I am in the neighborhood every Thursday to volunteer for LaSoupe, and finally decided to stop in to order lunch pizzas to go. Love the atmosphere of the place. The staff is so friendly. I ordered a make your own pizza with red sauce, and a white pizza with additions. Here are my thoughts: 1) The dough is fantastic 2) The amount of toppings are great 3) The red sauce is tomatoey but very salty, combine that with pepperoni and the result is a salt bomb 4) The white pizza cheese combo is the fabulous and a generous amount for cheesy goodness. 5) The wood-fire cook on the pizzas was perfect! This may sound dorky, but we keep a record of all of the pizza places we try all over the city, and this place belongs in the top 3 for sure.

Great local pizza joint. Flavorful dough, great homemade meatballs. Quick and friendly service (you order at the bar and then find a seat). Easy spot to grab a bite for a solo traveler or with a group of friends. Also dont skip out on the homemade ranch or red sauce.

The atmosphere and vibe are great! The pizza and salad were wonderful. The pizza is made in a wood fired oven. There are no wait staff. You order at the bar.

I would put 6 stars… but google won’t let me. Great food, great service and a rock star owner (literally). This place gets busy, so come early. Small bar available for those just wanting a drink and a slice… also great for families to come and dine. The interior design is very interesting to view, bringing a bit of life into this historic building. The owner is super friendly and the staff all were on point to help. We will be back!

Passing by and found this great spot for pizza. Building is from 1867 and the developer turn the old fire station into a pizzeria. Very good pizza, bottom has a good char from the oven. Pizza sauce taste like their own recipe/homemade, and it has plenty of sauce and cheese on the pie. Sauce might have too much water in it because ingredients slide off pretty easy once you pick up a slice, other than that no complaints. There is a bar and a couple of TV that you can enjoy your food and the game at the same time. Excellent place to bring friends and family

Google
Ordered gluten free pizzas and a Greek salad to go. Everything was fantastic. I marked a gluten allergy and they called to check on food prep processes. The dressing on the Greek salad was SO GOOD. All the sauces on pizzas were fantastic and much gave we foodies homemade vibes.

Google
We had the The Meats Pizza added mushrooms and onions. And I think the salad was a House Salad (husband ordered it for me). You would think the salad would be just basic. But it was incredible and the server was correct, small is perfect to share! The ham, eggs, onion were cut perfectly so every bite was delicious! The cheese bread ROCKED! Our friend said if the pizza is as good as the bread it will be incredible……all TRUE! I don’t know what pizza they ordered, but it looked great and I stole a piece of ham….oh my perfect!!!

Eli’s Bbq Pizza was delicious. Absolutely loved the crust. Ordered online was ready one or two minutes after I got to the restaurant. Will definitely be going back. should have taken a before photo lol

Yelp
Very good wood fired pizza, Also has a nice happy hour. Great location inside of an old fire house in walnut hills

Yelp
Been here several times and have determined it's one of my favorite pizza spots in Cincy. The pizza crust is pretty much perfect, crispy and a lil chewy. And I love the crumbly type of sausage they use. The meatball sub is dynamite. The meatballs are flavorful and covered in sauce, cheese and basil. One of these days I'll take a picture before biting eating it all!

Yelp
I really love the atmosphere here. The high ceiling, steampunk style decorations, festival lights, the homage to firefighters, and even the decorated paper plates on the wall all bespeak of a casual, hip, relaxed setting loyal to the community and to their firefighter legacy. Not to mention the amazing pizza oven in the exposed kitchen!! We were immediately waited on by a friendly knowledgeable host, who gave us instructions on how to order. You go up to the bar and put in your order, are given a paper cup for the soft drinks machine, and when the order is ready (very quickly) it is brought out to you. This is pretty much self-service: you even get your own take-out box, when ready for it, by going to the supply station near the drinks dispenser. The food is made-from-scratch, and pretty basic -- the pizza choices don't really pile on the sauce or ingredients (unless you build your own), though there are some creative options here. I got the pesto pizza. The pesto sauce wasn't garlicky enough for my taste, but, man, were they generous with the fresh mozzarella cheese!! The crust was thin, which suited the amount of ingredients. I chose ham as my one topping. I appreciated that it was chunks of ham rather than slices, until I realized it was ham loaf instead of real chopped ham, so it was a little disappointing. Excepting that, the pizza was a good satisfying bite. Over all, a great place to hang out with friends and get a decent slice of quickly-delivered pizza.

Yelp
Let me start by saying: my mom died in February and so maybe my taste buds are off or the world and everything in it feels just a little less good to me. The second thing I want to add: 3 stars for me isn't "bad"... it's just for what it is, the price, and for having so many 5 star reviews, I was expecting to be bowled over. Like wowed out of my shoes. And: IT IS GOOD. But it's not lose-your-shoes-great. The last thing I will say is that I do not have any allergies or need any food accommodations - it is my understanding that they do an excellent job with such requests and most places don't or won't make that effort. Service was friendly and ambiance is cute from what I could tell - I got my order to go. It strikes me as much more of a neighborhood place that's great to walk to... but I did ask for one pizza to be well done and it came out just exactly the same amount of done as the other one... which, I get it, fire is finicky... but they both could have been more cooked for my liking. That said the crust is very good, not the too chewy kind that you can sometimes get (those kind make my jaw tired chewing it), thin but not too thin. The sauce was solid. The toppings are evenly spread across the pizza and chopped into pleasing bite size pieces. The ranch was good (but if you want some of the best ranch you've had in your life, try Taco Casa - no I'm not joking). But that's sort of where it ends for me. It just sort of landed in the middle. Now if you're a fan or the owner or you work there - don't come for me... it is clear this is your passion and you've poured your heart into this. That really is apparent and thousands of other reviewers are decidedly dedicated to you. So please, don't listen to me - but if you're just thumbing through Yelp reviews, I hope you'll find my review helpful.

Yelp
Very solid pizza. Got it for takeout. Really liked the crust and how structured it was. Quick takeout service

Yelp
A classic cheese pizza is my favorite thing to get from here. The inside décor is super cute and it's always busy! The staff is friendly and great at recommending their always changing pizza specials. A classic Cincinnati pizza spot in my opinion!

Yelp
Nobody's ever going to mistake Cincinnati for Naples or New Haven when it comes to pizza, but things have improved here by leaps and bounds on the pizza front since we moved here in 2007. Fireside among those of in the vanguard of better Cincinnati pizza. Starting as a food truck, it was also among the vanguard in the gentrification of Walnut Hills--whether you view that as a good or bad thing (and it's a complicated subject)--starting in this brick-and-mortar (literally, both inside and outside) location in 2014. Fireside is located in an ancient rehabbed firehouse, and it's charming inside. But the pizza is what you're here for, and it's good. The crust is excellent, especially by Cincinnati standards--nice char and chew. Sauces have some zip to them. There's beer and wine available, but regrettably for us, no iced tea. Planting roots in a low-income neighborhood does allow for lower rents for the proprietor and lower prices for customers. At least at the beginning. But that's still what you more or less get at Fireside even a decade down the road, because Fireside still has some of the fairest prices in town. A 9-inch "personal" pizza is still only 9 or 10 bucks, which is more than fair in 2024. Some of the price-cutting is achieved through the counter-ordering system and drink-self service, as well as the rolls of paper towels on the table.

Yelp
Fireside remains one of the most consistently great pizza places in cincy. I've never had a bad pizza from there. The seasonal offerings are typically fantastic. This time we tried the peach pizza (Peachy Keen) and I loved it. Great fontina cheese. The sausage and Jalapeño pizza was also awesome. The meatballs were fantastic with really good bread and ricotta. The service is always friendly and speedy. Love the vibes of the place. Will continue to recommend.

Yelp
Super cool little pizza joint with about 10 tables inside and a small outdoor seating area. Fireside features a wood fire oven as well as beer, wine, and spirits. Upon arriving you place your order at the counter and get a "number" (it's an old VHS sleeve which I think is cool and some of you may not even know what that is) and your food is brought to your table. Personally I am not a fan of this especially with how small the place is. Also, if you want to have another drink it's back in line you go. The pizza is absolutely incredible. The dough was perfectly fired with a nice crispy undercarriage that held the toppings flawlessly. I went with the current special they had which consisted of lamb, curry, onions, potato, and cilantro I absolutely loved the pizza and would strongly recommend checking this place out. Personally I would stay clear of the cocktails and stick with beer and while.

Yelp
we stopped in while traveling...first thing we noticed was the beautiful building, second thing was how friendly and nice the staff were..the food was very tasty and cooked to perfection, I would travel here again just to eat at this place. :) keep up the good work guys!!

Yelp
At this point I know they are tired of seeing me haha I LOVE THIS PLACE - the people, the pizza and the beer! As a plant-based (vegan) individua, it's hard to come across a good pizza, let alone a GREAT one... but that's exactly what their vegan pizza and house made vegan ricotta cheese is! we not going to blow up the spot though so IYKYK about what else they offer
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
This place is so quaint. I love the twinkling lights hanging from the ceiling of this real, old fire station. I loved the cider, even though they didn't have the key lime cider that I initially ordered. I had the vegan pizza and it was very tasty. Everyone at my table was pleased with their pizzas!

Yelp
Awesome pizza and cheese bread. Could not get enough. The service was prompt and polite. The old firehouse was also great ambiance.

Yelp
Loved our food here. It was a quick stop passing through town, searching a local pizza place.... We found it Service was friendly and the place was just what you'd like to see. We had pizza and salads, just enough for us all to share. Everything is homemade and local... so Caesar dressing was a little for us, but the ranch was fantastic.

Yelp
Our go-to pizza spot in Cincinnati -- this historic fire station turned restaurant is the perfect spot for a date night or hangout with friends. Not to mention their happy hour is a great deal. Our two pizzas and two drinks came out to right around $20 including tip. The place has charm. You're greeted warmly into a cozy space with string lights overhead and plenty of seating. All orders are done at the bar, where they give you a VHS cover as a table marker (ours was Die Hard 2), and it's open seating. We opted for two small pizzas, Eli's BBQ and a custom with pepperoni/mushrooms -- both of which came out fresh and hot to our table. The pizza here is consistently delicious, thinner crust with chewiness. Get a side of their homemade ranch for a couple bucks for your crust.. so good. We opted for the Narragansett lager and house lemonade, which was the perfect pair with this meal since they are light, crisp, and refreshing. We plan to come back here again and again and again. Especially if we're ever hungry between the hours of 2-5 PM on a weekday, there's a good chance we'll catch you here.

Yelp
Great pizza with great service! Really enjoyed eating here. We had the Angry Oinker and the Greek pizzas. Definitely recommend! The old firehouse building is really cool!
google avatar

Audrey B.

Yelp
Chewy, aromatic crust with delicious topping options even for vegetarians. Loved the goat cheese special. The pizza was cooked to perfection, not too charred. They offered custom levels of baking too if you have a strong preference. Service was not the fastest because they didn't have many staff on a super busy evening. Regardless, they were very nice. It had a nice firehouse like ambiance with high ceilings. The outdoor tables were good since we had a dog, but the street was pretty loud.
google avatar

Doug K.

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner and a drink before heading to the Comfort Station speakeasy bar just down the street. The vibe is pretty cool as it's in an old fire station. You order up at the bar and then seat yourself and they bring your food out. The pizza was just okay. We got a large White Pizza and it was just fine. Nothing spectacular, nothing terrible, just fine. The crust was medium thickness and it was cooked well. The pizza felt on the order of take-out pizza that I could have ordered from a chain. They have some more specialty pizzas that I will try if we come back here, maybe those are better. Truthfully, the vibe was super cool, just wish the pizza was a little better.

Emilee S.

Yelp
Amazing food and atmosphere for a decent price! Got to hear some history about the building from the owner which was awesome, thought the wall was the best part!!! Super cool fire codes of sorts as it was an old fire station. Will definitely be back

Yelp
Great pizza. We found this place searching on Yelp and we weren't disappointed. Great selection of beer!
google avatar

Ray S.

Yelp
Love it when I'm "lost" and get lucky! . A restored Firehouse offering an extensive local craft beer selection, outstanding pizza (phenomenal crust), and excellent service. I almost passed on this spot (don't be deterred by surroundings) but decided to give it a try. What a great place to watch College Football!
google avatar

Vickie W.

Yelp
I Like going to this restaurant because it has a different way of making pizzas, I like the stove that they use. It's old-fashioned. The place is set up to be very comfortable with a wood setting with wood floors.

Yelp
When planning my family trip to Cincinnati, one of the first places I decided we needed to go was Fireside Pizza. I have a thing with eating pizza in different places I visit. I have an obsession with pizza, so if I can find a way to satisfy that craving I got for it. As the character Mouse, in the Matrix once said: "To deny our own impulses is to deny the very thing that makes us human.". The quote from the Matrix will make more sense further down, sadly there was no "lady in red" at Fireside Pizza. I also came to Fireside as It was named on Yelps Top 100 Restaurants in the Country in 2022 (At Number 67), and the reviews said the pizza was fire! Now that I have said that, let's get onto the review. We had just driven several hours from Van Wert, OH to Cincinnati, OH and we were famished. After dropping off our bags at the hotel, we drove here for some lunch. We planned on going to the Cincinnati Art Museum right after to enjoy some art. Fireside Pizza is located in an old fire station, the décor still looks like an old fire station. I love the ambience and I really love the little touches the place gives in regards to its service. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Instead of giving you a standard, ho-hum tabletop sign, they use old VHS covers from classic movies. I got the Matrix! Probably one of my favorite movies. I saw on other tables Animal House, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and the Empire Strikes Back! I think this is very clever. It adds to the ambience of this being an old place and also it brings back memories of a movie you love. You also do get your own sodas at the fountain. The service is very good. It did not take long for us to get our pizza. My family ordered some Caesar salads, and a Pepperoni Pizza. The salad was good, but the pizza was absolutely delicious! it was hot, it was cheesy, gooey, savory and I am not sure if I melted eating this pizza! I was like omg is this for real! "'What is real? How do you define 'real'? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain." Morpheus- The Matrix. Well my brain read the electrical impulses from all five of my senses and it said... this is amazing pizza! Once we finished eating the pizza, we ordered some cannolis. Take a look at them! They were friggin huge! It was an enjoyable meal, and a perfect start to our trip in Cincinnati!

Emily B.

Yelp
One of the best pizza places in town with the comfiest vibes, highly recommend. The employees are extremely friendly and welcoming!

Yelp
My review was posted years ago (not sure where it went), and the pizza is still amazing.

Yelp
Everything was fantastic. Could not have a nicer and accommodating staff. Jason especially was amazing! And highly recommend this place to everyone!

Yelp
I flew in from Texas to see my daughter at a competition at the University of Cincinnati. I found Fireside on Yelp from the great reviews, so gave it a try. Sat at the bar with my daughter. Had a chance to get to know Kevin. He was absolutely outstanding and found he was funnier than listening to a Joe Rogan podcast. Great pizza / service and would highly recommend Fireside Pizza.

Yelp
Great pizza and atmosphere. The employees really make you feel that they value your business. Super friendly and pleasant conversation.

Yelp
Super pizza and cannoli, all made in house. We had the Angry Oinker, Redlegs, Taft cookie beer, and cannoli. Let's start with foundation: the crust. It's perfect. Crisp bottom. Just the right goo where the sauce is, plenty of bubbles to satisfy crust lovers. The bones are the right size, small - about the size of a thick finger. I asked about the angry sauce and what to expect. I'm 2/5 of a good day. He said it would be pushing my limit. I thought it was Diavolo hot, so it was great! Spouse shed a tear when he bit into the Redlegs. He's been eating LaRosa's at work and kind of forgot what pizza is supposed to taste like. The cannoli has a little lemon essence and are just the right size to bite. I've already set a reminder that I'm getting stacks of these for my birthday. Ambiance is 80s GenX. I felt welcomed, but if nerd is not your realm, it may not be for you.

Yelp
Fireside is a casual pizza joint housed inside of a former firehouse garage. The walls are decorated with art from local artists. You go to the bar to order and that usually means that there isn't much service to speak of; however, there were multiple people who checked on us to make sure our meal was great and that we didn't need anything. The meatballs are tender and juicy and the bread they're served with is buttery and a perfect mix of soft & crunchy. I had the small chef salad sans tomatoes and egg and the lettuce was crisp and fresh, the cheese freshly grated, and the ranch dressing was so good. They cook their pizzas in a giant brick oven at the back and the flavor is proof-perfect crust with high quality toppings. The angry sauce is a spicy marinara is a perfect complement to the cheese pizza, but I would avoid it if you're sharing a pizza with a child because it does have quite a kick. I'm so glad I found this gem of an eatery!!
google avatar

Tyler J.

Yelp
Most amazing pizza and Caesar salad. It's in an old firehouse with oven from Italy. We come here every time we go to Cinci. Great local joint.

Karen B.

Yelp
Not like your usual pizza. Had a personal touch. Cooks are creative. Delicious I would return again just for that
google avatar

Yelp
Really good pizza, got great service for carry out. Best bet is to call instead of ordering online, you'll get your order faster. Have never eaten inside, but it's a cozy interior. Always enjoy the food here, much better than the chain pizza joints!

Yelp
I was in town and had a "pizza party" themed virtual work call so I needed to order some 'za delivered to my hotel for lunch. I found Fireside Pizza and saw their great reviews and decided to give it a shot. Great call! I had went with the 9 inch meats pizza that came topped with pepperoni, bacon, and sausage. Nothing wrong about that! The pizza was cooked in a wood fired oven so it had a nice char on it. The 9 inch was the perfect size for lunch (although if you are very hungry or want leftovers, highly recommend getting the larger size of 14 inches and/or an app or salad to go with it). Delivery was quick for lunch but was definitely ordered at a slightly later than peak time (around 1pm) so give yourself a little wiggle room if you need it by a certain time since their website says 60 minutes.

Janet T.

Yelp
My first time visiting Fireside Pizza (05-19-2025) after work to order a takeout my order was a Calzone with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms and cheese. My Calzone was excellent better than the one I'm use to ordering from Mio's in Clifton the Calzone was cook all the way to the edge not raw.
google avatar

Noah C.

Yelp
Highly underrated pizza joint in Walnut Hills that is one of my favorites in the city. The pizzas are on the smaller side but I really like how they were thin and crispy. I ordered it to-go and the pizza was very hot and seemed fresh. I definitely want to go back and order a pizza inside the restaurant next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Cool little spot! Great pizza! Me My wife and my 3 year old went for the evening had a great time and good food and solid service!
google avatar

Yelp
The owner came around to every table to see how the pizza was and the bartender was incredibly friendly (loved chatting w/you about Goose!). Oh, the pizza was also some of the best I've had in Cincy. Will be back.
google avatar

Susan W.

Yelp
LOVED the neighborhood vibe here!! One of the best Greek salads I've had, and paired with a pepperoni calzone , it was amazing! The wait for food was a little long (over half an hour) but apologies were made and it was all good. Worth the wait and we were just enjoying the evening with no time constraints. In a cute neighborhood and we would definitely return!

Yelp
Friends of ours invited us to go support this restaurant and we are so glad they did! It's a beautiful building with interesting history and that's just the beginning! They were friendly from the minute we walked in! You order at the bar and sit wherever you want! We had the The Meats Pizza added mushrooms and onions. And I think the salad was a House Salad (husband ordered it for me). You would think the salad would be just basic. But it was incredible and the server was correct, small is perfect to share! Yelp
Great low-key vibe! Very friendly staff and loved the neighborhood feel. Food was delicious got the Greek salad and redlegger pizza. Great crust on the za

Yelp
Calzone was overcooked and just not good. I didn't finish it, it wasn't worth the calories. The cashier raved about the calzone, which is why I ordered it. I'm a calzone connoisseur, would not order again. The pizza was above average and I would order that again.

Yelp
Needed a Lenten Friday lunch after touring Univ of Cincinnati with our son. Popped into Fireside based on the stellar Yelp reviews. WOW....super kind service, reasonable pricing, order came in a flash AND it was absolutely delish! They have a cool bar setup inside as well. Only wish I could pack them in my suitcase to come back to NJ with me!!

Yelp
The food is delicious! I ordered a calzone, it was so soft almost with a buttery taste, but not actually (if that makes sense). Very flavorful and fulfilling. Very friendly staff, and a great environment. Very spacious and nice music. Old school to be exact, I think I heard Run DMC playing. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and we were not rushed to order or to leave. Staff made small talk with us and the few others that were there.

Yelp

Yelp
Love the food, staff and services here. The ambiance is very casual layback and nostalgic. Thank you guys and we tipped the host/staff because it's a small business too.
