Celebrate International Chardonnay Day at These Boston-Area Spots | Eater

"If you’re the type to spend Memorial Day weekend bowling, watching sports, or keeping rowdy kids entertained with arcade games, you might as well head to Wamesit Lanes in Tewksbury and sip Harken Chardonnay while doing so. Set within the bowling complex, Firewater Tavern has crowd-pleasing bar snacks and the most massive drink list we’ve ever seen, replete with Mario-themed mocktails for the kiddos." - Molly McDonough

The restaurant inside Wamesit Bowling is an excellent place to eat. Really good quality food with a lot of choices at a reasonable price. Always polite, friendly and helpful staff. Wheelchair access at tables and restrooms is excellent. Most of the times we've visited it's been busy but not over crowded. Our latest visit it was quite loud, but it happened to be on their tenth year celebration and there was a Patriots game on. There are a lot of screens, but you can still talk and be heard. Obviously there is easy access to the arcade and bowling alley. Great selection of drinks and a few, but really good desserts. There is a separate kids menu too.

Update 3: After my last 2 downgrades on the bartender poor service here, I finally got to talk to a manager that cares. Brian is always seen helping customers and staff. He is a breath of fresh air on customers service. I was starting to lose hope with this place. To date the General Manager has never returned my calls but Brian being good at his management job has erased the bad memories of one bad bartender frim my reviews mind. Chuck at the Links bar is great as well. He knows how to pour a Guinness and pays attention to the customer. Tori at Links is also a great bartender and customer service person. Thanks again Brian for saving a customer. Many beer choices here, for all beer types of beer drinkers. Stout, larger, ipa ... many brands

We had a nice bowling time, then decided to eat here, and it was regrettably one of the worst food experiences we had. Let me start by saying that the waiter was very nice and quick and the seating is generally acceptable, but not the food. The service was the reason I gave 2 stars. It was one of the worst food I have ever had. We got nachos with BBQ chicken, fish tacos, mozarella sticks, and three kids meals (2 pizza and 1 cheeseburger) with fries and chocolate milk. Nachos lacked reasonable toppings and came cold. It was simply an amalgamation of chips glued hard with each other with rubbery cold cheese with the remaining topping sprinkled lightly on top... As for mozzarella sticks, just imagine you bought the worst grocery store brand, cooked it, left it for 2 hours, then came back to eat it. Chocolate milk for essentially the lowest quality sugary and watery chocolate milk you can ever buy. The rest of the food was average AT BEST. After the family had a night filled with joy playing bowling, we went home all aching from the food we ate and regretting the restaurant. The weirdest part to compliment that experience is that we asked for tomato and lettuce for the kids cheeseburger, only to realize when we got the check that we were charged $2 for the tomato slice and $0.5 for the leaf of lettuce. We were not told at all that they charge for these two pieces nor the pricing is reasonable. We will certainly come to bowl again, but will also certainly avoid this place.

First time there, first impression not good. Waited a while to be seated, for someone to come ask us for drinks, by the time they came, we placed our whole order. They ended up forgetting some drinks and had to remind them when they brought the food. No one checked in on us to see how we were doing. We kept hearing excuses about the new system and figuring it out but that's not customer service, it seemed more about understaffed.

Food was typical tavern food. Got the wolf pack sampler and i can't remember the exact name but it was like potato skins with it being deep fried potato with cheese and bacon but they were potato scoops. Or at least i think that's what they called them. Like a cross between cheese fries and potato skins. They were really good but I felt it was a small portion. The service was great. Very attentive and on top of things even though she was new. I got a mocktail that had Grapefruit juice in it and it was good. It was typical cocktail size but I was kinda expecting it to be the same size of a fountain soda. It was $6. The soda was $3. And the sampler was $20 or $22 and you got 4 mozzarella sticks 2 steal and cheese egg rolls 4 chicken wings and 4 chicken bites which were basically chicken nuggets. They let us sub the wings for bites. On a side note the bowling alley offers a sensory day where the lights are dim, the tvs are off, no flashing lights, and I think they shut down the arcade games too. It's for 2 hours Sunday morning from 10-12 I believe. It might be offered once a month. It was only listed for the month of July. And they have bumpers. No bowling shoes required. So happy they offer this for those with sensory challenges.

Great little pub within Wamesit Lanes. They have a bunch of specials every night including trivia on Mondays. They have good food and the staff is very friendly!

Their pesto flatbread, garlic bread was really tasty. Penne Pasta had no taste at all. Cocktails are okayish! This place is huge though and is fun during game nights.
