The 18 Best Restaurants in Park City, Utah | Eater

"What’s better than warming up over wood-fired meats and cocktails? Inside chef John Murcko’s industrial yet cozy Main Street restaurant, feasting on pork belly, wagyu, elk loin, game hen, and lamb shank is only half the fun. The other half is watching all of the action in the kitchen while you dine, gazing at the giant wood-fired grill set behind a dramatic wall of antique windows. Vegetable and fish dishes are offered as well." - Katie Shapiro

The pork belly, lamb, and black cod stood out the most. Service was amazing (Branden I think was his name). The smoked trout toast was amazing too, and we finished all the dishes. The duck was just a bit chewy at the cooking point recommended.

Just a really wonderful experience. We were sat looking at the kitchen with the wood burning fires as a show for us throughout dinner. The place is elegant, sleek, and rustic. Beautiful restaurant. The coursing and service was wonderful. We had a nice couple of cocktails which were the weakest offering of the night but were still really nice. Our server was so attentive and fantastic, great recommendations, constantly filled our glasses, and so kind in checking on us and explaining the restaurant. Also we loved the clean plates and silverware and high end service touches, very well done We then moved on to the food. The trout toast and pork belly were both so tasty. The trout toast was complex, salty, and fresh. The pork belly was like a take on a pork chop and applesauce, but totally elevated with perfectly cooked lean pork belly that was both tender and with nice crispy/chewy ends. For our second we had the crispy duck Cesar which was probably our weakest dish, but still really nice and interesting. Then the strip loin with a crab fritter and mushrooms was to die for. Perfectly cooked steak with a slice of nice juicy interior and also an end slice giving you a nice variety of texture and tenderness. The crab fritter had wonderful flavors of tarragon and burnt lemon. We finished the dinner with a wonderful carajillo, port, and espresso paired with their cheesecake torte that was very tasty and cutely shaped like the park city mountains. Overall just a wonderful fine dining experience. We went out to somewhere in Park City the night before and were at disappointed we were willing to give up on the food scene in Park City, but Firewood completely restored our faith! Bravo

This underground bar tucked beneath the restaurant is such a cool find. The space has a sophisticated vibe—modern yet rustic, with a darker, moody build-out that makes it feel both stylish and intimate. It’s the kind of place that instantly slows you down and invites you to just sink into the atmosphere. The drinks were phenomenal. I had one cocktail that came with a honeycomb and blackberries, and I still haven’t forgotten about it—it lingers as one of the most creative and memorable drinks I’ve ever had. Each cocktail feels carefully crafted, with a real attention to flavor and detail. We didn’t stay for dinner upstairs, but this spot alone was worth the visit. Such a chill place to relax before a meal or as its own destination for cocktails. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique underground experience in Park City.

Absolutely loved it. Visited July 2025. We asked what the bests restaurants in town were, for our wedding anniversary and, after not much though about it, picked this. We're happy we did as it did not disappoint. We didn't know the menu changes like twice per year and we had to change the entrees we had in mind from pictures we saw of the menu. We booked a table in advance so no wait time. Hands down to Matt, our server. He found out we were celebrating our anniversary and made it extra special. His attentiveness was outstanding. He brought out a extra salad on the house and even managed to let us at take a peek at the wood fire oven as we were so curious about it. Matt noticed I loved the artisan bread and he packed me one. It was my breakfast treat the next day. Such a great evening. Thank you! We hope to be back. Ps Later during the week, we learned there is a bar in the basement and it's supposed to be amazing. We'll be back, like I said

Our family had such an amazing dinner experience! I have celiac and a nut allergy. Our waiter Stephan and the manager made sure I was able to order and had a safe, enjoyable dinner. Our family will definitely return. Our meal was so memorable and delicious! Thank you so much!!

Dined here a few weeks ago and had a lovely experience! The service is friendly and attentive. The vibe of the restaurant is great, with a viewing of the kitchen where all the chefs are cooking which was really cool. We started with an amuse bouche which was a little smoked potato, and loved it. All the foods we ordered had a smoky flavor from the firewood and it was so nice to tie all the dishes together. We had the pear salad which had a candied pear on top and loved that. Then we had the scallop linguine and chicken which were both flavorful and incredible. Only wish the scallop portion was a bit larger for the price! Overall, had a lovely experience and will definitely be going back.

Wow. Firewood completely surpassed our expectations—and we already expected it to be amazing. Honestly, “amazing” doesn’t even begin to describe how incredible this restaurant is. The food is out of this world. If I understood correctly, the chef used to run several restaurants, but now he’s dedicated to this one, and it shows in every detail. Every dish is cooked with wood fire, which gives everything a unique flavor and tenderness that’s hard to put into words. The entire experience was outstanding. From the moment we sat down, it was clear this wasn’t just dinner—it was a perfectly orchestrated event. Our server, Beatrice, was fantastic. She made sure we had everything we needed, and her attention to detail was next level. And Darius, who handled things like refilling our water, clearing plates, and making sure everything was just right, was absolutely unbelievable. Between Beatrice and Darius, the service was impeccable. This is not a walk-in kind of place. They take reservations 90 days in advance, and trust me, you need to plan ahead. The restaurant was completely packed—every single table was taken. If you don’t make a reservation, you’re out of luck, and missing this would be a huge mistake. In short, Firewood is beyond worth it. From the crazy good food to the flawless service, this place delivers on every level. Do yourself a favor and go—it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
