartar sauce it was surprisingly fabulous. Cayenne and Andrew were great service. The burger with the cheese curds amazing. Just another reason we'll return to River Spirit
google avatar

Yelp
I had the Chicken pot pie and my friend had the pork chop. Both were very good. Service was excellent.
google avatar

Raquel K.

Yelp
Excellent food! The pot pie was delicious in huge bowl, the deconstructed crust was perfectly cooked. Large well arranged portions. Others at table enjoyed enchilada meal. Coconut cream pie is most excellent. Will definitely eat here again.

Lynn M.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dining experience. The food is delicious and our server, Jay, was superb!

Yelp
Unimpressed on our first and only visit. We went for dinner before a comedy show, and we sat at the bar. Ordered drinks appetizers and dinner. Huge fail on service. I hate to blame it all on my server/bartender because it was clearly a management issue. Our bartender/server tried the best she could, but she had too many customers and too many responsibilities. Management issue 100%. The manager was visible to all, but clearly not providing any helpful support to her employees. The wings were fine. The fried green beans were yummy, the burger was basic and my enchilada was yummy. We would have loved to order more drinks, but our bartender was just too busy. Disappointing to say the least.

Yelp
This restaurant is on the slightly upper scale side. A little dated. The food is delicious and the staff was very slow but, I know the current condition of employment is struggling. We had a nacho type appetizer and a beef pot roast as well as salmon for dinner. I was pleasantly pleased. Will likely eat here again if we don't have to wait 15 minutes for a beer. Great food, ok service, prices are moderately expensive.

Yelp
It was bad. I'm giving 2 stars because service was ok enough and the fried green beans were ok but our main dishes were horrible. I ordered the pork chop entree and it was so salty it was inedible. I over salt everything so coming from me that's that says a lot. My husband ordered the catfish entree and said it really bad. We both had just a couple bites before just leaving. In the past I've enjoyed this place so maybe it was an off night or maybe it's gone downhill. If you go here stick with sandwiches and burgers. Those were good in the past.

João Gabriel C.

Yelp
Weirdest thing I've ever seen. Entre was ok, overpriced but ok. The best part (or I would say the worst) is when we ordered a ribeye steak $40 and it was thinner than 1/2 inch steak. We asked medium rare, but the steak came rare. Like chewy red, like a slime. I shared with my friends to see if they agreed and they both spit it out. We complained to the manager, by the way extremely rude, she got the pieces of the steak from the table, included the chewed piece. A few moments later she brings us the SAME steak and said: the other pieces are coming... (including the chewed one)!! We said, okay we just want our check. They didn't take the steak off the check. We discussed with the waiter (good person but bad service) how we could tip for that service. A while back she took the steak off the bill. We went to tip her in cash (I don't want to give any money to the rude manager) she didn't want the money due to "all this drama created". My guess is that the manager didn't want to take the steak off the bill. We left the money there (over 20%) of the tip. The picture below is the 2nd time cooked steak. Btw they didn't even flip it!

Yelp
The atmosphere is amazing! The service was professionally intimate and attentive to me as a customer. More so than most sit down establishments. The food was amazing! I had the mac and cheese as a main course. It was unusual, and unusually tastey The manager on duty was new to bartending, and attempted to make my drink....it was aweful, but he tried so hard and put so much heart into it, I drank it anyway . That enforced the 5th star. I followed up with an after dinner coffee which was brilliant The only drawback is that you have to walk through the smoking part of the casino to get to this establishment.

Yelp
I ordered late night to go(about 2am) and ordered breakfast the next morning from here. I ordered the catfish and added on fried oysters for an additional $5 I believe it was. Although very tasty, I was disappointed in the size of the oysters. It definitely wasn't worth it to me. My boyfriend got the cheeseburger and I added bacon and substituted the fries for Parmesean truffle fries... I absolutely love those Parmesean truffle fries. I think I ate majority of his and gave him my plain ones lol. We also got the smoke wings with Alabama white BBQ sauce. I was skeptical because I dislike most anything BBQ (although I'll try occasionally) and let me tell you... They were delicious! I was disappointed in the limited menu after midnight because I really wanted a baked potato. But overall I was pleased with my late-night dinner. Now for breakfast we ordered, cheese omelet with potato hash and bacon, pancakes and sausage and I got the bacon cheddar grits with scrambled eggs and bacon. Didn't really have any complaints there. Well maybe the grits. I'm a butter and sugar grits kinda girl but if you like savory then they may be for you

Yelp
It was horrible. I couldn't even eat my food and I wouldn't even bring it home to my dogs. Service was horrible all bathrooms were disgusting everything about this place was inadequate. Don't waste your money. I only gave it a star because I had to give it a star instead of giving minus stars
google avatar

Yelp
Can I give it zero stars? Ugh, where do I begin? My boyfriend and I chose fireside grill out of all the restaurants in the Tulsa area. All we wanted was a nice dinner. I could say so much about this place that I didn't care for, but I'm just going to jump to the nitty gritty. Laci was our waitress even though her name badge clearly shows jennifer. ‍ we ordered the chefs choice garlic bread which is absolutely nothing like it explains. I'm positive that the frozen garlic bread at Walmart would give them a run for their money. I ordered the shrimp scampi and my boyfriend ordered the seared chicken poblano. There was less than 20 people in the entire restaurant, it took 50 minutes to get us our food. My food looked okay, but I only got 1 bite before my boyfriend found a hair in his meal. We asked to speak to a manager, the waitress came out by herself and said they would comp that plate. Uhhhh ya you are. Where is the manager? She goes on again to get the manager who is just the chef saying she's a manager. I asked why she didn't come out when she was told there was a hair in his food. She explained that they don't babysit their waitstaff and want them to handle it on their own. After I explain to the "manager" ‍ that she will be comping not only his meal, but the entire meal because I am absolutely not going to finish my dish while my boyfriend watches me and pissed that his meal was ruined. Who in the actual F runs this place? Absolutely, without a doubt when a customer has a serious complaint such as that, or a steak not cooked properly, it's management 101 beginners class that the manager come to the table and apologize for the situation. Never ever ever expect a party of 2 to continue letting the other person finish their food. Never. They weren't happy but they can eat that hairy food themselves. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Not even my dogs.

Yelp
My party of 8 dined at this restaurant tonight. We waited for about 15 minutes before the waitress took our drink order. It took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive after we were finally able to order that. A burger and fries cost $12.00. The food taste was ok but not the best. The waitress was very curious but she only offered drink refills once during our visit. We will not be back.

Yelp
Came here for a nice dinner with my wife. Wanted to try something different . Honestly was a bit disappointed. Service was fine and food was decent. Took forever to get our meal though and the ambience didn't fit the pricer the food. Felt like a bit of a hotel lobby. I looked around and their were other tables that probably had a more intimate feel but we were seated under the large screen tv - kind of felt like we were on display - oh well. Probably won't be back.

Yelp
My niece was visiting us from Fairbanks, AK, and they had reserved a room in the casino hotel and wanted to treat my mom (her grandma) to dinner. Mom and I arrived at the casino about a half hour earlier than we were expected to meet up, and scanned the buffet out. The buffet choices were exactly what were offered on lunch the day before! Concerned that the buffet had leftover food, we decided to try Fireside. It was delicious! My nephew in law had a chicken fried steak, my niece the reuben, my mom had a burger, and I had two sides, since I had eaten lunch already. Everything was fresh, and tasty. My nephew in law commented on this being the first properly made chicken fried steak he had had since being in Oklahoma this time. You could tell it was hand breaded, and the portion was large. He had brussels sprouts and cheesy bacon grits for his sides. My niece loved the flavor of the reuben, but the sauce was too spicy for her tastes. I also had the cheesy bacon grits, and the grits had a proper texture, weren't cool and congealed, and were flavored just right. I also had a Caesar side salad, and for me, the portion was huge. Being I wasn't in yelp mode last night, I didn't take photos. But now that we've dined there, and it was good, that will now be our dining choice when I take mom to the casino and she gets hungry.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time with a friend visiting from out of town. I had the Chicken n Waffles with syrup made from Blue Moon Beer. The syrup was amazing and had a slight orange flavor which paired perfectly with the bacon cornmeal waffles. My friend had the grilled cheese which had fried cheese curds and other cheeses in it and the truffle fries. I tried her food, she tried mine. We were very impressed. The chips and queso are great, the chips were fresh and seasoned with a unique salt/pepper blend. We finished up the meal with butterscotch white chocolate bread pudding. Best bread pudding I have ever eaten! The staff was amazing as well! We will be back.

Yelp
Usually good food. Last times shrimp and grits and their salmon were good. Yesterday's visit the hamburger was good but the chicken fried chicken sandwich was chewy. Overall a good option for food choices. The bar is great with amazing service and drinks!
google avatar

Shelly B.

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast and drinks. The service wasn't great but the food made up for it. We had the boss hog omelette and Oklahoma Benedict, both were delicious. We had a party of eight and we're sat at a huge round table towards the back providing a ton of room for our adults to sit comfortably.

Rachael H.

Yelp
Used to like coming here but the last 2 times I've been I've definitely been uncomfortable. A manager named Jena has is always rude to the waitresses; even infront of guests. I don't have kids but if I did I wouldn't want them anywhere near here because of all the rude managers. DEFINITELY NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY
google avatar

Bj H.

Yelp
Have went a few times while staying at the hotel. 2 times I sat at the bar. Of those times, they bar tender offered bread to the couples at the bar, but never to me. The steak they serve is flavorless. The 2 good comments I would make are... brussell sprouts were VERY good. And they do a good job with the drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
Superb food! Beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. Filet is very tender. Sautéed spinach was tasty. Pork chops were great!

Yelp
I am staying at the River Spirit Casino for the weekend to relax. I woke up feeling a bit hungry for breakfast. The Fireside Grill is the perfect way to start the day. They offer a buffet and menu items. I opted for the Prime Rib hash and eggs. Very flavorful served with a side of horseradish. I must highlight my server, Amanda. She has the most genuine attitude and great smile. Every comment was followed with," My Pleasure. ". I believe her. She is absolutely a " golden nugget". Now on to winning my fortunes.
google avatar

Piper R.

Yelp
The Fireside Grill is located in River Spirit Casino, so you'll have to walk quite a bit to get there. It's worth it! As you enter, there's always a fire going in the fireplace (thus the name). The "cozy" doesn't stop there. It's quiet and relaxing, even though the casino is just a few steps away. For breakfast, share the Triple Hog---lots of food, lots of yum. For dinner, try the Bacon Shroom Pasta with a side of Grilled Asparagus. Excellent service, excellent food!

Yelp
The best cedar plank salmon since steak and ale! Will return!! The pretzels and beer cheese amazing too!!
google avatar

Brenda-David L.

Yelp
Amazing staff - attentive and so nice!! Beautiful restaurant - upscale atmosphere but makes you feel at home. Pretzels and beer cheese dip appetizer was so good - my husband had the bacon grilled cheese sandwich and I had the buffalo chicken wrap - both came with fry's. The french fry's were extra yummy with pieces of red pepper fry with them AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Staying at the River Spirit Casino for the first time and will definitely come back to this restaurant - sooo good!
google avatar

Yelp
We wondered in here by accident to eat and catch some sports out of the casino area. We sat at the bar and had immediate attention for a great bartender who was engaging and quick with service. The menu was more advanced and nuanced than you might expect in a casino. I went for the short-rib chef special for the night and wife went with Salmon. Both were really good. we had a few cocktails and relaxed. The atmosphere is upscale clubby with wood and stone throughout. High-end furnishings. We went back the next day for lunch and had a great rueben and chicken sandwich. Well worth a try if you want something a little different than normal casino or fast food fare.
google avatar

Gina C.

Yelp
A party of 4 just hanging out at the casino. We did not stay at the hotel. About 2 am we sat down and ordered breakfast. Nothing fancy, just eggs and sides. The waiter brought our drinks. Again nothing fancy just water and soda. After waiting 45 minutes with no one checking on us or offering drink refills, we got the waiters attention and asked where our food was, we waited a few more minutes. We finally just left. There was only about 5 other tables.
google avatar

Ohow T.

Yelp
Brought my mother here for a birthday get away and were impressed how well everything was made as well as the food tastes.

Amy N.

Yelp
I have eaten here only a couple of times but the cheesy grits are still my favorite. I was happy to see them on the menu and pleasantly surprised that they were so good.

Stacey M.

Yelp
Excellent service and great food! I had the filet and made a bunch of alterations to my order (no butter, salad for both sides) and our waitress didnt bat an eye at my request. She brought multiple soft drinks refills without asking. House cabernet was great and only $7 a glass. Filet was cooked perfectly! Shrimp cocktail and south salad were great too!
google avatar

Kim W.

Yelp
Love this place...the burgers are awesome. The atmosphere is great and the fireplace is the perfect setting for a great evening.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Customer service sucks. I literally waited 2 hours to be told I was wrong and they never got my order. Ummm ok. Strong no.

Janice D.

Yelp
I had the special last night. Ribeye steak w/shrimp and shiitake mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The steak was very tough and the marinade very sweet. The potatoes were cold and not that flavorful. At almost $50 I expected a lot more from the dish. Won't be ordering it again! They seemed very to have a problem cooking a rare steak, never juicy.
google avatar

Jon P.

Yelp
don't get the roast prime rib. they don't know how to make it. anticipating a delicious mid rare, my steak came out rare and obviously pan-seared. when i asked for more fire, it was grilled, and still maroon red. spicy mushrooms were spicy and good.

Yelp
This restaurant seemed very inviting, with beautiful surroundings. We ordered drinks and appetizers which were average. Our dinners came , I got what I had ordered. My friends were served a pork chop to the one that ordered chicken fried steak and fried catfish to the one that ordered pork chop. So the waiter took the fish back. Said he put a rush on the chicken fried steak and 2 of us slowly began to eat. Well, we were done and no chicken fried steak. We told him to just put it in a to go container because my friend that ordered it was too mad to eat at this point. Our waiter tells us that they will hold our food at the front for us while we go out in the casino. We paid and went to the front. When we asked the girls at the front to hold the chicken fried steak for us they said we can't hold food that's against state regulations. We said well our waiter who messed up our order said that you would hold it. She responded well we can hold it for 10 minutes, but that's all. At this point we asked to speak to the manager. The manager came out and we explained that the 3rd member of our party never got her food and the young waiter said they would hold it. To which he said the same that they cannot hold food unrefrigerated. My friend said well just refund our money. He left and came back and said well that we had ordered catfish and didn't like it so reordered. We then had to explain that we never ordered the catfish and wanted our money back. He continued to refuse a refund for the uneaten meal, but finally agreed to take the food back and hold it in the refrigerator. They also were quick to blame our waiter who had apparently just started. The fact that someone, either the waiter or the chef told him we ordered catfish first really irks me that they would lie to save themselves. Oh, and when we got home and opened the container , yes it contained chicken fried steak and 2 side orders that my friend would never order in a million years!
